CERELAC Baby Rice:

Australian guidelines support the introduction of iron-rich foods, such as fortified infant cereals, as ideal first foods. Nestlé CERELAC Baby Rice contains single grains and is rich in iron, containing on average 50% of the RDI* per serve.

When prepared, it has a smooth texture ideal for babies from 4 months. CERELAC also contains probiotic Bifidus BL, and can be easily mixed with a teaspoon of your baby’s favourite vegetable or fruit puree for a tasty variation. CERELAC Baby Rice is not recommended for infants under 4 months of age.

*Recommended dietary intake for infants up to 6 months

Instructions for Use:

Wash your hands before preparing your baby’s food. Make sure all utensils (spoon, bowl) are thoroughly clean.  Boil clean drinking water for 5 minutes. Allow to cool. Measure 60mL and pour lukewarm water^ into your baby’s bowl. Add 15g of CERELAC approx. 1.5 AU tablespoons. Stir until the cereal is a smooth consistency and feed immediately using a clean spoon. Discard any uneaten portion.

^ Water can be substituted with baby’s usual milk if desired. When prepared with breast milk, it may become more watery. Reduce quantity of breast milk added to achieve desired consistency. Extra nutrients will be provided if made up with breast milk or infant formula.

  • My LO when she 1st started on food loved this. As she got a bit older i started to add fruit to give her some more texture and flavour so its still one of her favourite breakfasts.

  • Easy to make up and baby ate it with no refusal – always a win! We would normally make our own from scratch but would be handy to have some of this on hand for emergencies.

  • This is the first time using this product and all I’ve got to say is that it is so convenient for the mornings. My son absolutely loved it which I was very surprised with. I would definitely recommend this for when you are starting your baby on solids!!

  • My 6 month old son absolutely loved this! I mixed it as per the instructions and I also made it with some pureed fruit put through and he ate it up every time! Will definitely be buying again, it is a great food for little ones. Just a great product for babies.

  • Cerelac has a good texture, smooth and not too gluggy. Max seemed to like the taste and we tasted it make sure. Max ate hungrily then stopped when he was filled. Easy to prepare and no nasties in it.

  • My nephew loved this cereal and took to it easily. His appetite has increased and it’s so good to see him love having breakfast. His mum adds some fruit purée to this cereal as well. It is easy to find in the shop aisle and is fairly priced. Happily recommend this other mums out there fir them to try with their babies.

  • Bub absolutely loves the Cerelac Baby Rice food! Gobbled it up did not fuss about. I love that it’s not only enjoyable to bub, but full of iron and probiotics!! WIN WIN!

  • I have used cerelac with my first born child and now with second i used it again. She loved it. Very easy to prepare and taste nice. You can do variations too by adding mashed banana and other fruits for the little ones to try. I’m very satisfied with it

  • Cerelac baby rice is definitely very convenient and easy to use and make for your little ones as they start their journey of starting solid foods. My sons both loved it and had no hesitation in trying it. Also very assuring that your little one is getting the nutrition and iron they need at this stage. I would more than recommend this to other friends and parents to try.

  • My daughter really liked eating this at 9 months but around 13 months she stopped eating it. I would highly recommend it for baby ages. She usually likes plain food but didn’t like anything mushy after a while. It must have been the texture. I will be using this for my baby on the way.

  • I tried Cerelac Baby Rice cereal on all 3 of my children. Honestly at the start it didn’t get taken well by them they had to get used to it. After awhile 2 of my children loved it mixed with fruit puree. My daughter however never took to the taste of it unfortunately, but I would recommend this product as its great for baby, its cheap to buy and great nutrition for them.

  • Tried Cerelac with my 5 month old as his first taste of solid food. At first he was a bit hesitant and unsure but by the end he seemed to enjoy it and got used to using a spoon.

  • I was pleasantly surprised my babe loved this for his first food. He would lean into it and want more. The consistency was good. Being a solely breast fed baby i opted to try it with boiled water to start with and he loved it. I will continue to mix with boiled water for convenience.
    Baby rice was relatively easy to prepare. I need to be organised with boiling the water early enough to allow time for it to cool before serving. I’d buy again and will continue to use.

  • Thank for your this opportunity to try and introduce something new to our family. I have since recommended to my fellow mums needing a quick and easy meal for bubs. The Introductions are very easy to follow. It makes up quite a decent amount per portion but you can easily adjust to need which I liked. Can make it a nice consistency with the ratios provided.

