Occasionally my toilet trained girls have accidents and during the winter time I like to put them in nappies at night just cause it is so cold and I am glad that I have Woolworths Select Once upon a time Nappies floating around, just pop them on and away we go. Great for moments when you just need them. I know I can rely on Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time nappies.

Using them again... I'm Pregnant!

by
5 out of 5

Looks like I will be using them again, firstly my twins loved them and now they are toilet trained! Woo Whoo! Secondly I am pregnant again, just, due in December 2015 so when this little one comes we will be starting to use nappies again :) . Had fun using Once Upon A time nappies with my twins so will have fun using with my new born.

Great for toilet training!

by
5 out of 5

Great for using when toilet training, easy to get on and come off, reusable if not wet, my girls will use again and again for the day if dry and its a great reward to have a dry nappy. But if they accidently wet themselves they go to the change table and grab a woollies once upon a time one over our other brand. That says something! :)

Using for a while now

by
5 out of 5

I have repurchased this product after trialling it out. My current brand is ALDI and Huggies and I now also use Woolworths Select once upon a time nappies also now. They are definitely great during the busy times of the day, easy to get in and out of and reusable when toddler is toilet training and nappy is dry. I have recommended the nappy to quite a number of people now and my cousin loves using them and will continue to use them. Thanks Woolworths and Mouth of Mums for letting me review your products :)

I loved using these nappies. They have the absorbency & quality of the top end nappies without the hefty price tag. I used them on my 2.5 year old and never had a leak. I will definitely be buying them again and will recommend them to all my mummy friends.

Great for multiple children - Right kind of nappy!

by
5 out of 5

Its great value especially when you have more than one in nappies. I have twin girls and twice the amount of nappies used then my first daughter. Having the right nappy, one that doesn't leak during the day when they are at their busiest is what most mums are looking for. To have the peace and mind that your child is dry, comfy and enjoying their day without being wet and uncomfortable is what Woolworths select Once a Time Nappies is all about.

Great nappy pants too!

by
5 out of 5

My friend absolutely loved the nappy pants for her daughter, she thought that they were so soft and had lots of padding to keep her daughter comfy. She had no leakages and was quite surprised with the stretchiness of the nappy. Since then she had bought Woolworths Select Once Upon a time Nappies and will continue to buy them.

good for cheap nappies

by
5 out of 5

I have just started using once upon a time nappies as i am struggling financially at the moment. I always use huggies or babylove because they have so much protection and mostly a good fit. After using the once upon a time nappies I realised they don't last as long as the others they have less absorption andless protectiong

Definitely a better choice nappy!

by

Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time nappies are fantastic value for money. They definitely compare extremely well to the more expensive brands especially with their triple layer technology and the double leg cuffs which isn't something that is available across all brands. Once Upon a Time nappies offer a wonderful fit which is secure, yet comfortable and doesn't leave any impressions on the child's skin from wear. I am extremely happy with the quality of these nappies and would definitely recommend them as well as use them again. Another thing which adds to the convenience of this product is that as it is a Woolworths item you can purchase them online and have them delivered along with your groceries. Whereas if you purchase a brand which is only available at one particular chain of supermarket which doesn't offer online shopping nor delivery you don't really have this option. I highly rate Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time nappies, and truly appreciate the opportunity to trial this fantastic product thank you so very much!

great alternative to the major brands!

by
5 out of 5

My first impressions of these nappies were definitely proved wrong! I'm using the 4kg-8kg pack and originally, I felt they looked cheap & not very absorbent. They're great once on & don't look too bulky like some brands do. First night of wearing the nappies and my 11 week old slept more than 8 hours and we had no leaks!! I don't have a preference when doing my food shopping, but I will definitely buy these when shopping at Woolworths.

The best nappy on the market

by
4.95 out of 5

Oh my god, I absolutely love these nappies. Large enough, absorbent, they fit baby well. They come in great designs, the weight range is suitable per each stage of development. I am so so disappointed that they appear to have gotten rid of these nappies and replaced them with nappy pants instead. Bring them back please!!!!

Good absorption and no leaks

by
4.95 out of 5

I used Woolworths Once Upon a Time Toddler Nappies for my 2 year old daughter and I found them very comparable to other brands. I experienced no leaks and they were very easy for her to get on and off. I stopped using them only because I now prefer nappy pants and I have not found any in this range. I am having a baby in November 2015 and will definitely try the newborn nappies when he arrives.

I tried these nappies out on my kids and I thought they were great. They fit better than other brands and I didn't find any leakages or problems when using them. I found them affordable and great quality for the price and I will continue to use them when my next child arrives mid 2015.

I love them! I've found much more absorbant and closer to the true sizing compared to other brands. These have been the only nappies we've been able to put on our daughter and have them last all night. They are great value for money. They have a cute pattern across the band depending on size which makes it super easy to know what size the nappy is.

Best nappy I've used

by
4.9 out of 5

I used Woolworths Select Once Upon A Time Nappies on my son and found they worked better than some highly recommended brands. I've used them again when my granddaughter was born 3 years ago and now for my grandson. They leak less than Huggies nappies and you can pick up a small packet for around $6 when they're on sale. I love a bargain and I love these nappies. I've never had a problem with them.

These nappies at first I was a little put off maybe the basic packaging ( yes packaging appeals to me) But the cheap price tag and bulk amount of nappies I thought I would gibe it a try since having 2 babies in the same nappy size They are amazing absorbent and don't fall apart(I thought they may being so cheap) they also didn't affect my sons sensetive skin which is a plus!; Would highly reccomend!!

Great nappies

by
4.9 out of 5

I found these nappies to be great. A lot cheaper than many other brands which is fantastic with twins. They were a good fit and stayed on securely even during a day on two year old boys. They were very absorbent and both boys didn't wet through their nappies overnight as other cheap brands do. Very happy with these nappies.

great quality nappy that won't break the bank

by
4.9 out of 5

I have found these nappies to not only be of great quality but is good value for money as well. Using other more expensive brands over the years, I have able to test them out and have found that even though you pay top dollar, doesn't mean their product will deliver. These nappies have great absorbency, fit where it's needed most, easy changing design and is cost effective... Win win in my books

I received a packet of the newborn Woolworths select one upon a time nappies and at first was weary if they would say everything that they claim but after using them for a week I was pleasantly surprised. Not only were they easy to use but they were comfortable for my child and help everything in with no leakages. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is wanting to try something new that is affordable.

I found these nappies really good. I was given them by my sister in law as her son had gone up a size and I used them on my infant boy (4-6kg sizing) and they fit well, we had no leakage and was very happy with the quality and happy with the price too.

Cheap, but not so nasty. :D

by
4.85 out of 5

I like these nappies. My baby prefers Huggies, but I like these for when he isn't feeling well, because he has numerous extra nappy changes, these are so much cheaper, and I feel less guilty for changing them so fast. Lol. They are quite good, though. We can't expect a $5 pack of nappies to be in the same league as a $30 pack of nappies, but for the price... they're fantastic! I recommend them for day use, but not so much for night. I find the legs to be much wider than similar sized Huggies, so accidents are inevitable over night. That said, my bub has skinny legs. :D

I was afraid to change brands as I have been using the same happies since my daughter was born 7 years ago and keep using them with my boys. I found the nappies great! Easy to use, not too tight & not too loose. I loved the colours & designs. No leaks, lasted all night with no wet patches. I usually buy Aldi nappies, but I know I can trust these now too. The pull-ups are easy for my toddler to use himself.

Exceptional Value for Money

by
4.85 out of 5

I liked the colour (light green) of the printed pattern of ducks, butterflys, turtles, fish, snails & stretchy elastic around the legs making for a well fitting nappy. Tabs were strong and did not break off which happens on alot of other brands. I was pleasantly surprised as Woolies had them on special for only $8 a pack. A great day time nappy for out and about with no leakages even with number 2's. Thoroughly recommend and I have already bought another packet.

I found that Woolworths Select Once Upon a weren't good when my daughter was a newborn and found that they just leaked. Now a toddler I tried this brand in the nappy pants range and find they're fantastic. Good fit around the tummy and leg holes, no sagging and no leakage. I'm super happy with the price, thank you woolies it's the cheapest on the shelf. I buy this brand whenever I shop at Woolworths.

I approve of these nappies! Good value choice

by
4.85 out of 5

We have previously fell in love with the Aldi nappies even though we are half an hour away from an Aldi store; now after sampling these Woolworths nappies I'll be including these in our much more convenient local shop! I was concerned about nappy rash and absorbency - highest priority factors in my opinion.... We experienced no rash and the absorbency never failed - despite accidently neglecting to change my 2.5 year old for over 5 hours while out for a day at a theme park!

