Review: SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen

Sunsense products are fantastic! They're easy to apply and don't leave a greasy, shiney feeling. They're long lasting so while re application is still recommended, it's not needed as often as with other sun safe products. It's SPF50, the best level of sun protection. There are so many ways to apply it, roll on and spray make it easy for the kids. There's also bottles and a pump pack for economical use and a handy tube to carry around in your bag or glovebox so you always have it on hand

My GP recommended using sunsense........ what more can I say :) I'm going to buy this today and will review the effects in the coming days. HAPPY SUMMERS !! happy family !! happy baby !! yeyyy

Sun sense ultra SPF 50+ is great for the whole family! The large pump bottle makes it convenient and great value. I was impressed with the coverage it provided and the consistency, not too thick not too thin, easy to apply consistency. Make sure you follow the instructions of staying dry for 15 mins after applying, as it stings your eyes!

The SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen is a great product in so many ways. Firstly the different sizes it comes in is so convenient, a roll on for the handbag, 200gm tube for the glovebox, up to the large pump pack. Easy to apply, kids can do their own. I found you don\'t need as much sunscreen as some brands to cover yourselves, so it is economical. It doesn\'t irritate the skin, absorbs well, not sticky or greasy like some other brands. This product will be on my summer shopping list.

The Sunsense Ultra SPF 50+ sunscreen is easy to apply and fit for for all skin types of the family. We place the pack on the console table near entrance so we can all protect our skin before we leave home, and it works!

I'm very impressed with SunSense Ultra SPF 50+. It offers the maximum UV sun protection for me and my young family while the family 500ml pump pack is very economical. You only need a small amount of cream and you know that it is protecting your skin from harmful rays. I find the pump very easy to use and even my young kids can apply it themselves. This packaging is easy for the adults and kids to use with a handy pump pack. With a great texture, it gives great coverage and easy to rub into the skin. I have very fair skin that burns easily and loved that it worked better than any other sunscreen on the market that I have used. I will definitely be buying a replacement bottle when this one runs out and recommending it to everyone I know.

I love this product to protect my family! It comes in convenient sizes, easy to use packaging and it isn't too greasy on the skin! I used this even on my toddler with no skin irritation! I love how its quite water resistant and keeps my family protected even under out harsh aussie sun! I love that you can buy this product almost anywhere and it has a higher SPF than many others on the market! It also doesn't leave your skin shiny or white! My daughter has it on in the picture ready to go outside, think we will need to reapply after we wipe her chin!

Sunscreen is very important in our family. We live near the beach so we are always going in the water. The SunSense Ultra sunscreen is so easy to apply, and you aren't left with that awful sticky feeling afterwards. Having a young son, he always had a separate sunscreen to me and his Dad. So that meant numerous types of sunscreen in our cupboard, and obviously more dollars spent. But this product is suitable for the whole family so I no longer need to purchase two or three different types of sunscreen. I can really recommend this product and will definitely be purchasing it in future.

Living near the beach in a small coastal town is hard to come by a Sunscreen that genuinely works. SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ is a great compact product, with a easy applicable base, smoothly runs over the skin, Made and tested in AUSTRALIA, great for the whole family especially those of us that burn quicker than the others, and is still protective whilst in the water.

I like Sun Sense ultra SPF 50+ as it is the easiest to use with the roll on and the pump pack, and don't forget the trigger pack, i especially like the roll on for the smaller children, they can take them to school and apply when needed at sports carnivals, swimming carnivals or just at lunch, being a compact size they don't take up much space in their bag, and being waterproof for 3 hours its perfect when we go to the beach or swimming pool, i would recommend and will always use Sun Sense ultra SPF 50+ unless they come up with a higher SPF rated product, then i would go for that one.

It's coming to that time of year when it warms up and we go outside more. Having had skin cancer I'm very aware of the importance of skin protection. SkinSense is easy to use and comes in a range of sizes and types to suit everyone. I find the spray bottle easiest to use but I guess that's just personal preference. Make sure you toss out old sunscreen that has gone past its use date and protect yourself.

I didn't get to review this but it's the only sunscreen I purchase for my family it's gives awesome protection easy to use and apply and il keep buying it for my family

For the past 2 weeks we've had our kids on the beach in Bali - literally for as many hours as the sun was shining we were out and about. Have to say taking the family sized pump pack we received to review with us was a blessing. Even our youngest could dispense by himself without making a massive mess. The smell was light and the texture was perfect for getting a good, even coverage all over all of us!

