Omg... family fav in no time at all!
by yummymumCombined rating
Our family has a fav that I cook..... even my mum and nan love my family fav traditional dish and my whole family love that I cook so traditional and they all love it. My Irish Stew is a favourite and has been for many many years...... and I was thrilled that I could use the The Phillips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker to cook it. And it is so quick in the cooker and doesn't take many hours to cook. Just pop on pressure cook and it's done in no time at all! I love love love that I can cook our family favs and traditional dishes and I don't need to just learn new recipies. I love new recipies and trying new things but also want to cook all the recipies my family loves. And this cooker can do it all and fulfill all these needs! This make me very happy.... and I am so happy to have my slow cooked dishes done in the cooker on slow cook or done using pressure cook and it works either way. And I also get to try new things and stick to my family favs..... Can't be happier! And a happy family too!
Pulled pork!
by yummymumCombined rating
I tried out pulled pork using the pressure cooking setting.... I chopped up apples, onion, capsicum, garlic, then added chicken stock and rubbed pork with Mexican seasoning rub. I added it all to the cooked and pressure cooked it for 59mins. I have to say... melt in the mouth, falling apart, tender deliciousness! I mean, really?!! Pulled pork in an hour??!!! Can you believe that! I would have never have thought it but it was amazing! The Phillips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker Is amazing and really works to put delicious meals on the plate that are tasty and quick without sacrificing in anyway!
Slow cooked leg of lamb
by yummymumCombined rating
I tried a leg of lamb slow cooked with lots of Mediterranean inspired veg and flavours. Lots of garlic, onion, capsicum, herbs, a splash of chicken stock and olive oil. And slow cooked and to perfection! The meat was falling off the bone and had the most amazing sauce at the bottom. I served with mash and had lots of delicious lamb left to have for another dinner and lunches! What an amazing cooker! The most relish roast/pulled lamb. This cooker is a must.... and I even cooked this on a hot day and because the oven was not on the house did not heat up and we had a lovely warm dinner as the temps dropped that night..... how good is that!
Creamy Cheesy Mac n Cheese with bacon and spinach
by yummymumCombined rating
So I have experimented a bit and have found that some recipes can be tweaked and turned into family favs! I have taken the Carbonara Spaghetti recipie on page 31 in the recipie book and changed it to a Mac n Cheese recipe! So I followed the recipe, but used elbow pasta instead of spaghetti. (And I have tried a few other pasta shapes) And a splash more water. And when cooking time was finished I added a handful of tasty cheese and half a handful of Parmesan cheese. I also added torn up baby spinach. We all love the caborana..... but we also really really love our Mac n Cheese in our new cooker. I love that I can create new recipies in The Phillips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker. It is lots of fun experimenting, and being able to cook up a family fav in next to no time!
Wow! Wow! Wow!
by yummymumCombined rating
The Phillips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker Is such an excellent versatile cooker that is very easy to use. I have been testing it out, putting through its paces, and cooking like a mad woman! And the results have been fantastic! There are lots of different functions that make this cooker so flexible and user friendly. And the extra pot insert is so helpful, as soon as one dish is done cooking you can pop the next one in with no fuss. And because you can cook using the pressure cooking setting, you can create a whole dinner in the cooker, main in one pot and sides or desert in the other and all in no time at all! The sensor touch is easy to use and offers lots of setting that are customisable. And the safe pressure features are such a piece of mind for those wanting to use pressure cooking but had been a bit nervous about it. It also comes with a cook book with 50 recipes, which is a nice starting point.... I would love to get my hands on some more. However with a bit of experimentation you can cook almost any dish in the cooker. I have cooked our typical family favourites and adjusted recipies in the book to make a new creations. It can be lots of fun seeing what creations I can make with my cooker. I would definitely recommend this cooker to everyone. It is easy and fun to use. And a god send on hot days as it won't heat up the house like the oven does!
One of the best cooking implements in my kitchen
by rachel1970Combined rating
The Philips Premium All in One Cooker is such a fantastic implement in my kitchen. I LOVE to use it for pressure cooking although I must admit I am still to use it as a slow cooker. I was worried at first that it would be difficult to use but actually found it very easy to use and the instruction manual was easy to follow. Have already recommended it to friends and family.
Pressure cooked curry!
by mom212547Combined rating
YUM! One of my favourite dishes and yes I can't help but recommend the Philips all in one cooker enough! My curry turned out amazing! Let's get straight into it! Well I used whatever I had at home so my meat choice probably wasn't what I wanted but you can use any meat you like, the meat I had was beef cut into chunks, I prepared my (4 medium sized) potatoes and ?2 carrots by peeling and Chopping these into good bite size chunks, I also diced 1 medium sized onion. I seasoned my meat with salt and pepper, I had my all in one cooker ready and chose the option sauté high, added a little bit of oil with a little garlic and ginger and sautéed the diced onions, then added meat and only cooked until brown, then added potatoes and carrots and stirred around for a couple minutes to them add 4 cups of water (didn't end up needing 4 cups, 3 would have been perfect, but it still turned out great with more curry sauce) then added my 1 packet of golden curry and stirred until the curry was dissolved I then canceled the sauté option and placed the lid on the cooker to then chose the pressure cook manual mode and setting timer to 15 minutes! When timer was up I released steam and took the lid off! Yum!!! Everything was cooked beautifully! I added my final touches to the curry by adding 1Tbsp of ketchup, 1 Tbsp of soy sauce and also a little sprinkle of curry powder too just for some extra curry flavour! I mixed these in and my dish was done the vegetables were cooked to perfection and the meat was super delish! I absolutely love this golden curry and would highly recommend trying yourself! I served with brown rice that I had prepared in the rice cooker whilst the curry was cooking! And clean up again was super easy and the pots are great quality also! I wish I had more pots like these to use :)
Dim sum steam option
by mom212547Combined rating
Hi again, my experiences with the Philips all in one cooker have been so so good so far and I thought I'd share another cooking experience that I have tried out in the all in one cooker, I decided to try the steam option as I had chosen to make some pork mince dim sums for dinner and I ended up making 25 in total so to steam these on the stove top would take quite some time with only one steamer and coming time roughly 10 minutes, but in the Philips all in one cooker only 3 minutes was needed to steam these babies! And amazing! So good and so easy, I prepared my mince filling with pork mince, onion (as I didn't have and spring onions in the fridge), garlic, sesame oil, ginger and salt and pepper. I then packed the mince filling into wonton wrappers and chose to fold them up into little parcels, I put one cup of water in the pot, used the White steamer tray insert that comes with the Philips all in one cooker and sprayed that with some cooking oil (just so my dim sums didn't stick) then placed it into the pot that was in the cooker I placed 4-5 dim sums in at a time to cook, selected pressure cook option on steam for 5 minutes, I found that I couldn't take the timer any less? Which was a pain at times as i only needed the dim sums to cook for 3 minutes, so to do this I was having to keep and eye out on time and cancel the cook after 3 minutes. ( there were a couple of batches of dim sums that cooked for the whole 5 minutes as I forgot about it whilst trying to breast feed my son while the dim sums were cooking but this didn't make too much of a difference to the outcome so it didn't bother me really) to take the dim sums out and start cooking another batch I had to make sure I released the steam before opening the lid which was great, just made sure I had a oven mit on when doing so because a lot of steam came out! The outcome of the dim sums was great! Made cooking time a lot faster for me I found? And clean up again was very simple and easy! Can't wait to make some more steamed food in the Philips all in one cooker again!
My go to cooker!
by mom212547Combined rating
Finally! I have used the all in one cooker and am able to write a review to tell you all what I think about it! And we'll I think it's amazing! I felt so out of my comfort zone to begin with thinking too much into how long to cook things for etc but Google helped me out a lot and now I'm just winging it!! but hey got to start somewhere and what do you know! Meals have come out perfect and have made cooking a breeze as there's no need to sit and keep an eye on things or worrying if my toddler is touching the oven + Cooking time is great, as most of my days are so busy it comes around to dinner time an I've forgotten all about the meat I had pulled out to cook that takes a lot of time as well as veggies etc the pressure cooker has saved me! ???? My 1st cooking experience with the all in one cooker was a piece of roast lamb, For this meal I had planned and had time to slow cook my piece of lamb, I used the pot roast option put timer to 5hours and seasoned with salt pepper and a little bit of garlic, the smells that came from the cooker during the 5 hours were so so good I had comments on how good dinner smelt from my partners brother who was over visiting at the time I was hoping that it tasted as good as it smelt! Well when the timer was up the cooker when straight to warmer mode I chose to open as I ready to dish up with my roasted veggies I had cooked in the oven and roasted pumpkin, feta, pine nut and spinach salad. Before opening the lid I released the steam from the machine which you would find on the top of the lid and sitting in the pot was a beautifully cooked roast lamb in a whole lot of drippings and juices! Taking the roast lamb from the pot it was just falling off the bone and it was delicious and I felt so proud to serve the meat for dinner! :) I also didn't let the drippings from the meat go to waste I made a gravy to pour over our lamb setting the cooker to sauté high temp (leaving the lid off so you can stir) adding some water and flour to thicken it turned out great! Some more seasoning could have been added but we enjoyed it without! :) so happy with the way the meat turned out and depending on the size of meat you cook the timing may be different I could have cooked our meat maybe for 1/2 hour less but it still tasted great and loved how it pulled away from the bone so easily! Clean up was so easy both pots are great quality and nothing stuck to my cooker which usually I'm having to scrub dishes down to get clean from roasting meat. I would highly recommend the Philips all in one cooker and can't wait to share more of my cooking experiences in the all in one cooker with you!
Amazing apple cake!
by mom172405Combined rating
Wow!! Who knew there would be a device that can be used as a pressure cooker, slow cooker and wait for it.....an oven!!! I was reading through the recipe book and came across the recipe for an apple cake and I said to my husband 'what we can bake in this?' I was extremely excited! I gathered all my ingredients, made the cake exactly according to the recipe book and the result....one delicious looking, tasty, simple to make cake! Preparation took about 15 minutes, I set the timer to 50min, managed to get things done during that time and once the baking is done, the device automatically converts to heating and starts counting up the minutes the food inside has been heating for. I opened the lid (after 2 min of heating) and I did not know I could make a cake that looks tasty! Out of the many advantages of this product, the one that was a winner is that I baked a cake on top of the tabletop and not in the oven. Usually when using the oven, it needs to be pre-heated, then food needs to be baked and then the oven needs to cool down. It becomes quite impossible to use the oven with a little one around unless the oven is situated higher up. But with the Philips All-in-one cooker I managed to bake a cake and not have to worry about my son getting hurt at all!! The cake tasted delicious!! Very easy to make, requires simple ingredients. Cleaning up was a bliss! Only the inner pot had to be cleaned and I swear it took less than 2 minutes to do so. Doesn't require aggressive scrubbing. The rest of the device remains clean and left on the bench top! Cannot wait to make my next dish in this cooker! The All-in-one lives up to it's name. It really is an all-in-one including peace of mind!
The Philips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker is easy to use!!

