Review: Maggi One Pan Chicken, Pumpkin and Baby Spinach Risotto

Can't believe how easy it was to use, great for mum's like me who are busy and working hard trying to keep my children and husband healthy. Really tasty and kids loved it too and the fact that it has vegetables and they still ate it is a good thing. I recommended to others already and they have bought and tried for themselves. Thanks heaps.

We love this risotto and now cook it every Wednesday night after basketball training as it is quick and easy to prepare and cook. All my kids absolutely love the taste and always ask me if they can have seconds. I really enjoy it too and making it with the kids helping is a bit of family fun! The last time i made it i also added mushrooms whack was very yummy!

I happily purchased a wide range of Maggi products after reading the reviews by Mom’s community members on these products. I decided to test out the recipes on the hungry family. Now when we go shopping the request is for Maggi. I am happy to buy Maggi as the recipes are quick and easy and tasty too!

It was so quick & easy to make the chicken, pumpkin & spinach risotto - and it tasted fantastic! I cooked ours in the rice cooker, made it even easier - browned the chicken in the pot, added the onion & pumpkin for a few minutes, then added the mix, half the recommened water, cream, put the lid on and left it until it switched to the keep warm setting. added the spinach for a few minutes and served! added a bit extra cream as we like things creamy - highly recommend!

Wow - the whole family loved this - hubby, 7,5 and 2 yr old! Straight away that is a win! :-) I adapted it to the Thermomix via the recipe on the back and it was simple and easy to follow. I used the gram amounts included in brackets and added alot more spinach (which I could have added even more as it still disappeared - and we love spinach!) I added the whole sachet mixture and boiling water after sautéing the onion, pumpkin and chicken and cooked for approx 16 mins then put in the Thermoserver. We were all so impressed with the flavour and ease of this recipe - I have already shared the recipe to 2 other friends and only cooked it tonight! :-) I am a new Thermomix owner and am always excited when I find a recipe that is easy and delicious to feed my family! Will be definitely buying again and recommending to friends and family! Thanks for the trial!!

Very tasty. Loved the fact that it was “one pan” which means there was less things to clean up afterwards! Adults and my very fussy 6 year old daughter enjoyed and even asked for more. Would make again, thanks! :)

I close my business at 3pm and open again at 6pm. In that time, I have to race around, pick my kids up from daycare, bath and dress them and cook a decent dinner! This product is great! A quick, easy, balanced meal with very few dishes to wash! My girls cleaned their plates (which is a rare occurence) and my husband who generally isn't a fan of rice, had a second helping. I highly recommend you try it.

I have tried on many occasions to get the wow factor in many of my risotto and it seem to be a hit and miss in my household but I got it with this product the pumpkin flavor is fantastic my older kids loved this specially my middle son who hates any kind of veggies including pumpkin it was easy to use and saved me on time where I make my own stock which can take some time would use again and I would defiantly use this product and any other in this range and would recommend it again to family and friends Great Product:)

The Maggi chicken, pumpkin and baby spinach risotto was delicious and was so simple I did it in the rice cooker and it was even better. my kids loved the taste and made for an enjoyable meal as I didn't have to tell the kids to eat 20 times. I have even brought it again to have in the cupboard.

Our family really enjoyed this. Very easy to make the ingredients needed were items l already had so that is always a bonus. The flavor was more like something homemade not a packet mix. l would definitely buy and recommend. l liked the idea that the items l added were all healthy. Well, this one was certainly a hit in our house! My girls even asked for seconds (which is a very rare occasion - unless its sweets)! My husband and I also enjoyed the flavours, was actually alot better than I thought it would be. The one pan aspect of it was fabulous, less washing up required and that is a massive bonus for me! I will definitely be buying this again, might try another flavour as well, I have already recommended it to my mum! Well done Maggi!

What a great product. I was able to whip up this meal in under 30 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised in how great the meal was without adding additional seasonings of any type. The ingredients and cooking times were also accurate, something a lot of packets do not get right. I will be buying this product.

I received my free samples on Friday, having nothing organised for dinner I decided to attempt my FIRST EVER Risotto. I honestly have never made a Risotto before because I thought it would be messy and to time consuming. Wow was I wrong. This product was extremely easy to use. Instructions were spot on and made my experience pleasing. Not only was my house smelling awesome whilst cooking, my family kept coming into the kitchen to see how long dinner would be. Seriously doing a "Happy Dance".

This was so yummy, my family loved it my 2 yr old asked for seconds and he hates rice normally with sauce on it, this was quick to do and the ingredients are on the front of the packet that you need to go with it. This cooked up wonderfully in the electric frypan and I really only needed to stir in a few times. Will recommend this to any family

Having already tried the Maggie One Pan Chicken, Mushroom and Leek Risotto I knew we had to try this one too. This was so tasty, and filling, and easy to make... and I included some mushrooms too. A big hit in our house.

This is very easy to make and a new favorite in my household. My fussy 3yr old cleans her plate each and every time that I make this and then tells all her friends at daycare that they have to try it. I found it very quick and easy to make.

To start with, my family is not a risotto fan. This is my first shot at making one and to tell the truth, my family and I are not disappointed. We absolutely fall in love with this dish. The blending and mixture of flavours is just awesome. The combination of chicken and pumpkin plus the seasoning in the mix has the "it" taste that makes you crave for more. To top them all, I didn't think fetta would be nice with rice but it was perfect. Fetta gave that "kick" in the overall flavour that makes the dish "more-ish."