My family and i have very fair skin and with the 50 plus i know we are all well protected. My kids loved how quickly it soaked in there skin and how easy it was to apply Will buy in the future

I love using my sun sense SPF50 sunscreen & Bella 7 does too.She applies it herself before school or going out.I'm 48 & have had many years sun exposure so I find it important to try to look after my skin & with melanoma in the family a SPF 50 is essential.Thank you so much for the opportunity to try this wonderful sunscreen.

At first I was so so so scared to use any sunscreen on my baby. I specifically asked my General Practitioner which sunscreen should we use for our baby. He recommended banana boats or sunsense. I'm so glad I tried this. Its working perfectly well for my baby. There have been no adverse affects on his skin. I dont apply it daily though...but yes when we take him for a swim, then definitely...even though the pool is covered. I'm satisfied with this.

Sunsense spf50+ is great for me. I'm now applying this daily before leaving home. Even on weekends when we plan to go swimming, I make sure I apply this evenly and generously all over the body. It is till now preventing any tans on my body. My husband gets a weird irritation on the neck when in sun..we tried this for him as well. Hubby's getting comfy now with sunsense ON. Going perfect till now.

The SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen is a great product perfect for the whole family. The pump is very easy to use for both adults and the little ones and the bottle is very cleanly designed - no mess in the car on the way to the beach or in the swim bag. With a family prone to severe sunburn, the 50+ protection was long lasting and kept my little family burn free for the duration of our swim and after, which is saying a lot considering some other sunscreens wash off easily or wear off quickly. I would confidently recommend this product and consider this sunscreen to be a vital part in any household.

I've started using sunSense for my baby..7 months old. I could actually see that it is water resistant, as we took him to the pool for sometime. It is fragrance free and very smooth on the skin. Perfectly alright for the little one. I checked with my GP after its application also, to know what are the side effects of ANY sunscreen. I couldnt find any similar side effect with sunsense. Recommended !

YES..you read it right. I'm a QV fan...and now Ego does it again.... i just bought the 500ml pump sunsense SPF50+ ...I applied it right after purchasing and after 20 mins in the mall, walked back home in the sun..... I did sweat but I'm not itchy on the face . Will use regularly for the next couple of days too...... looks to be a good start. BIngo and once I've tested on myself.... bub will also be applying this :)

The consistency of SunSense ultra SPF 50+ makes it great to apply on children and see that they are properly covered. I used this product on a dozen 8 - 10 year old girls at a netball carnival on a very hot day with great results.

Remember to toss out any old sunscreen that is out of date as it won't be affective. I trust SunSense to protect my family. I've had a melanoma so it's important to me to have good protection.

SunSense has a great range of sunscreens to suit everyone. It's good to have the larger pump bottle for the family and handy to have the smaller roll on in your bag as a back up. Good product provides high protection at 50+ SPF and can be easily purchased at most pharmacies.

Comes in a variety of sizes to suit everyone so you can tuck a small one away in your bag just in case you need it. I prefer the larger size to suit the family. It doesn't have a fragrance so that is a bonus. The cream goes in well and it is easy to use.

Having had melenoma as a child I am very particular about suncare. I love the fact that SunSense is 50+ that gives me confidence that it is safe. It's easy to apply (spray bottle) and absorbs into your skin easily. It comes in a variety of sizes to suit everyone.

This is the only brand I trust for my family to use. The roll on is handy for your bag for quick and easy application especially on the children. We used this in Queensland just recently as we are from Melbourne - typically the Queensland weather is stronger than we are used to. Provided we used followed the Application instructions we did not have any issues. Not too greasy either and quite easy to rub in.

I tried it the first time as a giveaway at a ZOORUN fundraiser. So glad for that sample! I will never purchase generic sunscreen again. SunSense really works. SunSense is non greasy and does what it promises. Protects you from harmful rays and 3 hours protection in the water!