My excitement at receiving The “Philips Premium All In One Cooker” was hard to contain!! Tired from a long hard day at work I removed The "Philips All In One Cooker" from it's box and was extremely happy with what I saw. The Cooker looks very robust with an impressive touch screen display and it comes with 2 bowl inserts, ones non-stick and the other stainless steel. There is also a steaming plate, soup ladle, rice spoon, measuring cup and recipe book, Amazing!! So Far So Good... :) Well, the next morning I set about giving this machine it's first real workout by cooking up an Italian Chicken Casserole (not in Recipe Book), a hearty, home cooked meal for hubby and the kidlets. I chopped up chicken thighs, onions, capsicum, carrots, mushrooms, garlic and added in my salt and pepper, then turned on The “Philips All In One Cooker” setting it to “saute mode” (push the start/reheat button for 2 secs). I’m happy to say it sauteed everything up perfectly and evenly! Then I added some tinned toms, the chicken casserole sauce mix (Yes, I’m slack and use sauce mixes!) with some added sprigs of thyme. Next I turned the “Philips All In One Cooker” to “Slow-Cooker- High Mode”, setting it for 6hrs, and went about my day. After nearly 6 hrs I returned to my “Philips All In One Cooker”, took off the lid and was pleasantly surprised with what I saw: the casserole looked divine, veggies still intact and holding together, not all mushy like I’ve experienced with some other slow cookers I’ve used. I served up my glorious casserole, topped with some plain yogurt, garnished with a sprinkling of chives and mint on top and guess what happened next??... Success!! Kids (x3), hubby and myself (we had seconds) devoured it, there was nothing left to show for my hard work (Shhh… The Philips All In One Cooker’s, hard work) but empty plates. Thank goodness for the "Philips All In One Cooker’s" generous 6 litre capacity! Would I recommend the “Philips All In One Cooker” after this workout?? Hell Yes!! It does what it says on the box and it does it well… I am looking forward to my next “Philips All In One Cooker” Adventure!! :)
Morroccon Chicken with Rice ????

Most delicious dinner ever! This all in one is a winner !! Slow cooker setting works a treat
Taking it for a test drive
by Mikayla_mumof1Combined rating
Right I've got the chance while baby is down to test this bad boy! I decided to come up with my own recipe! Just substituted the Master Foods Morroccon Lamb Shanks recipe for Morroccon Chicken!! Have no lamb shanks but that's okay :P Alright so I started off by putting the sachet, onion, chicken thighs, chickpeas, punnet of cherry tomatoes, 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce and 3 big potatoes! I chucked it all into the stainless steel pot (not the one that said rice). I plugged in the all in one cooker into the wall and immediately flashing orange lights came up! Super easy! I went into the recipe book and looked up how to press start on the machine because once I put all of the slow cooker settings in... I couldn't work out how to make it start (pretty sure I held down the button to make it work) Also to begin with I thought that I needed the top vent on seal but my partner helped me and turns out it needed to be on BAKE! Once that was done, we locked the lid and off we go! The most simplistic machine I've ever used.. there's nothing to it! The all in one cooker is extremely intimidating to look at, but once you have a play with it, you'll know you've met your new friend in the kitchen! I'm planning on posting a video tonight of the finishing product failures or success and how we go about making rice for the meal! Brown rice is on the menu!
This cooker is far better than any I have ever used
by 1bianca1Combined rating
I loved this cooker so much more than I thought I would. I thought it would be great for curries and meats, but I have cooked risotto, a lovely jus, and plain rice! The two bowls make it so easy. The instructions make it a breeze, the lid opens and closes with ease. I can't fault it! The silverside I cooked was so tender and juicy. I can't stop using it.
Christmas in January ????
by Mikayla_mumof1Combined rating
I was so excited when the postie arrived with my Phillips all in one cooker!! I can't believe I was one of the lucky ones chosen to keep and review this bad boy!!! The buttons and overall appearance of the product are outstanding...you look at it and it looks a million bucks!!! The packaging was beautiful when it arrived and everything was placed in the box so neatly and it was so easy to grab out! It really is value for your money. I haven't yet had the chance to make anything in it yet as I only have birth to my daughter Mahlie a week ago ! I'm thinking of starting with something easy like a Master Foods recipe mix Mild chicken Curry sachet and putting onion, sweet potato, potatoes and coconut milk in there and setting it onto slow cooker mode for the recommended time! This is just easier for me at this time but I will post a review once I make something from the recipe book provided!!! I can't wait to see what scrumptious meals I can accomplish in this whizzy All in one cooker! Thanks Phillips!
Easy, multifunctional and husband-proof cooker
by mom199276Combined rating
I was a little hesitant getting another kitchen appliance that would inevitably sit in the cupboard unused but I have been pleasantly surprised by how versatile the cooker is. I now use it to batch cook dinners on the weekend, steam fish and chicken, bake cakes and even make yoghurt. My husband, who hates cooking, actually enjoyed using it and loved the result when he made beef cheeks in less than one hour! I can't recommend this cooker more highly and looking forward to experimenting with different recipes now that I got the hang of pressure cooking!
Butter beans and Lentils
by mom172405Combined rating
After trying out a few of the dishes from the recipe book I thought I will try some of the everyday basics to really make sure I know how to use all the functions of this amazing cooker! I decided to pressure cook butter beans and lentils. Easy peasy! Put the ingredients in, add water, seal the lid, press pressure cook and it automatically sets the timer to 30 minutes. Butter beans and lentils cooked to perfection. I then added spices and was ready to serve from the cooker itself. Best thing, I can release the steam when I am ready and little one is happily distracted with his books and toys. Unlike traditional pressure cookers where the steam is released randomly and very likely bub is having their nap and mum then needs to deal with a screaming and annoyed child!
Life has become more enjoyable!!

