Review: VGood HazelNOT Choc

We ate this straight off the spoon! A delicious and healthy treat. I dont buy nutella because of the sugar content but I'd be happy giving this to the kids because it has less sugar and the healthy benefits of chickpeas

This stuff is the bomb!! So impressed. I think this could been really be mistaken for nuttvia - all my kids and even hubby loved it! Taste and texture is just like that of Nutella! I will be buying this for sure as I've found I hard not getting able to make goodies for my kids lunch boxes with this in it. Now I can! I'm about to start cooking!!

What a fantastic pantry item this is! For the longest time my kids have sulked about not being able to have nutella in their lunchboxes at school and kindy and now!!!!! We have a safe alternative! They come with stickers so the kids can put them in / on their lunchboxes to use as a reference in case someone queries their choice of sandwich spread, I love that idea! I can not praise this range enough and it will be a pantry staple for the rest of time in our home. Thank you for a fab product and review.

I cannot praise HazelNOT spread enough! My children have never been allowed to have traditional hazlenut chocolate spread at home due to the high sugar content not at school as it’s not permitted. The looks on their faces when they realised they have a perfectly safe, low sugar altetnative hazlenut spread was priceless! Safe from added colours and preservatives and made with quality cocoa from the Netherlands, this is super delicious. I particularly love that it contains 60% less sugar than traditional chocolate spreads. Thank you for the opportunity to review, I would highly recommend this product and will be purchasing another jar soon!

Ok so it’s got sugar ! But I must say my son is allergic hazelnuts of all things and often feels left out. How inclusive is this. Flavour is there for sure and chickpea addition is a nice change too. Wel done

Not as sweet and a bit deeper and richer in flavour. Very good addition to the spreads shelf in the cupboard. Very good and will certainly share and rave with people I know who can’t have nuts

My daughter (1/4 kids) has several allergies and intolerances. The VGood HazelNOT Choc spread is AMAZING! She loves being able to have a ‘special’ as she calls them just like her older siblings, and it makes us feel good knowing she is included! My family will all be purchasing a jar to have at their house just for her! Thank you for creating this amazing product. Will be recommending to EVERYONE! It’s absolutely delicious

Tastes like the real thing! The kids loved the fact they could take it to school and eat it around friends and family with nut allergies.

This was a real hit! Eaten straight off the spoon, spread onto bread/toast and has been used to make brownies. Nice rich flavour but love how there is less sugar. This will definitely be purchased again as it has many purchases - looking forward to buying another jar and using this in milkshakes, muffins and supposed I will have to share!

If you are looking for a healthy & wholesome veggie spread that isn't full of additives & refined sugar & a great tasty option, than VGood HazelNOT Choc is THE product for you! We found the spread had the perfect level of sweetness & tasted decadent & moreish! It's so refreshing to know we have found a safe & healthy sweet spread that will definitely replace the sugar laden products that we have purchased previously. We will use as a snack, in lunchboxes & for baking & will try to refrain from eating straight from the jar which by the way is a great size!

It’s a better alternative for a hazelnut spread, a healthier option and definitely will be on my shopping list on my next trip. My daughter loves it.

We first tried Vgood HazelNOT choc spread for the same reason we tried the peaNOT butter spread - to keep my son's classmate safe. We weren't sure whether he is allergic to just peanuts or nuts so better to err on the side of caution. Its just as tasty as Nutella and I love that there isn't palm oil, the sugar content is lower and, of course, no nuts. The test will be whether it works as an equivalent substitute in my cheat mug cake recipes!

The HazelNOT spread is my personal favourite. I was very happy to give my kids this in their lunchbox as I know it wouldnt be a problem with the teachers. So happy we found something else to go in sandwiches that my kids eat. I also used it cooking to make protein balls... worked so well. My whole gave it the tick of approval. It’s a slightly “naughtier” option but the quality and nutritional factors of this spread are healthy compared to its competitor, Nutella. We love it

This is such a great substitute, can hardly tell the difference. I will be changing to buying this product over the sugary version. Also works great in backing and making bliss balls

I bought a jar to try as my primary kids love Nutella but cannot have it at school due to allergic students in class. No going back now, this taste chocalty and nutty with no nuts in sight. They were so happy to have it at school on their lunches. Win win

We loved this product. It was far less sweet than the main brand names. It was thicker in substance and less messy. Kids enjoyed the taste and as they have a nut free school policy meant they could take this to school. It was great on toast but had many different uses. We would add to our regular shop list.

