Review: Nando's PERi-PERi Bag & Bake

Such a quick and easy meal to prepare. My partner and two daughters absolutely loved the Lemon & Herb, I never heard any complaints and their plates were practically licked clean. I served it up with a potato bake and it was quite delicious. We’re planning on buying it again!

I tried Lemon and Herb and Medium and I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised that this was not only yummy, but tasted exactly like Nando's! I love that it comes with the bag (which is good quality) so there is very little mess, as you just throw it away afterwards and most of all the flavour is amazing and tastes like Nando's from the restaurant. I sprinkled it over a whole chicken and cooked it in the oven, then charred the outside on the BBQ right at the end and it was fantastic! I will definitely be recommending this to people and will be repurchasing myself!

Nando’s PERi-PERi Bag & Bake was really easy to use.We really enjoyed the Lemon and herb with chicken.The flavour was not over powering and it kepted moist and I love the idea of no mess.I used the medium spice with vegetables and it was not over hot at all,very enjoyable.Highly recommend Nando’s PERi-PERi Bag & Bake if your short on time and want a home cooked meal without fuss and mess.

I found this product easy to use, very tasty and my friend and I absolutely loved the way it changed plain chicken into a fabulous, tasty meal.I did not find it too hot.Definately will buy product again. Even the children loved it..they came back and asked for more.., yumm mom they said.

I found these bags very easy to use. I never used anything like this before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. I like that you don’t have to use it for chicken or fish, but it also goes really well with vegetables. So easy to use and no mess to clean up afterwards. Can use in the oven and also an airfryer. I would recommend them and would definitely use them again

Both flavours were delicious - the lemon herb one was lovely and mild, perfect for the whole family. The medium had a great amount of spice without being over the top. The bag made the chicken come out beautifully tender both times. Not having to clean the tray was an added bonus.

Nando's Peri Peri Bag and Bake is a new family favourite in our house and we will be buying it again very soon. We cooked both flavours; Mild and Lemon & Herb with chopped up chicken breast oh boy, the chicken was flavoursome and moist, literally mouthwatering. The Lemon & Herb was my favourite because it was a massive taste hit, so citrus-filled and delicious. The Mild was really bold and delicious but a bit too spicy for the little ones. I am blown away by how easy and convenient it was to make sure a fantastic 10/10 dinner. These will undoubtedly be a new staple in our house, making dinnertime fast and easy for all parents!

I absolutely love the new Nando’s Bag & Bake range. It’s perfect for mid week dinners, just pick your protein and the flavours are already in the bag ready for cooking. It’s so easy and tasty. My family absolutely love this. I’ve already stocked up the pantry with these. Delicious!!

I was most impressed with this product & will most certainly be purchasing it again. A quick, easy & super tasty way to prepare a family meal. I was surprised at how well it cooked the chicken without drying it out.

Tonight we enjoyed the medium peri peri bag and bake. We served it on a wrap with jackfruit and salad with some cheese for our two year old. I love how all we need to do is put it in a bag and bake in the oven for half an hour. It comes out juicy with the right amount of flavour. I think I’ll be at the spice aisle more often now I’ve had a taste. I love that my whole family enjoys it. We live in a town without Nando’s so super happy I can now get my Nando’s fix. Yummy

Last night as a family we enjoyed the Nando’s Peri Peri bag and bake lemon and herb. We served it with corn which we cooked on the BBQ and a salad. It was amazing the chicken was super tender with great flavour. My husband and I loved it and so did our two year old. I’ll be buying it again when I go to Woolworths.

YUMMO... they were perfect. the flavouring was spot on that everyone wanted more which isn’t something that happens in our house when it comes to baked chicken. This is now a regular must get grocery list item.

I got to try out the Nandos bag and bake and YUM!!! Nandos is a treat meal with hubby and I (which doesn't happen so much anymore after having the kids) so when this product test popped up I was keen to try. The packaging was eye catching and fun just like the Nandos brand. The instructions were easy to follow and there was a generous amount of seasoning. The chicken coated really well and when it came out of the oven it smelt just like I was sitting in the Nandos restaurant. I cooked up both flavours as my kids wouldn't be able to have the medium but I had some of each and it was so tasty. If your a Nandos fan or someone that hasn't tried it yet (if that's possible) you should definitely give these a try. The only thing missing was my favourite Nandos chips. I plan on getting this again to cook up for my work week with wraps or salad.