Fourth instalment: I've cooked up a few vegetable soups following the recipe for Moroccan vegetable stew in The Philips All In One Cooker Recipe Book, adding in a few extras. The recipe book is super easy to follow. The Cooker has made me feel more confident in my ability to cook and the Kidlets and hubby are loving it!! Meals take a maximum of 30mins start to finish, giving me more time to spend on the important things in life (hubby and kids). If you want a Cooker that can perform miracles buy The Philips All In One Cooker!! You will not regret it, I promise!!
Carrot Cake
by mom172405Combined rating
I decided to try my hand at banking another cake since the apple cake was such a success! I used the recipe book to make carrot cake. Did all the preparation as per the recipe, left out walnuts and coconut (as these 2 ingredients are not very liked in our household). I was a little dubious about the pineapple but added it anyway to see how it all goes. Preparation was easy, placed the mixture into the cooker and upon completion, the cake turned out beautiful with no burnt parts. However, the cake was not fluffy, I personally feel the pineapple ruined the cake due to the fibres of the pineapple being present throughout the cake. The underside of the cake was very dark and inedible but the layer just above it was very dense and seemed as though it didn't quite cook properly. Overall, the cake looked good, easy to prepare but not delicious. May give this another try this time without the pineapple and see if that improves the taste.
Versatility at your fingertips!
by mom172405Combined rating
The Philips Premium All-in-one cooker is absolutely amazing!! Tt have a very modern and stylish design which suits any kitchen and is more than likely to suit other appliances one may have in their kitchen. Although the cooker has a huge capacity (6L), it doesn't take up a lot of space on the bench top which is always a bonus. The timer is easy to use and the recipe book is very easy to follow. One things I would like to say though, considering many of the recipes require ingredients to be measured by weight, it would be good if the cooker came with a weight measuring device. They have measurements for cups (volume) but weight as well would have been good. Otherwise, very happy with the product. My husband who rarely enters the kitchen was also amazed at how easy this device is to use and the variety of food that can be made!
Sticky pepper pork
by AzzyCombined rating
This was another fail in the pressure cooker department. I followed the recipe out of the book and unfortunately it turned out nothing like the picture in the recipe book. It still tasted alright and instead of having with rice I shredded the meat and we made sliders. Next time I will try sear it for longer before turning it to pressure cooker
I love this Cooker!! Sasuage Bake.
by sashbeCombined rating
So far I'm in love with the Philips All In One Cooker!! I've used the Cooker every night bar one. I must day that it has halved the time I spend in the kitchen, giving me more time to spend with the family. This review is on the Sasuage Bake from the Recipe Book that comes with the Cooker. It was easy to prepare and made enough for 5 people, with enough leftover for seconds. The bake mode on the Cooker did cause the bottom of the Bake to brown up, but nothing too bad. I'm happy to say that the meal was a success again!! I would definitely recommend buying this Cooker for sure. It has inspired me to cook more often and to try different things. I love it!!
Fabulous cooker – would highly recommend!
by mom199276Combined rating
I would highly recommend buying the Philips All-in-one cooker. It’s so easy to use, has so many useful functions and cooking modes, and so easy to clean. It’s perfect for cooking dinners during the week when life is hectic. For instance, I can prepare an amazing slow cooked pulled pork dinner for 6 people in less than 30 min before work and just let it simmer for 10 hours until I get home. I’ve also used the cooker to cook rice and pasta, which is even easier now when using the timer. There’s no more burnt rice or overcooked pasta is my house!

Mushroom Risotto- easier than ever before!
by mom172405Combined rating
I decided to make the mushroom risotto as laid out in the recipe book. It was an absolute delight to cook this meal! I had no idea risotto could be so easy and it took hardly any time from me. I didn't have to mind the oven and cook over the stove or worry about stirring the rice whilst adding the stock. I sautéed the mushrooms in the all-in-one cooker. Took about 10 minutes, during which I cleaned up the dishes in the sink. The mushrooms gave off a beautiful aroma! Afterwards just added arborio rice and vegetable stock, set the time on the timer and that was it! The risotto turned out absolutely perfect, the rice had cooked to perfection and it tasted delicious!
Asian Style Chicken!!
by sashbeCombined rating
My second time using The Philips All In One Cooker, I decided to try out one of the recipes from The Philips All In One Recipe Book, Asian Style Chicken! The recipe was super easy to follow! Took about 15mins of prep and sauteing, before I turned The Cooker on to the 40mins it required to cook the meal and do it's magic and magic it did!! The meal was absolutely Delish!! Kidlets and hubby did not complain and again no leftovers, Amazing!!
Sticky Ribs - not as successful
by 1bianca1Combined rating
So last night I was in a hurry and made the decision to use prepackaged sticky ribs from the meat section of a supermarket. Usually something we cook on the BBQ I thought it would be good to try them in the pressure cooker. I think I only did them for long enough to cook them but not enough time to break down the fibres and fat, so they they were way too tough and difficult to eat. I guess I need to just get used to the times things take and learn from it...
Porridge this morning... so creamy!
by 1bianca1Combined rating
So I decided to use the all in one cooker for our porridge this morning. The kids loved it and said that they prefer it to the usual. Although I had to stir it a fair bit, so I was tied to the kitchen ( unlike my usual device which heats and stirs), the results were fantastic and the pot was much easier to clean afterwards so I guess you just have to weigh it up.... stirring a bit more and less cleaning I think is the winner! Still figuring out the buttons and having to read the manual to sort which setting to use, but it makes sense once I read it.
Little road test
by sjd82Combined rating
I was so excited to receive the Philips Premium Collection All-in-One Cooker the other day. This cooker looks great. I love the additional bowl and utensils as well as the recipe book included. I had a look through and some of the recipes were not as appealing to me but I know I will be able to put this cooker to great use finding some recipes online also. I have yet to do my groceries to try the functions of slow and pressure cooking but wanted to do a quick road test of the Philips Premium Collection All-in-One Cooker. Myself along with my 3 year old son got some items from the pantry to try the first recipe, 'Apple cinnamon Oats'. Nice and simple, pop the ingredients in, set your cooking mode and time and hit start. I did have to press on the start buttons a few times before it did start to work, I thought I must have been doing something wrong but I just put a little more pressure on the button and it started. 20 mins later we had nice, flavoursome, cooked oats with soft apples through it. Being a shift worker and mum, I definitely feel time poor and tired to cook at the end of the day. I look forward to trying more recipes with the other functions. I know it will make life easier when it comes to planning and making meals. It's also a good size that you can make a good quantity for the family or to portion and put away for your meals for the week at work. Once I try some others functions and recipes I will post an updated review but I'm feeling hopeful that this is going to be a great cooker.
So far, SO good!

My new Philips All-in-One cooker arrived just over a week ago, one day before my son’s 2nd Birthday gathering. The timing could not have been better! What better way to put the cooker to the test than to bake my son’s birthday cake in it. The cooker comes with a great little booklet of recipes, all of which sound delicious. Due to some dietary restrictions within our family, I wasn’t able to use the chocolate cake recipe within the booklet, so I found a grain-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free chocolate cake recipe to use instead (sounds unappealing I know, but it was delicious!). I was a little nervous as to how the cake would turn out since I hadn’t used the cooker before. I knew that due to the differing ingredients to the cake in the booklet that I would need to reduce the baking time. The chocolate cake in the booklet states 50min for cooking so I reduced baking time to 40min. Still a little too long for this particular cake it turns out! The bottom of the cake (which is technically the top of the cake once removed from the insert) was fairly burnt. However, I was able to slice off the thin burnt layer and cover it in an avo choc mousse icing and no one was any the wiser. The cake was somehow still perfectly moist through despite the burnt top and there was absolutely no burnt flavour to it. It was delicious! I really liked the ease of use of the cooker. It just made the entire process seem so simple. The best part, clean up was a breeze! And that’s from someone who burnt her dish. I LOVE that this cooker comes with a stainless steel insert. It is such a healthy option for cooking. I used this insert for my cake and I will probably continue to use it for most dishes. I am going to make yoghurt in the cooker today. I make yoghurt on a weekly basis so I am eager to see how it turns out! I will keep you all posted.
Bramble Jam
by SarahGKCombined rating
Having read over the recipe book included with my Philips all in one cooker, and given the abundance of delicious brambles at the moment, I thought I would give Jam a go, which I have never made before. I simply followed the ratios of fruit to sugar, mashed the brambles slightly with the sugar, left for an hour and then set the stew/curry setting for an hour and a half. I was hesitant as I know a lot of Jam recipes have pectin to set the jam. When the time was up, I put the jam into jars and left it to set. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was fairly well set, and just delicious. No stirring, no worrying about burning the sugar, no sticky pan to scrub, so easy I can't wait to make more!