This tastes EXACTLY like nutella and it is to die for my son and daughter both absolutely love this and I love it on toast it is a perfect addition to a family with allergies and I will definitely be buying more thank you so much Vgood!!!!

This has become a great product in our household. The kids enjoy the taste and can enjoy it in their lunchboxes safely at school. I like the 5 star health rating, made from chickpeas and that it is free from common allergens. Oh this is so tasty, so much nice than the usual standard, much less sweet which I like as I’m not a huge chocolate fan. Safe and yummy, of course it’s a hit with the toddler and his lunchbox, some mums have already asked me where they can get this and if it’s any good, on to a winner already

I very rarely give my kids Nutella but with HazelNOT Choc, I have no problems giving it to them for breakfast or lunch! It tastes so good and not very sweet. The chickpea flavour is there but barely noticeable. I suppose the cocoa hides it a bit. All my 3 boys love it and I don’t feel bad giving it to them either! Win win for all! Only thing is it’s a little tricky to spread on fresh soft bread as it kind of pulls on the bread and makes holes in the slice of bread. But the kids don’t care, so it’s still a win!

This has become part of our morning breakfast and a family favorite too. Very fine texture and easy to spread. Nice substitute for chocolate while you are craving for one. Easy and fun stuff to add to kids lunch box. Definitely recommend this to all mums out there. My daughter enjoys her toast or muffin while I add a dash of this marvelous spread.

This is such a yummy product, surprised how much I enjoyed this. My son didn't enjoy it though but he doesn't like chocolate to start with. Hubby though it was great. Great subitute for cooking and bliss balls.

I was very surprised with how much VGood HazelNOT Choc actually tasted like regular peanut butter. It was very tasty and the kids happily had it as a substitute. and best of all the school approved!

Hazelnut taste isn’t my thing and I have never actually bought my children Nutella before, but they thought this stuff was great. We don’t eat much bread so I gave them some as a dip with apple slices and they loved it. I will be buying this again.

I really loved testing these nut free spreads! My children’s were especially excited that they had something different and delicious in there sandwich besides ham and salad and when I’m busy... honey or vegemite! I also tested the hazelnot spread for a substitute in bliss balls that I make and I was so happy I did, they tasted so good! I also love the fact that these spreads contain less sugar than other peanut butter and hazelnut spreads so that is also an added bonus. Thank you for letting my test these products! I’m converted!

My kids came home from school raving about how much they loved these spreads! They were very excited about being able to take a hazelnut spread to school that wouldn't harm any of their friends with nut allergies. We will definitely be buying more of these, it's a fantastic alternative to nut spreads.

This was actually nice tried it in an effort to be more healthy and actually swapped it for nutella for my kids and they hardly noticed and I felt healthy eating it. I WILL buy it again and also use it in my Nutella cake mix to see how it goes. I thought vegan food was tatsteless but this us far from that.

Occasionally we would buy Hazelnut spreads as a special treat for the kids, this term their school announced they can no longer have peanut butter or hazelnut spreads. Over the last week we were given the opportunity to try the VGood Co HazelNOT spread and I must say it's been a hit and my son has asked to have it on his lunch nearly every day. It's a healthier option and the stickers for their lunchboxes make it great for them to have it on their lunches, they even have people asking where they can buy the products from. The HazelNOT spread is a little harder to spread but it's still delicious and our little family recommend it for a healthier allergen free option.

