Review: New Beginnings Electric Breast Pumps

As a mum of 7, all of whom I have breastfed, I’ve tried a few different pumps throughout the years and this pump was awesome! I’ve always dreaded having to pump. The New Beginnings Electric Pump was actually a pleasure to use! Gentle, quiet and portable!

So as a mum with two under two, exclusively breastfeeding the youngest and not responding well to my current electric pump (30ml/hr on a good day, ugh) I jumped at the opportunity to trial the New Beginnings products and I am so, so glad I did! Literally met my postie at the door, popped the kids down for a nap and opened my new toy and I was not disappointed. Upon opening the box I was met with not one but two bottles to pump in (a smaller and larger size) AND two newborn teats! There was also all the parts including a number of spares, the pump, the motor and of course a user guide. The pump itself has a wonderful silicone part that is built with massaging pads and was incredibly easy to put together and pull apart. The user guide was easy to follow, not that there’s much too it, this pump pretty much turns on and does all the hard work itself! The real winner however was the motor! It’s cute (right! A cute pump motor finally), small and the best part - quiet!! Ok so being quiet wasn’t the best part, that would be the 80ml I expressed in 15min! So happy with this pump, can’t wait to keep using it and give myself a night out!

It's been 3 weeks since I first got my mitts on the New Beginnings Single Electric Breast Pump which I thought was fantastic from its first use. But as time goes on it just gets better. At the moment I use the pump about 4 times per day. In my first video review I wasn't using the lanyard that comes with the pump, but now I definitely am! The lanyard attaches to the small but powerful motor and when worn around my neck frees up my hands to do other mum things which is a total time saver. I used the pump at play group last Tuesday and every mum there was so envious of the pocket rockets size, quiteness and portability. I'm so glad that New Beginnings breast pumps have hit the market for use by all Aussie breastfeeding, committed & super busy but so deserving mums.

I had my doubts about its strength, especially while using the battery but I found it was strong, quiet and discreet. I am familiar with several other brands and this was better than the pumps provided in hospital. The portability of it is so handy, there is no need to get anxious about rushing home to express. I love it!

I was super impressed with the New Beginnings Single Electric Breast Pump I was sent for review. What I loved most... It was easy to use and could be cleaned throughly with an antibacterial surface wipe. The instructions it came with were easy to read and simple. It's helped me establish my supply and allowed me to pump a little extra milk for freezing for later use. The machine is quite, small but still has the power of the more expensive pumps on the market. It came as a complete package with bottles, bottle stand and replacement valves & membranes. My baby took to the bottle teats instantly. The 14 different speeds and 2 rhythmic suctions allowed for a good let down of milk. I've been able to use the machine while out and about and on our recent holiday as its cordless. The silcone cover that attaches to the pump body was comfortable while placed on my breast. It displays the time you have been pumping. I could express a full feed (both breast sides) in around 15 minutes or express excess milk after a breastfeed in around 10 minutes. When fully charged I would get 3 full sessions of expressing before needing to be recharged. Things I would have liked to have seen... A bag to store the breast pump and its goodies in. A bottle stand that fitted both large and small bottles appropriately. I really think I would have given up breastfeeding early on if I hadn't used a breast pump. Overall, I think the New Beginnings Electric Breast Pump is a great value pump package for its power and convenience.

So after using the New Beginnings Double Electric Breast pump I have been amazingly suprised. This pump is incredible. The ability to recharge and use on the go (perfect for those working mums who can charge through usb at work) has to be my favourite feature. With needing to have hospital appointments due to gall bladder surgery this pump made it so easy for me to pump when out in environments where wall sockets are hard to find. I was previously using a medela swing and this pump got more milk, faster in comparison Medela 120mls in 20mins, New Beginnings 120mls+ in 10 mins. The pump is reasonably quiet and the inclusions of 4 bottles (2 sizes) was an added bonus. I would recommend this pump as a great versatile option to other mums and reckon it is a strong contender in the Breast Pump market.