Love how there is no pre-heating for oven like food. Being able to brown and slow cook in the one pot, saves a lot on the washing up. Having all these cooking items in the one place also saves on storage space. I like being able to pressure cook, slow cook and all the rest on the bench top without having to worry about hot ovens or stove tops with young children.
Easy Peazy!
by AzzyCombined rating
So we decided to make the Massaman Beef Curry again. My almost 7 year old was keen to help out. After cutting up all the ingredients I guided my son using the recipe book on what to do. The machine was easy enough for him to select the settings and adjust the cooking time. Once we had cooked the Massaman we took that bowl out of the cooker and placed it to the side to cool while we cooked some rice. I always struggled with cooking rice evenly, with the all in one, I have cooked rice in it 3 times now and all three times it has come out prefectly! Once the rice was cooked, the massaman was at the perfect temperature to eat. If my almost 7 year old can use this machine, anyone can!
Quickly becoming a kitchen staple
by mom109093Combined rating
I have had this beauty for a whole week now and it is safe to say that I am quickly falling in love with it. I whipped up a dessert last night without having to do much more than dump the ingredients in the pot and turn it on. It even kept the dessert warm until we were ready to eat it. This morning I used the preset timer so that we had steaming hot porridge ready to go as soon as everyone was up and dressed and sitting at the table. Then for lunch, I made this very yummy chicken soup. There was no added salt and no use of stock (so no added sodium there). It was literally just the chicken, water and veggies. All the ingredients are thrown in the pot together, select pressure cook - soup, set the time to 30 minutes and then press start. It really is that easy. I was expecting it to taste a little bland so I admit I had the salt and pepper ready and waiting. There was no need to be worried though, this was beautifully cooked and very tasty. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was no 'sludge' floating on the top of the cooked soup. I have tried making chicken soup using raw chicken before and found the end result had a type of sludge on top made of fat and oil which needed to be scooped off before the soup could be consumed. I have no idea why, but that didn't happen in this case. The only small hiccup was a result of my complete inexperience with using a pressure cooker. The previous receipes I have tried did require venting before opening the lid, however, very little steam was released during these vents. I had come to expect this to be normal. The chicken soup is cooked using the pressure cook setting, however. At the end of cooking when I opened the valve to VENT, I was taken by surprise by the huge amounts of steam coming out. For future reference, make sure there is plenty of clearance above the multi cooker before opening the vent and DO NOT lean too close to it.
One pot cooking.

Was not too sure when hubby brought me Philips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker. Then I read the book to see how it works. Loved the idea that I could sear/saute the meat in the cooker before slow cooking. No more having to dirty another pan to brown the meat. Being able to cook in different ways has been handy, even got over my fear of pressure cooking. Remembering the one my mum had that rattled and hissing.
Addicted to this machine!
by TwinniesMumCombined rating
My husband and I are absolutely addicted to this machine! It has changed the way we feed our toddler twins dinner. The last two Sundays we have used it to cook three family meals -eg lamb korma, beef casserole and spaghetti Bol. It took us less than 5 minutes to prepare each one, cooked each one on the pressure cooker setting for between 30 and 45 minutes, then viola, a weeks worth of family meals! Having two pots made it so much easier as you could prepare one before the first one finished, and swap pots quickly and get the next one started. We can now eat as a family as we simply need to reheat when we get home, where previously we were feeding the kids whatever we could throw together then not eating ourselves until after 8pm. This machine has been a life changer!!
Taking over my kitchen
by mom109093Combined rating
I have now had my Philips All-In-One Cooker for over 5 weeks. It continues to be a staple in our kitchen and I continued to be pleasantly surprised in how convenient and versatile this little beauty is. I now find myself adapting receipes so that the only appliance I need to use is the All-In-One Cooker. The convenience of being able to saute, sear, steam, pressure cook and multi cook in the one appliance can not be stressed enough, and that doesn't even take in to account the specific multi cook functions that make roasting, soup, rice, etc a breeze to cook successfully and tastefully every time. In the early day my love of the All-In-On was definitely encouraged by how easy the clean up was. The more I have used this machine, the more I have come to appreciate how much it enhances and improves the flavour of the dishes I am wasting. As everything is cooked in the one bowl there is no throwing out taste-enhancing oils or bases, it all stays in the dish leading to mouth watering good meals. Love, love, love!
It makes me look like I'm such a good cook!
by JanineCombined rating
I've found my one true love after a bumpy start. I have had the best fun playing with the Philips All In One Cooker. It's changing my way of cooking and thinking about meals. There is nothing this machine can't do! I made risotto and it was beautiful! It makes me look like I'm a good cook which isn't the case, lol I used to cook when the girls got home from school and it always caused drama been such a busy part of the day and my girls just wanted my attention. I know put something in the slow cooker after I take the girls to school and when it's dinner time... it's ready! I have a much happier family and have for the first time, I have found the right balance all from this!
So many functions and so easy to use
by mom199276Combined rating
On first appearance the cooker looks big, but considering what it can do, it’s amazingly compact. From cooking roasts in less than an hour to making succulent slow cooked curries to steaming meat and veg, the cooker does it all with minimal mess. I made a slow cooked lamb korma from the recipe book last night and it was so simple to do (just throw all ingredients in the pot and set for 6 hours!) and more importantly, was absolutely delicious.
And the fun begins!

I received my all in one cooker on Friday, as a very busy weekend I was excited to finally try it out Sunday night. After looking through the recipes in the book we settled on the Beef Massaman. The all in one was so easy to setup and I loved that I only had 4 dishes to wash at then end! After 2 hours I had cooked the beef massaman and a serving of rice to go with it. I can not wait for Australia day, going to attempt a whole roast lamb!
Tender Pulled Pork!
by sjd82Combined rating
So I looked up a pulled pork recipe and found one on the Philips YouTube channel using the older All-In-One cooker version. I love pulled pork but never seemed to get it nice and tender using my old slow cooker. Using the simple recipe, I used the sauté button with onions and garlic, popped in the pork shoulder with a heap of BBQ sauce and paprika in without having to sear it first...I then used slow cook and changed the time for 8 hrs. 6pm came around and I popped the vent open and opened the lid and i couldn't even pick up the shoulder with a fork as it was falling apart beautifully. I used the sauté button again with the leftover juices and added cornflour to thicken the sauce and added to the pulled pork. I am very happy with the results and hubby commented that it tasted great. So easy and had dinner and lunch for the next day. My negative is still that my start button might take a few presses but seems to be getting better than the first go.

Today was always going to be a great day we you're greeted with a smiling Postie holding the Philips Premium All-in-One in his hands! I'm so excited after just reading all of its amazing features on the box like auto pressure release (big tick for me), preset-time for 24 hours, sensor touch and child lock to name but a few! The All in one cooker looks durable, it has a whopping 6 litre capacity and looks really easy to use. It comes with 2 inner pots, soup ladle, rice spoon, measuring cup and recipe book. I'm amazed and intrigued that you can make things like cakes and yoghurts in this awesome machine! I think it's time to give this bad boy a workout!
Unbeatten for convenience
by mom109093Combined rating
I have had my Philips All-In-One Cooker for a month now. The convenience of being able to pressure cook a great meal quickly has definitely helped with time management in my busy household. In fact, because it is so quick and easy to clean the All-In-One up I am using it for at least one meal every day and often more. The non stick bowl takes seconds to clean - I'm not even exaggerating! It takes me longer to fill the sink then it takes to clean up. After a month of use, my absolute favourite feature of the Philips All-In-One Cooker is the option to sear my meat in the bowl before slow cooking. I have found the flavours to be much better than when I previously browned in a pan before moving to a slow cooker or, as I often did for the sake of the dishes, skipped browning altogether. This week I have made good old spaghetti this way as well as a mouth watering chilli-con-carne and a melt in your mouth pulled pork. In the case of the pulled pork, I slow cooked the meat first then drained away most of the liquid before turning the All-In-One to saute mode. In this manner I was able to caramelise some of the juices and give the pulled pork a bit of colour. The result was so good that it didn't last long enough for me to get photos. I have found that many of the receipes in the provided cook book are not quite right for our family, however, youtube and taste.com.au both have receipes specifically for the Philips All-In-One cooker. After a month of use I would definitely recommend the Philips All-In-One Cooker to friends and family - and in fact I have been!