This amazing product not only a safe healthy alternative big hit with the family even the baby loved it and mum thought i was the best being less sugar for the big kids and even better a healthy yummy safe treat for school i know what we will be switching to only problem is i hope it lasts because its been a hit

Its one of the very healthy breakfast or lunch box recipes.. i would definetly recommend this to my friends and family not only to allergen people but also other .... It also tastes delicious .... We are all in love with this taste... we will defenitely buy the product again and continue :) :) This product is worth a try.... Not to forget to mention about the vege chips i got in my package ... This chocolate spread is delicious! My kids eat it out of the jar and it reminds them of Ferrero chocolates! Definitely a great alternative for school lunches and an afternoon snack. Awesome for those with nut allergies and nut aware places like school and parties.

Just gorgeous, such a wonderful replacement for Nutella. My family, including myself, are huge Nutella fans. What I love the most, there's a couple of things actually, is the reduced sugar. We consume way too much processed sugar these days, its in everything! So I love that. But I also love the use of chickpeas, health wise there are so many benefits of eating chickpeas. This is so easy to spread and tastes so chocolatey, I was so surprised. There's is a slight flavour difference that doesn't take long to adjust to. I just love it and regularly have it on my shopping list to replace an empty jar. Ive recommended to many friends and quite a few have purchased

These products were probably one of my favourite to review I thought it was a great idea as we use peanut butter a lot but aren’t allowed to take it to school. We used it in smoothies toast crackers and cookies to name a few

Ok so this is totally a win for our family. Little miss 8 who can sometimes be fussy loves this, so much so I caught her In the pantry eating it out the jar lol. Mr 13 also enjoyed and so did miss 3. I feel better about being able to give them a healthier option and being able to take it to school is a bonus. Another option to put on sandwiches is also a win

We tried these delicious goodies kindly sent by for trial. These chickpea based spreads are so tasty and even my kid’s loved it. Its good for their lunch boxes and something Mummy approves as its has iron, fibre and protein. The chocolate spread is my all favorite in my brekky sandwich. The best thing is its gluten free and Nut free. Definitely a healthier choice for my family. Do give it a try and you will love it.

This spread was a huge winner in my family and my kids have been asking for it in the sandwiches and on their toast in the morning all week. I love that it’s actually a healthy alternative to Nutella! I make protein bliss balls the spread, substituting it with peanut butter they had on the recipe and they were so much more delicious that what I have made in the past! I’m also very happy I can send my kids to school with this spread in the sandwiches, being a nit free spread!

The colour is very inviting to eat. I’m amazed how it really look like a hazelnut spread. It has a very thick texture so it’s quite effort to spread on bread. I think this is best to be a filling in donuts and buns with its texture. As for taste, it taste more of cocoa than hazelnut but it tastes good! Whole family love it!

Great option for nut allergic kids who miss out on Nutella. Similar taste but definitely don't pile it on as thick as Nutella, it's too rich for that. Also nice with strawberries or bananas added to it.

My daughter loved the HazelNot as a dip and on wraps and sandwiches mixed together with the PeaNot butter. It was a winner for her. Her school and after school care are nut free, so this gives us another sandwich option. Easy to spread and no horrible after taste that other brand have. My son liked his on his strawberries.

The kids weren’t keen on this one but they have it and eat it if I give it to them on chocolate pizza with strawberries as a dessert. I however really enjoyed this product!

Most importantly, my kids loved the taste of VGood HazelNOT Choc Spread, but I loved that it was palm oil & nut free. Nutella is banned in our house because of it’s use of palm oil, so it’s great to have an alternative that the kids love too!

The taste is exactly like a chocolate spread with a wholesome feeling which I like. I throughly enjoyed the taste with a banana on my favourite toasted seed bread for breakfast. With the main ingredient being roasted chickpeas it really is a healthy spread. I will buy this nut free chocolate spread again.

Love it so much that I have to have it in every meal. It provides a taste sensation that feels like I’m having a party in my mouth. In fact I dream about it overnight and crave it as soon as I wake in the morning. The person who invented this deserves a Nobel Peace prize as I use it as a reward whenever there is a dispute at home. No one wants to misbehave and jeopardise the opportunity to get it.