My daughter had sunscreen on her school book list. We handed the order to the newsagent so they picked the items and this was the sunscreen that they gave to her. She used it for her swimming and she never got burnt which i was really impressed about. This is not a brand that i would usually pick but i was really happy and satisfied with the product quality. This is our "go to" for sunscreen. It protects us so well and doesn't leave us feeling greasy. The pump pack makes it easy for my 4 year old to apply her own. It's sensitive enough for my 2 year old with eczema and it doesn't make her skin flair up. After having a melanoma removed 2 years ago quality sunscreen is a must for us.

Absolutely love this sunscreen. Easy to apply. Available it different sizes including roll on however the family size is great value for money. Doesn't leave the thick feeling of sunscreen once it's applied. But be weary make sure it's applied to dry skin as if it gets in the eyes it can sting.

Does exactly what is says it will. We've spent many days in the past couple of weeks at the beach and Theme parks - each time using this product. Its not heavy to wear, its not thick and its not greasy. Provides excellent coverage. Not one of us got sunburnt. A permanent addition to the 'beach bag' Very happy, and would definitely buy again.

This is the fist time I have brought a pump one before and I don't know why I have not purchased one before. It makes it so easy as I can leave it by the door and before we go out we just apply the sunscreen and it is simple. No caps to loose and no messy tops. It feels like a thick layer of sunscreen so hopefully the sun will not penetrate through in the hottest part of the summer. so far so good!

We found the product easy to use. It wasn't greasy and the pump bottle made it easy to use as we were walking out the door. My son has eczema and is very fair skinned and i found that this sunscreen did not irritate his skin and offered great protection for a long period of time. I would highly recommend this product and will look to buying it when this bottle runs out!

As a Mum of two children who love to be outdoors. I found this sunscreen to be a great product, from the protection of 50+, the easy to use pump pack, easy to apply & spread over the skin, the fact that it's fragrance free is great. No sunburnt bodies is this household anymore!

Great product suitable for the entire family and provides broad spectrum protection. If you're using it for the face, we found this product to be suitable for any type of skins. SunSense SFP 50 is also water resistant, although, may require more frequent application, especially, on the face. SunSense SPF 50 is a good option for day to day use but for swimming or exercising outdoors, it needs to be apply regularly. The children really liked the texture because it was not too thick and greasy. This sunscreen goes the distance in terms of providing broad-spectrum sunscreen protection; a high SPF rating make it one you'll actually wear and apply literally every day in summer. I highly recommend this product.

I've often used the Sunsense brand of sunscreen and have found it always protects my family and we don't end up like lobsters. I was a little disappointed to read the Choice review of 50+spf products as this brand only just slipped through but was quite under the advertised rating. It won't deter me as used it so often before

It's a given that applying suncream to my two kid is an ordeal! No one wants to apply it, no one wants any part of the process however I must say this time round using these products the process was actually a reasonably pleasant experience. It smells good, works well and no one got burnt! I would highly rate them and most defiantly purchase any of the range.

I did not get selected for this review however I HAVE USED this product and found it to be excellent. It is extremely easy to apply and lasts quite well Of course you have to re apply if you have been in swimming as you do with all other sun screens but this stays a bit longer than others I have tried in the past. I would recommend it to mums of young families as it is not that expensive and quite affordable in fact I have not been selected for a mom review for ages probably because I do not have any young kids at home now they are all adults with their own kids but I am quite happy to do this.

Its a great sunscreen lotion, its not greasy, and is easy to apply. I felt comfortable applying it to both myself and my 18 month old son which is an absolute necessity. We have used it on numerous occasions in the hot Queensland sun and not one of us have been sunburned. The smell is not overpowering so it doesn't make me ill as a lot of sunscreens do. Overall i would definitely recommend buying this to my friends and family, and strangers! And will be buying it myself when our supply runs out :)

We have tried lots of different sunscreens and stumbled across this one day, it is great it's a great price, is super easy to apply unlike some other brands and has a really high spf rating which is the most important thing. It lasted well with swimming I would highly recommend to anyone. After convincing friends and family to try it out they are all on board, we will def buy the sunscreen again and I cannot wait to try other products in the brand. Also work noting for me I tend to avoid putting sunscreen on my face as it gives me pimples this didn't do this which was fantastic as it meant my face didn't get burnt

Spf+30 is extremely important to not only myself but my entire family. The pump made it easy to apply for all ages and the product itself is just so easy to use. You really know you are getting the best protection against Australia's heat and extreme sun rays and that is what really counts.

