As mums of babies and toddlers, nappies are a huge part of our lives.  And we all know that the quality of the nappies we are using can make a huge difference to every day!

Mamia® Supa Fit™ Nappies are ready when you’re not …

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKYrDmfaja8

We’re excited to announce the Mamia® nappies product review and that right now we have mums and their bubs putting them to the test.

Following extensive testing, ALDI has worked with its manufacturer to develop a world class premium quality unisex nappy. To provide parents with ongoing product improvement, and to deliver a nappy that meets world class standards, ALDI has introduced the Mamia® Supa Fit™ nappy. This nappy uses new technologies to provide a better fit and greater comfort, in a thinner nappy.

Some of the great new features of Mamia® nappies include:

Comfy Flex™

Soft and stretchy sides allow babies to move and stretch their bodies. The nappy fits snug and moves with your toddler, helping to keep a cosy fit and to stay leak proof on the go!

No more scratchy waist bands!

The stretch of the Mamia® nappy is now achieved at the sides with Comfy Flex™ stretchy sides. These elastic sides provide greater stretch than the previous waistband, while allowing your toddler the flexibility of greater movement without compromising fit, or irritating your toddler’s skin. And when secured correctly, Comfy Flex™ will ensure the rear waist is snug against your toddler’s back.

Discreet Triple Layer Core

Mamia’s triple layer core is thinner and more comfortable. This technology still has all the anti-leak characteristics, absorbency and ‘wet proof’ characteristics demanded by parents. So, thinner and better! Thinner product means less use of the world’s resources; from the raw materials used to produce a nappy, to those used to pack it!

Breathable

Mamia® Supa Fit™ nappies use state of the art materials that help your baby’s skin breathe by allowing air through the back and front panels without affecting the leakage performance of the nappy.

Find out more about Mamia® Supa Fit™ Nappies or look for them in all ALDI Supermarkets around Australia.

Mums are now reviewing Mamia® Nappies …

In the Mamia® Nappies product review, selected mums are trialling and reviewing …

  • Mamia® Newborn Unisex Nappies (suitable for babies up to 5kg)
  • Mamia® First Time Pants Unisex (suitable for children 12 – 18kg).

We’re sending mums in the review team a full pack of the nappy most suitable for their child to use in place of your current nappies.

Nappy i definitely trust!

by

This is a nappy I definitely trust, have been using them for a while now and to be honest with you I am not going back to my old ones. Really happy with the quality and care that the nappies are made and definitely would give all the stars I can for this nappy. For anyone that hasn’t tried it, give it a go, nothing to lose and you might be surprised! - My Photo didn't come through so doing it again :)

We use the walker ones at the moment and my twins a happy, they never have a problem with rash, redness, red marks, wetness, leakage. Its like a perfect nappy with a perfect price, not dear, quite cheap nappies and quality is awesome! Definitely recommend, already have purchased and will continue to purchase. Mamia is my number 1 nappy!

Cheap without sacrificing quality

Mamia nappies (Aldi) have worked beautifully on my little girl. We have used both these and thud Huggies brand (which is a lot more expensive) and I can not see any difference in the quality or performance of the nappies. If anything we have had less leakages when wearing the Mamia brand. The seals work perfectly, they are breathable and have never hindered my girls movement. These nappies are fantastic and I will keep buying them!

I would definitely recommend Mamia Nappies to anyone and everyone, they are fantastic and awesome and great for my 3 daughters so far. I have purchased Mamia nappies over and over again and will continue to do so. The quality I would rate is 5 stars, my honest opinion is that I think that Mamia is the best nappy, Huggies are great but I prefer Aldi nappies more. Mamia nappies are a great brand and will continue to buy them even if I have another child :)

My favourite Brand! :)

by

These nappies are my favourite brand, they are worth the money and affordable too. I think Aldi are as good as Huggies Brand and if not better. I used Huggies with my eldest daughter and starting using Aldi with her when she was older and have never looked back. My twin daughters I have used Aldi nappies right from birth and have never had any problems, leakages or tears. It is an awesome Nappy! GO ALDI!!!

Great value for money!

by

I use Mamia nappies almost exclusively with my 16 month old daughter and have done since she was a newborn. I will occasionally use a more expensive brand nappy (if they are on special) however I really cannot see much of a difference between the two brands aside from price. I have heard from friends with sons that Mamia nappies aren't as effective as gender specific nappies from other brands. However, speaking from experience - Mamia nappies are fantastic for girls of all ages!

Excellent value and quality

I have found these nappies to be of great quality and very good fit as well as a very good price. Compared to the more expensive brands I find this brand to be of better quality. Compared to the cheaper brands there is no comparison this brand beats them all in my opinion. They are also a very good fit and I never have leakage.

Affordable product and great quality

by

I really cannot fault the Mamia brand Aldi nappies. I have used these on my now 4 year old and 2 year old daughters. The 4 year old is now out of nappies but I also used the pull ups on her during toilet training. Both used the nappies overnight and would often wake up full but never had any leakage issues. I find these to be just as a good as any other brand out there but at a more affordable price. Would certainly recommend to others.

I have always been very happy with Mamia nappies for both their price and quality. They fit well, are absorbent and have cute designs on them. I also love that they are very good for lasting through the night. When I have talked to other mothers about the quality of these nappies they also give them great compliments I highly recommend these nappies.

I have been a loyal Mamia user since my daughter was 6 months old. I am now using them with my second child. I will admit I was skeptical at first that a nappy at such a price would work as well as, if not better than the current big name brand I was using. My best friend had been using them and she assured me I would love them. I gave them a go..no blowouts and the only leaks I get are when it's time to go up a size. For our family , they are great!!

I have used mamia nappies with my 4 children and I think they are great and have always been reliable us they are a great price. None of my children have ever got any rashes from them or leaked through them. I originally tried them because other nappies prices such as huggies etc were expensive and mamia nappies are a great price and when I used them i realised that they were great nappies. I have and would recommend them to anyone as they are a great price, I have used them with 4 kids and none of them have ever had any rashes etc from them, they have never leaked through and I have always found them a reliable nappy.