The cushion padding in the flange make it very comfortable when pumping. The controller fits into one hand and you can use your thumb to change the settings. The pump itself is nice and quiet which will be great for when I return to work in a corporate environment as I will most likely be using a meeting room - no one will ever know! The design is lovely and the colours on the entire kit is sophisticated and doesn’t scream ‘baby-product’. It is so compact and convenient for on-the-go usage. The best feature is the USB so I can pump in the car without carrying around batteries or worrying about running out of power.

I have had the pleasure of owning this pump for a short time and I am very impressed. It is super quiet, very, very gentle and most of all very effective. I have used other pumps previously and found them to be much less comfortable with less ‘output’. I highly recommend this to breastfeeding Mums to purchase for themselves or as a baby gift purchase for first time Mums to be. It’s gentle, effective and so easy to use. Great, portable size as well.

I always dread the initial start up of an electric breast pump, one day I think my nips will actually be ripped off.. but with new beginnings double pump there is no more being nervous beginning a pump session it’s extremely gentle and comfortable. The battery life isn’t as long as some pumps I have used but it charges quickly. I quite like this pump and would recommend to my mum friends

Currently on a holiday without the baby and this pump has been amazing for travel from Townsville to Sydney. I could use on the go and it is quite compact to carry in my small backpack around the city and through airports. I was greatful I didnt need to find a power point and could use the charged power during the day.

Wow I loved this pump so lightweight and super easy to use. I love that I could adjust the strength of let down setting as previously I have used other pumps that do not let you do this the just had the one settling. I used the pump without the comfort cushion and found it to be very comfortable. In fact I didn’t even try with the comfort cushion. I was super engorged at 11pm one night as my 14 week old did a huge stretch in her sleep and was able to pump 150mls in 5 minutes from one breast instant relief. So fast! I love how portable it is always so easy to pack and take with me when I need it. Also my daughter had decided to refuse the avent natural bottles I had and the shape of the teat on the new beginnings bottle was different and she took to it really easily. Highly recommend this pump! So much in such a small pump.

This pump is ideal for every pumping mum. I previously was using a very well known pump brand which I loved but always wished it was a little more portable and quiet, I can easily say this pump has replaced it and I can not fault it. I have 4 kids under 5 (1 is my newborn) and life is chaotic at the best of times. The pump does not need to be plugged in so it gave me the luxury of still being mobile and attending to my other children when they needed me and I needed to express. I love the different functions, having the let down function was something my old pump never had so I wasn't getting all the milk I could have. The pump is super gentle and quiet also so my husband never heard me pump during the night . I can't recommend this product enough.

This breast pump is super compact yet very powerful. I love how it is a battery pack in 1 just charge it and go and counts how long you’ve pumped for! I managed to express a very large amount in a very small amount of time which is what a busy mum needs. I’ve tried a couple of very popular brands and this pump is more efficient than any I’ve tried so far.

This pump is so quiet yet so effective, I wish I have had this 4 years ago when my first daughter was born. I am not dreding returning to work next month as this pump has just made my life easier.

Quiet and gentle Great for back to work mums , Mums on the run And mums that are building their supplies so they can have a couple of hours to themselves. Easy to set up and pack away The usb is a fantastic idea as you can use the pump in the car as well. The whole kit is light and doesn’t take up much room so you can keep in your nappy bag which is handy.

I have been using an Avent pump for the last few years, it has always worked for me so I didn't realise what I was losing out on. This new beginnings pump is amazing. It is so much smaller and so so quiet that I am not getting a headache while pumping or driving my husband nuts while he is trying to watch TV.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a the new beginnings gift hamper when my son was born. I was new to breast feeding and didn't know what i was doing. I was amazed at how gentle the suction was i felt little to no discomfort also it is so quiet compared to others on the market. The pump has a usb charge which is so handy for when you are out and about. I highly recommend this to any new mums trying breast feeding.

