Review: CERELAC Baby Rice

I tried this rice cereal as the first solid I introduced to my 4.5 month old son. He loved it! Smooth, easy to make and not lumpy at all. Also easy to mix with other fruit/vegetable/meat puree to thicken and add nutrients. I also love that it's fortified with iron, so it is helping him get the nutrients he needs.

This baby rice cereal has been a great way to help to introduce my 4 month old daughter to solid foods. It’s so quick and easy to prepare. Simply mix it with 60ml of lukewarm boiled clean drinking water and stir until smooth. My little one enjoys this tasty treat. She also likes it when I use breast milk instead of water. I am glad that it contains a good amount of iron. I would happily recommend this baby rice cereal to other parents.

This product is a good starter for babies who start eating solids at 4 months, it is very smooth when mixed properly.Bub did not struggle when he had his first taste so less anxiety for me! :D It comes in a box and very easy to prepare what I love about it is that you can just mix what you think your bub can consume and if it is not enough you can easily make some more, so you have less waste. You can easily put some mashed fruit and veg to make it more tasty. I just wished it came with a resealable bag for easy storage.

Started introducing solids with my baby with Cerelac which was good. And it started from Mom’s sample. My baby is absolutely loving it.

After I received my free products I tested it straight away. It is very easy to prepare by just adding a pre boiled water you can have a meal ready for your baby. I tried a teaspoon myself first to taste the flavor and the texture. The First spoon was accepted easily. My son loves it. He finished the whole bowl and wanting for more. He also have a good sleep at night unlike with the previous baby food that I am giving him. It is also easy to digest and baby doesn’t have any cholic or indigestion. I will highly recommend this products to ang mum whose wanting to give the best food for their baby.

This is my first time trying CERELAC and I am quite please with the outcome. From opening the package, preparing and feeding, it took no less than 15 minutes. The instruction was clear to follow and I like the texture of the cereal, not too runny when feeding and it still remain the same texture towards the end of the feeding.

My son loves Cerelac, We started on baby rice and now use the other flavours such as the multi grain with banana & apple. The different textures such as flakes, muesli and fruit are great for sensory learning. Cerelac cereals contain all of the probiotics and vitamins that my son needs, so it's very reassuring.

This is so good such an easy food to have and make for your baby! My niece absolutely loves it and has it everyday for breakfast! Definitely such a great food for any parent to have for their babies. 100% recommend for every parent out there to try with their little bubba!

Cerelac has always been a favourite in our family and my son loved the rice just as much as the cereals. It was a good texture and easy for my son to eat. I could add veggies as he started to get older and it gave good variety to his diet. I love that it’s super easy to make and I can always find it at the shopping center.

I have used CERELAC baby rice for both my babies it is so easy and versatile with either homemade vegetables or as cereal in the morning with stewed fruit and breastmilk my baby loves it!

My little girl is a very picky eater. I find she only has little bits here and there. When I mixed up the cereal she loved it and ate the whole bowl. She was happily looking for more! This is great that I have finally found something that she enjoys! It mixed easily, no lumps and was quick and easy to prepare.

Max loved the cereal, he has only been eating for a few weeks and so new textures and flavours are paramount. He seemed to love the cereal leaning forward with his little mouth open waiting for the next mouthful. Makes feeling time easy when he likes the food. Little hands went in and he placed more into his mouth. Great cereal.

My bub has tried the cerelac breakfast. She thoroughly enjoyed eating it. She was feeding herself at one point. It’s great for every age milestone. The texture is good and is made to what age group they are. Would definitely recommend this product

My daughter absolutely loved this. It puts my mind at ease to know that as well as it being delicious, it contains added iron and vitamin C that she is needing as part of her everyday diet. Cerelac baby rice was an easy and enjoyable way to start solids for our newly 4 month old. I love starting solids and always start with baby rice and purée until moving into finger food around 6 months. I mixed the baby rice with breast milk instead of water. Bub accepted the baby rice easily and seemed to like the taste, she definitely enjoyed it more when mixed with breastmilk over water. I’m guessing because it was a touch sweeter. We will continue to use the rice cereal and mix it with fruit and veg purées over the next couple of months. This gives me peace of mind knowing that our baby is getting a good dose of iron, vitamin C and probiotics along with the vitamins and minerals from purées. The packaging is appealing and you definitely get good quality and quantity for the price. Thanks Nestle for making introducing solids easy :)

My first born wasn't a big fan of this so I was unsure whether my second born would like it either. I was grateful to be chosen for this trial and guess what he loved it! I make some of this up with formula or cooled boiled water and it turns out fine. I also mix in some fruits and he loves it. I will be buying more when I finish this pack!