FANTASTIC

by
5 out of 5

I have switched to Aldi nappies for my twins - they are cheap ($10.49 a packet) and they are great with their sensitive bottoms. I used to be a "huggies only" mum until I ran out and my friend offered me one of her Aldi nappies - I was a bit apprehensive but I really had no alternative, after I used one, I was hooked. I have recommended these to all my friends and we have just about all switched. Of course not all babies are alike and they may not work for your baby, but I beg you to at least try it and see how you go!

Fantastic product and great saving for the budget

by
5 out of 5

When my kids were newborn i found the newborn nappies not fitting enough. But after a few weeks compared to the huggies which i alternated i found them so much better in containing the explosive number 2. I continued to use the Mamia brand until both my kids were toilet trained. I thought they were such great value, more absorbent and fit really well.

Would i recommend Mamia ? , yes, Will i purchase again ? yes ,overall for quality and price , make the trip to Aldi and try Mamia, you will not be disapointed

Affordable quality

I'm toilet training my 3 y.o. and was hesitant to buy training pants for her. With my older child, she went straight to undies without training pants and was good. But with this younger one, she didn't want her undies on and the training pants were wonderful! It is very absorbent. I thought that I had to throw them away after each wee, but it actually lasted 2-3 bladders! It's cheaper than the name brands and just as good in terms of quality.

Love these nappies.

by

As a newborn these nappies did not fit her. As soon as she went to the next size I thought I should try them as other parents recommended them to me. After trying them I was really impressed. They were a good fit, they did not leak (even through the night) and she did not get a rash from them. I also like the price aswell.

Other than sometimes it is a challenge to go to our local Aldi store (but more are popping up all the time) I always only use the Mamia Nappies. I have used all the leading brands and they are up with them. I love when Aldi do the bigger boxes, I like to buy in bulk.

I found them to be as good in quality as the more expensive brands, and a fantastic price. Love the design in the back and legs to prevent leakage. They are designed to fit different shapes babies too so they dont sit awkwardly.

Mamia brand Nappies are the WORD!

by
5 out of 5

We have been using these now for a few years. They have been improving them in this time, and we can honestly say that we love them. With 4 boys under 7, we had 4 in nappies/pullups for a couple of years. They are such great value, that i am normally shocked when i see other brands advertised as being on special, and still cost more than these. When you choose Mamia, you are not going budget. You are simply paying a much better price for a great quality item. 2 of my boys have eczema, and they have had no problems, while some other better known brands seem to cause nappy rash on them. I cannot recommend these highly enough!

My 2 year old is a wriggle bum at the best of times and trying to get a nappy on him is no exeption, but with the mamia nappy pants he is able to stand up put them on quickly and be off for his next adventure, that makes me one happy mumma as I don't have a wriggling screaming toddler when his nappy needs changing.

My son asks for these nappies now! We've been trying to potty train him, so these are great to get him used to pulling up pants. They kept him dry, rash free and obviously comfortable for him (as he asks for them over other brand or his cloth nappies!). Have gone on to buy them. Thank you!

Impressive, Affordable Nappies THAT WORK

by
5 out of 5

After a week of using Mamia Nappies I am impressed, I have tried probably every brand out there and for a new born there were only one other brand I would use but I am happy to use Mamia again. Not only value for money but never leaked even over night, my son had a runny bowel motion and the nappy held it all in no leaking out at all. So one happy mummy and bub... Thanks for letting me be part of this review enjoyed it.

I am very impressed by the Nappy Pants. It's been easy to put them on my 19mnth old and even when he has wet and stooled in them they haven't leaked. The last two nights have been great in the morning no wet clothes just a full nappy and of a day they are great easy to take off and put back on even if I have put on cream of powder they are still easy to use.

Best nappies on the market

by
5 out of 5

I started out with several different brands of nappies after my baby shower and have also had free samples from bounty bags, etc and I can say that I have tried pretty much all of them and still like Mamia best. The design with the tabs at the front seems to minimise leakage and they are of the best quality every time. I find that where leaks are concerned Mamia seems to hold its ground the best!

by

I wasn't picked for this review but I currently use Aldi Mamia Nappies. I think they are awesome and in fact as good as Huggies are. I love the padding and comfort my toddler gets as well as the price that you pay for, is like almost half the price of other nappies and the quality is amazing. We use them day and night and have had no problems and I have been recommending them to everyone that needs nappies. I used Huggies with my first born up until about 9 months of age, then switched to Aldi Mamia Nappies from then on, and when my twin daughters were born I used Aldi for them and continue it now and they are 2.5 years and have never looked back! (Photo of the box's that we made twin racing cars out of)

Great Nappies

by
5 out of 5

These are great nappies, I use these in the day time and have not had a problem with these...just need to make sure it gets changed every 1.5-2 hrs otherwise they may leak especially the amount of milk and water my little one drinks. They are also almost half the price of the huggies so they are great value for money! I only use huggies at night time as they hold much more overnight.

Great nappies for half the price

by
4.94 out of 5

We have tried Huggies and Mamia and the quality is just as good or both. However with the Mamia being solo much cheaper it is hard to justify using Huggies. The only time we seem to have a leakage is when we go up a size, however we tried Huggies and Mamia and had the same problem. I would recommend Mamia nappies to anyone, our daughter hasn't really had any nappy rash and we have mainly used Mamia and she is now 6 months.

Switched from Huggies to Mamia

by
4.94 out of 5

After hearing so many great things about the Aldi brand nappies I decided to give them a go on my toddler. they have great designs and feel nice and comfortable. We had no leaks or red marks and the sizing was quite good although I could probably go one size smaller as my son is a small build. These nappies are fantastic for the price and I have converted over from Huggies to these.

Well, it has been more than a week using the Mamia First Pants and my son put them to the test last night by having an overnight accident. The Mamia First Pants did not leak at all, and if it wasn't for the fact that they were heavier and bulkier than normal, I would not have know they were wet from touch. Very impressed.