I love SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen. Applying sunscreen is such an important part of our routine in Summer and SunSense makes using sunscreen so easy. I especially like the roll on as it's easy to apply and less messy. My kids are able to use it themselves with minimal mess which is a real bonus. I love the texture of this sunscreen and it is not greasy. The pump pack makes it easy and quicker for everyone to use . The fact that it is SPF 50+ and made and tested in Australia will make me buy this again and again in the future.

I did not get picked for the review but I have been using sunsence for over 5 years now and just love it.. not only does it cut the uv rays and also keep skinsafe and moist, does not dry the skin

First and foremost other than sun protection is that the product can not have too strong of a scent. Being a migraine sufferer this is a big plus. The kids (ages 5 & 6) with some help could apply this sunscreen. I like the pump bottle but I think next time I purchase it I will opt for the spray on version for ease of use. Another great plus is that it for the whole family so that I don't have to carry separate sunscreens for the kids and adults.

Loved the pump pack, easy to apply to squirming kiddies. It didnt have too strong of a smell so loved that as well. Loved that it was 50 plus protection as we all have fair skin in our family and with 2 little ones with sensitive skin i was more than happy that it was tested for that as well. Its stayed on the kids for hours, didnt cause any rash or itchy skin and was even easy to re-apply after they had been in the water.

This sunscreen really was easy to apply and easy to use. The pump pack meant I could quickly pump and then rub it on to my little one before he managed to escape. The sunscreen didn't seem to bother him either. It was almost like it wasn't there. The pleasant smell meant I could forget about it. So often sunscreens have overpowering scents that you can't escape. I didn't even smell this once it was absorbed. Most sunscreens feel really slimy once applied but this was different. I was even able to apply makeup over it and I didn't look greasy.

I was thrilled to be selected to review this product. I found the packaging and logo to be very clear and the information on the bottle easy to read, as well I loved the texture of SunSense. Easy to apply on the family and great fresh smell. I would buy this again and would certainly recommend it to my friends and their families

I have used SunSense tint on my face and neck for quite a while when I decided to buy the sunscreen range for the family. What can I say? So much better than Banana Boat and even Cancer Council sunscreens. I cannot find a single fault with this product and it is a reasonable price. I keep the roll on in my child's school bag, so handy!

I use other products from the same company such as QV wash and cream, as they don't irritate my sensitive skin. I was happy to see they had sunscreen as well. I've found it great for the whole family and have now started using the daily face (pictured) for when I go to work. No problems with my skin and it feels natural. Will keep on buying.

I have a pump in the laundry so as a visual reminder for me to put the sunscreen protection on prior t me going out side and I put a small one in my hand bag so I can reapply during the day. I am especially careful especially given that I had some treatment for my face.

Sunsense comes in a convenient pump that is easy to use for the whole family. The lotion comes out in a great textron that is non-greasy and not too thick or watery. The scent is not overpowering and is gentle enough to use on my daughter that has sensitive skin. The protection is very good. I would recommend this lotion to others.

When I first applied the Sun Sense Ultra SPF 50+ on my daughter the 1st thing she said it was not sticky. I found it easy to apply by having it in a pump pack and it was easy to rub in, it wasn't to thick and sticky and once it was all adsorbed you didn't really know you had any sunscreen on there wasn't that oily after feel and look. By having the 50+ made me feel more comfortable on sending my kids out to play knowing they will be protected for the harsh sun.

Loved the great big pack size, we go through loads of sunscreen so it was great to not use the whole lot in just one trip to the beach. The consistency wasn't too thick, so it was easy to apply, but thick enough that you felt protected. It was great on the kids skin (and I have a sensitive skin boy). Would definitely recommend and buy again.

I tried this sunscreen because of MOM. I love that's it is SPF 50+. Where we live in summer it is hot hot hot. Often above 40 deg with very high UV rays. The SPF 50+ give that extra protection that is needed. I prefer the trigger pack as I find it quicker to do all 4 kids but it is easy to apply with the pump pack as well. This will be our sunscreen of choice from now on.