Cute nappies that fit well and seem very comfortable

by
4.85 out of 5

I LOVE these nappies. I think they have an adorable print and I know that is not what you buy nappies for but they are cute. I have found them to fit very well. the elastic waist band is great and the velcro is strong, I also like how the waist band folds down nicely over the velcro to prevent the nappy been undone by little fingers. I have found them to be very absorbent - no problems from leakage for me. I give them a 10/10! :)

Once Upon a Time - Bargain for the Quality

by
4.85 out of 5

We have been using Woolworths Once Upon a Time nappies now for 3.5 years across 2 babies. Store brand nappies have come a long way since my teen was a baby, these days the Woolies nappies are top quality, we have no leaks at night time, no no.2 explosions, and best of all, no rashes. There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of buying a store brand nappy over the leading brand, these days I wouldn't touch the leading brand. Woolies nappies are a baragain at only $23 for the bulk box ($10 cheaper than the leading brand!)

At the beginning I didn't like them but as I started using them more and more, I found out that they are actually quite good. During the day... Awesome! Will stick with my Aldi brand at night but cant complain, they did great for my twin girls and when you don't have an Aldi near buy these are awesome. Its good to be able to find another type of brand when your normal brand is unavailable. Thanks Woolworths!

I have a grand daughter born with bowel issues so at three nearly four is still in nappies. I find these are great. There comfy for her. She lets me know when she is dirty so no problems there .. When wet. She also let's me know . The leg does not bite into her like some of the others and we have had no rash .. Kiera will be fitted with a bag for her bowel when she is four and a bit ..

I'm so excited not to have to go to an entirely different supermarket jidaughter for naappies now that I've tried and reviewed the Once Upon A TIme nappies. I love them so much for my ever exploding 3 month old thay I've just bought the large pack. she is still yet to have a leak and I'm super impressed. I'm also really loving the pull ups for my very recently toilet trained daughter. she wears her 'big girl nappy knickers ' to bed amd loves the design

Perfect size

by
4.8 out of 5

I was getting really frustrated at a point when buying nappies because the sizes were always awkward and non accurate. My daughter is 9 kg and sometimes even when I get those 6-12kg nappies, they don't fit well. WOOLWORTHS SELECT ONCE UPON A TIME NAPPIES was fantastic and just fits perfectly!

  • Review from

Very impressed

by
4.8 out of 5

Well the nappies have stood up to the test of a camping trip and my toddler who loves to take off her nappies! She pulls the tabs off all the time and the tabs never failed to re-stick. The nappies aren't as "pretty" as some other brands, and don't appear as "soft" out of the packet as huggies or babylove, but my daughter certainly didn't notice the difference. I'm not sure what the absorbency is, but we have occasionally had gel beads come through some of the more expensive brands lining, but did not have a single issue with these once upon a time nappies. I will definitely switch to this brand, and as my daughter is removing nappies and starting to look like making a serious go at toilet training, will keep an eye out for the nappy pants in store (Just have to see if there is a size small enough as she is still in crawler sized nappies!). Well done Woolworths on this excellent product that is so easy on the budget!

Awesome for over 6 months

by

I used these because of the lower cost. I found they leaked for babies under about 6 months because my boys were skinny leg things but my bub girl was a little chubby leg girl and for her they were great. She still uses them now at age almost 2.

I really liked the look and feel of the Once Upon a Time nappies. They were soft and fit my baby well. The sizing was perfect for my little one as i have been having trouble finding nappies that aren't too big or small for him. I had no problem with leakage and they worked well overnight. The prints on the nappies are very cute and appealing to me. Would continue to use these nappies on my baby.

I bought Once upon a time nappies when they were discounted to try them out and I was quite surprised about the quality despite the fact that they were so much cheaper than Huggies and Babylove. Although they appear to be less padded and absorbent, we never had any leakage issues at all. I would buy them again and recommend to other mothers.

The Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time nappies would have to be one of my favourite nappies. I've used brand nappies and found that the Woolworths nappies are equivalent if not better than them. All nappies leak occasionally but I found these to be more leak proof and less bulky.

If you can get a nappy for under 20 cents it's value +. Especially when you have kids that like to do their number 2's in fresh nappies! Why pay 40 cents + for a nappy that is only on a child for less than half an hour. I find Woolworths select nappies to be much better than the likes of other cheaper nappies like Dymples and the price is hard to beat when on special. I've even found them to last the distance overnight which is what you need and I like that even with a lot of moisture they don't show the crystals as I have had some nappies do in the past.

I was pleasantly suprised. My son is in toddler nappiesin snugglers not for weight but due to his length and was concerned that these in the toddler were going to be too big as there seems to be a lot of variance between brands. They did fit however they were a little tight around his leg giving him a bit of a rub mark. I did not notice however that they don't seem to hold much liquid and really do sag even after just 1 wee in saying that though we had no leaks at all even over night. I have used aldi nappies before and with those i noticed that my child smelled of wee with these I didn't notice any unpleasant odor which was great. Design was cute and they felt lovely and soft. I would purchase these again

Love The Fit

by

I love these nappies! I have already gone out and purchased more and will be changing from Comfy Bots which I have used for my last two children. I also have used Huggies but found they leaked more and I had better luck with comfy bots. But I am happy to say I have found a really great brand , Select Once Upon A Time, that is cost effective, has an awesome fit for my little chubby legs daughter and I quite like the generic pictures. I also like the fact they put a number on the front tab of the nappy in case you have any left over you'll definitely know the size of them. Thanks MOM for the chance to review as I have found a great nappy that I probably wouldn't have bothered trying otherwise!!

I received my packet a few days ago & was impressed by first impressions. I love the colour & the designs are very cute, however maybe a little feminine. My son likes them. He is 3 & we are in the process of toilet training, so he mainly wears nappies at night. So far I have found them to be excellent. No leaks or problems at all! My preferred brand is Aldi, because the price & product is great, & now I can buy Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time nappies with full confidence that this product is just as good as the current brand I like.

WOOLWORTHS SELECT NAPPIES ARE GREAT

by
4.55 out of 5

I have been watching out for something new for my daughter-in-law for the 2 youngest granddaughters. It is hard for a young family to afford a great deal of disposable nappies so we are always on the lookout for good quality cheap nappies, not the ones that clump and fall apart as soon as they are wet. So, awhile after seeing the Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time Nappies, I recommended my daughter-in-law to buy some. She has used them non stop since. She even travels quite a distance to get them as she feels the 2 youngest don't seem to get a nappy rash, the 3 year old only uses them in bed now, and they don't leak even after having a good nights sleep. The youngest is almost 2 now, she only wears nappies at night and when they are going out for quite awhile like going shopping where they don't have access to a toilet easily. She highly recommends the 'Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time Nappies' to everyone, they save so much money using them as they hold everything in well.

The Woolworths Select nappies are good quality, easy to use, absorbent, and is priced competitively. I have no hesitation in buying this brand over the current brand that I use. Bub is comfortable wearing the nappy, no leaks equal happy mum! I would recommend giving this brand a go as it's just as good as other more expensive brands.

My 3 yr old doesn't suit a lot of brands of nappies but he has certainly taken a liking to the once upon a time Woolworths junior nappies. It holds liquids very well and didn't go so soggy looking after one time wetting the nappy I was quite suprise how good of value they were for how much they cost ! We only just started using them will do another review in a few days

I am so sad that they have decided to discontinue this brand of nappies and only keep the nappy pants. i don't feel that nappy pants are the best value unfortunately. ALso, the one size fits all doesn't seem to fit my bubs. On one they're too big and fall down, on the other they're too small and don't stay up. Can't win. Please bring back the nappies. They were hands down the best on the market.

I loved these nappies. They fit my baby boy so,well. They're my husbands favourite to use, so silly thrills to fold out. I'd love them to have included a wetness indicator but it's fairly obvious when a nappy,is soiled so it's not a worry for us. I've purchased more since as my boy is growing fast and have found the new size to fit just as well!

I have always been keen to try cheaper versions of nappies (compared to say Huggies) in hope of finding one that's almost as good but much cheaper so I get the full value of it. The Woolworths Select Once Upon A Time nappies are well worth the buy. They hold quite a bit, don't leak, are easy to put on and take off, and are comfortable! My daughter has had no problems wearing them.

Went to my local Woolworths today and i thought i would try the Woolworths select once upon a time nappies, in the toddler size. I have found the nappies to be really absorbent, no leakage even when your toddler in climbing and rolling and jumping. The tabs stick well and stay in place. Overall i have to say i am very impressed with these nappies and i will definitely buy them again.

Great Value For Money Does The Job ;D

by
4.5 out of 5

The Quality was quite good, but I do find they are a little thinner than other brands, however they do have really good absorbency, so no leakages at night. I found that these didn't leave marks or red lines and they fit the leg quite well and hugged his bottom nicely. They also have Cute designs on them as well. I would reccommend these as they are great value for money and certainly do the job. I willbe buying these again.