First Pants- so far so great!

by
4.94 out of 5

Received First Pants for my little girl! Love the well labelled packaging with simple size chart on the side. The perforated opening was a little hard to see due to colour, however loved the side access as it made it simple to remove nappies individually and keep them neat at the nappy station. The nappies were thin in comparison with other brands I've used and elastic was not as tight, which made them more like underwear and less like nappies, which my daughter (2.5yo) commented on.

by

I have tried almost every brand of nappy and I have settled on Mamia's because they are the best fit and we have had no 'accidents' with them. When I bought more expensive brand nappies I had issues with leakage etc. These are the nappies I rely on. If the shop is closed and I can't get them and I have to use another brand, they are no where near as good, so I make sure I stock up so I never get caught out!

I have used Mamia Nappies on my kids since birth. I think they are just as good if not better than the huggies brand. They are super absorbent and my kids have never had a nappy rash whilst we used them. My son is currently using the pull up Night Nappies and they are fantastic. He never wets through and they are really easy for him to pull up and down to get to the toilet. They are great value

Have been using ALDI's nappies both here and in the UK. Switched to using them full time since we moved back to Aus. The only thing is if the little one has too much to drink before bedtime the nappy may soak through. But apart from that have had no problems with leakage and are well worth the money compared to other more expensive brands.

Toilet training get's easier with First Pants

by
4.88 out of 5

It has been several days now, and my pre-schooler is happy that he can get up in the night and go to the toilet himself now that he is using the first pants. He is very proud of himself, he doesn't rush in to our bed in the morning asking us to help take off the nappy to access the toilet. He loves the platypus design too "he's funny".

My daughter new 'nigh nigh knickers'

by
4.88 out of 5

After being sent the 'First Pants', I'm amazed at how well my daughter has progressed. They are much easier to pull down and thinner than pull ups we have tried, which has led to our daughter using the toilet at least once a night (previously never at night as she was unable to pull them down easily). According to our daughter, there are no more nappies, just her new 'nigh-nigh knickers'.

I am just so impressed with the Mamia nappies. The 12-18kg pants really are great value for money. Although you can't reseal them like a Huggies pants... I believe the savings outweigh the occasional nappy that you've "torn off" because you've thought it was soiled when it still has plenty of absorbency left. As I have mentioned in a previous post, I do think it would be better if these pretty unisex nappies didn't have any pink in the picture. I don't personally mind, but I can see that not all parents want to see any pink at all on their little man.

I was very doubtful at first that something so cheap could be as good as I was hearing, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Mania nappies are lightweight, the elastic isn't too tight so it doesn't leave big marks, and they're nice and snug still. I noticed some cheaper brands got a 'smell' once wet but Mamia don't. They don't leak with number twos and my boys sleep with them through the night with no leakages at all. Best all round nappies !

Being cheaper than the average nappies I had my doubts but they were amazing. I had absolutely no problems with them at all. It brought down my weekly shopping by heaps. Just because it's not a "proper" brand doesn't mean it's not good or the best. Unfortunately my daughter out grew the nappy sizes and now I've had to buy a brand which fits her which is costing me a lot more money for less nappies. I recommend these nappies to everyone.

The mania nappies are great quality for price! I found them to be very absorbent and a great fit. No sagging at the behind like other cheap brands. My son also experienced gastro while using these and the leg gussets did the job I experienced no leakage at all. Overall I am very pleased with these nappies and the cheap price for quality well there is no arguing with that!

Use these nappies during the day. Never a problem, tabs stay secure with rough and tumble of a toddler and cant remember a leak, good sizes. Did prefer the white plain nappies they used to have in newborn size instead of images on them.

The Mamia nappies are great

by
4.75 out of 5

We started using the Mamia nappies a few months ago, they were recommended by other mum's in my mum's group. I have found them to be very comparable to the other well known brands. They perform really well in all areas & keep him dry all night, even those odd nights when he wakes & has a bottle. They are also very well priced which is a huge plus for me.

We love the Mamia range of nappies - we used the newborn & infant nappies when my daughter was just born and they were MUCH better than the huggies newborn! She stayed in the different sizes longer too! We had less leakages than with huggies and they are so good we haven't even considered trying another brand.

Really happy with the Aldi Mamia nappies, good quality and does the job of the brand names at a fraction of the cost. The fun designs are an added bonus - my son likes them and I like that they're Aussie animals that we go on to talk about. I am now a convert!

I've been using Mamia nappies for about a year with my DS2. I initially changed over to Mamia nappie due to the price. I've been very happy with them so far. I don't use them over night anymore though as my little one started leaking through but for day to day wear I can't fault them, especially with the price. Great little nappy!

Mamia nappies gave me back my sanity.

by
4.75 out of 5

I found Mamia nappies both great in quality and great in price. They were far cheaper than other nappy brands and did a better job. Once I started using Mamia nappies and never used another brand after that. My son used to wet nappies very heavily and other nappies used to leak, which was terrible through the night as I would have to change all the cot bedding as well from the leaking. Mamia nappies gave me back my sanity.

Great value for money

by
4.75 out of 5

I love the Mamia nappies as they are great alternative to the expensive brands. They do a great job overall, no leakage and didn't give my bub a rash. The only downfall is they are not good enough to be used as all night nappies. But that doesn't bother me at all, during the night when there's no need for too many changes we're using the more expensive brand and during the day we use the Mamia which saves us lots of money. Overall we're very happy with them. ;)

Just as good (or better!) and MUCH cheaper!

by
4.75 out of 5

I switched to Aldi nappies about a year after the birth of my first son. The more expensive brand that I had been using was leaking and driving me crazy! I was skeptical of switching to a cheaper brand, but did so and had no leaks!! I continued using Aldi nappies for each subsequent child! The only negative would be that they can become so full over night that they can soak through, but my boys are huge milk drinkers so they may just pee a lot at night!

by
4.75 out of 5

The Mamia nappies are a perfect fit on our little man. They are surprisingly absorbent and are made from quality materials. Unfortunately, they did leak a little over-night... but this is a normal occurrence even using Huggies, which I had always considered to be the highest quality nappy. However, given the considerably lower price of the Mamia nappies, I'll be staying with the Aldi brand from now on. One thing I would like to mention... Daddy is not overly impressed with his boy having any pink on anything he wears. Although I'm pretty sure Bub doesn't mind. :)

My son was super happy to receive a package today, and was excited to see his new night time pants. He is day time toilet trained, but not yet ready to give up the nappies at night. He wanted to get dressed after the bath himself, and likes the idea of being able to go to the toilet by himself now that he can pull them up and down on his own.