MAGGI ONE PAN CHICKEN, PUMPKIN AND BABY SPINACH RISOTTO was by far my families favourite dinner. This was incredibly easy to prepare and cook and all in one pot. My husband couldn't get enough and he is hassling me to make it again soon. Definitely a regular addition to my shopping list.

I've never made a risotto until I recieved the sample as I thought they would be time consuming and hard to make, this product changes that, dinner was prepped within 15 minutes and that was while holding an unsettled baby at the same time! The taste was amazing my whole family enjoyed it! I will definitely be purchasing this product again!

I cooked the risotto last night knowing my partner isn't a great fan of risotto.....BUT he loved it and even took left overs for lunch today! Was really easy to make and follow the instructions. This was a great meal to make, l used chicken breasts cut up into small pieces and then added Veggies from my garden, from carrots, onions- shallots, broad beans, brussels spouts, beans, capsicums, cabbage, beetroot, corn, peas and leafy veggies like spinach leaves and others. all l did was mix it all in as it says on the packet and also added my own touch with prawns bacon bean sprouts, egg( a bit like fried rice), it tasted amazing, l will definitely be using this again.

My 3 year old has been very fussy at dinner lately and I cooked this up and gave it to her, and she ate it all (she did question why I put seaweed in it), and my 10 year old has asked for more. I have never done a dinner all in one pan before and found it really easy and I am a huge fan of risotto so it was an all round winner for everyone. I will be recommending this to my friends with kids, as it is filling and easy, next time I think I will add more pumpkin.

My whole family absolutely love the taste and it was so easy to cook. Don't need to constantly stand over the pan stirring only need to do it every now and then to make sure the rice is absorbing the beautiful flavor of the liquid and is relatively quick to make

I made this for my family and by family I mean 6 adults!!! My husband and I live with my parents and we also have my brother and his wife living with us atm as they are renovating. Plus my 15 month old daughter and their 11 month old son!! I brought 2 packets and just doubled all the ingredients, it was so easy to use and loved that you only need one pan!!! Everyone loved the taste and even had seconds! The only thing I would change is there wasn't much chicken in it even when doubling the ingredients. My daughter ate all of hers (but she's not really a fussy eater!) I would definitely make this again as it was really easy and tasty but I'll use more chicken

I found this meal to be easy and quick to prepare. There's no big clean up at the end. I feel it is quite healthy with all the ingredients in it. I did as the recipe suggested and put spinach in it and the kids didn't even notice. They ate it all, wanted more and told me to make it again. Win win. My husband said he liked the taste.

Thank you Maggi!! I have always loved eating risotto, but never have I thought of making it myself, as it just seemed to complicated. My people can be fussy eaters (especially my partner) so going to lots of trouble to then have it end with no one eating it, just didin't appeal to me. I tried MAGGI risotto and I love it!! the kids loved it, they asked for seconds! It has become a staple in my pantry and so simple to make with a great end result.

My partner always makes risotto whenever we have it so I was not allowed to make this one, he wanted to. But he did a fantastic job! The risotto was soo creamy and full of flavour! The pumpkin added a really nice taste too. We loved this and will definately buy it in the future to make again. Thank you for introducing us to this great dish.

Despite my doing everything to ruin this meal it was really yummy! Unfortunately I was doing several things at once and not only put in double the amount of water (and when I realised chucked in extra rice to make up for it) but I also burnt the bottom a little. This was only because I was running in and out of the room washing kids hair and various other things, not because the recipe was at all difficult. Because of all this the flavour wasn't as strong as it would've been but it was still really yummy and I'll definitely buy it and try again as the kids loved it. A yummy and cheap meal :)

If your in a hurry this is for you. No more slaving of the stove. Even though it is quick to prepare it doesn't lack taste as it has loads of flavour. I recommand this even for the fussy eaters ( I have a few in my household they liked it which is unusual for them ).

Having a recipe that has all its goodness in one is great, the rice tastes wonderful and fills up your belly and the mixture of the recipe base gives it that extra flavouring, you can really just have the sauce and risotto together and your toddlers would love the flavour. But with all the ingredients put together is an amazing dish, filled with flavours that jumps out of your mouth. The mixture of Chicken, Pumpkin, baby spinach and Risotto rice blended together is perfect, wouldn't want it any other way. Definitely great for large families as it does go a long way.

Loved this one, my boys dont eat pumpkin or spinach so spent the first 10 mins picking it all out lol! Great flavour, was a little wet for me, and I added a good handful of parmesan cheese at the end! Totally love this and will make it again and again!

Easy to use and tasted great. I added some sun dried tomatoes and topped it with parmesan and cheese. My kids loved it too and actually ate all the veggies. My version didn't look as pale as that on the packet but it could be due to adding the tomatoes. I would definitely purchase this again soon and make it one of my regular meals. Might even add some feta next time.

I could have summed up my review in 3 words: convenience, ease and flavour! My family loved this meal!. It was so easy to make all in one pan and it was nice to have a simple meal that is different from one we normally make. We will definitely be adding this into our food rotation.

I loved this one pan risotto! Wasn't sure about the baby spinach but the dish had a unique flavour to it. I also loved the fact I was able to mash/puree it a bit for my son, who just kept wanting more! Will definately buy it again, it was so easy to make and a great addition to the pantry!