I love these nappies, the first thing that I noticed was that the pants are so easy to tear off compared to the brand that I was using. They are light weight and look really comfy. They also have not leaked at all so far. My only disappointment is the price. I would have expected them to be more reasonably priced. I would only buy them again if they were on special. I think the little tag on the back of the nappy usefull

4.45 out of 5

I use these nappies for my older twins during the day and the odd occasional night time when they feel they want a nappy on. They are quite cheap and value if you are on a tight budget for the younger babies, but need regularly changing whereas if you leave the nappy on too long it doesn't perform very good, ie; wee & poo come out, which is what you are avoiding, but with regular changes that can be avoided.

Held the poo explosion that my son did twice rather well with the double leg barrier, nice absorbency even for long nights(if within the weight range not at the max of the weight range). Soft. Miss the wet indicator strip.

Cheap nappy that works

by
4.4 out of 5

The Woolworths nappy is a cheaper trustworthy product. It comes in a great range of sizes to fit all little ones. I found the product works well with out any leakage. Which you can often get with a cheaper nappy. It was soft on babies skin and absorbent and left babies skin feeling dry and non irritated. Great for mums watching their budget as we all know we use a lot of nappiesas baby grows. A happy dry comfortable baby = a happy mummy. Once upon a time is a great cheap choice.

When I first opened the nappies I was a little hesitant to use them as they looked and felt very thin. I didn't think they would cope overnight to keep my little girl dry, but I was wrong! They kept my little one dry overnight. So that was a huge tick! I also like the fit of the nappies. They seem to be bigger than other brands. Looking forward to trying the pull-ups next!

Now switching brands to Select

by
4.4 out of 5

We had been using brand names for our son for 12 months and was given two packs from a friend. I have just finished the second pack and absolutely love them. I am now switching brands and buying the Select Once upon a time nappies instead, not just because of the quality but the price. I found that these nappies contained pee, poo and the poo I thought would have exploded. We haven't had any problem with rashes either. I am recommending to friends to use.

Since the last review I have been reviewing my baby girl in these nappies and I'm proud to say she has not leaked once, the nappies can hold quite alot especially overnight. They are a snug fit. I have been putting these nappies on my daughter overnight and can't believe not a leak! These are good quality for the price. I will be buying these again. My picture is of the overnight nappy able to hold the urine. -reviewer

First impressions- so thin!

by
4.4 out of 5

I've just received my trial nappies and unfortunately I'd just changed my daughter and put her down for a nap. I was very excited as I assumed these would be coming after Christmas. My first impressions are that the nappies are SO thin. I couldn't believe there were 30 in the tiny crawler pack! But there was and they appear very, very thin. It will be interesting to see how the absorbency stacks up, but they look good. Comparing to most other brands (and I use a lot in family day care as all the children I care for bring different brands of nappies) these don't seem to have the extensive coverings of quilting and/or elastics woven through the legs, gussets, back, sides and tabs. But for the price they seem great. Very simple, unisex design. I like that there are a full 30 in that tiny pack. We are heading camping in a few days and it will be handy to fit such a small pack in with all the other gear. Will check back soon with a review once they've had a road test on my daughter.

nice nappies to have for your young one, great absorption and hold alot of liquid, keeps the explosions at bay too if gotten to quickly. lovely patterns on them making the easy to decipher which size and type you need for your little one. Recommended to friends who were using the more expensive nappies and they love then now and use them more often too. Well priced and come in a larger pack for those who dont like having to go to the shops often to get more and more stuff.

by

I tried these out recently on my 1 year old son and was pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting such a cheaper known brand to be much good in terms of quality. However, these nappies were great! They absorbed heaps and didn't leak, even when really full with boths number ones and twos!! They fitten my boy snuggly without feeling right in any areas around the waist or legs. Admittedly, they're not as great quality or perform as well as my current brand. Having said that though, this brand is much cheaper and I would happily purchase these and use again because for the price they get the job done well enough! Great job Select!! :)

I have used pretty much every nappy brand there is from huggies to Coles brand. My son has ended up being allergic to most of them. It was great being able to find a nappy that he could wear and not break out in rashes. I found that with the Woolworths once upon a time. We have also had no overnight leakages and they fit him very well compared to the lady brand I was using. I have already brought a box since trialing this product.

I usually use comfy bots brand nappies but I think I will now change brands. My child is only in nappies for sleeps and sometimes leaks through but this hasn't happened yet with these. I didn't think they'd hold much as they seem thin and light but they are really absorbent and work really well. They have a good feel and fit, I like that they aren't too bulky and so does my son I think! I also love that they are not fragranced and are quite 'plain'. The only issue I've had so far is figuring out the back from the front in the dark (changing nappy at night time) - I've tried to put them on backwards a couple of times - I think back and front could be made more obvious. :)

great value

by

It is cheap and affordable but would not use it over night as it would require more changes at night. It is good fir day time use or as a back up nappy. I love the foamy thing behind the nappy that sits in thr back as it absorbs sweat too and is more comfortable and feels nice for the baby. The nappy itself is not as absorbent but it is soft. The nappy itself tilt or flops to one side which causes some leakage at times. Overall its great value is good. Nice for the pockets.

So far I am really liking the Woolworths nappies, I've used them overnight for my toddler and they've definitely lasted the whole night and aren't too damp in the morning. I also prefer the fit compared to my usual nappy Comfy Bots as my little girl has chubby thighs and she sometimes gets marks near the tabs when done up and Im not having that trouble with the Once Upon A Time nappies. So over all it's a good product. , kiera ran around the park all morning and it did not become loose fitting another good thing. ,. The legs do not leak . So yes everything stayed in the nappies .. Great day nappy

by
4.05 out of 5

After using these nappies now for a couple of days, I have noticed that come morning, the nappy has leaked. My bub sleeps through the night and therefore doesn't get changed from 7.30pm to 7.00am. It is made especially worse if bub has done a poo as the mess is a lot larger to clean up. If bub was still getting up through the night and being changed I don't believe that it would be a problem. The other option I thought to try would be to have a large nappy on during the night in a hope that it would absorb more. I think I would stick with my current nappy for the night time as I haven't had any problems with leaking at all. Otherwise, this is a really great day time nappy and would certainly consider buying it for day time. We haven't had anything go wrong (leaking etc) during the day and they appear to be comfortable even given the large crutch in these nappies. Bub still gets around easily so it mustn't be a bother, just looks big. Bub even likes the patterns on the nappies and I find bub doesn't try to undo these ones like our usual brand of nappies.

So we have finished trialling the Once Upon a Time Nappies. I was pleasantly suprised that we had no leakages, especially overnight, though Miss O was often left with moisture sitting on her skin at some nappy changes. The nappies are nice and soft and didn't leave marks on her skin at all. They are on par price-wise with the nappies we are currently using (Mamia) but means I don't have to make a separate trip for nappies if we are doing our shopping at Woolworths.

I am back! My baby son was born 3rd January 2016, 6 days late, didn't want to come, was too cosy inside... Anyways we have started using Once Upon A Time nappies again! Yes Again! After the positive outcome we've had with our twins, we've decided to give it a go with our Son. This time round we have had a few leakages at night, guessing can't use for more than 8-10hours and maybe being a boy its different than girls? Not sure? Day nappy is fine, wee's are fine, poo's seem to leak, well ours do but maybe I had a weird batch or something. I still like them so giving them a go.

Firstly, THANKYOU for choosing me & I was super impressed with the amount of nappies etc that I received with this product review!!! The first nappy used my (then 2yr old) daughter she got a rash 'assumed' from them. After the rash cleared we proceeded with the nappies and there were no more rashes. Apart from not being as absorbent as our current brand we found them to be good value. I found them to not look as bulky & obvious under clothing. :) downside---- even with being unisex they are very boyish colour-wise. Maybe another colour like purple, yellow, orange, red etc (instead of the green) would be more unisex... we have commenced toilet training and have purchased and continued use with the 'once upon a time' nappies.

Value for money quality you can trust

by
3.95 out of 5

These are great nappies that are true value for money. They're absorbent and soft with a comfortable fit that doesn't look bulky under baby suits or leave unsightly marks on chubby bubby legs. The are similar in quality to Aldi's nappies from a few years ago but still need a little extra durability in their side tabs, and an increase in their absorbent capacity, for overnight use in babies of rolling age to fully win me over.

Great for during the day

by

These nappies impressed me for a "home brand" product. They kept my little boy quite dry and no leaks happened. The only thing I didn't like was that they felt a little damp when the nappy got full. For an everyday around the house nappy I would buy them again. Not sure if I would trust them for night time though as I felt I had to change him more often with these as they didn't hold much.

I'm very happy after trying the Woolworths Select Once Upon A Time nappies on my son. Used during the day and overnight, we haven't had any leaks or accidents as of yet. My current brand of nappies do not have a stretch tab, these do, and I really like it. The fit is great on him, other brands are either too tight or way too big. I also like the design/print and will more than likely purchase in the future.

I saw no difference in these to my current brand I am using on my 12 month old. No leakage issues, nor any smell issues. I was quite surprised to be honest. Plus my children usually suffer from irritations, however we had none in this instance either. I will be seeking out this brand in the future!