I was interested in trying the Nandos PERI-PERI Bag & Bake flavours in Medium and Lemon & Herb Extra Mild because I already use Nandos PERI-PERI sauces and also dine at Nandos. Each pack contains a parchment cooking bag and a 20g bag of PERI PERI spice. Preparation of the meal is so quick and simple – just place chicken pieces into a bag, shake in the spices, fold the open edge of the bag, give a bit of a shake to distribute the spices evenly and pop into the oven. Cooking time is about 30 minutes – just enough time to prepare an accompaniment to the chicken. I served our chicken with a spicy rice which was perfect for both flavours. When I opened the bag I wasn’t expecting the chicken to be as juicy and succulent and perfectly cooked as it was, especially as some of the juices had leaked out of the bag. The Medium has a nice spicy kick to it but I don’t think it is as hot as the Medium served in Nandos restaurants. Although the Lemon & Herb is Extra Mild it has a flavour all of its own. It is delightfully different to our normally spiced up dishes and I really enjoyed the fragrance and flavour of this dish. To be honest, I don’t have a favourite flavour because both are equally delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending the Nandos PERI-PERI Bag & Bake for ease of use in preparing a really flavoursome meal.

I tried the medium heat bag n bake about a month ago, I did it a little different though. Coated chicken breast fillets and did it in my airfryer, I followed all of the other instructions apart from the cooking method, and it came out beautiful, juicy and tender. Flavour was amazing, will definitely purchase it again. (Note: you can put the bag in the airfryer)

As someone who isn’t very good with spicy food, I honestly thought the Nando’s Medium Bag & Bake was delicious! It made my lips feel tingly as I ate it but wasn’t overwhelming so I could eat it and enjoy it. My husband loves spicy food and he was happy with the level of spice in this meal. The Nando’s Bag & Bake is a fantastic meal option. There are so many options on what to cook in it, there is a spice level to suit everyone and it is so convenient. We have added this to our meal rotation and really enjoy it.

I have brought the lemon flavour a few times now. Get flavour the whole family loves. Highly recommend

I was a bit cynical about how this product would work, placing chicken in the paper bag to cook it, but was pleasantly surprised that it worked so well. Very tasty and delicious for not too much effort. We love it and would buy again.

Absolutely loved this one! the Peri Peri is my favourite! Super easy, chuck the chicken in the bag, shake, lay it flat on a tray and bake! i have a pretty horrible oven , but this came up so well. I will be adding this to my family menu for sure!

After trying both flavours the lemon and the herb and the medium , we would definitely buy both flavours again . This was so simple to make and with minimal mess I can’t recommend it enough . The chicken was soft juicy and both my children ate the lemon flavour . While the adults enjoyed the medium heat with homemade loaded fries . Looking forward to trying these bags again with vegetables and other meats .

I loved these nandos bag and bake products. They are so easy to use and the chicken came out perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious. The whole family enjoyed the lemon and herb one, with the fussy 3 year old asking for more! My husband preferred the medium spice one as he thought it had more flavour. A big hit in this household, will definitely purchase again

It was a hit !! I tried the Nando’s Peri Peri Bag and bake in lemon and herb and medium the kids loved the lemon and herb and husband and myself enjoyed the medium. Such a great idea to be able to place chicken in the bag and shake on the slice mix. So convenient. Chicken came out moist and tasty. Loved them.

The Nando’s Bag & Bake is a new favourite in our house. We like to alternate between different spice levels. Definitely my favourite way to have it is as chicken burgers served with homemade chips. The Lemon & Herb extra mild flavour is delicious. It is not spicy at all so is the perfect option for kids to enjoy too. I love the flavour and it goes so well with homemade rolls to make chicken burgers. We need to try out some different ways to serve this chicken but it is so good in burgers and I can’t stop having it that way. Haha. It is quick and easy, versatile, delicious and a new favourite in our home.