We are primarily doing baby led weaning with my baby boy. He has the occasional pouch of food which he has now started refusing, so I was sceptical that he would enjoy baby rice. However he absolutely loves it! The ingredients are fantastic and it is super easy to make. Lots of iron and even has probiotics so I feel good giving this to him.

I was very amazed how my son easily accepted cerelac for the first time. I am so comfortable giving cerelac to my little one as it is packed with all the goodness and healthy ingredients, not to mention the texture which is perfect for babies.

I have 3 kids all under the age of 4 and with each one when they were between the ages of 4-6 months I’ve used cerelac baby rice as their first ‘solid’ food. It is so easy to prepare and it’s versatile in a way that you can serve it with boiled water, breastmilk or formula. It can even be added to purées. My son loved cerelac.. especially with extra fruit for breakfast. Sometimes we rolled banana in it so he could grip it easier. Definitely something I recommend for other mums and bubs to use.

I was given a sample of the Cerelac Baby rice with the Multigrain Pear to try. Seeing my grandchild was older than the 4 months I decided to stew some fruit up and mix it in with the rice. My grandchild loved it and the baby rice is easy to make then I just stirred in the stewed fruit. Very easy and my grandchild wanted more

I loved our cerelac cereal. It is such a convenient breakfast to feed my daughter. I found that the flavour of the pear was just right and that She loved it and could not get enough. It is very easy for her to eat.

We use our rice cereal a bit of a different way to the instructions! Unfortunately, bub will not have a bar of eating this by itself, so I simply add a couple of tablespoons through bubs warm veggie or fruit puree. I have tried a few different brands of rice cereal, however must admit that the Cerelac was perhaps the quickest and easiest to be accepted by my baby - perhaps because of its super fine texture. Alongside being a great way to bulk up some of bubs food, more importantly, it's a great way of adding some extra iron and nutrients into bubs diet, which is important for me, given baby is slowly weaning from being breast fed. I have long known Cerelac to be a reputable, trusted brand and have no hesitation in recommending it to others, or containing to buy it in the future.

Great easy way to start your bub on solids. In easy to use convenient packaging. The rice cereal can be made up with cooled boiled water, formula and you can add some purees such as apple or pears to sweeten it. You could even add some sweet potato for a different flavour or texture. It is a super affordable product and is enjoyed by my baby.

My baby just started to take solids as she is 6 months old now . I tried Cerelac Baby Rice for the first time and she liked it. I choose this to try as its from Nestle and I trusted nestle for my other kids too.

Thank for your this opportunity to try and introduce something new to our family. I have since recommended to my fellow mums needing a quick and easy meal for bubs. The Introductions are very easy to follow. It makes up quite a decent amount per portion but you can easily adjust to need which I liked. Can make it a nice consistency with the ratios provided.

Cerelac baby rice was great, the texture and consistency were easy for my son to be introduced to solids. He never had any issues with a sore tummy, allergies or constipation afterwards. It's so reassuring to know that he is also receiving the extra iron, vitamins and nutrients needed for his diet. He also really enjoyed and loved the taste and feel of baby rice. Well WOW the Baby Rice nestle Cerelac was so easy to make no lumps and dissolved so quick , My 5 year old made it and followed this instructions. My 4 month old didn’t mind the smooth texture he ate the whole bowl will be buying this in the future love how easy and quick to make and he LOVED it.

My LO loved this as his first food, he ate it regularly as breakfast - it was so quick and easy to make and as he got older it became more textured.. we did BLW so it was nice for him to have some sort of soft food too, I knew he was eating something well.