On multiple occasions I have purchased these nappies and never had a problem with them. My son isn't a big wetter so I've never had a problem with leaks, usually I buy a cheaper brand as can get twice as much for my money with same quality. This is the only reason why I don't use them as much.

As they are a cheaper nappy to the big brands, I find this to be pretty good- mostly for daytime. So far no nappy rash or red marks from the side of the nappy! I'm happy with the value. I am struggling with finding a good night time nappy for my 20 month old.

Secure leg fit & Cheap

3.9 out of 5

Woolies had these on sale for only $8 a packet so thought I would give them a go, Impressed with how snug they are around the leg with the stretchy elastic, they are good for the day time use with regular/often changes however do not hold up for an overnight nappy. Price is excellent and tabs are strong and hold in place. Pretty print and colours.

I usually use Mammia nappies and find them hard to beat for price and quality. I have tried other supermarket brands and have found that although they are cheap, they are terrible quality. However these nappies seem comfortable for my little miss and she can wear them overnight without any leaks. Very happy with them so far!

Great nappy that fitted perfectly. Such a cute design. Just as good as my current brand of nappies which is huggies. They lasted all night and didn't leak at all. It's great that woolworths are also donating money from this nappy to heart kids. Excellent value for money.

Great value for money

by
3.9 out of 5

The nappies are absorbent and so far we have had no leaks. Initially I wasn't convinced of the quality as the nappies feel too thin but surprisingly they contained what would have usually been a poop explosion, so based on that I would purchase these again. The designs are cute and very adjustable, hubby accidentally put the nappies for our 7 month old on our toddler and they fit both quite nicely. Haven't had any rashes or red marks so big thumbs up from me!

Good price. Good quality

by
3.9 out of 5

Good quality nappy that my child is comfortable with. It looks good too. I like the padding at the back of the nappy that helps absorb her sweat too. The price is great compared to other nappies with the big names. Only improvement i could suggest is for it to be thicker and for it to be more firm where it sits as it sometimes becomes Lopsided when she moves around a lot. But otherwise we are happy with it and would definitely surely share it and encourage others to try it too.

Great value for money!

by
3.85 out of 5

The Woolies Once Upon a Time nappies are brilliant value for money, they cost around $0.10 LESS per nappy than the major brands and when you go through as many nappies as we do in our family, that is a huge saving at the end of the year! I do feel like they have good protection throughout the day though overnight they seem to leak - my daughter is a heavy wetter and our previous brand didn't leak overnight, but apart from that these are brilliant cost effective nappies for daytime!

Unisex Nappies Awesome!

by
3.85 out of 5

We have the walker nappies for my twin girls and I am enjoying the Unisex nappies, so if I had a boy it wouldn't matter what nappies I use because they can fit both boy and girl. I am finding the stretchy wings come in handy especially when one of the twins is a couple of kilo's heavier than the other and therefore stretch a little bit further.

by
3.85 out of 5

I was very happy with the sample packet I received. I found them comparable to other like priced products in the market. They held in all the mess that was required (except for one explosion that NO nappy would've contained). They lasted through the night with no leakages. They are sturdy and the pull tabs / grip is great. I would recommend these to any new mum.

Overall I found the product to be good. I quite like the stretchy tabs and the design. I was worried as they felt thin and I did find myself changing my little one more often just to avoid any leaking. I think they are great for anyone on a tight budget as they do what they are designed to do. I did find my son was a little red and irritated around the band area but that cleared up pretty quickly.

by

This nappy has no wetness indicators and minimal decoration but works quite well. I did notice a slight pee smell from very full nappies a few times but we had no leakages from the sides but what I think was a little dampness seeping from the front when it was very full. Quite happy to use it for daytime use.

I think that the Woolies Select nappies are great value for money, they were generally fine to use, although I found them not as absorbent as my current brand and I certainly could not use them overnight because they leaked. I also found that after using for a while my little bubbas butt got bad nappy rash. As soon as I returned to our regular brand it disappeared.I think they are a good alternative for when money is tight, but I wouldn’t use them religiously :-)

I received my Once Upon a time nappies and was super surprised with the excellent quality, they fit my child well and seemed to have ok absorbency. They were not as good as my current brand for overnight nappies, I did find they leaked a bit more than my normal nappies. My only one bigger concern was the nappy rash that seemed to appear after using these nappies for a few days :-( As soon as I went back to my normal brand the nappy rash disappeared, and within a few days of using the Select Nappies it appeared again.

I was excited to receive a packet of toddler size nappies to trial on my 22 month old daughter. They nappies appear quite thin, however fit well and aren't bulky beneath her clothes. They performed well, lasting easily overnight and no leaks! The stretchy tabs are great for getting the right fit. Overall I'm very impressed at the performance of the Woolworths Select nappies on my incredibly active toddler, and have since added these to my regular grocery shop, and the price certainly doesn't break the budget!

Good value nappies

by
3.75 out of 5

I tried the toddler nappies for my 2 year old. They were fantastically priced, any nappies this cheap are worth a try, in my opinion! They felt nice and seemed to fit my slim little toddler well. My only complain is that a few tags broke off, making it difficult to use ( I ended up attaching with tape). My daughter is toilet training so we didn't have any heavy nappies, so it is hard to comment on how well they work for smaller bubs who wee a lot. But for our purpose, they were success. I will be buying them again.

Good value

by
3.75 out of 5

In my initial review, in which we could see they had noticeably changed since we used them when our son was first born we noted they seemed a lot better than before. After using the whole packet, they are a LOT better than they used to be, more comfy for my son, great elastic around the legs and more absorbent. We have now used these nappies exclusively since receiving them and liked what we see. We prefer the tabs on these nappies as they are wider and easier to secure and seem more likely to stay put with a wriggly boy. I only really have one issue and that is whilst doing this trial my son had a couple of days with the dreaded diarrhea. These nappies whilst good in every other situation (including overnight) seem to allow the diarrhea to leak out and stain his clothes, it doesn't generally leak out the legs either, more so it leaks through the front of the nappy, this was not a fun time. Never had this issue with the leading brand of nappies.

Cheaper alternative

I received a walker packs and with some nappy samples. They have cute design, thinner compare to others and absorbent but easily full and when full a bit lumpy. There's no leak but sometimes the waist band hard to pull off. I may not change the brand I'm using now but this is a good cheaper alternative.

I liked these nappies. I usually use huggies and they are so expensive so I was really curious to try them to see if we could save a few bucks. They were pretty good I must say. The band is wide as well as the nappy. Genourous sizing. The only thing I didn't like was the napoies aren't as absorbent as the previous used napoies and they seem quite thin. Overall I thought they were pretty good.

First impressions

by
3.75 out of 5

On first inspection of the Select Once Upon A Time nappies, they appear to be made quite well. My bub is on the top end of the scale for size (nearly 11kgs) and they still fit well without being tight like some brands are. The strip for the tabs is great and makes for easy removal and is easy to distinguish front from back (which is good for Dad :)). They do however seem a little "bulky" in the crutch area for my boy. Will see how we go over the next few days with them but first impressions are positive.

I tried these Nappies and they are quite good but as I currently use another supermarket brand and think that it is much better value for money, i get double the amount of nappies for the price i paid for these. but in saying this i still think these are good nappies but i need value rather than quality when the difference is so minor. Thank you and don't be too stubborn to give up the top brands for store name brands, i was told when i tried these that they are made by huggies or babylove anyway so its just a name you pay for.

These nappies were great, except the absorbency factor doesn't match up to huggies. No offence woolworths, you tried. I LOVE LOVE the nappy pants sample i received though, they were great, i would definitely buy them again. My daughter got a rash from these nappies, but most cheaper brands do the same thing to her, they were not bad nappies though. I found they fitted her really well and didn't smell or anything like that. So for people whose children don't have sensitive skin they would be a winner.

I've just had a chance to open the pack that we received on Xmas eve. Quite surprised to recieve the infant nappies to review and some nappy pants, the nappy pants will become handy for my toddler. So the infant nappies feel really soft and i like the simple yet cute patterns. It feels very thin compared to all the other nappies i have used. Not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing. My infant is napping at the moment so we have not put one on. Thin nappies could be good for the hotter days, provided they are absorbent enough. Sizing wise, seems like the average size for an infant size nappy. Will post my next review after we have tried them for a few weeks.

I had not used these nappies before as in the past I have stuck to the more expensive brands and I must say that I am surprised by how well they performed. These Woolworths nappies are really good. I must admit I was very skeptical as I have tried all brands and have been let down by all except for Huggies. I would have no hesitation in using these nappies again - they are cost effective and definitely do the job!