I thought about not following the ingredient suggestion on the pack as none of my family apart from myself will eat pumpkin. Despite this I went ahead with the pumpkin and baby spinach. I got raving reviews of how nice it was, from my husband and the kids. They ate the lot including the pumpkin. Smooth creamy and full of flavour, I would recommend this as a family meal.

made this thinking kids would not give it a go...i was wrong. it went really quickly. i thought i'd have leftovers for work but my eldest went back for seconds :) very pleased. will recommend and buy again

My second review of a Maggi product. Again so quick and easy to use. only one pot to clean. I did add some bacon but otherwise followed the recipe. Do hope there are more flavours on the supermarket shelf to try. Hubby like the taste which is just great. I did find it a little messy extracting all the past from the sachet tho'.

I found the recipe easy to follow not too many ingredients. To be honest I was expecting it to be bland but was quite surprised it tasted yum. All I added was a little salt and pepper, hubby grated a little pecorino but thats the Italian in him. I would defiantly have this one again.

The Maggi Risotto was a easy meal to make, even with a whingy toddler at heel, it cooked to the packets recommendation. The whole household enjoyed the flavour and seconds were had by Mr 1 and Miss 10, who were very upset there wasn't any more. My fussy husband even went back for seconds! We are all very satisfied with the meal and would definitely purchase this in the future.

A convenient and simple to cook, great tasting risotto the family loved. The taste was delicious, my son even asked for seconds and he usually struggles to eat his dinner. The flavour was rich and creamy and masked the vegetable taste very well so the kids didn’t complain about pumpkin, mushrooms or spinach in the dish. I was a little apprehensive with this dish whether I would like it as I hadn't tried risotto before let alone cook it. I loved it, it wasn't difficult to cook and the meal was very tasty. I recommend this one pot meal to all. It was a very enjoyable meal.

Loved this dish. Was sceptical after knowing hard risotto is to make and how many extra ingredients I had to buy to complete the dish but was very pleasantly surprised. I loved this product. So easy to cook and in one dish. The flavours blended well and it was quite quick to prepare and did not take ages to cook.There are no children in our house but i think my kids and grandkids will love this one! I will be making it for them next time they visit! I am going to try this in my pressure cooker as i think it would work if the water content is reduced a little!

I loved this product so easy to use and the whole family loved it. I added a sprinkle of fresh dill and a squeeze of lemon juice to finish it off before serving. Delicious

I love using maggi one pan! It easy to use, especially for Mums like myself who aren't good cookers at the best of times. The last thing you need is a intense and million step process. Its easy to remember and after a few times you even remember what components you need without having to check your list. We enjoyed more then the kids, Baby Sam just decided to squish the spinach in his high chair! But most bowls were empty, and i went back for seconds!

I think this product is great. Everything is cooked in the one pot so less washing up to do. Healthy meal for the whole family and it does not take long to prepare. I think next time I try it I will put mushrooms in it. I would also add more cream but that is just the way I would enjoy it

Loved this product. Very quick to make when time is of the essence! The pack makes four large serves so it provided 2 meals for me and hubby instead of one. The second night I sauteed some sliced mushrooms and stirred in half a jar of spicy Rogan Josh with the chicken risotto and served it piping hot with some saratoga chips I made and freshly cooked beans! Delicious! This MAGGI product gets a big tick in the economical stakes!

This one pan dinner creation was a hit with my family. Even my oldest daughter who rarely eats rice gave it a go and to my surprise and hers she quite enjoyed it. It has a real hearty favour to it. A great home cooked meal and all in one pan which made clean up a breeze as well. If you love rice then I definately recommend you try this meal base.

Found that by following the instructions on the packet there was not a problem... I enjoyed making up, but instead of chicken I used Pork, husband not a lover of chicken... the risotto was simple to make, and I served it with some fresh green beens. With the rice it made a filling meal, and was great to have as a change...plus plenty of mashed sweet potato, and some normal potato. family agreed they would like to have again , so looking to buy when shopping next week.

1 child turned up their nose at it when being made and said they hated it BUT once they ate it, demolished it and asked for more!!! Whole family really liked it, decent full serves with a little left over for a small 'arvo' snack the next day.

very easy to use, great flavor and taste, kids ate it with no fuss (yay). would def recommend to others to use, as its so quick and simple to use, can make at the 5 o'clock rush when everyone is hungry for your attention and the baby doesn't want to leave you alone.

This risotto was quick to make and easy directions to follow. The taste was creamy and light. Perfect for a family short on time and with hungry young mouths to feed. You could add any other veggies that your family likes to this meal to mix it up if you wanted. Another great Maggi meal :-)

What a hit. No more spending time at the stove, endlessly stirring risotto. A big hit with adults and kids. Excellent flavours and certainly something that you play with the base ingredients to get the perfect risotto flavour (eg - change chicken for prawn or chorizo). This was very easy to cook and used all lovely fresh ingredients that usually you would only cook separately. It made up so much we had leftovers for lunch the next day.

I love risotto yet it seems to take ages to make but now I have found the most easy and quick to make recipe for risotto. I made double for work meals and it tasted better re heated. Xxx. I was unsure about freezing this recipe yet the ingredients kept well for a week.I placed it in zip top plastic bag and froze . They virtually took a up no space.

Wow : I followed Nikki's directions and my risotto turn out perfect. This is truly a one pot wonder meal, quick and delicious and no sink or bench top full of dirty bowls and dishes. I loved the freshness of the dish and the combination of ingredients were perfectly matched. Maggi you really are magic.