The SunSense ultra pump pack looks great and was so easy to use. It was much thinner than sunscreen I have used before even though it is 50+. This made it really easy to rub in and didn't leave me with greasy hands. Even my 2 and 5 year old could easily rub it in. I love that it is made and tested in Australia! I also love that there is many ways it comes. The pump will be great for home and rollon is great for a handbag or school bag. Will definitely use again!

My family uses sunsense alot, with 2 active children god knows we need it. We tend to sway more towards the the spray pump as its easier to apply. I was really relieved to see my sons preschool uses it aswell for the children playing outdoors.

Ego sun products have been a staple with us for many years. to have an extra sunscreen choice has made this brand even more appealing.

I really loved the pump pack, it was easy for the kids to apply, and to reapply. Two of my girls have sensitive skin and this product didn't cause any issues for them, and I like that it doesn't seem to have much of a fragrance. I love the SunSense sunscreen! This is a fantastic Australian product. The SPF 50+ worked great on mine and the kids sensitive skin. I was really happy with the amount of sun protection I got compared to other sunscreens I have used in the past. I would definately recommend it to my friends and family and I will defiantly be purchasing SunSense in the future as after testing it, I have full confidence on how well it works.

I know that with the 50+ protection my family will not be burnt or blistered my son has fair skin and it is important to wear sunscreen preferable 50+ sun sense as I know I\'m giving my family great protection against the sun. We are an extremely pale family with sensitive skin, who also have a history of melanoma on both sides, so (as you can see from my photos) we are slightly paranoid about sun protection. I was impressed that this product was 50plus for our fair skin, and dermalogically tested for our kids with sensitive skin. I was a little apprehensive using it on my little ones as I had only ever used "baby" sunscreen on them before, however they / their skin had absolutely no issues with it at all. I also loved the fact that there was less preservatives in this sunscreen than others, even less than other baby sunscreens. I also loved that it was made and tested in Australia. The sunscreen went on quite easily but is a little thicker / more visible on the skin than other sunscreens, so we looked a little bit too white until it sunk in. That said, once it soaked into the skin it was so much less sticky than other "non-greasy" brands. My only slightly negative comment was that the pump pack could not close. On other brands the pump can be opened and closed, making it able to take to the park, pool or beach, however this one stayed open at all times. Overall a great product!

Having a high SPF rating is important especially with a small child. This product is easy to apply and not greasy like other sunscreens. I find I don't have to reapply as often as others. I love the full range and I would recommend this to others with families and it's great value for money.

With our family having very fair skin effective protection from the sun is really important to enjoying our outdoor activities. Sunsense is easy to apply & we love that it is fragrance free & water resistant. We have the pump at home & always carry an extra tube in our sports bag.

We live 5 minutes walk from the beach in Perth and love the outdoors....SunSense Ultra Roll On is a permanent fixture in the nappy bag and is easy to apply on my 17 month old little man. The pump pack lives on top of the fridge and all of us give it a quick pump prior to going outside. I'm big on gardening and my face gets quite sweaty, and love the fact the sunscreen doesn't run into my eyes and leave me reaching for a towel with grotty gardening gloves

I didn't get selected for a review, but as we are fanatical about sunscreen, and have many varieties in our house I thought that I'd review this one anyway. Spf 50+ is the best and only sunscreen to have when you're outdoors all day. Especially if you have young kids with sensitive skin. The pump pack makes it easy to apply (except when you get to the end of the bottle), and I love that it comes in a range of different size packs to suit all needs.

I was chosen to participate in the review of the sunsense ultra spf 50+ sunscreen. I was really interested in trialing the product as my youngest has reacted to many other brands previously. My older 2 children used the product with ease although we did find it a little greasy in comparison to what we were previously using. My youngest however, did unfortunately have a reaction. All in all the product was up there with what we have previously used. Id give it an 8/10 for ease of use and texture and would recommend to other parents who do not have to worry about allergies

Every morning without fail I put my SunSense Ultra SPF50+ sunscreen on before I step outside. I have one large pump dispenser in the laundry and I small squeeze tube in my bag. It offers excellent high sun protection with three hours water resistance. It is an idea sunscreen for me to use as it helps protect against sunburn and skin ageing.