Great when you are on a tight budget

by
3.65 out of 5

I loved how generous in size these nappies were and after using the whole packet I can confirm they definitely keep the number twos in. No issues with leaks at all, my daughter did have some red marks around her waist on one day but I believe that may have been how hubby put her nappy on. The nappies didn't leave any of those awful red marks around bubs thighs like we have experienced with another brand and I liked the cute designs. The tab tape on the nappy was able to restick after checking it although when you would initially put the nappy on it is a bit stubborn to peel. The nappies felt a bit thin and cheap as I am used to cushy padded feeling ones but did the job and well too! Glad I trialed these as I was not convinced first of all but will not hesitate to buy again if my usual nappies are out of stock.

Super soft Nappies

by
3.65 out of 5

I received these in the post to trial yesterday and was impressed with the super softness of the nappy. they are also very trim. I did notice the lack of back elastic, probably not an issue for my 18 month old but for younger babies there might be solids leakage without back elastic. I was very excited to see there were also samples of nappy pants in my pack but unfortunately for me they were toddler (14-18kg) and junior (16-25kg) as my son is only 9kg at 18 months he will probably not get a chance to fit into these until he is toilet trained. looking forward to trying these!

i have tried just about every single brand of nappies out there. These are not my preferred type of nappy but i would purchase if my usual wasn't available. They were good for during the day use and did everything they were suppose to. They fit well however overnight there were a few situations of leakage but other than that they were ok. On the other hand i loved the pullups. My little one did well with these considering we just started the potty training stage so i would absolutely purchase more of these. I've been using these nappies for a few days now and am quite impressed. They are really good for the price. Not as bulky as the huggies and stretchier too. My boy is almost outgrown infant size but the stretchy band means i can use these until they run out rather than waste them. They hold up well during the day but overnight my boy sleeps for around 8-11 hours so we do occasionally see some leaks. Overall I'm quite happy with them and would buy them again to use as a daytime nappy.

My first impression is that they are thin, but I definitely liked the stretcy tabs and the curved leg - which moulds nicely around my chunky little man's thighs. It fits well, although I don't think the 13-18kg nappies would fit an 18kg child. My child is around 13.5kg and average height for age (22 months) and it fits him well. So far no leaks, legs are snug. Easy to put on. I do like these nappies and they seem to be fairly good quality.

After using those samples I did return to Woolworths to buy some more as I found the nappies to be a good, effective and cheap nappy. better than they used to be.

by
3.55 out of 5

i tried this brand years ago and did not like them at all, so i applied for the review in hope that they had changed a little for the better. I am impressed they have definitely improved. I have used them for 3 days now, i have noticed that they are not as absorbent as my current brand of nappies and that the stretchy part around the groin area could be a little tighter, or stretchier, so that when my baby plays a lot it doesn't come lose around that area. But in saying that, they are the only criticisms i have so far, i am pleasantly surprised with the feel of them they are quite soft and pliable they used to be stiff, so great improvement there, i love love love the grip tabs, they have a great feel perfectly elasticated. I have not tried them at night yet because so far i have only found one brand of nappy that is good enough to last all through the night every night, but i will give it one go and see how well they perform. because these nappies are cheaper than most, even though i don't think they are the best nappy on the market, their price range makes them great value for money. I will now be purchasing these nappies along side my normal brand and i will use my normal brand for things like sleep time and long drives, but i will use these nappies for daily use around the home because they are much much cheaper.

We have had a lot of play dates with my 3 girls and my twins, the ones using the nappies are getting their wear out of them, playing and dancing and chasing each other around. We were sent crawler nappies which is a size down from my sons current size however he fitted into them. They are a generous fit and very stretchy around the waist. They are absorbent but smell strongly of urine after a short time, which is a major turn off for me. In saying that we have had no leakages or explosions. I like that they are thin but they need to be changed more often then our current ones which makes me question if they really are better value for money.

walker size

Have been trying these but am disappointed that they hang once wet so I haven't used them over night yet as I'm unsure they would hold without leaking. I had one tab area start to get a hole in it due to the heavyness of it hanging down. They also seem to be a smaller size than my other nappies which is disappointing as I would have got the wrong ones had I picked them in-store myself.

The nappies arrived today and after opening them and comparing them to other nappies I have used I find them to be quite thin. They were easy to put on and adjust if necessary and I will report back if I have any leakage later. Overall they seemed of reasonable quality and a very good price compared with other brands.

I was worried when I first opened up the packet of nappies and thought surely that would not hold much but I have not had any issues using these nappies. My daughter sleeps all night and often wakes up with a full nappy. This brand is quite absorbent and I have not had any leakage issues at all. I rarely shop at Woolworths which is why I would be unlikely to buy them again but would have no problem recommending to others.

Okay so Far!

Nappies are going well, couple of leakages for night time but otherwise okay. When you finish the night time nappies they are a bit saggy because they are full but that is the same occasionally with the nappies that I currently use. We are liking the pattern quite a bit, definitely a change from our normal ones and difference is always good. Okay so far.

by
3.45 out of 5

Woolworths Select nappies are good for daytime use or at home. They fit my 14month old baby girl well but seem to hang off her after she has wet a lot. They also don't keep moisture away from baby all the time. They need to be a bit more absorbent.

Surprising quality

by
3.45 out of 5

I have to admit, I wasn't sure how these were going to go on my ten month old, but was pleasantly surprised this morning when it surprised the long overnight sleep, plus big number twos and everything was contained! On first feel, they are a mich lighter nappy that what we usually use but that could be good if going away and needing to fit more in a bag. Feel a bit more plastic than others but will see how bubs goes today wearing them to see if there's any comfort/rubbing issues.

Reasonable quality at a reasonable price

by

Have only been using these for a couple of days so far. They seem soft and comfortable for bub. Absorption for Number 1 is ok - although they seem soggier, quicker than my usual brand. Absorption for Number 2 is good - no leaks so far. Tabs are nice and stretchy, which allows for a good fit around the waist. Will keep using over the next few days and then post another review.

I found the packet of these nappies hard to open compared to other brands we have used and hence we just ripped the bag. The nappies seemed quite think in comparison to our usual huggies brand but found them to be quite absorbent. I however found they did not absorb my little girls poo as well and it was left on her skin. I also found that they weren't quite as good at night time. We are yet to find that they have leaked. We used the infant size nappies.

Girls quite like them!

by
3.4 out of 5

My girls are choosing the Woolies over our other nappies because of the pattern. We are using them both day and night but at night time they are quite full and wet on the outside, so not sure if soaking through. During the day is fine only in them roughly a couple of hours as my girls are getting toilet trained. In a nappy for couple of hours then toilet and then nappy back on or if damp, then a new nappy. I still prefer my other brand of nappies but I would recommend Select Once Upon A Time nappies and if I was away and without reach of Aldi store's definitely would purchase Woolworths brand.

I found these nappies to be very good for #1 but not so good for #2 and had 3 separate poopsplosions whilst using them. I do like the nappies but I do think they could be priced a bit better, my daughter seems to be comfortable in them. I do think that the weight range is not very accurate as we are using the walker which says 13-18kgs but they only just seem to fit her maybe I should get the next size up next time

I have tried these nappys and think they are great, they don't leak they hardly leave any smell when I have changed my son when his only done wee's and had a full nappy. I have tried may different brands of nappys and find that some are better than the huggys. These are great and affordable I've had to buy theses a few times when being low on money and would think a lot of other mums out there would agree that they are affordable for people who can't afford the expensive nappys from time to time.

I recently tried these nappies out (I received some freebies from a baby expo), and I was quite surprised and how decent they were. I use Aldi and Huggies nappies normally, but found the Woolworths nappies to be of decent quality and quite a reasonable product. They didn't leak, fit well on my 18 month old, and were a reasonable price. I thought the absorbency could be improved though, and that is why I don't rate them too high.

Good cheap nappies, great design!

by
3.35 out of 5

I loved the design of these and was skeptical when I first opened the packet as they were quite thin. However, we didnt have any leaking overnight which was great! The thing I loved best about them was the fantastic design and unisex colours. It definitely was a nice surprise to use these with bright colours rather than the boring other nappies we have used. Not sure if they have completely sold me but I would definitely use again.

Generally ok

by
3.35 out of 5

I was generally happy with these nappies, I am a avid huggies user, but was keen to try a different brand. I was happy with the nappies for everyday normal use, but found they were not absorbent enough at night times. We were also unlucky enough to be stuck down with gastro during our nappy trial and I can tell you they did not handle the gastro very well, almost everyone leaked, which wasn't fun for me. I would buy these again, but only for daytime use.

So far so good, first impression was cheap and plain, however they are quite soft, the thinness is actually quite good. We have had no leaks so far. They would be better if they had a wetness indicator like my current brand, they appear to absorb well although it's off putting to see the patch of wee as defined as it is as opposed to just absorbed as ,y current brand. Will review again after a number 2.

The nappies are not as good as huggies or babylove... but still hold good for about 2-3 hours. I tried them when my baby was just born. Probably not a good time to start these. Thats the time when babies mess up like anything. BUt I do want to try them again sometime soon. People who dont want to spend more on nappies, can go in for these...... Worth a try...