Fantastic taste, would definitely cook this again, like the other risotto it was tasty and had a wonderful texture, even the fussy kids in the family tried it. I love this risotto as coming from someone who had never made one nore every tried risotto before I found this to be so easy an simply to prepare. Being a rice lover, I found this meal very satisfying in taste. The meal tasted like a self prepared from scratch meal with so much flavour and texture. It was easy to prepare and a great conversation starter with the kids asking questions about the meal and everyday things during the preparation and serving. Certainly worthy of a purchase for quick meals or to accompany a meal. But we thought it was a great meal to prepare the night before and take to work next day.

This is the most successful Risotto I have tried to make. There is little preparation, other than cutting a few veggies, and the cooking time is nice and quick. My husband isn't a huge fan of Risotto, but he had the leftovers for lunch the next day... Can't have been too bad! I would like to try it with other veggies, sweet potato perhaps??

I love Maggi One Pan Meals they are so easy to make and so delicious. This flavour is no exception. Its smooth and creamy and the pieces of pumpkin add that little extra flavour punch. We cooked up the Maggi One pan Chicken, Pumpkin and Baby Spinach Risotto last night and it was a hit with the whole family. The instructions on the pack were easy to follow and adding lots of fresh ingredients made it seem like a hearty home cooked meal. We regularly cook risotto from scratch in our household so I was keen to try out this mix. We found it tasty and creamy (hubby did add too much cream so ours was extra creamy by mistake, lol) The taste was nice and not artificial at all. It also didn't require stirring as much as making normal risotto does. I loved that it was all cooked in the one pan with ease!

I had to laugh at the "one-pan" tag line…I was trying to be prepared and organise everything for the meal before I started cooking (while my youngest was asleep), and in doing so I used about 6 bowls! The meal took a bit of time with stirring, but it was easy to make. My husband (who complains about my cooking a lot) and my eldest son both really enjoyed the meal. I think it really needed the extra parmesan, but all-on-all was a successful mid-week meal.

MAGGI thanks a bunch for simplifying a dish I have always liked the sound of, but never tried. The ingredients were in my fridge and it took no time to prepare, and even less time to eat! we made it as directed from the packet and oh my gosh! it was briliant. my 1 year old and 2 year old loved it! boy they were in the shower straight after as there was quite a bit of mess but had a great meal together full of laughter and giggles and love. easy to make less tie consuming and great taste! definantly will buy!!

I've never had much success with risottos made from scratch so was keen to give this a go. It was very easy to make but after 20 minutes there was still a lot of liquid in the pan and I found that the cooking time for the rice was more like 35 mins rather than the 20 mins detailed on the packet. That said, the end result was good, everyone enjoyed it and we would make this again.

This was very easy to make loved not having to stir it all the time. The whole family loved it and was great the next day for lunch as well.Next time i will try it with the feta as I didn't see to serve it with it till I had finished.

Much easier to prepare compared to traditional risotto, used sweet potatoes instead of pumpkin and the meal turned out great. Had a nice creamy flavour, even my fussy husband ate it.

I love this product, like other Maggi products it is easy to cook and convenient. The best thing about it is both my kids love the taste as much as I do. I used to use multiple ingredients for my risotto, now I only need the Maggi, along with some fresh meat and veggies and voila, I'm done. Perfect for time poor people. Highly recommended.

Thank you for allowing me to trial this clever idea. It was simple and easy to prepare so much easier than normal risotto and I would purchase it again . It is probably not on par with delicious home made risotto but a very quick and easy alternative. My 3 year old enjoyed it so much so I will be buying it again.

A great one pan dish full of flavour that being risotto takes a bit longer to cook but is worth it. You have to buy a few more ingredients that I would not necessarily buy but for a dish to have once a month it is worth it.

Very quick & easy to make with only using one pot Not a big fan of risotto but this one tasted quite nice even the kids ate & loved how simple it is with easy to follow directions & no fancy ingredients needed. Have recommended to my grandparents to try as it no fuss to make

Both my partner and I were Risotto skeptics, but this was amazing very yummy and I like the way it turns into a pumpkin sauce. My son even ate it!! Took a little while to cook with an impatient toddler hanging around the kitchen, and we had to continuously stir or it would get stuck to the pan. We will be getting this again to feed our family

My recipe books can now stay in the cupboard and I will be using Maggi in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed the taste of the Risotto but would maybe not use the pumpkin next time. Love the idea of only using one pan for dinner.

I have used the product before but in a different flavour. I really liked this flavour. My husband said it looked like porridge and it did a bit. Not a very visually appealing meal but it had a lot of flavour without being overpowering. I added mushrooms as well which was not stated on the pack. It was easy to follow the instructions, great to have it all cooking in the one pot. A fabulous mid week dinner, easy to cook and easy to clean and easy on the palate. My daughter took some left overs for lunch the next day, she enjoyed it as did all the family even my fussy husband ate it.

Wow was suprised by this one I was not so sure on the flavour although my three kids loved it even though they do not usually like this type of meal

This was a great option for our family and very easy to prepare. Personally I thought it lacked a little flavour, but my hubby and son loved it, which is always a bonus! Would recommend for those looking for a time saving option.