We are an out-n-about family, mucking around in the garden, yard & parks regularly throughout the week. Adding Sunsense Ultra 50+ to our sunscreen routine was an easy sub, the pump pack made it easy to get a good amount quickly & easily. The sunscreen rubbed in well and didn't irritate my daughters (2 & 4) or myself. It seemed to last all day, which was the best aspect. I wouldn't say it was unbelievably better than our regular sunscreen choices, but I would certainly get it again if it was competitively priced.

Thank you for allowing my family to trial Sunsense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen. We have just returned from a weekend away at the V8 Supercars ... it was hot & there was no sun protection where we were positioned. Sunsense was our life saver. I'm a big fan of the sunscreen but not a huge fan of the pump nozzle - as an on the go family we just need something easier to seal/close. Thanks again ... I'll definitely purchase the product again, just in a different package.

I have alredey tried the tinted sheer sunscreen of sunsense but i didnt feel it to b sheer enough to be worn under makeup so wanted yo try spf as my skincare routine rather than something related to makup... it appears 5o be very good for ur health... longterm effects...

Easy to use even my kids wanted to put it on without me nagging them to.My children weren't fussed on the smell though and was slightly difficult to rub in especially on my hubby's hairy arms.Worked very well and everyone was happy to reapply after 4 hours.Everybody very happy to use it daily and we will continue to buy it after this trial

I bought SunSense when I saw it on special and wanted to stock up for the summer to keep the whole family protected, and wow we've used it a lot this summer!! I found it provided a good level of protection. However it was pretty greasy after repeat applications. Otherwise, great product!

While the pump Pack for SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen is great, I really like the roll on version. I find that it's even easier to apply as my toddler who insists on helping so the roll on minimises the mess and gives him a certain amount of autonomy. The product itself is easy to rub in and isn't greasy. The 50+ rating is important to me too so SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen is perfect for our family.

Living in Queensland it is so important as a mother to make sure my boys are well covered out and about! A good sunscreen is an absolute must! Sun sense is a great trusted brand, one that I would definitely recommend!

For a while now I have used SunSense products to protect my family. I love the range available which makes it suitable for the whole family. It's easy to apply and offers great protection. It's also great for my, and little one's, sensitive skin as it is fragrance free. My only criticism is that I don't feel it offers the level of protection it advises so I always reapply more often than recommended.

I bought this in the small 125ml bottle as wanted to try it before I bought the larger size. was plesantly suprised. Its the perfect subnscreen for the whole family as its got no fragrance and very high sun protection even in water. Lastly really well and provides good sun protection. Is milky white in colour easy to apply does have a greasy after feel so use it for days when you need really high sun protection like at the beach or on a outdoors all day picnic

I use SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ Sunscreen every day, I have a large on in the laundry so I remember to put it on each day and I have a tub in my purse. I find it awesome and I would highly recommend it. It does sting your eyes when you sweat.

Sun Sense Ultra SPF 50+ applied easily and was not greasy or too thick whilst still having the benefit of 50+ protection. In the past we have used a 1 L tub in similar packaging with pump and I liked that this 500mL is still a great size to carry around without being too heavy. The only recommendation I would have to improve it is a lock on the pump as I had some leak in my car and nappy bag. Otherwise it is a great product.

No reaction worked well

This sunscreen has protected both of my children and myself in very humid, hot weather. The Suns rays are so strong and fierce, it's amazing how easily we can burn in the summer weather. I like to use the pump cream as a base and then when I reapply I like to use the roll on one. It's 50+ which is the highest that I have seen for coverage in a sunscreen. You want to be able to trust that your skin and your family's skin is protected and this is definitely the product.

Really liked the pump pack for all the family to +use and was very happy with the 50+ protection. Unlike other sunsense products we have used, this one was much thicker and a bit harder to apply and rub in. Our son has very fair skin and the fact that he didn't get burnt after spending significant amounts of time outside, shows that the product does work.

I have seen a lot of dud pumps out there for sunscreen and wanted to see how this one compares! The pump was always effective and never clogged up even if it got full of sand at the beach!