I am using these on my little boy who is just over a month old, I find them soft against his skin while capturing his urine well and keeping his skin dry. They are great around the legs to stop leakage and also his messy poo doesn't escape from around the sides. I think these compare just as well to other well known brand nappies and will be trying them in the larger size later on also

What excellent value for money! I get excited when I see that my local Aldi have boxes for the mamia nappies rather than the smaller packets. I was using the newborn size on my daughter and found they fitted her more comfortably around her chubby thighs than huggies newborns. I have no issues with the nappies, just a couple of poo explosions, byt that probably would have happened with other brands too. I highly recommend mamia nappies to all my friends and have even converted a few!

when I had my grandchildren to stay for two weeks whilst their parents were in the USA for a wedding, I ran out of the brand nappies their parents provided, i bought the Aldi ones because that's where i shopped, that week. I wasn't sold when I first received the Mamia Nappy Pants and the first night wasn't a good one, I was then very very surprised during the day and the next 4 nights the Mamia Nappies couldn't have been better. I was quiet shocked that my little man was dry in the mornings and during the day and to make things better they are so easy to put on rather than regular nappies, even when he had a runny bowl movement they where very easy to come off and didn't go everywhere. I will def be buying Mamia Nappies from now on.

Amazing, affordable and comfortable for baby!

by
4.63 out of 5

Mamia nappies are fantastic. I had used a leading brand that most people know beginning with H******. I was delighted that when I tried Mamia from Aldi, I could reccomend them. I would absolutely buy them again, for the reason of quality. They are a superior product. So far we have had no leaks or anything adverse happen. No tabs have pulled off, and they seem to be comfortable for my daughter. My daughter is a mostly cloth wearing baby, but the times we have to go out to the shops i dont like lugging around used clothies so I always have some Mamia in the nappy bag, and in the car and even at home for those laundry disaster days! On a scale of 1-10 I give them a 8/10 which is very high. Their price is amazing, for what you get, it is unbeatable. Compared to the H******* brads we had used I would rate them the same in quality and lower in price (honestly).

I have used a variety of nappies over the past six years, and I can say with certain that Mamia nappies are the best. I do not use other brands any more only Mamia.

Great product for larger newborns

by
4.56 out of 5

These nappies have been great with our newborn, with no leaks or problems encountered. I particularly find the tabs easier to pull out and re-use, more than the Huggies brand, particularly when it is 3am and your eyelids are not co-operating. The use of images (the front of a possum and the rear of a possum) to indicate the correct way to place the nappy so that even the most apprehensive person can feel secure. The absence of a wetness indicator is the only downside of these nappies, as the absorbent layer works fairly well and can sometimes mask small wetness patches. Given the size of our son, I am not sure I would recommend the newborn size for smaller babies but definitely for those weighing 4kg.

My mother bought a pack of the unisex first time pants over with her on one of her trips to visit, and both me and my son fell in love with them. He loves the pictures on the front and that he can pull them up himself. I love that they hold a fare amount without being bulky. My son know refers to them as his ducky pants whenever we have to change him and refuses to wear anything else. The only downside to these nappies is that they are not available in my state and as such i have to get my mum to send them to us every month.

They're absorbent, comfortable, super reasonably priced, but for some reason they just didn't work for my son and they just used to leak all the time. They are great, but don't hold masses, so if you don't mind frequent nappy changes then it's a great product. I find overnight they struggle to do the job, but every other time they are great. They are soft and the elastic on them is pretty generous. They also work out much much cheaper than the major brands as they come in a decent sized packet that doesn't break the bank.

i have used both the newborn size and the infant - about to move on to crawler size. i find them a larger fit than other brands , but just as good , if not possibly better. they do have a slight smell, if not changed every 3-4 hours. i think they are very pocket friendly, and with the cost of everything going up its nice to know that these nappies are not only affordable but quality i will continue to use for the crawler size. i find that they look / feel cheap however they certainly do there job. they fit correctly and also seem more flexible and comfortable for baby to wear. i will say i used huggies newborn for the first 2 weeks as i found the aldi to large but quickly made the switch. i also love that a few times a year the do the special or a large box for $18 !! i think they should consider always having boxs available , this would encourage people to use the brand , as buying in bulk is much more convenient

After three kids, we have concluded that these are the best affordable nappies around. Currently our baby wears the nappies and our older child uses the pull-ups at night. I love the value for money of mamia nappies, we've never had any overnight leaks which is one thing that it must not do and mamia does not. So I love the fact that it's a day/night nappy unlike some other brands. It keeps baby dry, so no rashes or redness. The grips tabs are strong which is very important as with another brand we've had the grip tabs rip off as we've been putting the nappy on our baby. Would and have recommended these nappies to many friends and family.

I have made this my new nappy brand. I am saving so much money. I did use only huggies but, have swapped to Mamia. You get a really good quality nappy that doesn't leak and it keeps baby dry. And you get a large amount of nappies for around 12 to 15 dollars. It is saving me more than half of i was spending before . So that means i now have that little bit extra for the shopping. I would recommend mamia to anyone using disposable nappies. They are really worth every cent. :-)

A very thin nappy at first inspection but also very soft. A little worried they might leak on my newborn but no leakages so far! I really like how soft they are against bubs' skin. They are also really stretchy. Overall I would recommend them and definately buy them. They are a great nappy for the price, even if they are only for day time :)

No leaks

4.25 out of 5

We tried the nappy pants last night. I was a bit worried that the sides would tear because the waist isn't as stretchy as my usual brand, but they went on ok. I was very surprised that there were no leaks because of how thin they are - you wouldn't think they have that kind of absorbency, but they obviously do! Her nappy was very full in the morning, but there were no leaks. Pretty satisfied with that. My daughter has sensitive skin, so we'll see how they go in the long run and post another review in a week or so.

I am excited to review this product with my Daughter who is in nappies only at night time. We currently use Huggies nappy pants. First thoughts is that it looks great. I think the "unisex" pictures are very girly - so I don't mind but mothers of boys might.