This is the first risotto I've ever cooked and I really enjoyed it. My 2 toddlers liked it but my 3 older kids weren't too keen. I'd like to have the same flavour but creamier I found it was a bit dry but that could be my fault as it was trial and error being a first timer lol

I found it was very easy to prepare, a lot easier than it normally takes to make a Risotto, I usually don't make Risotto very often because of all the constant stirring involved. The flavour of it was quite tasty also, everyone in the Family quite enjoyed it.I would definitely buy it again.

This was an easy meal to prepare. The flavours were nice and even my four fussy kids ate it so it must have been good. I loved the one pan aspect of it. The less washing up I have to do the better. My eldest daughter makes a lovely pumpkin risotto and this tastes so much like it. My daughter goes to so much trouble to prepare her risotto and although i like to create tasty meals I have to admit to being rather a lazy cook. I want things blissfully easy and with thanks to Maggi One Pan thats exactly what the Chicken, Pumpkin and Baby Spinach Risotto is. Sadly my youngest daughter does not like pumpkin so she was not impressed but it worked for me as that left more for myself and one other who loved it. It tastes like you have gone to a lot of trouble when in fact its so very simple to get an outstanding result.

Loved it! It was quick to prepare, easy to make and tasted delicious. The whole family enjoyed it. I added some freshly grated parmesan cheese and some fresh parsley for a bit more flavour. It was very convenient and I enjoyed the taste. Thanks for letting me review this product!

This was super easy to make if you have some time to quickly chop everything up! Once that's done, its all just in the same pot and is easy! I was not a big fan of the taste but my husband and 3 kids - aged 13 years, 3 years and 10 months - loved it!! I also swapped pumpkin for sweet potato and it was so lovely!!

I love risotto but have never had much luck cooking it - however after using the Maggi One Pan Risotto mix I will be making more risottos. It was easy and using everyday ingredients made cooking a meal fun and relaxing. The little bit of leftovers I reheated for lunch the next day were great as the flavour seems to really enhanced the rice. Can't wait to try other flavours.

We love to sit down and have a great meal as a family and with these types we can. Risotto Chicken, Pumpkin & Baby Spinach was very creamy and tastes great, my kids enjoyed the chicken, not fond of the baby spinach though, easy to use and would recommend Maggi One Pan to a friend or family and will buy again.

My husband (who is our usual cook) made this for dinner last night. It was easy and not too time consuming for a risotto, and didn\'t require too much stirring. It was very tasty. My son enjoyed it so much he had the leftovers for breakfast this morning! The flavour is great.

My tots are tiny so finding meals we can all eat as a family is challenging. Risottos are one of these meals do I was keen to try this new product. I did make a few modifications to suite our taste buds - I used shredded chicken thighs, relaxed the spinach with baby peas & added mushrooms. Overall I found the flavour delicate & easy to use. The kids loved it & I only had to make one meal! Very happy mummy:)

I made this with the assistance of my two boys. It was easy enough for both of them to contribute. They both loved making it and eating it. My husband wasn't as impressed and thought it lacked flavor. I'm happy as long as my kids are. We might try it again to see if I get the same response.

Both kids 6 & 8 (fussy eaters) enjoyed the meal, no issues, they even had seconds!!! (Never happened before) Needs a bit of salt when cooking, apart from that, easy to make, cheap ingredients 10/10

Starting at the beginning, the prep time noted on the packaging is 10 minutes. I cook every night of the working week and to slice 500g chicken breast, dice an onion and cube 1.5 cups of pumpkin definitely takes longer than 10 minutes, and seeing as though we are reviewing this via a "mothers" website, this is not factoring in the time us Mums are required to tend to children, husbands, pets etc. As a one pot quick meal, parents would appreciate an appropriate prep time - 20 minutes is more likely. I love making my own risotto's but let's face it, standing around the stove for half an hour "massaging" the stock into the arborio rice is taxing. This one pot recipe allows you to skip that step and add cream in at the end and to be honest, it's a cheeky little shortcut because it works! After adding in the pumpkin and baby spinach at the end, with a garnish of cracked black pepper, I found the meal really satisfying. It was fresh, tasty and filling and you can eat a large bowl, as I did, and not feel overly bloated after finishing it - as most risottos can do. My tip would be to add more than the recommended liquid to the rice as the pan is hot from browning the chicken and onion in the beginning and the liquid quickly evaporates. Three quarters of the liquid worked best as the final quarter is compensated by the cream at the end :) I really enjoyed reviewing this meal and think you will enjoy it too.

As declared by our 2.5 year old "I love it". Even our 9.5 month old enjoyed it. Will definitely make again. Including preparation it took a bit longer than 30 minutes, about 45 minutes to get on table. Will be a regular staple on our family menu. Might roast the pumpkin first next time and add some diced bacon.

I chose the risotto for our Friday night meal its easy meal night. Loved shopping for the recipe as there isn't much to add, It was easy preparing in one pan! The longest part was cooking the rice but that is normal with a risotto and you always need to keep it moving so it doesn't stick to the bottom but that is a normal risotto. Mixing up the sachet was quick and easy hot water in a jug with the sachet,it easily dissolves and when added to the rice goes creamy and smells yummy! When it was all cooked I turned it off let it sit for a a minute before adding the baby spinach and lite cream .... I was getting excited at this stage wanting to try it (this is where I served it and took my picture) Meanwhile my husband was waiting impatiently for his dinner ;) I really enjoyed the risotto,my husband loved it my kids ate it with no complaining which is good for anyone not sure its a favorite for them though. I found it very plain tasting but my hubby and kids liked the taste as they aren't into spicy tasting foods. I would definitely cook it again its very filling and makes ALOT! ...Its a comforting, easy meal !!