Our 11 month old son absolutely loves this cereal! We've mixed it with mashed banana for brekky, pureed veggies and mince or chicken for dinner and he has devoured it all. I find the instructions easy to follow and as bub gets more into chewing, have adjusted the cooled boiled water I add. It has iron and is so smooth so I have no reservations adding this to the food that we cook and puree for our son. It's got a strong rice flavour so you know you're serving your child the actual advertised food.

We love this for breakfast. It's easy to mix and the variety of flavours keeps it interesting, while exposing baby to new tastes. It will now be a regular in our house. I just wish it came in travel pouches too!

Super easy to prepare and is an excellent way to start off solids. Re texture is great and no need to worry about clumps that may cause choking. Bubs loved her first taste of solids.

I would recommend CERELAC to other parents as it was easy to make, had a smooth texture, was very tasty and my bub absolutely loved it!! The only downside was the package was not resealable and had to be stored in a container.

Didn't mind this rice cereal from cerelac. I previously used the multigrain one but when comparing the two side by side they kind of taste the same and i realised the multigrain one doesn't have much taste. This didn't seem to phase our little one so that was not a problem. This rice version also only has one consistency which might be beneficial for fussy or sensitive eaters. I'll keep buying as it was easy to portioned out by the instructions and very easy to make up. can pre-portion out and just add water when out and about

Tried Cerelac with my 5 month old as his first taste of solid food. At first he was a bit hesitant and unsure but by the end he seemed to enjoy it and got used to using a spoon. The cereal was easy to make and is a good high nutritional start to solid foods

Being a new texture for bub she did squish her face up until she was use to the "fluffiness" texture. She wasn't sure on the taste so mum tried too, pleasantly not bad. I feel as time goes on I could add fruits to the cereal for another texture again. A good starting point for babies experimenting with foods.

My baby loves cerelac, she finished the sample pack of the rice cereal in one go and wanted more. I made the multigrain and pear she eat it and now has cereal everyday for breakfast. Its so easy to make, needing only water. My husband is also able to make it for our baby when I am out.

My baby girl loves this and it goes down very easily, doesn't matter which flavour. The only change I would suggest is that the amounts would be measurable by tablespoons. The consistency is always the best when I use the scales for both the amount of milk and cereal.

We’ve been slowly transitioning bub onto solids and he’s loving this. Started with a more watery consistency but have progressed to a stodgier one and he’s taken to it like a duck to water. I like that it’s fortified with iron and is a well known brand and easier to find in grocery stores

My bub took to the Cerelac baby rice right away. It is easy to make, great for a busy mum. I have tried serving it as is and also with some fruit purée to mix it up. Knowing the baby rice has got a good amount of iron is great too.

Cerelac was easy to prepare. Just add water and mix. When mixed, it had a nice smell. It did not make clumps unlike other mixtures. Baby was happy.

Easy to mix. Smooth. Easy to swallow. Difficult for first month as a little runny to start.Also to store after opening as there isn't a seal etc. Great smell. Healthy with a lot of vitamins and minerals. A great product which I previously used on my other child. Easy to pack on going away. A great all round meal.

We are happy with the product and love how convenient and quick to prepare my baby’s very first food at busy lunchtime. The good thing is its powders were dissolved well too with warm breastmilk or even room temperature water. I would buy another variant of this for the baby’s next food exploration. Easy when we out and about.

This is an easy meal for my baby. It has ingredients that I want my baby to be having and I have noticed this is easily found in my local shop. I have also given this to my other 2 older children. I would suggest not add to much water or it can be very runny.

Gave my 5 month old Cerelac rice cereal and he took to it instantly! It was quick to make and easy to serve. You have it as is or add some fruit purée to mix it up a little. I also love that it gives my bub that extra boost of iron that he needs in his diet.

As a mum I love buying brands that are trusted and have stood the time. I used this product with my eldest son and still use it with my baby. My only feedback would be don't add to much water as it gets runny. I find it fills my baby enough too that he's not hungry soon after he eats. I love that I can get this in my weekly shop too.