  • Didn’t mind this rice cereal from cerelac. I previously used the multigrain one but when comparing the two side by side they kind of taste the same and i realised the multigrain one doesn’t have much taste. This didn’t seem to phase our little one so that was not a problem. This rice version also only has one consistency which might be beneficial for fussy or sensitive eaters. I’ll keep buying as it was easy to portioned out by the instructions and very easy to make up. can pre-portion out and just add water when out and about

  • Our 11 month old son absolutely loves this cereal! We’ve mixed it with mashed banana for brekky, pureed veggies and mince or chicken for dinner and he has devoured it all. I find the instructions easy to follow and as bub gets more into chewing, have adjusted the cooled boiled water I add. It has iron and is so smooth so I have no reservations adding this to the food that we cook and puree for our son. It’s got a strong rice flavour so you know you’re serving your child the actual advertised food.

  • We’ve been slowly transitioning bub onto solids and he’s loving this. Started with a more watery consistency but have progressed to a stodgier one and he’s taken to it like a duck to water. I like that it’s fortified with iron and is a well known brand and easier to find in grocery stores

  • I received a sample of cerelac rice with the oats & wheat sample so thought I would try it with my 7 month old. The most complicated part of preparation was having cooled boiled water for preparing it with. As I don’t use formula this was an added thing I had to do so took more time to prepare than it may take others. Because it’s aimed at 4+ months it is a more liquid puree consistency when compared to the oats & wheat one. My daughter easily accepted it due to the puree consistency, however, she preferred the oats & wheat one more. My dogs didn’t seem to mind it at all and loved helping with the clean up!

  • Very convenient to prepare for a hungry, crying bub. My little one loved the taste and finished his bowl off. It was great to know that his breakfast contained good nutrients required for a baby. From one mum to another I would highly recommend this product.

  • We introduced this to our bub and she loved it since. Breakfast time can be tricky with little ones, but this cereal is super easy and a healthy option. It thickens up nicely and is easy for them to eat.
    Very quick to make as well and easy to carry on trips. A quick and easy breakfast.
    It’s completely worth the money and yes I would recommend this to other parents.

  • Cerelac was easy to prepare. Just add water and mix. When mixed, it had a nice smell. It did not make clumps unlike other mixtures. Baby was happy.

  • We recently tried this product and our 6 month old loves it! It is now part of our daily routine! It is very easy to make and quick! And easily accepted by our girl. Would 100% recommend to any parent starting solids!

  • My bub took to the Cerelac baby rice right away. It is easy to make, great for a busy mum. I have tried serving it as is and also with some fruit purée to mix it up. Knowing the baby rice has got a good amount of iron is great too.

  • This baby rice cereal was the first purée I fed to my child. He had no trouble with it at all and it is super easy to prepare. The taste is light and great as a first solid/purée food for my baby. I like how it has the added iron and vitamin C.

  • My baby is quite fussy with baby cereal. He never liked the rice cereals I gave him. To my surprise, he loved Cerelac rice cereal. It has a bit of a texture he likes. It is not overly creamy like the other cereals I tried. Happy baby happy mum 🙂 I have already repurchased it!

  • Cerelac baby rice was accepted by my baby. Once she is a bit bigger and better at purees i will give her cerelac as part of her daily meal. It has good nutrition and iron in it. I used her normal formula to make the cerelac baby rice and i found it very user friendly and it was easy to make. Overall very good product and intend to use more in the future.

  • Cerelac baby rice was easy to make and convenient. I even took it with me on the go. My baby took to it, although I added in some of my own pear puree. I would keep some of this in the cupboard for back up.

  • This is a good staple for babies starting on solids. As my baby is a little older I found I still had to prepare some fruit to flavour it. However, it is a good base to build your breakfast on.

  • We love this for breakfast. It’s easy to mix and the variety of flavours keeps it interesting, while exposing baby to new tastes. It will now be a regular in our house. I just wish it came in travel pouches too!

  • This is a great breakfast go to, as bubs gets older, I mix it with weetbix and fresh fruits. It’s great knowing he will get the extra iron. Easy to prepare too!

  • Being a new texture for bub she did squish her face up until she was use to the “fluffiness” texture. She wasn’t sure on the taste so mum tried too, pleasantly not bad. I feel as time goes on I could add fruits to the cereal for another texture again. A good starting point for babies experimenting with foods.