They definitely compare to my current brands, Huggies at night, coles home brand during the day. I feel i can now just buy one brand, Mamia, and not have to worry which nappy is for day or night. Easy. Only complaint is that they are a bit harder to pull up after swimming. When poolside I love a pull up that just pulls straight up even on slightly clammy skin, these are not great there. Otherwise….Love them, will definately buy more.

Loving Mamia nappies so far!

by
4.19 out of 5

We received the 12-18kg pull-up pants and my little boy was very excited. He said he liked the picture on the pack and the pictures on the actual pull up pants. My little boy weighs 18 kg so I was a little concerned with whether the pull up pants would actually fit that well or whether they would get damaged and tear when trying to put them on him. They are a great fit on him and seemed quite stretchy to put on. So far there have been no leaks during the day or night and there has been no skin irritation so the pants are quite absorbent and dry.

Great value for money

by
4.13 out of 5

I have purchased these nappies when aldi bought them out in the big boxes rather than the smaller packs. The boxes are really good value for money. I paid about $17.00 and the were around 80 nappies in the box. I think they only bring the boxes around once a year. My only dissapointment is that they don't sit as well as other nappies I have tried around my little ones waist. I think this is because of the design of the tabs. I have had no problems with leakage, and they look comfortable. I would still buy them again.

i recently purchased these again after switching to another brand about a year ago. It seems the make has changed in 12 months. I used to love them and rave how good they were but i think the quality has dropped abit. They are still good nappies im just not confident in them overnight without spills. they seem less absorbent and not as soft as they were. My child has no reaction to them so that and the fact they are cheap are a plus.

Excellent low cost nappy - for day time

by
4.13 out of 5

The Mamia nappies are excellent and priced extremely well. I have no problems during the day in terms of leaks, but nights are another matter. I tried using a larger size at night, but still had leaks, so we use another brand at night, and Mamia through the day when we change bubs more often. They're great value, I definitely recommend them to all!

Great second rate product.

by
4.13 out of 5

I like that these nappies are thinner than other brands which must equal more comfort for those toddling around and on their feet as there is less between their legs. Offers fine day time protection and as yet have never had any leaks (and I have been using these for about 12mnths). Night time however is another story. I found most mornings my 18mth old wakes wet, and not just slightly but soaked through. I have since changed to a larger size which seems to be doing the job at the moment but he requires changing as soon as he wakes up in the morning. They are the best priced nappies in the market however not superior to something like huggies.

Light and thin

by
4.13 out of 5

We just received our Mamia Nappies in the mail and I have to say, they are incredibly thin. We usually use Huggies or Babylove, but these Nappy Pants are the thinnest I've ever seen, which is important to me because we want our daughter to treat them like undies more than nappies. They are actually spot on the same size as the Huggies one, although the waist doesn't feel as stretchy - will see if that effects them when we try them on. They look and feel very good quality and have the little elastic leg shields, so we'll see how they go tonight (we're day toilet trained here) and I'll post another review in the morning.

I have tried quite a number of different nappy brands for my son, including a couple of overseas brands when we were on holidays. Mamia nappies are cheaper than most other nappies, while the performance is comparable. However, my son is a tummy sleeper and Mamia nappies leak when used overnight (even when I buy one size bigger). Not a big deal, I use another brand solely for night sleeping and Mamia nappies at all other time .

My toddler has just finished her packet of Mamia nappy pants, and overall, it's been pretty good. They are surprisingly thin, but despite that, we never had a leak, and considering she only wears them overnight, that's pretty impressive. The only complaint I have about them is that the waist band is not very stretchy - it was a bit of a tight fit for my 16kg toddler, and this size is supposed to cater for up to 18kg. Apart from that, I found them to be great quality and a much better price than my usual nappy pants.

I was given Mamia Nappy pants to test, on first impressions, I liked the packaging, I thought it was cute. I showed my daughter the nappy pants and she loved them, loved the Platypus. I thought it was good amount of nappy pants they put in their. My daughter is toilet trained and she just wears these to bed or for really long car trips as a just in case, so I mainly concerned about leakage. I've had some problems with other cheaper nappy pants recently where they are leaking and tearing, so I was VERY happy to find this morning when I checked that the nappy pants were in still intact and no leaks! So far, so good.

Soft & Compact Mamia Nappies

by
4 out of 5

We received our packet today and immediately opened the packet. The nappies were a lovely compact size, and felt quite soft which I hope would feel comfortable on my baby's skin. The nappy is quite flexible and stretchy, which is something we like in a nappy. The nappy feels quite similar to the brand we have been using, so it will be interesting to see how we go overnight - we have been experiencing a few leaky nappies with the other brand, so we hope the Mamia will hold everything in. We like the pictures on the nappy - very cute! Will post a follow up review once we have had more time to test the nappies.

by
3.81 out of 5

Having twins I go through a lot of nappies, I purchased these as we were in a city that has an Aldi store, hesitant at first but they were good. I preferred to use these during the day and found that if the children peed a lot during the night you had to constantly change the nappies as these ones don't hold a lot of it in comparison to some other brands on the market. That was for a good 8-10 hour sleep for the toddlers. I didn't try them when they were little newborns, but definitely well worth the savings if you keep an eye on the wees.

Thanks for the nappies to try on my little man. Although he is only 5 weeks old and fits the sizing for the newborn nappies the contents do not fit. We have had a few explosions out the side of the nappies but they contain the pee well. The thickness of the nappies and quality of the nappies was surprising for the price they charge. The design is also quite cute. Compared to other newborn nappies we tried our current brand is the only one that works well for him. I have tried other brands in the infant range and due to his size they have the same result as he is to small the the nappy but has the output for the larger size. My current option in the infant range works for both size and containment. If you compare prices for the Mamia nappies to the other brands on the market and the sizing was right for your child i would choose the Mamia brand.