#MoMReview of the #phillipsallinonecooker . I diced chicken breast and sauteed it for 14 minutes lid off. Removed from cooker. Added oil and butter and diced vegetables. Sautéed on low for 5 minutes. Added 1/2 Cup White Wine and stirred. Added 2 cups Jasmine Rice and 750ml Chicken Stock. Stirred. Replaced lid and set to seal. Pressure cooked as per Risotto setting, approx 18 minutes. Release all steam, remove lid, add cooked chicken and mix through. Let sit for 5 minutes with the lid on. Then serve up this pot of deliciousness to my #whiteswissshepherd for dinner. @mouths_of_mums #mumreviews #mouthsofmums
Green Curry
by sjd82Combined rating
Finally tested out the pressure cooker function and was very happy. I tried the green curry recipe from the book. I only had to do a bit of sautéing but after that I put in the remaining ingredients, turned on the pressure cooker and adjusted the time and I was so pleased that not long after I had a a tasty green curry without having to watch over it and stir it and the chicken was still nice and tender. I'm so keen to continue trying different recipes and the multiple ways I can cook something. I also cooked rice in the All in One Cooker and had fluffy rice in under 20 minutes, which is faster than my current electric rice cooker.
Perfect lamb!
by TwinniesMumCombined rating
Working most days and having almost three year old twins means I don't get much time in the kitchen! Roasts are my absolute fave, but I rarely get time to cook one. Enter the Phillips All in One! I bought a leg of lamb from the super, and we slow cooked it for 9.5 hours. All I did was add some water to the bottom of the insert, place the lamb on the trivet, and sprinkle it with olive oil, garlic and rosemary. I prepared the veggies while the twins were asleep, so I just had to pop them in the oven! The lamb was so tender, exactly like a roast in the oven, just without the crispy top. I'll definitely be doing this one again. We were all in such a hurry to taste it that we forgot to take an after pic!
I faced my greatest fear and used the pressure cooker!
by JanineCombined rating
Today I decided to face my fear and use the pressure cooker! I have always worried it would explode in my face hence why I have never purchased one but I knew I was in safe hands with the Philips All in One Cooker so I just had to bite the bullet and do it! I was dying to make the Chinese braised Oxtail in the recipe book because it looked yum! I didn't have all the Asian ingredients in the recipe book provided with the cooker, so I substituted it with what I had in the pantry. I added a cup of my delishes beef bone broth that I had made in the Philips All In One cooker the day before because I wanted to give the meal an added depth of flavour. I used the Pressure meat/poultry setting. The cooker automatically had an inbuilt time of 25 min set but I had a feeling it was too good to be true but decided to follow the instructions. The meat wasn't cooked so I did it for another 40 min and that did the trick. I was confused as to how I misjudged the cooking time. I looked up at the top of the recipe and it says precooking time (pressure) of 40 mins and then further along reading the instructions, it says to cook for 25 min to finish it off. I now know and be better prepared with my next meal I cook. I would have ordinarily cooked it for 8 hours in the slow cooker but I wanted to test out how much time and money it would save me doing it this way. The cooker beeped twice to inform me it was finished cooking and it automatically went to stay warm mode. I turned pressure regulator on the lid to vent and as you can imagine their was a lot of pressure built up so it made a loud release noise but thats about as wild as the party got, lol. I opened the lid and breathed a huge sigh of relief. The aroma was amazing and I walked away empowered and unscathed but then Philips already knew that, lol. The meal was divine. It was so flavoursome and the meat was so tender. It was unreal and my tastebuds had a party in my mouth, lol. This is definitely going to be my 'brag' dish, lol
Quick Lamb backstrap
by 1bianca1Combined rating
So I did a real quick dinner tonight - not much time up my sleeve as we had been out all day. So I knew I had a backstrap, but it had no marinate or flavour on it... I quickly drowned it in a BBQ flavoured sauce and popped it into the machine - only 10 minutes later I had made a basic salad to go with it and the meat was perfect - so sweet and juicy. Had trouble with the start button though - seems it takes 3 seconds of holding it down, whereas previously I had only had to hold for a good second.. got there in the end though.
Yoghurt . . . a little on the runny side
by Ash MCombined rating
My second time using the Philips All-in-One Cooker I decided to make some homemade yoghurt. I make yoghurt on a weekly basis from scratch, but it is far more time consuming than it was with using the all-in-one cooker. I usually have to heat the milk to a certain temperature (with out going over), wait for it to cool to a certain temperature, add in my starter culture or existing yoghurt, stir, and then place in a warm place in which it can stay a fairly consistent warm temperature until the yoghurt is done. I always allow my yoghurt to ferment for 24 hours because it means the bacteria increases in quantity even further and it also means that you are left with pretty much no lactose (because the bacteria has "eaten it up") so it is easy to digest (if you have issues with that like I do!). My first batch of yoghurt in the all-in-one cooker was super easy to prepare! Just let your milk reach room temperature, pop it in the bowl/insert, stir in your culture and set the machine to yoghurt. Too easy! I opted for 12hrs of heat (you can set the yoghurt mode from 6 to 12hrs) and then reset for another 12hrs once it was done in order to make my 24hr yoghurt. Unfortunately, the yoghurt didn't really "set". It was still rather liquidy in consistency. Usually when I make my yoghurt it sets really quite well. It may be that my yoghurt that I used as a starter was a little too old? I am going to have to try this one out again and have a bit of a play to see if I can get it right. I will let you know if I have better luck next time! Despite this, the yoghurt was not wasted. Still perfect for fruit smoothies, etc and still a great source of probiotics. My 2 yr old and I enjoyed a banana honey smoothie this morning with it. Delish!
Peach Porridge Yum!
by country chickCombined rating
So today I decided to make something different to rice - and tried the recipe in the book that came with the machine for the Peach Porridge. Very easy and quick to prepare and of course just had to push a button and it was cooking. Did take awhile to cook but I guess you just need to be organized and have it on in plenty of time. I actually made it as a dessert by serving it with ice cream (figured it was a little healthier than some options I would usually make) and everyone around the table thought it was nice ( I didn't tell them it was a breakfast dish until afterwards!) I would make it again - this recipe actually made a lot! I would have easily gotten 10 portions out of it, but I guess if you were having it for brekky you would eat a larger portion.
My Philips All In One Cooker made liquid gold today!
by JanineCombined rating
On the onset I was impressed with the instructions as it was very thorough but there were a few misprints and spelling errors in parts of the manual. When you have selected the setting you wish to use, you need to press the start button and hold it in for a few seconds for cooking to commence. This wasn't noted in the recipe book which was a little frustrating. I decided I wanted to test out one of my regular dishes I make which is beef bone broth because it is a stable in my household. I used the sauté low setting because it's important to have the mixture on a gental simmer for 12 hours and not boiling or else you won't get that wonderful gelatinous consistency at the end. I have struggled getting the right temp on my stove top so I wanted to see how the Philips All in One Cooker performed. The results were even better than I anticipated! It was full of flavour and perfectly gelatinous and I would have to say it the best broth I have ever made!! I'm super impressed! I loved that I could leave it to cook and I didn't have to worry about it like I do when I cook it on the stove top. My children are always in the kitchen and are always touching things they shouldn't and the All in One Cooker gives me piece of mind that it's cooking away safely! Great days cooking and I couldn't stop smiling.

Delicious lamb ribs
by TwinniesMumCombined rating
We decided to do some lamb ribs for Australia Day. I bought some pre marinated ones from Coles to make the task a bit easier. We put them on the trivet, and pressure cooked them for an hour. They were so tasty! Meat wasn't quite falling off the bone but myself, hubby and our twins demolished them all quite quickly! Next time we do them we will add a bit of water to the bottom of the cooker while will hopefully tenderise them a bit more.
Morish Massaman
by Ash MCombined rating
Last week I decided to test out the slow cooker function using the Beef Massaman Curry recipe from the all-in-one recipe book. It was DELICIOUS! My son and husband both loved it and it made for fantastic left overs. I added in some carrot just to sneak in an extra veggie for Mr 2 yrs old. I also ended up cooking the curry for an additional two hours (it says to cook for 8 on the low slow cooker setting) and it made it just that bit more tender. This will definitely become a regular in our household. It was enjoyed by all!