Great nappy and no leaks at all during the week we used them, however at 3am when you have a squirming baby who this that a nappy change is a new form of torture having to unfold the sticky tab before you can unstick them is an unappreciated design flaw. if they changed this I would probably switch brands but for now not so much.

Some are good and some are not so good

by
3.25 out of 5

I've been using the Walker unisex nappies on my Miss 3 and I find them quite good. They feel slightly tighter to fit around her compared to other nappy brands we use but there has been no leakage. I have found that they can leave red marks at her sides which hurt her due to there not seeming to be as much give compared to other nappy brands, There hasn't been any leaks over night which is very good :) I've also used the Walker nappy pants and am not as happy with those. I find they tend to sag really quickly and my Miss 3 gets annoyed with them falling down. This is after not too long of wearing them (I'm not keeping them on her for hours and hours) so compared to normal nappies I don't see them as absorbent or as comfortable. I also found they don't pull up very easily...they seemed rather tight which is odd as my daughter is a skinny minnie and right in the middle of the weight range for them. Overall I think they are still a good nappy. No leakages or nappy rash is the main thing for me and with the normal nappies this is what we get. I think the nappy pants will be better for when we start toilet training soon :)

I really like the nappy pants there easy to use and didn't pull apart at the sides easily like others do. My little man liked the design on the front. I also tried there nappies infant size they were a great fit and didn't leak. Great value for money the only fault I would pick is after a long night sleep they held the wee in one spot a bit more then my normal nappies I guessing as there unsex but they still didn't leak great nappies and pull up

Great for 2nd choice

by
3.2 out of 5

We currently use 2 different brand nappies for our children who are toilet training at the moment and they mostly use them at night time. It was good to trial these Woolworths Select Once Upon A Time Nappies to compare the difference for what is best for our children. I found that they were all right but I thought they felt a little thin, sagged a little bit around the bottom area and didn't really give my child the support they need for training. I probably would use them again but as a 2nd choice if my preferred brand wasn't available.

by

I liked these nappies as they didn't leak overnight like similarly priced brands and they were comfy for my son but the sizing needs to be reviewed. Thanks for the chance to leave a review for the Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time nappies. We found they were great to use for during the daytime, but our 15 month old son would leak through the nappy if we used them on him overnight as he sleeps for 12 hours or more.

A great budget nappy

by
3.2 out of 5

I have used a combo of huggies and babylove for years on my kids. but babylove are still expensive and huggies decided to change their nappies so not only are they thinner they leak! so I had to look around for another alternative. I tried once upon a time nappies on my 18 month old son (he is so small he is still in crawler nappies!) and while they feel like decent quality nappies they just don't fit him right. it is like the waist is just not big enough so also fits him awkwardly around the thighs. that said it performed well, very absorbent, no leaks, no smells when full of wee (obviously still smelt when he did a #2) and the designs were gender neutral and not over the top like some other nappies. I would have loved to try the nappy pants I was sent but as they were from junior and walker sizes (14kg +) even my now toilet trained 3 year old is too small to fit into them. while I would go back to these nappies again if I was desperate, I much prefer the coles comfy bots nappies as my cheap go to nappy now.

Love the pattern!

by
3.15 out of 5

Firstly I love the pattern, turtles, ducks, butterflies, snails, fish's, and lady beetles look so cute. My girls love the fact that they were different to the normal nappies we used and therefore wanted to try them out. Secondly the nappies are a bit thinner than the normal ones I use but in saying that they look like their not wearing nappies at all. Thirdly like the stretchy tabs on the nappies, great for chubbier babies like mine (twins roughly 2 kilo's difference) "Skinny Minnie", Chubby Bubby". They can stretch to your liking. Fourthly I personally think that if you don't have an Aldi Store than Woolworth nappies a good value for money but I do believe that Aldi nappies are cheaper and a lot more comfier than these ones.

I don't mind these nappies. I want to like them more, but they didn't seem to fit as well as the other brands I buy. They were fine during the day, but I don't think I trust them to last overnight. They also had a bit of a plastic feel to them too which was a bit off-putting. However, value-wise they are good and I think it just comes down to preference and what you're used to. At the end of the day, they just go in the bin!!

Nothing flash, but they do the job

by
3.1 out of 5

I'm a Huggies snob. I have tried soooo many brands but with such a skinny-waisted baby, getting a nappy that fits well is a real challenge. While this brand fits, I find his clothes don't fit as well. The nappy sits high on his waist and overhangs his pants, something other brands don't do. As for wear, this nappy does the trick, but after an overnight sleep, they are quite heavy, stinky and slide down his waist because of the weight. No spillages, but still a concern. I find these nappies almost identical to the new Coles nappies, which I have tried. Only difference is the colour scheme and animals on the nappy - these are a bit more vibrant.

by
3.1 out of 5

While I really love the fit of these nappies, after a few days of use I'm not convinced that the absorption and hold of urine is as good as my usual brand and I'm not sure whether it is co-incidence or whether it is related to the absorption of the nappies but my little man has had the worst nappy rash that he has ever had these past few days while trialling these nappies. I actually had to go out to buy nappy rash cream - which I haven't needed at all with my child. I am changing him a little more regularly now. I am disappointed in this given that I otherwise really like the fit and feel.

Woolworths nappy are good for emergency nappies

by
3.05 out of 5

These nappies worked pretty good overnight I was impressed that they held the liquid in and didn't leak. However when both types of liquid (ones and number 2's) were combined the nappy didn't maintain it's strength. The elastic in the leg gave way which meant that there was leakage. As shown in my video 99% of the nappies from my packet were quite difficult to open one of the tabs, which meant that you needed to use to hands to open 1 tab and you wouldn't be able to hold your toddler down as well lol. I would use these again if I was short on money to be able to afford my usual nappies. Thankyou for giving me the chance to review this product. my son was very proud to show off his colourful nappies.

I opened the packet when I received them Christmas eve, it was like an early Christmas present for my son it was great. The packet was Very difficult to open I couldn't find the join and assumed it was under the handle which I thought was very odd as it was hard to get to. I pulled out the first nappy (which was also difficult to get out as they are packed so tightly) and my first impression was that they looked cheap but very colourful. I put them on my son and unfortunately he was dehydrated that day so they didn't get much of a run with how wet he normally gets. So we will just have to see how they hold up under pressure lol

In my first review I was rather happy with these but after going back to our usual nappies (which are the cheap brand) I have to say I prefer our normal better. I'm just not happy with the size of these ones (even though my daughter is right in the middle kg wise). They don't seem to have as much stretch around the waist tabs and therefore leave marks on her that were causing her discomfort. Other than that they are great nappies with no leakage or anything.

Better than they used to be

by
3 out of 5

I tried the Woolies nappies ages ago and found them to be awful, but they have improved a lot with the current design. In general it seems there is less difference now between the various brands of nappies on the supermarket shelves. These are a reasonably comfortable fit, and have decent absorption for daytime. However I plan to stick to my current choice of the mamia nappies from Aldi, as I think they are slightly better quality and value.

We have received a pack of Toddler nappies to try on my 18 month old 12.5kg son. The colours are cute and I love the stretchy tabs. They seem to hold up during the day but we had night time wetness leakage, so have stopped using them at night. They absorb well, but go a bit clumpy if left more than 3 hours. We have had a few explosions in them, mostly holding up well, however one went right up the back and out of the nappy. The current ones we use go higher up the back to avoid this and have a stretchier waistband. These seem a little small (even though toddler sizing is 10-15kg and my son is 12.5kg) and they don't seem to have any sort of waistband. The leg elastic is ok, but sometimes ended up as a bit of a wedgy for the poor little man. Overall, they are ok, but I still prefer what I was using before the trial, and they are still cheaper than these. If I needed a cheap alternative if the usual ones were out of stock, I would probably consider buying to get us through.

by

On first impressions the nappy looks cheap compared to my usual brand of nappies. They aren't fitted in the same way my usual nappy does. They offer a generous fit because of this. It seems to do the trick though, I haven't had any leaks so if it is considerably cheaper than my usual nappies I might purchase in the future.

Affordable good quality nappies.

by
2.95 out of 5

It's always hard deciding wether to try a new nappy. You need to trust that they are going to be gentle on your little ones skin as well as do a good job keeping them dry. The Woolworths Select Once Upon A Time nappies were quite good quality and certainly in a good price range. During summer my little one is often in a nappy and singlet at home and I found the outer fabric got damaged and pilled when my daughter wore it outside. In comparison to another brand we use it was quite damaged in a shortish period of time. Otherwise I don't really have any complaint. It was gentle (no reaction), cheap and did the job of keeping my little one dry quite well.

We received our nappies today, and so far so good. No leaks and they seem gentle on bubbies bum. I did miss having a wetness indicator, but I guess that's more a luxury than a necessity. Used huggies brand only for my 1st child. When i had my 2nd child tried Mama Mia as alot cheaper. Never really thought of trying Select nappy. But after trying it, I find the quality pretty similar to Mama Mia. Absorption is quite ok for during the day. Will try more for nites and post again.