As a mum of twins with a manual breast pump, this beauty saved me so much time and head ache. Easy to use, great pump, would recommend it to anyone with twin girls or even just the single pump for single babies. Couldn't be happier! Is your self a favor if pregnant and get one of these. If you’re looking for a pump that gives you high volume in very little time, the New Beginnings Double Breast Pump is the one to buy! I was excited to have the opportunity to review this cute little pump and compare it to the single one I’ve used for my first and the new bubba. My first four pumps, all of which were soon after a feed, gave me between 180-230mls - more than a whole feed! I have a major branded single pump and was getting around 60mls in 30 mins (15 mins each side) when pumping after a feed. With two kids time is precious and I was finding it so hard to make time for pumping, causing a lot of anxiety. This one has blown me away! Here’s my run down of the pros and cons to help you decide if it’s the one for you: Pros: * Easy to use, the touch pad makes it easier to juggle the double pump and still use the controller * Quiet so I can pump in my sons room without disturbing him or while my husband and I watch tv when the kids are in bed (if we’re lucky!) * Pumped more in less time than a comparison major branded pump and only using a low level suction * Convenience of pumping both sides at once * Lots of suction levels to choose a comfortable one * Shows how long you’ve been pumping * Looks cute * Pumps directly into bottle * Alternates suction on each side * Fairly quick letdown with stimulation mode * Rechargeable battery so you don’t have to keep buying batteries and makes it portable Cons: * Fairly comfortable but without a removable flange you can’t get different sizes if you need a different one * When you change suction level it stops for a few seconds before restarting at the new suction level, that can be a little disruptive to the flow but overall doesn’t impact volume * Pump doesn’t fit on a normal size bottle so you have to use the new beginnings bottles only. Not a huge issue as you get 4 in the pack * Would be handy to have a carry strap for mobility and a little bag for taking it with you For me, saving time and getting huge volume makes this one a winner for me. I've been waiting for notification that I was approved for this review. So I was surprised when I had to go to the post office to pick up a large parcel, thinking it might be something for my son from his hospital. Then I opened the box and couldn't wait to get home to try it. Is a cute little machine, and came with. 2small bottles and 2 large bottles. The breastshields had the silicon inserts to help massage and for easy on the go charging it charges via a usb point. Now getting the milk, I chose not to wait the extra hour for my next pumping session and wow, I got 110mls in 9 mins. I have one of the more popular portable pumps that is quite bulky to carry around with everything else I need for my newborn son and this one will be much easier to go instead. The double pump does single mode as well and unlike other pumps the suction mode alternates sides instead of both in sync with was quite different. The motor is so quiet so I will be testing to see if I will actually need to leave our bedroom at night when I need to pump. The pumping itself was very gentle that I did have to check a couple time to see if it was still auctioning and to my surprise it was. I will definitely be recommending this pump to other mothers to try.

So when I first tried this breast pump, I didn’t realise the battery was rechargeable so I had it plugged into my laptop whilst I sat there pumping, once I knew that I moved myself outside where I could let my other child play outside whilst keeping my ears open to the younger one. It was nice being outside in the sunshine, I almost go crazy from being indoors. I still haven’t worked out how to use the stand though. It still doesn’t click in.

I was really surprised how small and cute this pump is! It’s a nice colour and not ugly and bulky like other brands. First impression of the pump was how comfortable it is to put on! With soft silicone around the breast it made pumping so comfortable and not a chore. The suction is really strong and the long slow pumps seem to draw out the milk better than fast short pumps which is great. Within 5 minutes I got about 50 ml of milk which is a lot for me! Im glad I have a pump that I can discreetly put in my bag when going out and be able to pump quickly and effectively to go. Would 100% recommend this pump, so simple and straight forward, too.