Having a feed a fussy family that like nandos I thought why not so I gave it a try and my family loved it! We had it with chicken and we definitely will be buying this again in the future

It has become a family favourite as we all love Nando's and helps us satisfy Nando's cravings during lockdown.

I received a packet of the Medium Nando’s PERi-PERi to try. It’s great that you can use the spice mix with any meat or vegetables. I chose to use the Medium for some roast vegetables. It’s easy to throw in the cut up vegetables into the bag with the spice mix and shake it a little. You leave it all in the bag to bake. Clean up was so easy too - no mess at all from the vegetables. I found the Medium to be too spicy for the kids but was delicious for my husband and I. Such a quick way to add flavour to your roast vegetables!

I have purchased this product after seeing it on the mouths of mums website. My husband likes meals like this so I thought I would give it a try. It’s very easy to make and it tastes delicious! Even the kids loved that and I have to say they are picky eaters. I’ll definitely buy it again in the future.

This is the best invention ever. My chicken is so tender and juicy when cooked in this unique bag and the spice seasoning is perfect not too salty or overly spicy. It's just enough to season the chicken well allowing tasty flavour once cooked. I will definitely recommend to my family and friends. So easy to use. Great idea Nandos such a innovative idea to allow people to create delicious Nandos flavoured chicken in the comfort of their homes.

I love this quick and easy meal bags. All you simply have to do is add chicken or any other meat, add the seasoning and put it in the oven to cook. It is great that it cooks in its own juices and doesn’t make a mess - no washing up is a winner! You can have Nandos at home whenever you want. Highly recommend. The mild flavour wasn’t too spicy as my children 4 and 2 enjoyed it!

Delicious seasoning, altering how it is cooked but with almost the same simplicity works well too. Instead of cooking it in the bag, use the bag to shake the seasoning and flour mix over diced chicken pieces then pop them onto the deepfryer or air fryer and wallah, you have delicious seasoned popcorn chicken. I used the peri peri medium bag and bake for this and I would recommend for sure

Great flavours easy to use just shake and bake and dinner is ready see used chicken pieces and added corn cobs and fresh greens. Such a yummy meal.

Unfortunately, the bag was split when I put the seasoning in. Anyhoo, it was tasty and the kids loved it. It was easy to use and easy to clean up after it was baked. I think the season would adapt well to veggies or fish. Both flavours were pleasing. The kids preferred the milder flavour.

I received a packet of the Nando’s Lemon & Herb PERi-PERi Bag & Bake to try. It’s great that you can use the spice mix with any meat or vegetables. I chose to use the Lemon & Herb with some cut up chicken breast. It’s easy to throw the meat into the bag with the spice mix and shake it a little. You leave it all in the bag to bake. Clean up was so easy too – while some juices did leak out, it wasn’t baked onto the tray - all of that was contained in the bag. The Lemon & Herb flavour is not spicy at all and perfect for kids. The chicken was cooked beautifully - so tender and juicy!

Easy to use! Less the fuss & mess and very much delicious! It does not need anything else, it is that perfect!! We love how it taste and how juicy the chickens are!!! This is so convinient especially for mums like me who is always busy and has no time to dwell on so much preparation and washing... Definitely a must purchase product!

I tried the lemon and herb and the Medium flavour. I preferred the lemon and herb over the medium, however, would go back to both. The kids thought the medium was too spicy, it did have a zing which my husband an I quite liked. He said yes, cook this again! The bag style cooking obviously kept the chicken moist which was great. My only negative was the the bag burst on both cooks and the liquid was all over the pan. I could still use the liquid but this was disappointing. The only other food for thought was first time i used less than 4 chicken breasts which was the suggested and the flavour spread evenly. Second time around I used 4 chicken breasts and it was hard to spread the flavour evenly in the bag. All in all, smart product, great flavours and more importantly easy to use with minimal prep time!! The sachet flavour and bag need to be bigger to cook more at once!!