From the moment the courier handed me my brand new Philips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker, I had a feeling that it was definitely going to make meal time a whole lot easier and couldn’t wait to try it out. Inside the box, there is the All-In-One Cooker, 2 bowl inserts (Non Stick and Stainless), a steaming insert, measuring cup, rice spoon, soup ladle, and Philips have even included a book with 50 recipes for you to try, which is great for those of us who sometimes have trouble deciding what’s on the menu for dinner each night. Also included is a 2-year warranty, which is great for piece of mind and something I always look for when purchasing an electrical appliance. The Philips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker is easy and fun to use but can take a few attempts to master and when it comes to cooking recipes that aren’t included in the recipe book, you’re pretty much on your own when it comes to figuring out which of the several cooking modes to use for each step as neither the recipe book nor instruction manual really goes into detail of how each function can be used. During the first week my husband and I tried out many of the different cooking functions and were impressed with the quality of the meals we were able to produce. Some of the meals we made in our All-In-One Cooker this week were Chicken, Spinach and Mushroom Risotto, Asian Fried Rice, Slow Cooked Beef Ribs with Homemade Barbecue Sauce, Dumplings, and Pasta Bolognese. The generous 6L capacity also allowed us to make enough of each meal that we had lunch sorted for the next day which was great because as parents of a young baby, we don’t often have enough time throughout the day to prepare proper, wholesome meals for lunch. I look forward to seeing what other recipes we create in the coming weeks and will keep you posted.

Best Baked Beans
by Ash MCombined rating
I recently cooked a bulk batch of homemade baked beans in my all-in-one cooker. This is something I generally make on the stove top and a large batch can take me up to 3 hours to cook through. I popped my pre-soaked navy beans and all of my usual ingredients for my baked beans into the all-in-one cooker on pressure cook. I cooked the beans for 25 mins and then checked where the beans were at, they still needed longer so I cooked them for a further 30 mins. At this point they were perfect! This was the first time that I had used a pressure cooker and I was extremely impressed with it. Due to the fact that I hadn't used it before, I was a little heavy handed on my liquid, so I simply scooped some out and reduced it to a thick sauce on the stove then added it back into the bean mixture. The beans were a hit in our house. They were the best I have made and in a fraction of the time. I served our first meal of them up with baked potatoes and some avocado on top. My 2 yr old gobbled them up and then scraped the bowl to get every last bit that he could! It will definitely be something I continue to make in the all-in-one cooker in the future.
Slow cooked whole chicken

A day where I felt like I had no time. I cut one onion into 4 and some garlic and popped into the cooker, got a whole chicken rubbed it with olive oil, garlic salt, paprika, thyme and pepper and placed on top of the onion. I set it to slow cook, high temp for 4 hours. After time had passed, I had a tender cooked chicken that fell apart and I picked off the bone. Nice and easy no fuss.
A Family feast

Last night we tried this Pasta Bolognese in the #phillipsallinonecooker as part of the #momreview . I made the Penne pasta in my Phillips Pasta machine, set aside and cooked up the spaghetti sauce as per the recipe. This was fine. Next step was to add the pasta, 270ml of water and close the lid. Touch Multicook and choose Stew/Curry, set cooking time to 30 minutes and press Start. Only the maximum I could get the timer to was 10 minutes and even then it didn't really count down nor cook the pasta. In the end I set it to pressure cooker for 10 minutes and this did the job. Would certainly cook the sauce in this every time though.
Baking time

Today I tried the baking option on the Philips Premium Collection All-In-One cooker to make a banana cake. Whilst you do all the prep out of the cooker, I then popped the mixed ingredients in, set the seal to bake and then adjusted the time to 50 mins. It smelt great and came out no fuss, however was not as fluffy as usual and more dense, I could put this down to using bananas that had been frozen and coconut sugar which is different from how I usually bake it, I'm not sure. It still tasted nice. Next time I will try one of the recipes from the book. I'm still looking forward to trying the pressure cooker setting.
A beast in the kitchen
by mom109093Combined rating
Thank you Phillips and Mouths of Mums, my brand new Phillips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker arrived yesterday. I will admit, I am a little bit intimidated by this machine, it is a beast! It is packaged well, thoroughly enough to be safe from damage but easy to unpack without the need to sift through a tonne of plastic. It is very easy to set up. Just give the inner bowls a quick wash and dry, pop it back in to the cooker, plug it in and you are set to go. The All-In-One Cooker comes with a free receipe book, including receipes for yoghurt, porridge, jam, stews and risotto, to name a few. Some of the receipes give you options for slow cooking or pressure cooking, dependant on how much time you have. I gave it a test run tonight, trying out the carbonara from the supplied receipe book. Very briefly, you pop the initial ingredients in the bowl, select the cooking option (saute - hot), set the time and press start. Some minimal stirring was required. In stage 2 you add the remaining ingredients, following the handy hints on which order works best, pop the lid on, hit the cooking option, set the time and you are done. I walked away and spent time with my family while the All-In-One Cooker did all the work for me. What I liked: - quick and easy to set up, - minimal work required - the easiest carbonara I have ever made - quick, simple clean up - tasted great! What I didn't like: - the start button takes several tries to work - there is a 'warming up' period before the actual cooking / searing started. My onions were half cooked before the 'cooking' had even started. I ended up adding the bacon early to stop the onion getting burnt. Neither of my two 'dislikes' were serious issues and could easily be overcome with a little experience. Overall, I am really impressed, if still a little intimidated, by this machine. I am really looking forward to learning what else it can do.
One pot wonders!
by stakyCombined rating
So last night I decided to give the Carbonara spaghettis a go for dinner. It starts off by sautéing the onion and garlic in the inner pot. I found that the onion and garlic had completely cooked already before the cooker had reached the starting temperature so next time I might add the ingredients in a bit later to avoid burning them. Then it is as simple as adding in all the other ingredients, set it for the stew/curry for 30 mins and waiting! I loved that I didn't need to stand over a pot while cooking. I was able to use this 30 mins to spend time with my kids which I loved! It was cooked to perfection and the spaghetti was so tasty! I added in some extra chicken and instead of only using water I used half water and half chicken stock for extra flavour. Definitely another meal to add to my regular dinners!
The great yoghurt catastrophe
by mom169129Combined rating
Our family loves yoghurt, and when I say "love" I'm talking a 1kg a week habit between two adults. When we saw that the Philips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker could make yoghurt we jumped for joy! What an exciting opportunity to not only save money (hello $1 milk - we are looking at you), but also to make a yoghurt that we know is 100% natural. The recipe in the recipe book that came with our cooker looked super simple! Throw 2 litres of milk and 180-200grams of yoghurt into the cooker and use the multi-cook function to create a creamy delicious yoghurt. FIRST ATTEMPT: After 8 hours we could not wait to see how our yogurt had turned out. We both opened the lid with anticipation only to be met with a watery milky yoghurt looking mess :(. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. Not a couple to give up we gave it a bit of a stir and left it overnight to see if it would thicken up (noting at this point that the recipe says the yoghurt is ready at the end of the 8 hours). Unfortunately the next morning we were met with the same watery mess. All that had changed was that the yoghurt was now a lumpy cottage cheese consistency. We even tried to add some chia seeds to thicken it (don't do that!). Straight in the bin! We revisited the recipe and realised that we had not brought the milk to room temperature before starting. SO.... we tried again. SECOND ATTEMPT: This time we made sure that we brought the milk to room temperature before starting the cooker. 8 hours later, the yoghurt was certainly more 'yoghurty' looking on the surface, but was still the watery mess underneath the surface. More sad faces :(. Always the optimists, we put it in the fridge again to see if it would thicken up! The next morning we woke to another watery mess - boo! Feeling deflated, we got on with our day. We couldn't work out what we were doing wrong. We were following the recipe exactly and ending up with a horrible end product. We decided to google some slow cooker yoghurt recipes to see if the recipe was missing some steps. Lo and behold it was. All the recipes said that at the end of the 8 hours you needed to strain the yoghurt through a muslin cloth to separate the yoghurt from the whey! We ran to the fridge and placed the yoghurt mixture into a strainer over a large bowl (we didn't have any muslin cloth to hand). An hour later we had creamy yoghurt and two hours later we had an even creamier delicious yoghurt! So, it wasn't us, it was the recipe! It was missing the third vital step of straining! THIRD ATTEMPT: Success! This time we warmed the milk up on the stove top before adding it to the cooker mainly because we forgot to leave it out of the fridge to warm up). As it turned out this worked really well. 8 hours later we had creamy yoghurt. We then left the unstirred (this is important) yoghurt mixture overnight in the cooker bowl in the fridge and strained it the next morning. Even as we poured it into our strainer we could see that it was already a far thicker consistency and it tastes delicious! LESSONS LEARNT: 1. WARM THE MILK: Don't use cold milk or you'll end up with a curdled mess at the end of the 8 hours. We found warming the milk to just above room temperature on the stove top worked really well. You could also do this in the cooker itself. 2. DO NOT STIR THE YOGHURT MIXTURE: Whatever you do, DO NO stir the yoghurt mixture before straining. Although the yoghurt will be ok once strained, it will not be as smooth a consistency. 3. STRAIN THE YOGHURT: You need to strain the yoghurt for an hour or more after it has finished "cooking". The longer you strain it, the thicker it will become. We found straining overnight worked really well for the kind of thick Greek yoghurt we like. Discard the watery whey product (or, alternatively, I have read you can use this high protein watery liquid in place of stock in recipes or for baking). So, in conclusion, the machine is GREAT for making yoghurt, but the recipe was missing the vital third step!
Delicious!