This is one of the simplest recipe bases I have ever used. It is really easy to substitute the vegetables for what you have on hand and it isn't overloaded with full fat cream and cheese so it is healthier than traditional risotto recipes. Overall I would recommend this product for a fast and healthy dinner option.

I would buy this product again. We enjoyed the meal and found the directions easy to follow. The recipe makes a filling and interesting meal that tastes good and one tends to eat too much, always going back for seconds. Never any left overs with this meal. I followed the instructions and it was a different way than normal to cook risotto but it turned out pretty good. I added kale and corn kernels cause I had to use them up - turned out good. My toddlers (1 & 2 yrs) both enjoyed it and I thought it was ok too. Needed a fair amount of seasoning for my taste but not sure if that was cause I added extra ingredients. I don't usually buy packet mixes so not sure that this will become a regular part of our menu at home. But the kids were happy and was I! Thanks for the opportunity to review!

This meal was easy to make and my family enjoyed it. I loved the addition of the spinach and pumpkin and I also think mushroom would be a nice addition. I didn't really enjoy the one pan chicken, pumpkin and baby spinach risotto, however my toddler loved it and for that I deffinatly give this the thumbs up! I'm not a fan of pumpkin and I thought that you could really taste the pumpkin in it, my toddler however loved this so I would definately make it again! I'm a vegetarian, but hubby isn't. I Forgot to buy to chicken so we had it with all the ingredients minus the chicken. He absolutely loved it and so did I. The next day he rung me while he was at work to ask if there were any left overs from the night before to have for dinner that night. I didn't even bother sharing it with the kids.

I made this one evening with my kids and we loved it. It was easy to make and had a fantastic taste to it. It is a great side dish with mashed potatoes and other veggies. The kids asked is I could "buy it again" for them which I will most definitely do.

I was most worried about my two little picky eaters but they LOVED it. I left more than enough time to make the meal but was surprised how easy it actually was. I enjoyed the flavour of the dish and the fact that only one pan is needed. I think the base flavours would be versatile to combine other ingredients rather than just the ones on the packet. My daughter didn't love it but hubby & myself did. I would recommend for ease and convenience.

wow that was one nice meal my whole family had and we had the Maggi One Pan Chicken, Pumpkin and Baby Spinach Risotto it was very yummy and the kids did eat and ask for more it took bout 30 mins to cook and the taste was nice and not oover in taste as so things u cook are so go and buy it

Risotto is not a favourite in this household. We tried the sample and I enjoyed it, hubby was so-so and toddler was not so thrilled. While I wont buy it again in this flavour I would be tempted to try another flavour because it was so easy to make and a nice change.

Easy to prepare and quick to make, I substituted pumpkin for sweet potato as I had it already. Hints of Rosemary flavour was delicious but I found I had to add quite a bit of black pepper to mine to give it some oomph. My 2yo loved it as it was. I would definitely buy these if they were in a few unique flavours outside what I would usually do for a risotto with just stock.

Something that we probably wouldn't have tried so very happy to have trailed it. Loved that it was so quick, easy & all done in 1 pan. 3/5 likes- 3 fussy kids with 1 liking it & 2 comparing it to our usual recipe (1trying it), Hubby & I found it tasty but nothing that we'd rave about......maybe more flavour. Something that we'd have in the cupboard, maybe add/change ingredients next time. Will definitely check out the other flavours next shop. Overall, very happy :)

There is no doubt that this Maggi One Pan Risotto was easy to make and the flavour was delicious. Hubby and I both enjoyed eating this, however our daughter was not so keen. It was absolutely easier to make than risotto from scratch - although not quite as healthy as how we usually make it. The washing up was easy with this, which was appreciated!

Easy to follow instructions. Delicious Taste although did remind me of Honey Mustard Chicken Recipe Base taste. Would have like the garnish suggestion of cracked pepper and crumbled feta to be included as part of the "Just Add" section and in bigger font, it seemed to be an afterthought. Why hide it??

Overall flavours were great however I made this without chicken as I am vegetarian. Instead I used some fried tofu, and added in with the mix and cooked a little longer to absorb the flavours. Loved the taste, and I normally don't eat risotto.

This was a fast meal though it had a lot of ingredients that I wound normally have at home. Though that is probably a good thing as it made me use vegetables that I'm used to cooking. Overall pleased with product and end result after cooking.

I made this for dinner earlier this week and was quite excited to try this given it's from Maggi. I did change it up a little though as my husband is not a pumpkin fan, so I added cabbage, water chestnuts and beans. It was so simple to prepare - probably the easiest risotto I've ever done, however I found the smell really off-putting. I don't like mustard at all so was concerned about the taste, but thankfully it wasn't as overpowering as it smelt. Everyone bar one child emptied their bowl, however the reviews were mixed. I actually had my fam write mini reviews - "It was nice and soft and having cabbage was better than pumpkin." "Very tasty, Easy to eat. Not too spicy" "It wasn't good but it was ok." (Master 8) "Would like to try other flavours." So while I love the idea of Maggi One Pan - I would prefer other variants I think. I would also liek to see gluten and dairy free varieties if possible,

Very tasty. Loved the fact that it was "one pan" which means there was less things to clean up afterwards! Easy to do, although I found that I had to increase the cooking time by a few minutes. Also added some lemon zest as I happened to have some extra, which was lovely. Would make again, thanks! :)

This product had a lot of flavour and was very easy to prepare. My children refused to taste it it but that's nothing unusual at my house! It was a very simple and easy way to make risotto -something that can be difficult to perfect. I added an extra cup of water as my rice wasn't cooked and the sauce had evaporated. I would probably make it with sweet potato instead of pumpkin next time just for a better texture.