Baby 9 months enjoyed the texture and flavours of the cereal that she enjoys for breakfast, with a banana! She loves having fruit in her hands and then I can feed her with the spoon without her grabbing the spoon. Great breakfast for her!

I was pleasantly surprised my babe loved this for his first food. He would lean into it and want more. The consistency was good. Being a solely breast fed baby i opted to try it with boiled water to start with and he loved it. I will continue to mix with boiled water for convenience. Baby rice was relatively easy to prepare. I need to be organised with boiling the water early enough to allow time for it to cool before serving. I’d buy again and will continue to use.

It took some time for bub to take to the cereal - it was more of the texture rather than anything else as he is not use to solids. After a few attempts he started to enjoy it! Very convenient packs with quick and easy prep which has been so important as I also have a 2 year old to chase after. I will be trialling with soft fruits in the next few days

I received the Cerelac Baby Rice sample and found the instructions clear, easy to follow. The cereal is convenient to prepare, made with wholesome natural grains. I trust that the cereal is fortified with iron and has probiotics for infants, to complement a varied diet. The cereal can be varied by adding milk, vegetable or fruit puree which is great.

Great cereal, it was one of the first solids we started bub on at 4 months. It took some time for him to warm up to it but I believe it is because of the unfamiliar texture rather than anything else. Consistency and taste can be easily changed simply by adding more milk/water and soft fruits like blueberries. Very convenient, especially because I also have a 2 year old toddler running around! Would definitely recommend this product!

I tried Cerelac Baby Rice cereal on all 3 of my children. Honestly at the start it didn't get taken well by them they had to get used to it. After awhile 2 of my children loved it mixed with fruit puree. My daughter however never took to the taste of it unfortunately, but I would recommend this product as its great for baby, its cheap to buy and great nutrition for them.

Easy to prepare. Convenient. My son enjoyed the flavoured sample that we received more then the plain. I just added some fresh banana to it and he enjoyed it like that.

Cerelac baby rice was easy to make and convenient. I even took it with me on the go. My baby took to it, although I added in some of my own pear puree. I would keep some of this in the cupboard for back up.

My son has been nothing short of fussy with food recently, hellish teething and the discovery that he can drop food meant he didn’t have much interest in what I was offering him. I received the baby cereal and was impressed with the packaging, it was eye catching and appealing. The instructions were easy to follow and hard to mess up. I prepared as instructed and was impressed with the texture, and tasted some myself and found it pretty tasty. Initially my son wasn’t interested and just wanted the spoon, he eventually got some into his own mouth and happily ate it. He then allowed me to continue feeding him and for the first time in weeks we were scraping the bowl. He then accepted Cerelac for breakfast for the next week and seemed to enjoy it! I’ll definitely purchase myself when we run out! My only complaint would be that the inner bag isn’t resealable, I’d much prefer packaging that reseals.

It's wonderful to mix with the baby food to fill bub up; especially in the 4+ age range before adding solids

Transitioning to solids and how to do it is always such a tough subject. Cerelac baby rice cereal is a great choice for those who may not want to go the baby-led finger food route. Which honestly scares me and with Ronan being born premature its an added stress on what is best. He was a litlle iffy on the cereal to begin with and I ended up mixing in a teaspoon of apple and banana puree, after that he had a good go at it working on getting used to the different tongue swallow routine. He seemed to enjoy it with a little more flavour and had no after effects or tummy upsets from the more solid meal than his milk diet. Would definately recommend if you are unsure if your bub is ready for solid foods yet.

This was one of the first solids we gave our twin babies and they both took to it very well. The babies enjoyed it and always finished their brekky! Smooth consistency, easy for them to eat and it’s so easy to make. Great all around, great quality and value for money. I would definitely recommend this!

The child loved it , wanted more but was worried she might have a tummy ache, i can recommend this product to all mums as it filling and nutritious meal. I will continue feeding this until she grows out of it.

I tried Cerelac Baby Rice cereal with my little one (8 months) this morning. I mixed the cereal as per the instructions. It was much the same as other brands I have used in its ease of mix. The cereal is smooth but I would say that granuels of rice cereal have more of a texture in this formula than I'm used to. My little one was not a fan. Usually he devours his rice cereal but I could barely get him to take a second mouthful of this one.