This is a family favourite!! It taste amazing and the spices are delightful and it's so easy to cook with. I love that there is a range of different flavours to choose from and they all taste amazing !! I will highly recommend this to any spicy eater and Nando lover!! I loved this product! The bags were so easy to use with simple instructions. The Chicken cooked perfectly and was delicious and juicy! Lemon and herb was my households favorite. I also enjoyed the medium but others In my family can't handle any spice. Love that there is very little cleaning required afterwards. The price point is also very affordable. Will definately be recommending to others and it is already on my shopping list for next week!

it was so spicey and delicious we used half the chicken breasts for medium flavour then the other half with the lemon &herd flavour even my kids enjoyed it thanks

As the kids get older, I feel like the day gets shorter. Driving them to their extra-curricular activities after school means less time to prep dinner so the Nando’s Bag & Bake were a definite life-saver this week! ••• I used 3x breasts (approx 500g) and there was literally zero prep! Coat in spices, into the oven for 30 mins and my family of 4 had a delicious, wholesome meal after an exhausting day. I’ll definitely be taking the stress off dinner with this handy little dinner hack!

As the saying goes, Winner winner chicken dinner! I sadly didn't receive a sample of this but when I saw it in the store I had to try. And boy did Nando’s Peri Peri Lemon & Herb not disappoint! All you have to do is put 500g chicken in the bag, add the spice sachet, Shake shake shake and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. The chicken was perfectly cooked and so juciy! Everyone in the family loved it and said it tasted yummy! Its so easy and full of flavour for any night of the week. I recommended this product to others and I will happily purchase again...and again and again!

I tried both the lemon & herb and medium Nando's Peri-Peri bag & bake, they were wonderful. It was a breeze creating dinner with these, so easy I simply put 4 chicken breasts into the bags provided, added the spice mix and folded then gave it a gentle shake to spread the spice coating the chicken and I placed it on an oven tray. In just 30 minutes I had a meal that the family loved, it was delicious, full of flavour and a great accompaniment to a salad or even vegetables. They are products I look forward to purchasing and having in the pantry, I would happily recommend to others, brilliant - reduces cooking time in the kitchen which means more time for family and fun!

The kids gave the Lemon & Herb flavoured Nando’s Bag & Bake the tick of approval! The chicken turned out soft, juicy, tender and delicious! The BEST part is that it required minimal effort from me! It’s perfect for those weeknight meals where dinner feels a little overwhelming. ••• 1. Pop the chicken in the bag provided & rub the spices into the meat. 2. Roll up the end to seal it. 3. Bake it, Eat it!

The Nandos Bag & Bake was super easy to use and the flavour was alot more intense than I had thought it would be - but in a positive way. I cooked chicken breast in the bag using the MILD sachet and it was delicious. The only change i would make next time is maybe finishing them on the BBQ to crisp them up a little. I loved being able to just put it all in the bag and walk away whilst the oven and the bag did all the hard work - so convenient! I also tried the MEDIUM seasoning but over small pieces of chicken which was pan-fried and then used in wraps with haloumi + mayo + avo + BBQ'd corn. This flavour was definitely my favourite and I did like the extra carameliised flavour which was added by pan-frying. An important thing to note is that even the MILD seasoning has a spice to it, I wouldn't be able to give it to my kids. Not a problem with our house as our kids eat before most nights. I would definitely buy this again, even just making sure I had it in the pantry for those nights when making dinner is the last thing I want to do.

These bags were so easy to use it made cooking easy, quick and so much less mess to tidy up after. We liked the Perri Perri flavour but loved lemon and herb best. I like that you can use any meat or you can put vegetables in the bag. Roast potatoes and pumpkin with the best. You can use these in the oven or you can use them in an airfryer. Would buy them again and recommend.

I was excited to try the new Nando’s PERI-PERI Bag & bake Lemon & Herb. It’s very easy to use and helpful with the added information on the back of the box. When I opened the seasoning sachet I could instantly smell the lemon. After the chicken had finished cooking l based the chicken with the juices from the bag. The taste of lemon was very noticeable and quite a nice taste all over and clean up was a breeze.

I was very happy with the simplicity of bag and bake and think the choic s in flavour/heat is so important, the extra mild suited our family just fine as the 2 year old taste buds are so different from the adults and teens but miss 14 was excited to cook the next meal confidently

Loved the recyclable packaging although the spice sachet was made of plastic. So simple to prepare. I checked it after 30 minutes but gave it another 5 minutes. I didn't think to use anything apart from chicken. Two breasts came out a bit tough. The other two were moist and tender. It had a nice flavour although it had a slight "fake" lemon taste. Next time I will try with fish or vegetables. I think I would enjoy that better. The kids loved it. I had mine with salad and they had theirs with wraps and salad.