Good backup

2.8 out of 5

You get what you pay for which is good if you are short of money or can't get your regular brand or are really on a tight budget but compared to my usual brand they aren't as good, with the usual brand I can be sure that it hasn't leaked whilst my child is asleep but with this brand a 3 hour sleep and it had leaked. I would recommend it as a daytime nappy when if you change your child almost hourly but if planning to travel a distance or you have a heap to do not the best option

Conveint but not always the best

by
2.75 out of 5

We bought these nappies when we saw that they had come out - seeing as they weren't a traditional homebrand packet I thought that I would give them a go as we are use to using huggies and so hoped that we could save some $$$. Overall they aren't the same quality which is what you would expect they certainly didn't hold up well overnight but for a day time nappy they were fine especially when we started toilet training we found the tabs pull out sometimes and so you need you have wasted another nappy. These are great as an emergency nappy especially if your out and out and don't want to carry cloth with you.

I really liked the stretchy grip tabs. Unfortunately though, they left my bub with a bit of a rash. The colours on the nappies are nice and the patterns are suited to both boys and girls. We tried a pair of the nappy pants on my daughter and found that they were pretty good and preferred these to the nappies.

they are very good quality nappies but not as good overnight for my son as the ones we use now are. they are good quality and great for during the day. the fit nicley and are nice and stretchy around the waist. they come in cute designs aswell. I will purchase these nappies again but only for day time use not overnight.

I tried these nappies on my baby boy. I have decided that I will stick to using huggies on him as they are a much better fit and I don't have to worry about the overnight nappy being too full and going through his bed as he sleeps through the night. Better to be safe then sorry.

Thanks so much for allowing me to review this product. This brand of nappies is one to keep in mind. I did have one incident with leakage but otherwise all was ok. I like how the nappies are quite long and lengthy, that was a real plus and the tabs stick on brilliantly.

Good Cheap Product

by
2.65 out of 5

I have just received these nappies and I have to say that they are not to bad. Packaging is nice and compact and comes very neatly presented. The sizing of the nappies are great and generous, They have a nice pattern on the outside (which is unisex) and they have a nice soft inside layer. I the ast I have had trouble with nappy rash and I think that these will definitely prevent that in my baby. Absorption is ok not as good as some brands. The only problem that I found with these nappies is the smell, after my baby has done a pee the smell lingers. Normally I cant smell when my baby has done a wee but you can definitely smell it with these ones. It smells like I haven't changed him in hours. Other than that great product that U would use again :-)

Get what you pay for...

Sadly this product is a case of you get what you pay for. They are a budget nappy and do not come close to Huggies! Our budget can be tight, so that's when I buy the cheaper brands, but always have the Huggies for night time, as it saves a leak and the wet bed and cold kid. They are also good if you are toilet training, as toddlers love pulling nappies on and off!!! All in all, unfortunately my review is not a positive one....

Good value for money nappy

by
2.6 out of 5

I only use disposable nappies of a night time, I use cloth during the day. If my 17mo only has one bottle during the night they are fine. If she has 2, by morning they are barely hanging on. That said, they are a very good value for money nappy & would be fine during the day, or if you like changing nappies at night.

After further trial I noticed my child was becoming itchy when I would change his nappy, so I went back to our usual nappies and he wasn't itchy, but when putting him back into the woolworths nappies noticed that he was itching again, obviously an irritation from the nappy.

by
2.6 out of 5

Just opened up the pack and they look alright. Maybe a little thin so not sure how absorbent they will be. The design is nice, but maybe suited better for a swim nappy. They remind me of another brand of nappy which I would not use full time (maybe only as a back up nappy), so will be interesting to see how they compare.

Very absorbent

by
2.5 out of 5

I started using Woolworth's Once Upon A Time newborn nappies with my baby when I ran out of the Newborn Huggies I had. I found them to be just as absorbant and a better fit. The price is more reasonable too, and once you move into Infant size, the nappies can be purchased in bulk. My baby has never had an poo leaks and the nappies have a cute print and grip tabs. Odour is contained well enough, and the outer cover is smooth and soft. Moisture is pulled away from the skin and my son doesn't get any rashes or redness. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants an alternative to Huggies that is just as good, if not better.

I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the Woolworths once upon a time nappies. My son wears crawler nappies in huggies with no problems. I put these on him and he has wet out of them and they just don't hold enough over night. I have had to wash his sheets several times since using them.

These are great for the price but I will be sticking to huggies as I hate leaks!!

value for money nappies

by
2.5 out of 5

i received the Woolworths Select Once Upon A Time nappies from the baby expo. I find that it is very good value for money, comparing how much you are paying and the amount of nappies you are getting, Tried the nappies when my baby is 5 month old and find the nappies pretty average, i suppose for the price you are paying. The nappies does its job, i didn't have a leak with it, absorbency is ok but i find that it does bulge quite a bit after a while. I did not continue using it as the tabs were rubbing on my baby groins.

Great nappies for out and about, handy to have in the car or a few tucked away in the nappy bag. I wouldn't chance using them over night, I found they didn't hold the 'liquid' in as well as other cheaper brands. My 1.5 yr old developed a rash on his tummy and thighs from product, but my infant daughter was quite okay with them. I would buy them again, but only out of necessity.

Too cheap to be true

by
2.5 out of 5

I was initially excited when the package arrived earlier this week with a full pack of Woolworths Select Once Upon a Time nappies and a couple of sample packs to share with friends. However upon opening the pack I noticed that the nappies were thinner feeling than the ones I currently use. I physically compared the Woolworths nappy to my current brand and to my surprise the 13-18kg Woolworths nappy appeared to be slightly smaller than the 10-15kg nappy brand I currently use. I have used them for a couple of days now on my son and they have stayed on and thankfully not leaked. He has not developed any rashes which is also a relief. In terms of cost it is one of the cheaper brands but the brand that I currently use is cheaper in terms of cost per nappy and I feel far superior.

Need More Absorbency and Less Leakage

by
2.5 out of 5

These nappies definitely need to have more absorbency and much less leakage. However; these nappies can be used during the day time; however they are not a good choice for the night time as they are not as absorbent and tend to leak. Absorbency, no leakage and comfort are incredibly important especially at night.

Just received my sample pack in the mail. Opened them immediately and have had a good look and feel. They don't feel cheap and nasty like plastic. They are quite soft to the touch. The size of the nappies appears to be similar as my current brand. They appear to be a little more generous around the waist though. The absorption area is larger than my current brand. I look forward to trying them over the next few days. It will be a test with a baby with sensitive skin.

My child is only using nappies for sleeping as she's that bit older and obviously otherwise toilet trained. She doesn't sleep at home during the day anymore. So when I put a nappy on her it has to lags the night so that we can all get some sleep. Unfortunately the first night she slept through, and soaked through. I had to fully change the bed. She also developed red marks at the hips from the different material. Then the next few nights I had to set the alarm clock to change. Eventually I went back to my usual brand and threw out the few remaining nappies. I much prefer that we all sleep through for the money.

I find that these nappies are cheap so value for money but they leak easily. I would never use them overnight again but for during the day they are fine. They are about half the price of my usual brand but for the peace of mind and not having to change sheets everyday I choose Huggies over this brand. Thank you moths of mums and Woolworths for offering this review. I think there could be some work done on these nappies but in the price range they are the bests

The sizing needs to be looked into as they are way too small for the weight listed on the packaging. They were way too tight for my son even though he was way under the listed weight so I had to take them back and get a refund and go back to my original brand. They do have great absorption though, can't fault them on that, just small sizes. They need to adjust their packaging.

I used these on my 14 month old. I found them to be a large fit and only really suitable for use during the day. I use a more expensive brand for sleeps as I found that these nappies leaked. They are cheap especially when on sale but I have chosen to stick to my preferred brand.

I am always keen to find ways to save many so I tried these nappies on Miss A who was 8 months. They were too cheap not to try. Unfortunately they just weren't a great fit for us. We experience leaks up the back and they left lots of red marks around Miss A's chubby thighs. Not for us.

I found these nappies were fine during the day, but overnight they couldn't compare to my usual Huggies. Unfortunately I found they leaked during the night and my daughter did get a little nappy rash from this too. For day care, they're great as they're inexpensive and the children have their nappy changed more often during the day, so they don't have a chance to leak and so I will likely buy them for this purpose, but I will still use Huggies for overnight use.

After using these nappies for about a week, I would not continue to use them full-time. We have had a few leakages especially overnight and I find once Bub has done a wee in them they smell a lot. I much prefer our usual brand as they are much more absorbent and keep Bub's bottom drier. These nappies would be fine as a back up nappy during the day.

I really do not like the nappy pants. The nappies are ok, but the nappy pants are not easy to put on, have no srretch, I found the sides split apart, and I had the same issues with absorbency that I had with the nappies. I was disappointed because I really liked the gut of the nappies, but this didn't translate to the nappy pants. I found the nappy pavers droopy. Sorry to say, but I won't be buying these nappy pants.