Our pack of size 12-18kg nappies arrived today. My first thought was that they looked thin but my second thought was how cute the picture of the platypus was on the front. Our 20.5 month old boy is only 12kg so I wasn't sure if they'd be too big, but they appeared to fit perfectly. So far we have only used two nappies, although the first was left on a little longer than planned due to some unexpected delays in our day. We change our toddler boy's nappy on average every two hours during the day/waking hours, but this was left on maybe about three hours? So I was surprised to see how absorbent it was for something that looked so thin. That said, it was very full and not sure I would want to use it overnight. We currently use Huggies regular nappies overnight. We will be interested to see how these pull ups go as I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pull up with the best price for day time use! :) Oh and I agree with someone else - was quite a bit of effort to rip open the pack with just hands. Next time I'd go straight for the scissors possibly. No big deal in the long run but thought I'd mention it since someone else did. Also, I don't really like that we have to give stars to the brand on our very first review when most of us haven't used them yet? Thanks :)

Good choice for a day time pull up nappy :)

by
3.69 out of 5

I have been quite happy with the Mamia pull ups for day time use. I don't care for them for overnight use unfortunately. So far, regular Huggies nappies still wins out for us for overnight use for our 21-month-old boy. Which is a shame, because I prefer Mamia's price ;) I have been on the hunt for a good day time pull up for ages, trying lots of brands. Mamia pull ups are definitely now probably on my top 3 brand preferences for day time use. I was actually surprised to see how strong the sides were. My little man is a wriggler and more than once was trying to get away from me while I tried to change his nappy. I grabbed him by the half-on pull up as he tried to escape and was actually surprised to see it didn't rip the sides of the nappy and fall off! So it appears the sides/tabs are nice and strong and stretchy. The nappies themselves are quite a snug fit and I agree with something another reviewer mentioned - not the best/easiest pull up to throw on after a swimming lesson, quite a lot of effort for me on that one. But that aside, so far I would purchase them again for day time use. Thank you. :)

Great nappy, sticky tabs.

by

This nappy was wonderful except that it wasn't as easy to use as other nappies. The tabs are very sticky which make it difficult for a quick and easy change. These are just as good if not better than the Baby Love nappies at a fraction of the cost which is always great. I'm a recent convert to Mamia nappies and I find that they are very good for the price. They're not quite as absorbent as Huggies nappies so I find that I'm averaging an additional nappy change each day, however, the over all cost saving more than compensates for the extra nappy change.

I initially reviewed these Nappy pants when I first received them. After having used the entire packet I find them average. On my 10kg toddler they were a little big (but I did expect that as they were sized 12-18kg) the were absorbent for her tho. Easy to put on and take off and she liked wearing them. Only had a wee leak once during the day. Also used them on my 16kg child (night only) and they were a good fit easy for her to put on herself and take off herself with no leaking overnight. Pic on front is a bit girly tho.

Comfortable & Affordable Nappy

by
3.44 out of 5

After using the Newborn nappies during the trial, our impressions are: 1. They were soft and comfortable and didn't cause any nappy rash. The designs on the front and back of the nappy were very cute! 2. They did leak a little bit, especially overnight. Unfortunately, they leaked every night for us. One morning, Baby Man woke with his entire suit soaked, because the nappy just didn't hold everything in as well as our current brand. 3. The price for these nappies was a good selling point, but the price is quite comparable to our current brand. We have enjoyed using the Mamie nappies, and would not hesitate to buy them in the future. However, they would be the 2nds choice for us after our current brand. Thank you, MoM, for giving us the opportunity to trial these nappies.

Would like to see how the other sizes 'measure up'

by
3.19 out of 5

First impression was that it was such a small package, they are super slim nappies, nice and compact. The design is a little juvenile for the biggest size in the pack (compared to what my nearly 4yo boy is interested in). When putting it on, it is VERY snug! The weight recommendation is 12-18kg, he's a skinny 15kg and it barely fit around his waist, or around his legs. There isn't much 'give' in the waistband at all. They also seem more of a high cut around the leg than our current brand, so I did wonder how they would go with a #2, or worse, the dreaded #3!! As he only wears a nappy at night and is transitioning out of nappies I wondered if they would hold 'a big boy wee' if he didn't get up in time in the morning. Happily, he has only had 1 wet morning this week, but at least it has given me the ability to report that yes, they will hold a big morning wee without leaks! I'd love to try the smaller range on my little miss and see how they stand up to her night-time use.

Nappy Pants

by
3.19 out of 5

We used them as night time nappies, they seem to last the whole night with no leaks, they fit snug but they are hard to pull up on her own. I did find that they smelt more than other brands did in the morning. They never left anything on the skin which is great. They held up with my 4yr old over night which is a plus. For the price Id say they are good and I would possibly use them again. I liked that they had a back and front design that my 4 yr old could tell which was which. She has asked for some prettier pictures though.

Just received and had a look at the pants and they seem to be a good size/fit with stretchy sides that feel soft and comfortable. The padding or absorbent part seems a bit thin, but have yet to test this part out, I doubt they would be sufficient for overnight, but a good nappy for during the day.

I got my pack of nappies today and wasn't sure what was in the box, to my surprise the nappies were in the box. When I opened the box I saw a pack of nappies, the package size is so convenient. I have opened the nappies, fallen in love with the pictures on the nappy. The inside of the nappy feels so soft, I have also discovered that the pictures on the nappies clearly tells me which way it goes (front & back). I'm a bit concerned as the front bit is usually meant to be thicker than the back, I don't think these nappies could handle the overnight duty but I will be putting it to the test today/tonight and surely be keeping you all updated as to whether this is more of a night time or day time nappy.

Cheap value nappies

3.06 out of 5

If you are looking for a cheap nappy that is reasonably good quality then Aldi nappies are great. I tried the newborn ones and felt they didn't last as long as other brands. A wetness indicator would be good to help out new parents. But in terms of getting value for money they are pretty good. It is hard to get them in Aldi as often sold out so that is also a negative.