I sadly missed out on a MoM review for these. I SO wanted to try, I went out to buy. Excellent. So tasty. The chicken is moist and full of flavour. Quick and easy to prepare just pop in the oven while you whip up a quick side salad, maybe a garlic bread. I was super impressed with taste, quality and price. Highly recommended

Sadly I couldn’t try this product because of the barley in it. But when I asked my husband he loved it and would like to have it for dinner again the chicken was moist and held the flavour well.

Not something I would normally purchase or purchase again as I like to make my own spices etc and I don’t like the plastic waste. The flavours were nice and it was easy and convenient to use. I liked that I could choose what meat I used.

Nando spices are perfect at home for you and the family. They gave my family a taste of nandos without the hassle of having to drive over and order then drive back. It was a great meal and the kids loved it. I would highly recommend it for you and your family.

Instructions at the back of the pack made it so easy to use. Simply add chicken in the bag, mix it with seasoning provided and let it bake n the oven for the desired time. Chicken was well cooked and tender and the extra bit of sauce was used to pour on top of it. My family had it with veggies on the side. My son who doesn't tolerate much spice, approved and enjoyed the Medium flavor Peri-Peri. I will definitely be keeping a bag or two in my pantry to have on a night where I don't feel like spending much time in the kitchen cooking. Tummies full and satisfied,

I loved the idea of a bag because normal seasoning sachets can be messy. The mild flavour was delicious! Our favourite. We love Nandos and being able to enjoy something similar was great. Next time we will cook it on the BBQ for the extra bit of flavour.

Peri-peri spice adds amazing flavour, and this is super easy and ready to go, just add your favourite protein and bake. We used fish and it was very flavoursome. It is very handy, and for minimal effort or cooking knowledge you can make a very no fuss delicious meal in a really fast time.

I was very excited when I got the Nando's Peri-Peri bake and bag because we usually eat at Nando's. Since we're on lockdown, it was fun to cook at home. It's very very easy to use, I just put the chicken in, shake, bake, then wait. I can do other stuff and just set an alarm when it's time to be taken out from the oven. To be honest, the finish product is not what I expected to see because it became watery. The flavour is there but it almost got washed out with the juice that came out from the chicken so I had to scoop the juice and pour over the chicken. I would recommend it because it's perfect for busy mums who need some time to do multi-task and the flavor is still good.

Delicious dinner that is quick and easy to make! Nando’s Peri-Peri Bag & Bake helps get dinner ready on the table after a long day at work for the family. Simply add some chicken pieces to the bag of spice and shake shake shake. Bake for 30 minutes in the oven and dinner is ready! We were given 2 flavors to try: Medium for those who love a spicy flavour and Mild Lemon & Herb. Both taste delicious but my personal favourite would be the Medium for a bit of kick! The amount of spice in each bag was quite generous and we were able to recreate Nando’s chicken at home using fresh ingredients. We only tried chicken so far but you can use any meat, fish, or veggies as well. The bag can be placed directly in the oven to bake so there’s minimal washing up to do!

The nandos bag and bake was a hit! The kids had the lemon and herb extra mild and hubby had medium and I had both. Kids loved it. My son loving the fact that he could taste the lemon (he’s 6 and citrus mad) my husband loved the kick from the medium. It was super easy to used and packed with flavour! Just be careful when opening the packaging as I accidentally tore the bag (still cooked amazing chicken though). For something so simple and small the flavour was a wonderful change from other seasonings we’d used.

Thought this might be fiddly and I was WRONG, super easy to handle and make. Thought this might taste a bit average and I was WRONG, this couldn't be much tastier. I was particularly surprised that it tasted pretty much exactly the same as if I'd bought it from the restaurant. Normally it's a major battle to get all four of the family to eat the same thing and we end up repeating meals a lot. Was great to discover something that we can make that satisfies the spice lovers as well as the ones with blander palates.

As a family, we enjoyed this nandos product. My partner absolutely loves nandos and my son enjoyed the lemon and herb flavour. To make it, was super easy, which is helpful for a family with parents who work long hours. I would recommend this bag and bake product to friends and family. My partner will be purchasing these two flavours again for dinner.