The nappy a where fine I had to use double to what I norm use. My daughter actually was wet if I used it at nights so I couldn't use them. Not sure about the nappy pants thou my daughter got the worst ever nappy rash she has never ever gets it she cried when I changed her & when I sat her in my lap poor thing so I had to give her a bath air her out & put her back in her normal nappy it cleared up the next day. So I gave them to friends & family to try. But with the nappy pants love how easy it is to get on as she's too busy to lay & wait love how there tape on the back so it's easy to everything up & throw out & it's in a great place cause I was worried she would scratch it & remove it off. Not sure what the diffence was why the tape didn't give her nappy rash but the nappy pants did. I found with both nappies I had to use double of the nappies than with my favourite brand plus I couldn't use it at night so for me it works out more expensive. Thank u for choosing us to trial & I won't be using again :)

Over all the nappies were fairly good & they didn't upset my son's sensitive skin. My only issues were that we had 6 out of 22 leak, they didn't stretch enough when my son sat down to play & they left fluff stuck to his bits. I think being gender neutral is fine until kids are 1yr, then it becomes necessary to have more tailored absorption. My son is a tummy sleeper & the nappies that leaked during sleep/naps only filled at the front before they leaked, underneath & the back were still completely dry.

Good price, but poor results

by
2.1 out of 5

These nappies are a good price, but unfortunately the quality matches the cost. I tried them on my daughter for both daytime and overnight use, but was disappointed in the absorbancy of the nappy. During the day when my daughter is changed more often, they were ok, but they were unable to cope overnight without leaking. The fit was fine, but there was not enough padding in the nappy to absorb enough liquid for overnight use. They would be fine for a daycare environment where the children are routinely changed every couple of hours, so for parents looking for a cheap nappy to send with their kids to daycare, these would do the trick, but I think we'll stick to our regular, more expensive brand for now!

Not as great as I hoped. I've been using these nappies for a couple of days now. They are very cheap nappies & I needed to change Bub more so for me they worked out more expensive. I found they weren't very absorbent & in a couple of hours they where hanging down bubs knees. They did keep her no2s in. At night time she did feel damp when she woke up, but she didn't leaked throu her first night. I don't think I would buy them for a backup nappy as the nappies I do buy is only a few more $. She did start getting nappy rash but I'm not sure if it's cause she teething at the moment, so I had to mix these nappies with her regular nappies to help her nappy rash. I would of love to try the nappy pants as its a struggle to get her nappy on & she always doesn't want her nappy back on & it's a struggle for me & her. She did fit the nappy really well, they are very thin. Thank u so much for choosing me as I have been wondering what these nappies would be like but to scared to try them.

i bought the once upon a time nappies because they were cheaper and i usually buy huggies nappies. they still do the job but they do not hold as much absorbency as the huggies nappies. therefore I would go through a lot more nappies than regular huggies and baby love . They also did not fit well on her bottom, one side would always ride up her bum. which looked very uncomfortable for her, and often gave her a bad rash. I was very disappointed because i was hoping they would be a good quality product for a good price .

I have used the once upon a time nappies for my almost 2 year old the last few nights. Unfortunately for the purposes of the review, my son decided to daytime toilet train between me being approved for the review, and the nappies being sent out! In terms of nighttime use, they have been fine for my son... He hasn't leaked at all & felt quite dry come the morning. I am usually a user of Aldi brand nappies, and would probably continue to purchase Aldi over Woolworths brand. Once upon a time nappies, while not terrible, definitely don't feel as good a quality as the Aldi nappies & the price of the Aldi nappies just can't be beat. For only a dollar or 2 more per pack, you get double the number of nappies as the 24pk for $10.

I bought 9 packets of these, and in half of the packets they 4 or so nappies that had either completely missing tabs on the left side or tabs that weren't attached. Cheap babylove when we are a huggues house

by
1.8 out of 5

I found these nappies to be slightly less of a quality then babylove nappies. We are a huggies house as my son was premmie and then became a bum shuffler. The outer shell didnt provide enough protection from the constant squish of the bum to ground motion and we would end up with a lot of leaks. In saying that though, I would consider trying these again when he is older, especially around the time of toilet training, as they will do the job without the price tag!

Having been an avid Huggies user for a long time, I was in a tight pinch money wise a couple of weeks ago for my tiny 5 year old who still has accidents at night, so instead of reaching for the more expensive dry nights, I thought I would try the nappies on her to get us through. I was really disappointed. The first night was okay, my daughter stayed dry. The second night was not okay, the tabs tore off when I was putting it on her. The third and fourth nights, we had leakage! The fifth night the nappy tore apart! I've since stopped using them and sadly wont be using them again.

Gluten free pastry Ingredients 1 cup water 2 tspn salt 90g unsalted butter chopped and kept cold 150g gluten free flour Plus 1/2 cup extra for kneeding 2g xanthan gum 2 free range eggs Directions 1 Preheat oven to 200C 2 In a heavy based saucepan combine the water, salt and butter. 3 Bring to a simmer and add the flour and Xanthan gum. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon. Lower temperature and continue to cook until pastry comes away from the sides and is well combined. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. 4 Whisk the eggs to combine and add half the egg mixture slowly, incorporating fully before adding the final half. If the mixture is a dough texture when you add in the first half, you may not need to rest of the eggs mixture. 5 Turn out onto a surface on which you have placed a further ½ cup gluten free flour and knead until shiny. Try to incorporate as little flour as possible so the pastry does not go crumbly. 6 Chill pastry then using a rolling pin roll the pastry between two pieces of baking paper greased on both sides. Roll to half a centimetre thick and place in pie tins. 7 Properties: browns beautifully, has a nice crispness and holds in moisture. Has a nice potato undertone which is very pleasant. Has a great shelf life, up to 5 days in fridge without going mouldy. 8 Note: You could add 2 teaspoons of xylitol or coconut sugar and make a sweet pastry for fruit pies.

i have tried these before and i wasn't too impressed but after seeing reviews about it again, i thought that i would try them again. I think that they are still the same make but the designs are different this time around. i think that they would be an alright back up pack to keep in the car but i definately would only buy them if they were on special. I have seen them as cheap as $7 per pack which is a really good price. They still have the leak factor which i find to be very disappointing. I was hoping that woolies would've listened to people's feedback and tried to fix these common issues that everyone seems to have but they haven't. My child has a normal shaped butt but these nappies seem to fit well so i just don't know why they leak. Oh well i did try to give this brand the benefit of the doubt and try again.

I was not impressed at all, had never had this happen before, had to get his mattress proffessionally cleaned all because of a cheap nappy. Will not use these again. The tabs also rip of nappy easily. I use these now for outside play and that's it, when packet is empty I won't buy again

They are a great price, but unfortunately I had nothing but problems. My son would wet right through them in just a daytime nap or even while I was holding him which meant that I got peed on. And the nappy pants, I bought the size that's walker/ crawler 10-15 kg and they were that small that they ripped going into my 11.4 kg son. I much prefer their "little ones" brand.

Good & cheap, but Coles for the win.

Comparing nappies was a big thing for me, trying to find the perfect fit to mold to my daughters chubby body was needed to avoid many many poo explosions. I found that although at a cheap price they just felt cheap.. Whereas Coles are cheap still, but the quality was much higher. The absorption was good, but could of been better.

I found that these nappies irritate my girls bottom. Not sure why. I have friends who like them they are just not for us

Never buying again

I used these nappies for a while and will never again. They would leak gel crystals on my baby's bottom if I didn't change her quick enough and she would get horrible blistery rashes from them. 1 in every 8 - 10 of them would break when I stretched the tab too which was annoying and wasted a lot of nappies. They are cheap and nasty and not for us.

Not impressed

I was so disappointed in the quality of the once upon a time nappies and nappy pants. They were so thin that I found one wee from my son was enough to soak through the material in the nappy and wet himself and his clothes. Nappy pants...up to 15kg, didn't even fit my son. So small the ripped going on

I tried these nappies on my son. We were disappointed with the quality of them. They didn't hold much in. The last thing I want to be doing each nappy change is stripping him down and washing clothes. I will never use them again and will definitely not recommend them to anyone.

i got my woolworths nappies yesterday, i tried one on my 10 week old through the day but sad to say that she felt wet when i took it off, they dont seem very absorbent, there is no way that it would do the job through the night. what a shame, was worth a try though.

I didn't get picked for this review & Thiught is go try them out, I do wollies once upon a time wipes & I do rather them over Huggies but.... These nappies are well & truly not designed for babies. If you need to blow your nose it will hold that but not a wee & the number twos we like in the nappy didn't happen... I use washable nappies & bought these for on the go & I was changing him like I would washable. Terrible. Even if your on a budget please don't get these, get baby love they don't sag & can hold more. Sorry but this really is a crap brand..