It was full of surprises

by
3.06 out of 5

At first I was shocked at how many nappies were in the packet considering how condensed it is! I then pulled one out and thought... there is no way this is going to get around my DD legs and its so thin, I hope there is no spillage...So I put one on little miss and to my surprise it took a little effort getting it up but once up it wasn't tight against her tummy or legs! It seems a little pouchy in the "containing area" but doesn't seem to bother her when she walks. So two really good points thus far..... 1) she knew when she did a wee wee and pointed it out to me (we have only really just begun the whole toilet training thing) 2) there was no spillage One small down fall, because we are in the very early learning stage, I find it very hard to take them on and off her to go the toilet so that I can reuse it (as there is no wee).... ATM DD likes to tell me very 30 - 45mins that she needs to do a wee - as we are in novelty mode haha Other than that I am very eager to keep using and haven't missed my current brand too much...

Follow up

by
3 out of 5

After initially being disappointed with the number of leakages, I have found that the Mamia newborn nappies are ok when I use them just while my baby is awake. I change him into one when he first wakes up, then feed him, play with him, during which time he does a wee. I then put my usual branded nappy on him for sleeping in. I guess it could be seen as a way to cut costs slightly, but I still wouldn't switch brands for 100% of the time.

Great for the DAY

by
2.94 out of 5

We have used these nappies on and off for both our children. We found them to be great for children without sensitive skin. My first child didn't have very sensitive skin and they worked well for him during the day. My second child has had issues with nappy rash with many brands of nappy including Mamia. We also found that during the night (for boys anyway) the Mamia nappy couldn't hold the amount needed and therefore nearly each night there would be leakage. Also the skin would remain moist and more prone to rashes.

by

Well first impression of the packet was that it was strange that the child seem to be crawling when they are for walking age. The packet was tricky to open too. Although checking out the pull up itself, it felt like good quality. Looked similar to huggies, and very thin so will possibly be comfy and discrete. The waist didn't seem very 'elastic' or flexible. This may make it hard for my little guy to pull them up properly. Interested to see how they go.

Pack has a great deal of information, I wouldn't normally bother to read it all. Pink outfit on child on pack didn't lead my eye to "unisex" I would have looked straight past this product (I have a boy). The nappies feel a bit thin but are easy to put on an active toddler. Will be interested in how absorbant it is as my boy is a heavy wetter overnight.

When you pay cheaply you get poor quality. Thats what we got with mamia nappies. Theyre poorly made and needed to be changed every hour on my son. It kept bursting open and giving my son nappy rash. Id only really recommend these as a daycare nappy because theyre cheap. Ill definitely be sticking with cloth nappies on my babies and babies to come. I definitely will not purchase mamia nappies again because of what they did to my child

A good beginning to disposable nappies

by
2.56 out of 5

Just home from hospital, we were glad to find the Mamia Nappies on our doorstep ready for review. Based upon initial comparison, the side tabs appeared to be more stretchy than the current brand of nappies supplied by the hospital, which is a bonus. At this stage, the presence of a wetness indicator would have been appreciated, as this was a quick and easy way for first time parents to check for nappy changes.

Ok for disposables

by
2.44 out of 5

i have been using these for my daughter during the night as she is toilet trained during the day. i find them a tight fit and a little diffcult to pull up but they are nice and secure in the morning. No leaks and no rashes. i was impressed as they seem so thin but they do hold her wee. i then decided to try out the smaller nappies on my son (7months) and i am less than impressed. They do not contain his poo at all. I found it would go all up his back and I would need to change whole outfits. Also he has developed a very nasty rash. I personally normally use cloth nappies as I am a consultant for cushie tushie modern cloth nappies. i wanted to keep an open mind and was impressed with my daughter, however my experience with my son and a now nasty rash has sent me straight back to cloth. I prefer our eco disposables as they are made out of natural products and do not inflame his skin. These nappies are comparable to other disposable brands so if I was to switch to disposable i would consider them over huggies/babylove.

Good Value for the price

by
2.44 out of 5

It is hard to keep to a strict budget when you have little ones so I thought these would be a good option as they are cheaper. My little one is what you might say 'well hydrated' and tends to go through a lot of nappies in the day. I loved the printed platypus on the nappy and the idea that he had a front and back to tell you which way the nappy went. I found that these pants needed a lot of adjusting to get them to fit properly which wasn't easy with a squirmer. There are soft and the material feels nice. They do absorb but I need to change a lot more than with my other usual brand.

The product was not as absorbent as the current product that I use and the fit was not as snug or as well fitting. The nappy does not last as long and is surely not for night use

by
2.19 out of 5

So my initial thought when it arrived was that it is soft and looked comfortable. I couldn't wait to try them. I put my daughter down for a nap and had put the nappy on her before she went down and when she woke up my partner said to me "haven't you changed her nappy since I've been gone?" I said yes I have! He said she was full and needed a nappy change, my daughter was down for a nap for approx 2hours. I explained to him that I'm doing a review on this product, I felt the nappy and thought wow it held it all, the nappy was heavy! Ok so the pros and cons, The good part is she didnt leak anywhere, they had fit good and there was no signs of tightness from the nappy to the legs or anywhere. The bad part is that after two hours of having the nappy on her then feeling the weight of the nappy there is no way I could rely on the nappy to hold and absorb throughout the night. Every toddler is different and drinks different amounts so I can't totally judge upon that one problem. My advice is this nappy is ideal throughout the day, not nap/sleep time so clearly you would have to have another type of nappy at hand during these times. Really depends on how much your toddler is drinking too but it's not something we limit. They sure are way better than kmart nappies though..I don't think it beat coles comfy bots though or huggies, They would have to make the absorbency better to get me buying them frequently. This nappy cant handle much urine in my opinion. The pictures were quite catchy and cute but Quality comes first.

Ok design - Quality just not as good as others

by
2.13 out of 5

We have been using these nappy pants for the last week. While our daughter was excited by the change in design compared to our regular pull ups, the fit and quality just wasn't the same. Our daughter wet through them 2 nights out of 7 (we have never ha had this issue with our regular Pull Ups). The fit wasn't the best, and our daughter was constantly trying to adjust herself, and they are quite snug and you really have to wriggle them on (despite our daughter being at the lower end of the weight guide)! All in all I probably would recommend them as a short term option if we couldn't source our regular Pull ups!