I was at a friends house for the day and as I have had a basal cell carcinoma removed previously I am even more careful of the suns rays. We spent quite a while outside but seeing how she had plenty of sunscreen on hand I was not overly concerned. She had the 500ml pump bottle of SunSense Ultra 50+ and I found this sunscreen pleasant to use. The pump dispensed adequate amounts, enough to rub into the skin and I found it did rub in well, without an overpowering fragrance. She also had a tube of Ego SunSense SPF 50+ daily face cream, its a moisturising SPF50+ broadspectrum sunscreen for the face and neck and it is light and soft on the skin, it has an oil free base and a sheer tint and it gave a nice matt glow. I did find these products wonderful how ever seeing how we own a pool and go through huge amounts of sunscreen I prefer my regular Cancer Council Brand. Cancer Council also have a 1 ltr pump container and it is very economical. Also I love the idea of supporting The Cancer Council and knowing that sales help fund cancer research, patient support and education and also the fact that I am more comfortable with a product from them.

I took my sun sense sample to a family bbq so we could all give it a try! The general consensus was that it was easy to use, and rubbed in well. Everyone that used it said they would use it again. The only negative is that it gave one of the babies a rash, but I would think that was a rare instance as the other babies did not react. I like how it is 50+ spf - that is a very big bonus for me as I am fair skinned! I also like the pump pack as its easy to use and great for families.

Easily adsorbed & great protection! I’m going to be honest that I purchased this as we were out and there were only two in the pump bottles to choose from (others were tubes, roll or spray). This happened to have the highest SPF protection. I was really happy with it. Not overly watery and greesy nor was it too thick and hard to absorb. I definitely would get this again. I only marked recommendations as a 3 as sunscreen is not something that comes up in conversation but I would be positive if it did.

A nice thick cream that covers well, with a small amount covering a good area and no greasy residue. The pump is a good design for home storage and easy usage but not so good for travel. Love the long lasting high protection of sun sense cream. It is also great on my sons sensitive skin.

Pump pack made product a little difficult to apply as a lot of sunscreen came out when you pressed the pump. I just wanted to apply to a small area and had a lot of product come out so had to wash it down th sink. Wears well under make up and blends easily. The pump design is good for keeping in the cupboard but quite messy (I imagine) taking to the beach etc. Scent was not unpleasant and caused no skin irritation.

While I liked this product insofar as its ease of use, and non-greasey feel or look, I still got sunburnt on my face having only been in the afternoon shade for 15 minutes. I have waited for a long time for 50+ sunscreens to come out (in the USA they talk about 70+ and we get sunburnt all the time, so I'm hoping this number in Australia increases too). I have also used the tinted sunscreen by SunSense, again 50+, but it doesn't really leave a visible tint, so for me, I still use a foundation over the top, as I was hoping the tint would mean I wouldn't have to use foundation for the summer! But like a lot of things, how or if this product works, depends on how it is used, as much as the user. My skin is pale, and I burn easily, so for me, this product sounded great in theory, it just hasn't worked as great as I thought it would.

This is a quality product, I love the spray on version.

I have been using SunSense Ultra SPF 50+ for a while now. Initially I used to use it every time my family and I would go to the beach. Soon after I used to apply it everyday (as outings were becoming more frequent and spontaneous). However, I noticed the product starts to flake off the skin and if your rub your arms or legs, you can see residues of the product. It does not rub in easily and smoothly. I will continue to use the pack till it is finished, however will definitely not buy it again.

After using the Sunsense Ultra SPF 50+ product on my three children (3yr daughter & 22mth sons) and myself for the last week and a half I have found the product to be easy to apply, non greasy and gives great protection from the sun. My daughter suffers from mild eczema and this product did not cause any flair ups. The pump pack is very handy, although the sunscreen is a little bit runnier than other products I have used. I would probably go with the spray bottle if I was to buy this product in the future as there would be less wastage (ie. Pumping out too much and then having to spread it all around). I found the product gentle enough even to use on the children's faces too.

This product has every type of bottle and container to suit the times you need it..the pump is a big bottle and lasts a long time..the tubes keep well when traveling..this sunscreen goes on really quick and easy but it is quite greasy before if soaks in..it's quite light in texture-more milky than other sunscreens and has a natural pleasant smell that's isn't not over bearing..

I think it would be hard for a child to apply this as it was sticky and didn't rub in easily even though it was good coverage lasted moderate amount of time before needing to reapply and didn't leave a smell like some creams.this wouldn't be on my top list of creams to use for my kids.even though it is for all the family as stated it would be good to include ages of children safe to use this product on the packaging as i didn't want to use it on my 13 month old as it didnt state that it was safe for babies.