  • The child loved it , wanted more but was worried she might have a tummy ache, i can recommend this product to all mums as it filling and nutritious meal. I will continue feeding this until she grows out of it.

  • My son has been nothing short of fussy with food recently, hellish teething and the discovery that he can drop food meant he didn’t have much interest in what I was offering him. I received the baby cereal and was impressed with the packaging, it was eye catching and appealing. The instructions were easy to follow and hard to mess up. I prepared as instructed and was impressed with the texture, and tasted some myself and found it pretty tasty.
    Initially my son wasn’t interested and just wanted the spoon, he eventually got some into his own mouth and happily ate it. He then allowed me to continue feeding him and for the first time in weeks we were scraping the bowl. He then accepted Cerelac for breakfast for the next week and seemed to enjoy it! I’ll definitely purchase myself when we run out!
    My only complaint would be that the inner bag isn’t resealable, I’d much prefer packaging that reseals.

  • Super easy to prepare and is an excellent way to start off solids. Re texture is great and no need to worry about clumps that may cause choking. Bubs loved her first taste of solids.

  • My daughter absolutely loved this. It puts my mind at ease to know that as well as it being delicious, it contains added iron and vitamin C that she is needing as part of her everyday diet. She ate a whole bowl of it and was kicking her legs between every mouthful. That’s how you know you have one satisfied baby!

  • First off, love the packaging the baby rice comes in! Super cute. I was really impressed by how easy the product was to prepare and its a really nice smooth texture that’s easy for baby to get used to when they’re first starting out. Also love that its packed with iron and contains added goodness like probiotics and vitamin c! Feels good giving my baby something that they really like the taste & texture of and i know its all good stuff inside.

  • I would recommend CERELAC to other parents as it was easy to make, had a smooth texture, was very tasty and my bub absolutely loved it!! The only downside was the package was not resealable and had to be stored in a container.

  • I was given a sample of the Cerelac Baby rice with the Multigrain Pear to try. Seeing my grandchild was older than the 4 months I decided to stew some fruit up and mix it in with the rice. My grandchild loved it and the baby rice is easy to make then I just stirred in the stewed fruit. Very easy and my grandchild wanted more

  • Cerelac baby rice was an easy and enjoyable way to start solids for our newly 4 month old. I love starting solids and always start with baby rice and purée until moving into finger food around 6 months. I mixed the baby rice with breast milk instead of water. Bub accepted the baby rice easily and seemed to like the taste, she definitely enjoyed it more when mixed with breastmilk over water. I’m guessing because it was a touch sweeter. We will continue to use the rice cereal and mix it with fruit and veg purées over the next couple of months. This gives me peace of mind knowing that our baby is getting a good dose of iron, vitamin C and probiotics along with the vitamins and minerals from purées. The packaging is appealing and you definitely get good quality and quantity for the price. Thanks Nestle for making introducing solids easy 🙂

  • I loved our cerelac cereal. It is such a convenient breakfast to feed my daughter. I found that the flavour of the pear was just right and that She loved it and could not get enough. It is very easy for her to eat.

  • It is such a good brand with such an amazing variety of cerelac my little one really likes to eat it . It is very easy to use . Its has nutrients which a little one needs at their age. Highly recommended to others mothers

  • My baby loved Cerelac baby rice! It’s super easy to make and convenient. She liked it plain and also mixed with puree fruit. Even better is that it is packed with iron and has vitamin c so I know my baby is getting what she needs.

  • Nestle CERELAC Baby Rice is super easy to prepare. I used formula to prepare the baby rice. My son is 5 months old and I don’t think he is completely ready for solids but he did try the Baby Rice. The packet sizes are perfect although, I would prefer a smaller size for when babies start on solids. Would definitely try again!

  • The cereal tasted fine i think, i tried… However my baby is not a fan of cereal. I tried mixing it with some pumpkin puree which is her favourite and she did eat a little but still not much. She is not a fan of oats either so its definitely not a bad product just baby’s preference.
    I also tried mixing some into her milk and she still dont like them.

  • We fed our son the CERLAC Baby Rice and he loved it. It was very easy and convenient to prepare and our bub tried it plain at first and then we stirred in banana. He enjoyed it plain but also took it well with other food added.

    We followed the instructions to a tee and found the consistency just right as it wasn’t too runny or to thick.

    I would buy this product again and recommend it as it compares well to other similar products ont he market.