Received my sample pack and was eager to give it a go with miss 7 months packet was easy to read and understand, all relevant information on the box miss enjoyed the taste of the pat wheat and prune but turned her face against the plain baby rice. Convenient and easy to make would highly recommend this product to other mums a new go to breakfast for my little one. Very happy

Initially my son didn’t like the “little bits” in it. But has gotten use to it and loves it. He will often go to the cupboard in the afternoon and bring the box to me. So I’ll wip up a small bowl for a treat snack.

My daughter really liked eating this at 9 months but around 13 months she stopped eating it. I would highly recommend it for baby ages. She usually likes plain food but didn't like anything mushy after a while. It must have been the texture. I will be using this for my baby on the way.

My little one didn’t mind it but took a few times for her to like it. The texture was a little more thick and gluggy opposed to wheetbix. However, it was easy to make and serve within a few minutes! It didn’t take much time. So perfect for busy Mummas! I would recommend trying it. It was affordable and available in Coles.

This baby rice cereal was the first purée I fed to my child. He had no trouble with it at all and it is super easy to prepare. The taste is light and great as a first solid/purée food for my baby. I like how it has the added iron and vitamin C.

I trust Nestle Cerelac products as a nutritional food for bubs and did use some alternatives with my first baby (now 3.5). I was excited to see that this new range had been released. The baby rice wasn't a hit with my now 10 month old when prepared as per packet directions but makes a good addition to normal oats, etc as reassurance that she's getting some of the nutrition she needs.

I was really hoping Bubs would take to the cereal but they weren’t a fan. Will keep trying, maybe they aren’t ready for solids.

My 6 month old didn’t enjoy the rice cereal on its own, but I did add it to purées to boat the iron content and he seemed to enjoy that more.

I received a sample of cerelac rice with the oats & wheat sample so thought I would try it with my 7 month old. The most complicated part of preparation was having cooled boiled water for preparing it with. As I don't use formula this was an added thing I had to do so took more time to prepare than it may take others. Because it's aimed at 4+ months it is a more liquid puree consistency when compared to the oats & wheat one. My daughter easily accepted it due to the puree consistency, however, she preferred the oats & wheat one more. My dogs didn't seem to mind it at all and loved helping with the clean up!

Cerelac baby rice was accepted by my baby. Once she is a bit bigger and better at purees i will give her cerelac as part of her daily meal. It has good nutrition and iron in it. I used her normal formula to make the cerelac baby rice and i found it very user friendly and it was easy to make. Overall very good product and intend to use more in the future.

We sampled the whole grain pear which my babe didn’t love but that may change as her taste changes. I love using the plain one in other meals to add extra nutrients or as a thickener. Good product to have on hand. Would be great if the packaging was resealable for storing in the pantry.

This was a great product - the straight forward instructions made making this product a breeze. I would highly recommend this product to all parents and guardians.So effortless to get together and makes sure that your little one is getting vitamin C and iron. I found that my little one loved this product and they are usually the most fussy when trying to introduce new tastes.

This is a good staple for babies starting on solids. As my baby is a little older I found I still had to prepare some fruit to flavour it. However, it is a good base to build your breakfast on.

Nestle CERELAC Baby Rice is super easy to prepare. I used formula to prepare the baby rice. My son is 5 months old and I don’t think he is completely ready for solids but he did try the Baby Rice. The packet sizes are perfect although, I would prefer a smaller size for when babies start on solids. Would definitely try again!

I received the rice cerelac. It was so easy to use and prepare however my child didn’t enjoy it because it was tasteless.

The cereal had easy to follow instructions and was very easy to mix together. My child took a few tries to become acquired to the taste and texture but that’s just new to starting solids. Now my child eats it no problems I even mix other flavours in with it like some carrot or apple.

It was so quick and easy to make, sadly my daughter was not interested in it, not sure if it was the taste for her or not. I wish she would of liked it as it’s just a quick healthy option she could have