I make alot of risotto for our family so I was keen to try this. I think it would be better to add stock one ladle at a time and let the rice absorb it because when u poured half the stock on the rice I found it to be alittle gluggy. I would like to try it again and see how it might turn out using the old one ladle at a time method.

As a busy mum of 3, I love one pot meals and this was good. My kids didn't like the spinach but that's no surprise as they don't like it anyway but I always try and give it them. I found the risotto very easy to prepare (especially for a risotto!), but it did lack in flavour. This can be easily modified by adding your own seasoning. I would add some garlic and possibly chilli (to mine) if I made this dish again. It would be a great side dish rather than a main meal.

Nice meal. Adults loved it but very fussy 6 year old didn't. I added frozen peas and corn for extra veggies. Will definetly be making this again. Love the one pan cooking. You could also put some bacon in for something a little extra. Had leftovers for the next days lunch. Yummo.

I quite like mixing up my own flavour combos when I'm cooking but I don't always have the time to do so. That's where the "Maggi One Pan Chicken, Pumpkin and Baby Spinach Risotto" comes into it's own. It's great little shortcut for busy mums (or busy anyones). I also like that the cooking is done in one pan. I think it's a great feature of the product. I'd recommend this to any friends who were looking to add a quick flavour shot to their risottos.

I usually make my risotto from scratch-but do only have one flavour I make. So this was a nice change. It was definitely easy so is perfect for anyone to make esp the cooks that aren't confident with risottos. I love pumpkin so I enjoyed the taste. My daughters weren't as taken but ate a little. I ended up adding a lot more baby spinach as I love the stuff!! A great easy meal and good to have a pk in the pantry.

As with all the Maggi product this is ridiculously easy to make up, and saves heaps of prep time. I wasn't fussed with the flavour of this one, and my teen wasn't too enthusiastic so I was ready to give it a pass, except that both of my preschoolers LOVED it! Both of my little ones are fussy beyond measure, so I was amazed to see them wolfing down the Risotto and asking for seconds.

I love risotto but normally cheat and use normal rice. This was an easy recipe which made it easy to make. I was pleasantly surprised that the kids ate the spinach this way too! I used Parmesan cheese only

I found this recipe easy to follow with a simple list of ingredients. I would use it again but would substitute some of the pumpkin for carrot as my family love carrot. I added extra spinach to mine once it was served as I love spinach, this didn't impact on the overall taste or look of the meal. I was surprised by the taste, the flavours worked well. My 10 year did say it tasted of nothing though so I am not sure if that is a bad thing as he would eat it again.

After shopping for all the ingredients, I was keen to see how easy it really was to make. Following the clear instructions on the packet really helped me and I was really pleased with the result! The pumpkin and baby spinach made it such a healthy choice and the cream gave the meal such a lovely texture. I was really surprised how delicious it was to eat. I quite enjoyed the end result of this risotto as it was quite tasty and moreish. It was quite easy to make - prep time took a little while but nothing too terrible (mostly chopping veggies!) Fairly foolproof - just add veggies, rice and the recipe base with water and cook on the stove. Had lots of leftovers too which was great as they're in the freezer for a quick meal on a busy night. Will most likely repurchase.

Unfortunately the kids didn't love this meal. I cooked it exactly as per the instructions. One of our children, I must admit, doesn't like rice so I never expected to change that, but the other two kids were calling it boring and wanted cereal instead - lol. My hubby and I didn't really love it and both agreed to try something else instead next time. The ease of cooking was definitely there though. The flavours weren't offensive - just not as delicious as hoped!

I've tried making risotto at home but it takes forever and it feels like 5 liters of stock. The kids weren't keen, but all the more for the adults. I followed the instructions but I'm sure you could improvise with anything you had in the fridge sweet potato instead of pumpkin. The kids are use to rice so the texture of this was a little weird for them. It was easy to make, will buy again.

chicken pumpkin and baby spinach risotto is so easy to make just throw in the pot stir and leave which is easy to do. loved the pumpkin and spinach and my girls ate it and wanted more so if I made it again I would have to make double the quantity. overall the girls loved the taste but my husband and I needed to have loads of black pepper added to it for flavour.

I didn't find the flavour to be as strong as I would have liked, but it was still a tasty meal & I would recommend it for something easy when time is limited.

I was really excited to try this one. We love risotto here but usually cook it in the rice cooker....which I think I will stick to from now on. I'm not sure if it was the different brand of risotto rice that I bought or the Maggi pack, but after following the directions to a tee, it ended up very gluggy and not appetising. The kids did not like it at all and I had to push for them to eat any dinner at all. Hubby and I thought the concept was great in theory but took so long to prepare and hanging around the stove etc. Maybe a slow cooker one or suitable for rice cookers or even one I can bang in the oven would be a hit?! ;)

I found the risotto mix a very quick and tasty meal but one that was not unique enough to have me buy it. i can produce the same result with items on hand. It could be done even quicker in the rice cooker and that is a plus. But you want something a bit exciting to recommend it to others. so, tasty but not exciting.