I purchased the New Beginnings double pump while pregnant and having used the Medela brand in hospital with a reasonable amount of discomfort and varied success I wasn't looking forward to my at-home pumping routine. I'm happy to say that my fear and hesitation was misplaced! The New beginnings pump is easy to use, gentle on your breasts and nipples, and pleasantly effective as milk extraction regardless of whether you are using it as a single or double pump. With the added bonus of the pump motor being portable (it fits in a robe pocket), it makes tending to baby while pumping much easier.

To say I was excited to review the New beginnings electric double breast pump is an understatement. I was pleasantly surprised at just how effective this pump is. I exclusively express for my little babe so an effective breast pump is a must. This pump is great I felt like it emptied my breasts in half the time of my usual pump. It was comfortable and super quiet. I love that the noise that came from it wasn’t disturbing like other pumps I have used. The only downside I have found so far is that it is super hard to use with my hands free bra given that the flanges are not removable. As an exclusive pumper it’s important for me to be able to express hands free. I worked my way around this but it wasn’t easy. But it is a great pump and I would recommend this to my other mum friends

Wow! This pump should be a must have for all new mum's who want to breast feed. It's so easy to use, so comfortable and really quiet. Even with sore nipples the discomfort is minimal. I love the USB power supply, makes it easy to use when out and about. I will definitely recommend

I had my baby 12 weeks ago and have been a little lazy on pumping. Bubs is definitely a boobie monster, and being my third baby in 4 years, it’s hard to find time to pump. I love how compact it came and the packaging was great. Super easy to wash and get ready for a first time use. I love that it is portable and rechargeable with a usb! I even charged it in the car. Really handy with the next strap and the battery lasted a long time. I can only compare with my spectra S2, and to me, they are on par with each other. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. The machine is fairly quiet. The pumping motion hurt a tad at first but I’m not sure if that’s because I haven’t pumped much, or I’m just used to the S2. Overall very happy with the product.

This is my second breast pump so I had something to compare it to. Firstly, the USB power source is just genius! I could pump whilst watching a tv show on my laptop, the cord is also long enough so I could manoeuvre around my desk. The pump is quiet but not silent which is ok. It’s ok to use, sometimes comfortable and sometimes not so I had to adjust it a few times. The pump holder I couldn’t use properly even with lots of strength trying to get it into the holder so it could stand by itself. The lids to the pump and the top part of the bottle wouldn’t stay on, it kept falling off which was annoying when you only have one hand available. It also comes with two bottles and two teats which is very generous and very convenient. Overall, it’s a good pump with lots of convenience.

I was sceptical at first as my first born had so much trouble with electric pumps so gave up. After using this I am now convinced this is the best pump I’ll ever use. Fits easily and quiet. T

I must say at first I didn’t like this pump. I found it didn’t remove my milk that well, but after using it a few times it was working really well! I think it was a combination of not using the right settings and also my supply was a bit low. I love how it uses a USB charger! It’s compact and you don’t need a huge bag to carry it around. I also like the bottle holders so that the bottles don’t tip over while transferring your milk. It can take a bit of getting used to the different settings but overall it’s a great little pump! I did find it didn’t “suck” hard enough for me at times but I am unsure whether it’s because I’m not used to pumping ? My daughter wasn’t a fan of the teats, she gagged a few times, but due to needing to use pigeon bottles as per our lactation consultant, I just pumped straight into those bottles (they don’t quite screw on properly but I found they worked well enough!) I’m aiming to use this pump about 3 times a day and hopefully once I get the hang of pumping, the milk output will increase! I think this pump would probably suit users who only pump a few times a day and not exclusive pumpers. It’s quiet, compact and portable, perfect for on the go! Battery life is good, lasts about 4-5 pumping sessions (I double pump around 10 minutes, maybe I need to increase that to get more milk?) I haven’t really tested the limits of the battery though as I get a bit anxious about low battery lol I will also be doing a video review once I get my voice back!

I enjoyed using this pump. Did not find the suction as strong as other pumps. But the compact size and the USB option I found to be very handy for on the go pumping I preferred using it without the rubber part as it gave me better suction but overall for the size it is a great product especially for working mums