A few too many leakages so far

by
2 out of 5

Not sure if it's just a coincidence but with my regular brand of nappies I've never had a problem with leakages. The first Mamia nappy that I put on my son leaked, as did the second and the third. I persisted for a few days, with about a 50% success rate! Not good enough in my opinion. I have since worked out that my son wee's more (as in a greater volume) over night and for the first half of the day, so am now just using the Mamia nappies of and afternoon (so usually 2 nappies a day). So far this is working. I also don't feel as though they keep my baby's skin as dry as my usual brand.

I received my Mamia Review Pack today, I did find it a little confusing where to open the pack but a while of looking I found the opening, on first feel and look, the First Pants feel very thin but it may be because I'm used to Regular Nappies and not Nappy Pants. They feel soft on the inside and are a little bit elasticised to help hold them up at the waist. The little animal print is very cute and my son was exicited about these when he seen them. The pack size is great compared to other brands

Promising start but not to last

by
1.94 out of 5

I finally finished the packet that was sent... unfortunately, these nappies really upset DD skin. At first I thought I wasn't maybe changing them frequently enough so the gave the Aldi ones a rest for two days and started again on the third day changing pretty much every 1 - 1.5 hours (when she was awake) but again I feel they didn't keep moisture off her skin well enough and therefore causing a very irritable nappy rash. She is in just the beginning stages of toilet training so she was still weeing more than often in the nappy.... I know every child is different and this product may not upset your little ones skin.. in saying that it would be worth a try. They are a good quality made nappy for the cost and when you have those weeks where things are really tight and you aren't convinced to move away from your existing brand these would probably do the trick. If DD didn't react so badly I would consider changing from Huggies brand during the day and only use those at night so maybe an idea for you other mummies

Initially I thought the Mamia Newborn nappies looked and felt comfortable, loved the cut out for the umbilical stump, but as most mums will know those first meconium poos can be very messy. The nappies were unable to contain the mess resulting in way too much extra washing for a mum of 2! My daughter has also ended up with an infection in her umbilical stump possibly due to the poo leaking up the front of the nappies and too much moisture sitting around the area.

Thought I would give these a chance but they really aren't that great in quality especially from the brand I currently use. If you have a tight budget then these will work just fine or if your child is in the process of toilet training and hardly using nappies this is an affordable way to go

Not for my girl unfortunately!

by
1.75 out of 5

The price of these nappies are fantastic!! Which is why I decided to give them a go for over night only as my girl is toilet trained during the day. The feel of them were alright given the price, but no where near the quality of huggies, babylove etc. But of course for the price I wasn't one to complain! I tried them out and they did hold the moisture in and they were an alright fit, a little tight. The only complaint I have is that they really upset my girls skin, she got a terrible rash from using them. So unfortunately I threw the rest out and I wouldn't use them again. She does have sensitive skin though, so it could just be her. Overall they worked well and the price is great! But I wouldn't use them again.

I purchase Mamia nappies to give them a go, as for the price, who would complain, especially if they worked well. Unfortunately they didn't work well for us. They caused nappy rash, didn't fit right, leaked right through the actual nappy, and to touch - it certainly wouldn't be something I would want on my bum let alone my children's. This product was not for us, but I have had friends that have had no problems with them. I will be game to try them again in the future to see if they improve...

I was a bit hesitant when I first opened the nappy, they felt thinner than my usual nappies and the leak guard wasn't as big. On first impressions the First Pants looked like they were made for boys: the packet was blue with a little boy pictured on the front. I think more neutral colours on the packaging would work much better. There was not a lot of stretch to get them on around the waist and the first around the crotch was not snug (to say the least). One positive was that the picture helps to show you which is the front and which is the back of the nappy. The material is soft but for my wet wet wet little girl not absorbent enough. Unfortunately, not a suitable nappy for us.

Disappointing

I tried Mamia nappies as most of the Aldi products have been quite good. Unfortunately these were not for us. They didn't fit my little one very well and leaked. They also gave her terrible terrible nappy rash that took quite some time to clear up. I have been scared to use them again.

Not good quality!

I recent did a review of using the nappy throughout nap time when my partner asked me if I had changed her nappy since he had been gone! I decided to give it a try at night and there was wee everywhere! The nappy is a perfect fit and did not leak because the nappy is too big it was because the nappy could not actually hold the amount of urine! The nappy also put ring marks around her legs during the overnight period. The nappies I received were for size 12-18kg, my daughter is 12kg! I think aldi need to make them more thicker as many did say it was thin. I'm sure to stick with coles comfy bots.

The don't work for me

I was hoping that these would be better after a few times using them. But unfortunately they just don't seem to work as well as the brand I am using. For pull ups there is a lot of fussing around after they are on to try to get the sides to side right (they seem to fold in and this allows leaks). Even after spending time doing this (which isn't easy with a kicky toddler that wants to go back to playing) they still leak. I would constantly be having to change my daughter to avoid this and would be using a lot more nappies than I am which would mean i was not saving any money shifting to this brand. I know my daughter is 'well hydrated' (ok, she pees a lot) so these may work better for other bubs. Just not a winner here.

does some kind of job

i used these on my newborn as they had been a baby shower gift. I am not a nappy snob but i really recommend using huggies until they need their next set of bigger nappies (my experience with a newborn who was size 000) because i know nappy explosions and leaks happen occasionally anyway but when i used mamia, leaks seemed to occur with almost every nappy, which is such a hassle and so frustrating to deal with bathing baby and changing sheets and mountains of daily laundry on very little sleep. All nappies these days are so thin and on the side of cheap and nasty even though prices don't reflect this. I currently use homebrand nappies & coles brand is also really great for budgets (also for hubbies that say they are just going to poo in it anyway) Avoid select and black & gold brand nappies because they are way worse than these and you'll be just as well off with either no nappy or your own makeshift design!

Below my expectations, leaky and allergic rash

The packaging seems nice enough but don't think it would necessarily jump off the shelf at me to want to buy. My daughter liked the platypus print on them though. Cute to see the behind view in the back of the nappy so that's a cute design feature. My daughter uses these at night, so wakes with a full wet one each morning. Theses just don't hold the volume of her current Huggies. She also woke with a rash from the band around her tummy. She doesn't get this from her normal ones so I'm not likely to buy the Aldi Mamia nappies.