I used the all in one to make a packet cake mix, and it turned out great! All I did was mix the ingredients, pour into the pot, and set and forget! I set it for the time indicated on the cake packet, so wasn’t any quicker using the all in one. I felt more comfortable leaving the all in one on and unattended for 45 minutes though than I would have if I used the oven. The cake turned out a bit crispy on the bottom, and was a bit crumbly, but it tasted delicious. I would use this for everyday cakes I need to make, but would probably still use the oven for special occasion cakes such as birthdays, as it fell apart a bit when it was cut, and wasn’t as easy to eat in one piece.

This time we decided to try spaghetti bolognese - it sure was a hit! Easy and simple recipe to follow in the Phillips book recipe section. I have growing boys in my house so I do find that the portion sizes are a little small for them but that can easily be adjusted. We also like our spaghetti with a bit more sauce in it so next time I would add another tin of tomatoes or even some passata to it. I didn't have any red wine on hand which the recipe called for so I swapped it out for some stock liquid instead. I like that you can easily replace parts of the recipes with your own versions.
Easy to use cooker for delicious meals

This Philips All-In-One cooker is fabulous! We’ve never used a pressure cooker before so were a little anxious trying it, but the cooker was so simple to operate and the instructions were easy to follow. The first meal we cooked was a whole chicken, which was a recipe we found in the included recipe book. The chicken was cooked perfectly in just 45 minutes, and both my husband and I were amazed by how simple the clean up was after. Never will I need to buy a cooked chicken from a supermarket again!

As a busy working mum, I often worry about putting a healthy meal on the rabid for my family to eat, one that's also time friendly. With the Philips premium collection all in one cooker, I no longer have that worry. It comes with an awesome recipe book with easy to follow recipes. Every busy mum should have one if these in their kitchen cupboard
Not exactly finger-licken chicken

I've been using my Philips All-In-One at least once a day and, thanks to the ridiculously easy clean up, often 2-3 times a day. I have had some great hits and some not so fabulous misses. It has been a bit of a learning curve but I can see the potential and I'm definitely improving. I still love my All-In-One. This particular review is after my first real attempt at using the pressure cooker. I had decided to attempt the Olive, garlic and lemon chicken from the receipe book (minus the olives). I've never owned a pressure cooker before and was a bit nervous about it. I had vague recollections of hearing horror stories about exploding pressure cookers. I am happy to report there was nothing even close to an exploding pressure cooker (there wasn't even much steam when I vented it - what a let down). Unfortunately, my chicken wasn't that successful. The actual cooking process was straight forward. Baste and stuff the chicken, place it in the bowl then pressure cook for 45 minutes. When the timer went off I found that the chicken had not successfully cooked through and was broiling in its own juices combined with the butter and lemon juice. The juices came more than halfway up the chicken. As it was undercooked i placed the chicken back in the pressure cooker for another 15 minutes. Unfortunately, this must have been too long as when I opened the lid for the second time the meat was falling off the bone but tasted a little dry. I think some further practice may be required.
So excited that it has arrived!

I was so excited when this finally arrived last week. I had spent the last week researching all in one recipes, and knew I wanted to try a quiche as my first dish, as my twins go crazy for it! I spent some time going through the booklet to get an idea of how it worked, and it seemed pretty simple to use. All I had to do was mix everything up in a bowl, add to the inner bowl, and set and forget. It took me a bit to get it started, as you have to hold down the Start button for a few seconds, but once I worked this out it started warming and cooking. We had it on manual pressure cook for 10 minutes, but it didn't seem to 'pressure' much, and no steam was released when it finished. After taking the lid off it was clear it hadn't pressurised as no steam came out and it wasn't cooked. We did another manual pressure cook for 10 minutes, which completed the cooking process, but it still didn't build up any pressure. After 20 minutes the quiche was cooked beautifully (though a bit burnt on the bottom from the overcooking) and tasted delicious! After reading more info about this I think it didn't build up pressure as there wasn't enough liquid in there, so will try more next time. The next time I use this I am going to try the bake function and make a chocolate cake!
Garlic, herb & mustard lamb
by AzzyCombined rating
I've never cooked a roast in either a slow cooker or a pressure cooker. While the all in one was very easy to use and the lamb tasted alright at end, I had to put the meat on 3 pressure cooker cycles to cook all the way through. I will attempt a roast again however I will use the slow cooker function.
Beautiful Brownies
by SarahGKCombined rating
I have never baked brownies from scratch before, but found a recipe and gave it a go. I was a tad nervous about the brownie sticking to the pan, but have been pleasantly surprised at how good the non stick pot was, and again; total success. I didn't get the crispy top like in the oven, but instead the base was crispy and chewy, while the centre was nice and gooey. Very pleased.
Easy and delicous dinner!
by stakyCombined rating
I decided to give the Chicken Tikka Masala recipe a go for dinner. This recipe was supplied as part of the cookbook that came with the cooker. What I loved about his recipe is that you basically throw in all the ingredients, set and forget! It came out perfectly and was a massive hit at home. It will now be a regular for us! Plus it is also so easy to clean afterwards! Love, love, love!!
Ready, spaghetti, go!
by mom153728Combined rating
So the first dish I tried in the Phillips premium cooker was the spaghetti carbonara, everyone's favourite meal! I had all the ingredients in the cupboard and thought it was a great easy meal to start with whilst I'm getting g used to using the cooker. Instructions were easy to follow in the recipe book, I did realise luckily that the machine needed to heat up first before I popped in my onions and garlic and the 10minute timer started, if I had put them in from the start they would have been burnt to a crisp. Only a few stirs from myself of the onions, so it was bare minimum imput from me. Time for all the other ingredients to go in and reset the timer and I could go and play with my grizzly kids whilst it worked it's magic. I did have trouble with the start button and was frantically pushing away at it wondering why it wouldn't work but figured out I needed to hold it down for a few seconds (would be handy to have that in the manual) I was a little worried that the spaghetti was going to come out dry and undercooked but to my great surprise - it was perfect!!!!! Very keen to try my next dinner, or maybe breakfast......
Great cooker