Missed the video,but when my youngest saw the HazelNOT spread, his words was " mmmm... chocolate spread, just like Billy's!" He was so happy! I would recommend the HazelNOT to all my friends aspecially for their kids lunchbox.

When we first tried hazelnot spread you could definitely tell that there was less sugar. It grew on us over time and it actually quiet pleasant on toast. I feel better eating it knowing it has 5 star health rating, opposed to other really high sugar choc spreads. It’s a plus that I can send the kids to school with it in there sandwiches and not have to worry about other children’s allergies. I would probably buy it again if it was a reasonable price and I’d recommend it to my friends with kids who have Allergies.

Loved both hazelnot and peanot butter, could taste the chickpeas in peanot, smooth loved it on toast also the Hazel not choc tasty. The chic pea twist so tasty and crunchy

I think this is a great healthy alternative for my children’s lunchbox. My daughter enjoyed it in her sandwich at school. It is however quite hard to spread as it’s so thick. I love the fact it’s low in sugar and has no nasties in it, it’s also gluten free which is an added bonus!

My ten yr old really liked the Hazelnoy flavour and could easily spread it on whole meal bread for her school lunches. It tastes very healthy and has a good amount of hazelnut flavour without the added preservatives and sugar.

Safe alternative to Nutella, less sugar and much healthier alternative for my family. It is hard to believe it is made of dry roasted chickpeas, the natural cocoa flavour gives the taste of chocolate without all the added sugar in traditional Nutella which makes it much healthier. I love that it is a pantry item I can keep in my classroom for my special need students with nut allergies. Safer, tastier, healthier and convenient option for a snack inside and outside school.

Love the idea of this but unfortunately my children did not enjoy the taste and it’s very hard to spread.

My daughter is HUGE nutella fan but because my son has a nut allergy it's not very often its in the house so we were eager to try this. Texture was great but the taste just wasn't quite right. I've given this a good review as I thinks its a great alternative to nut spreads but sadly it's not something that we would buy again. I highly recommend trying it as everyone's tastebuds are different.

Sugar content is still high compared to what my children have. The fact that their sister can try it because it is nut free is the winning factor. Everyone is loving the flavour of VGood HazelNOT Choc spread as now can use it in cooking without worrying about the effect. The school still has banned it as they need to find out for themselves if it is safe. So for now it is for now not going to school. Yet they accept the PeaNot spread.

I liked Hazelnot. It was easy to spread on toast or for the school lunches. Tasty on rice thins too. A nice treat without all the added sugar and preservatives.

This product definitely tastes healthier than Nutella and I would be happy to have my children eat this but they don’t really like the taste much - they say they can taste chickpea. I tend to agree but I don’t mind the flavour myself. My daughter is not allergic to hazelnut so she’s been allowed to have Nutella and can make the comparison with HazelNOT Choc. Also not having enough stickers to cover the lunchboxes for my children meant that only one could take it to school at a time and I didn’t bother with the hassle of explaining to teachers so I just gave it to them for breakfast instead. Not as sweet as I expected but the kids love it.

Found I didn’t like this product as much as the PeaNOT butter. Very dark chocolate flavour with undertones of peanut butter taste. Was expecting it to be more Nutella tasting than it was. Consistency was softer but still not ‘spreadable’ for fresh bread without ripping holes in it. Great alternative for a nut free choice but this one is not for my family. Great to see nut free products around for schools though.

Myself and my children did not enjoy the taste of this product. I think it’s a great idea and would recommend it to anyone that has children with nut allergies. It was also very hard to spread

The idea is good, and it does taste like hazelnut, but it isn’t sweet enough.

Unfortunately the flavours were so bitter that kids brought their lunch home. I loved the idea of this product but the taste definitely let us down

I'm sorry, but I have to be honest, my kids didn't like this one at all, so I tried it and also was not a fan of it. It was very dry and tasted more like bad peanut butter, left a terrible taste in your mouth. However, before trying it, it did smell good, but did not deliver on taste nor texture unfortunately.