Nice to get a Nando’s feel, taste, feeling of going out for dinner esp with covid19 in Victoria. Makes me think I should experiment more oftne

As a family we enjoyed the Nando’s Peri-Peri flavours. It was quick and easy to prepare and no fuss baking. A great meal to serve with veggies or chips and a salad. The medium flavour was too spicy for the kids but great for us adults. The only negative is that some of the seasoning was coming out of the bag as we were coating the chicken. Next time I’d coat the chicken first then put it in the bag.

This product was really good. The meat was juicy and fresh and the whole meal was delicious and refreshing. The dressing was a bit tangy but complimented well with salad. My partner and I both enjoyed it and will definitely be purchasing this one again and we will be trying the different flavours. The kids were not 100% sold but over all would try again.

when i received this product i was so exited to try. however the only downside was it says cook in electric oven only and i have gas. so never mind that. the spice comes separate from the bake bag, so i improvised and tuned my chicken into strips and made chicken strips on the stove top. it was yummy delish and i recommend to anyone whom has an electric oven not a gas one. kids loved it

I loved the idea of this! We are very boring and bland eaters here so this was something that made us step outside our comfort zone and try something new! Very easy to use just pop in the bag, shake and then Bake! The covering of the flavour wasn’t very even so that would be the main reason I held back from full star review! But the clean up was easy too so I liked that

We've tried the Nando’s Bag & Bake, my husband likes it more than I did, it was very easy to use, flavour was good, but of course not as tasty as the real Nando's from the store.

We liked the Lemon & Herb most as both of us could enjoy it (I can't handle spicy food!), however it is not something we will necessarily add to our shopping list. Every now and again, maybe, but I think we like creating our own spice mixes better. We tried the Lemon and Herbs one with Quorn Fillets and veggies, and the Medium one with tofu. Nice flavours, the convenience just didn't make it worth it for us this time.

The mild was a tad spicy still which I was not expecting for my kids. To be honest it didn’t shake the flavour in the bag that well either. Apart from the I loved the chicken and experience of a new meal we hadn’t had in a while.

I loved how easy this was. Add chicken to a bag, shake the seasoning up and then just bake in the oven. No turning. No constant watching. Just trusting the proccess. Could not have been easier. The only downside for me is that the Lemon & Herb (extra mild) had a bit to much of a spicy taste for my son.

My husband, 2 year old and I love the Nando’s bag & bake! The bag kept all the moisture in the chicken to make it so tender, juicy and flavoursome. Even my 2 year old liked the medium flavour! Only suggestion would be is to please make more of a selection of flavours :)

Loved the flavour but for one meal I needed two packets and still needed more seasoning

I love eating nandos anytime, all the time. My kids love it as well so this trial was great for us. I like the concept of this, that the flavours will remain inside and the meat will be flavourful. I made it using chicken breast and served it with a side of pasta. It was good but I as I love the skin on my nandos done crispy and flavoured I Would not be able to use it using skin on chicken. But for a quick and easy nandos it was good and the meat remained quite juicy.

The flavour was the downfall! I loved how easy it was and consistency of the cooked meat! Seeing as the Extra Mild Lemon & Herb had much more of a kick than actually dining in at Nandos, the medium flavour was not a winner in this house. It was unfortunately just a bit too much for us to handle. Having said that i dont really have a high tolerance to anything with heat. Definately would be adventurous again.

The bag and bake were quite nice to add to any flavourless chicken and make the flavour pop even more! The bags and bake was not too difficult to make and use, and it went straight into the oven. The flavour was nice and suited for those who love and doesn’t like too much spicy stuff. Would recommend to others that like that pop of flavour to chicken!

These werent for me. Not all of the seasoning stuck to the chicken so sat in the bag looking burnt, couldnt see how it was doing as it was a paper type back. Chicken didn't dry out though which is a positive.

We usually use the Nandos spice rub/marrinades to coat baked chicken breasts, and find that we get more flavor this way. We used exactly as the instructions told us to, and the chicken had a really unappealing texture and colour. Will stick to using other Nando's products instead.