The Philips premium all in one cooker is awesome and fantastic. I would recommend it to all of my family and friends and anyone that enjoys being able to prepare and leave their meals to cook. It's nice and easy to use, it is user friendly, and it's quite affordable. It can make a large variety of recipes and tasty ones at that too. Nice product thank you
The best way to bake a cake EVER!
by mom169129Combined rating
I was a little sceptical about baking a cake in my Phillips All-in-one cooker, which is why I have left it until now to try. BUT let me tell you, the bake function is where this Cooker has really made my life easier! As a low sugar and refined carbohydrate family we don't bake many mainstream cakes. However, the apple cinnamon cake in the recipe book took my fancy. (Note: I modified it slightly to suit our culinary preferences eg swapped margarine for coconut oil and reduced the sugar). I put the cake batter in the greased inner bowl, covered with apple slices (that I cut into 1/16 rather than 1/8) and set the bake function for 50 minutes. The cake turned out amazingly. It is moist, evenly baked and looks far more presentable than many other cakes I've baked in the oven. It was, despite my initial hesitation, very easy to remove from the inner bowl. Seriously people: give the bake function a go. It'll revolutionise your baking!
Cinnamon and Apple Oats - Yum!
by mom169129Combined rating
I posted a review a few weeks ago about my experiences using the Philips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker to cook oatmeal. Since posting that review my husband has asked for the oats every week for his work breakfast (that's winning in my book)! I wanted to add a few amendments to the recipe in the recipe book that comes with the machine though: 1. slice your apple (or other fruit of choice) rather than chopping it. We found chopping left the fruit still quite "raw" at the end of the cooking cycle; 2. use the saute high function to cook the fruit in a splash of water for about 10 minutes before adding the oats and other ingredients to the machine. We found this allowed the fruit to soften slightly and gave the overall oats a nicer texture; 3. 600ml of water isn't enough. We add 900ml to prevent the oats from sticking or getting dry. Trust me, the oats are tastier than my photo indicates! Overall, this is a great use of the machine and certainly one we will be cooking on almost a weekly basis in our house. Thanks Phillips!
My first spot of trouble
by mom153728Combined rating
I decided to make a Mexican chicken meatball soup, a staple in our house but usually made on the stove in a pot with lots of stirring and watching involved. I put the liquid in first with the chopped up veggies to boil first so they ended up tender, the Phillips premium cooker didn't seem to want to pressurize. I fiddled with it a bit and looked at the troubleshoot guide in the book that came with it and couldn't get it to work. The liquid was still quite hot so I decided to add the meatballs and see if I could get it to pressurize after that. Still wouldn't work...... I was out of ideas on how to fix it. After leaving it for 20mins to see if it would magically work I gave up, the liquid was still piping hot so it did manage to cook the meatballs anyway. Hopefully just a small hiccup and I can fix it for the next soup I make.
I baked a cake!!
by stakyCombined rating
So I decided to try out one of the recipes that came in the recipe book as my first test run. I baked the Apple Cake. The recipe was easy and setting up the cooker was super easy too. I found it a little hard to get it to start but I think if you hold down the Power/Start button for about 1-2 seconds then it starts. What I really love about this cooker is that it doesn't heat up your kitchen like a regular oven does. I'm also guessing that it uses less power than an oven, so it will be interesting to see how much my electricity bill goes! The cake baked wonderfully however it was a little crispy on the bottom. It still tasted great though! Maybe next time I'll cook it for about 5 mins less. I found it hard to get the cake out of the pan so next time I'll try and shimmy the cake out on the side rather than flipping it completely upside down! All in all, a great start!! I can't wait to try out more recipes!
It has arrived!

I am so excited that my Philips Premium Collection All-In-One Cooker has arrived! There are so many features to this cooker that it can be a bit overwhelming at first. But if you take the time to read the recipe book that it comes with then it will all start to make sense. I love that there are several different cooking methods to use such as: slow cook, bake, sear, stew, steam. I'm also excited to learn that there is a 12 hour automatic keep warm function. This will be perfect for those days I'm at work. It means I can come home to a lovely warm meal without the fear of it being over-cooked or burnt! Now with so many options, I've just got to decide what to cook first!!
Great cooker

I love to use all in one cookers and also slow cookers. They are simple and easy to use and make anyone feel like a good cook. They are time efficient and cost effective. I have encouraged all my children to get one and Phillip is a well known and trusted brand.
Really good Risotto
by SarahGKCombined rating
Very excited to receive my Philips Cooker, I had high expectations, as I like the Philips brand, and have used many of their other great products. The machine looks fantastic, with a clear simple display. I decided to make risotto, as I love making it, but find it very time consuming. I used the mushroom risotto recipe as a base, but added chicken and bacon too. Having had a look over the instructions beforehand and having prepped my ingredients I then got extremely frustrated, as the start button was not working. Whereas all the other buttons need a tap to use, I eventually worked out that the start button needs to be held for 2 seconds for it to work. By this point I was very annoyed, as I had re-read the instructions, and got my partner to have a try, before having to walk away for a minute. It needs to say in the instruction manual about this. Once I got it going all was well. It heated up reasonably quickly, and while I was a little nervous about using the pressure cooker function there was no need. I was a tad pessimistic that once the onions etc were browned off that I could just throw in the rice and liquid and walk away. But that's what I did, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The texture was just perfect. Not gloopy or mushy, absolutely great rice. The risotto was a hit, and the automatic keep warm function great, as I just had to go back for seconds. I couldn't believe how non-stick the pan was, it was so quick to clean, even after leaving it for a while, so very pleased. The machine itself is great, and I am excited to try more of the recipes, I am just somewhat disappointed about the instruction/recipe book. Not only does it not mention the need to hold down the start button, but there are spelling mistakes too, which I was disappointed about given my previous experience with Philips, and that I see them as such a quality company, the book seems like it has been rushed, and does not have the clearest instructions. This is definitely a good cooker for those who don't follow recipes exactly, and once you get used to all of the functions I can see it being a delight to use and help to reduce time stirring and monitoring, and great for those like me who usually struggle to cook rice well.
Magic in a box

Excitement was an understatement when the postie arrived with my new Phillips all in one cooker. It was like Christmas Day all over again. The premium cooker was very well packaged and no fiddly bits to cut or unwrap. Best thing ever was it came with a free recipe book to get my creative juices flowing in the kitchen. It has really simple instructions on how to use it and handy tips on each recipe to get the best results with either normal or pressurised cooking. The only downside is now what to choose to cook tonight, I want to try them all.
Perfect cooker

This cooker is one of the best purchases I have ever made. It is so easy to use. It is so easy to cook with and it is so conventient. I love that I can prep and place and it cooks it all for me and is ready when it is tastes fantastically it is also easy to clean and simple to follow the instructions to use. There are quite a few settings so can take a bit to get used to but does not take that long.
Hooray it's arrived!

Hooray! My Phillips All-in-One Cooker has finally arrived - I was beginning to think someone had played a cruel joke on me - lol! I have been so eager to try this cooker out that I made the apple cinnamon oats recipe as soon as it arrived. The recipe is in the recipe book that came with the cooker and it seemed super easy to use. The only problem I had with the cooker was that I didn't realise I had to hold the start button down for a few seconds for it to work. I found that I needed to add some water to the recipe towards the end as the oats nearly caught on the cooker. That addition seemed to help alot and the oats were creamy and delicious when they came out of the cooker. However, the apple was still almost raw. My chopped apple appeared to be the same size as in the picture in the recipe book but I resolved to chop it smaller the next time I made it. My husband has been enjoying these oats for his breakfast on night shift and asked me to make them again!!! NOTE: The second time I made this recipe I adopted the changes I considered above and also par cooked the apples before adding them to the recipe (in addition to chopping them smaller). The changes to the recipe worked really well and I will be making this healthy recipe for my husband's breakfasts from now on! Thanks Phillips :)
Lamb Korma
by mom169129Combined rating
I've always wanted to cook a curry in a slow cooker. My husband and I are curry traditionalists so rather than use the lamb korma recipe in the Phillips recipe book we decided to use our own but be guided by the amount of liquid recommended in the recipe book. We usually cook our lamb korma on the stove top, so we were excited to give the slow cooker a go because if it worked then we'd be saving ourselves hours of slaving away over the hot stove :) Using a recipe we had cooked many times before proved useful for this review as it enabled us to fully appreciate the Cooker's capabilities. We knew our Lamb Korma was good but the All-In-One Cooker really took the meat tenderness to the next level. It was truly delicious. Our only criticism would be that the meat looked a little anaemic and could have done with some browning with some flour before adding it to the slow cooker. I think I'll do that next time using the sear function as it will thicken the sauce up to a more "curry-like" consistency. NOTE: I only had half the amount of lamb that was specified in the Phillips recipe book so I had to Google how to reduce a recipe in the slow cooker. Most recipes suggested reducing the cooking time by 1/4, which made my cooking time 4.5 hours. It turns out that timing was wrong. I had to cook the curry for the full 6 hours as recommended for double the amount of meat in the Phillips recipe book.