This risotto base was easy to use with a great recipe on the back. I used chicken thighs instead of breast, and added Parmesan cheese at the end but that's how I like my risotto. My fiancee loved the texture and color of the end product. Pretty easy to use when stuck for dinner ideas.

I regularly make risotto so was interested to see how this would turn out. Essentially all that was in the sachet was concentrated stock which you added to water. The taste was quite bland and I ended up adding goats cheese at the end for flavour. It wasn't bad but definitely needed the additional cheese or fetta to make it enjoyable. I'd buy it again if it was on sale or cheaper than stock (which you could follow the exact same recipe and substitute the sachet for)

This was quicker to use than making normal risotto. Kids didn't like it and husband was so so about it. Not sure that I will buy it again just for myself. It has inspired me to spend time making regular risottos for the kids. So glad I got to trial this product even if it wasn't a huge hit with the family.

The risotto is an easy family meal. I usually make a similar version from scratch and don't like to include cream in cooking so not sure whether I'll use the packet mix again or my usual recipe as I worry about the additives in the recipe base.

I'm neither here nor there. It was real easy & the first bite was great the more I ate the stronger it got. I would recommend as taste buds around are different but not for me.

Loved how it was so very easy to prepare and cook, I just followed the instructions. My family love anything with chicken in it so expected them to like it, I didn't tell them that there was spinach or pumpkin in it so they would at least try it. Served it up and it wasn't a great hit, I personally didn't mind it, maybe a little bit bland but it was something different to our usual meals. If cooking for myself I would buy again for the family I wouldn't

This was a really easy meal to create - we often make risotto and stand by the stove for ages ladling stock in, so this took a lot less time. It gave me a great idea for flavours for the risotto, but I don't feel that the sachet offered anymore than a little more convenience and what I can get from a good gourmet stock. I think it's a great idea for those that are a bit more novice at risotto's, as this is very straight forward and ends up with a really good tasting risotto (in my opinion, not my kids who wouldn't touch it) - but I prefer my husbands :)

It was easy to make but I didn't like the taste and only one of my kids liked it, not even hubby (and he likes most things). Maybe my family is different but we won't be trying this one again.

This was simple to make but I find my risottos are easy and one pan also so probably not so etching I would need to buy again.

The One Pan was easy to use, but as a family we are just not Risotto people. I would recommend as it is easy and quick way to prepare a meal.

We had this with chicken fillet as side serve .This is a handy idea ,good pantry staple for all year .The kids were not that happy to eat this Risotto,but only because it usually takes so long to cook .Us adults enjoyed a change .

We don't normally eat risotto in this house, but made an exception for the sample. It was super easy to make, but we weren't sold on the flavour. My kids didn't like the texture, and hardly made a dent in their plates. I gave it a decent try, but wasn't 100% thrilled and hubby doesn't like pumpkin or spinach, so he wasn't a massive fan either. I don't usually like to cook with a product that requires me to purchase numerous other items that I don't ordinarily have in my pantry but risotto is not an every week, every month dish for us. Once I had all the ingredients, it was full steam ahead. The final dish was creamy with just the right flavouring and the Arborio rice was cooked perfectly. The serving was really big - enough for a few meals. My kids only eat plain rice and are not risotto fans but Dad and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It was very filling. I actually made the recipe with pork fillet instead of chicken - very yummy! I'm sure you can even add a dash of white wine. And maybe some mushrooms. Great mid-week meal for a full time working and full time mummying Mum!!!

I was quite surprised when I opened my box to discover Chicken, Pumpkin and Baby Spinach Risotto as it is a dish I make at least once a month and my whole family loves it. This meal base was simple enough to use but I feel like the balance of flavours was just a touch off. My kids did not enjoy eating it either.

i originally thought there was going to be way too much liquid for the amount of rice but it did absorb by the end of cooking time. the taste freshly cooked was quite nice, a chicken stock flavour which was ok but i found the taste a bit heavy, i like lighter fresher taste in my risottos. I substituted carrot for pumpkin, i think pumpkin would have made it a bit tastier and sweeter. a quick option though for nights when you need something easy to make.

While the dish was not that difficult to make the preparation was a pain due to needing to add so many ingredients. We have never had risotto before and the kids were not overly thrilled with it. Probably won't be buying it again.

Hubby knocked this up without making too bad a mess of things, so it must be easy, and the taste was pleasant. One of my kids couldn't eat it due to the pumpkin (he's got a very severe allergy) but the rest of us liked it. As posted previously, it didn't require a lot of stirring, which was handy and you could add a range of veg which would be complimentary.

Although it had a nice flavour and was yummy, I don't see the point of using a packet mix to making a risotto from scratch. All it substitutes is the stock. it says to add cream but we omitted it. Risotto doesn't use cream. If you want to use a packet mix, t hen it is nice to use.

This risotto was easy to make and I really loved the the taste of it but my 2 fussy kids and husband didn't like it at all. I would definitely buy it again if making just for me :)

The instructions were easy to follow, preparation time was quick. It is a healthy easy option. Most importantly it was very yummy. This will definitely be a regular on our menu! I will have to work on the kids though they were not impressed.

Very enjoyable, not a big fan of rice style dishes like this, or spinach...but can add your own touch with capsicum, onion, mushrooms and peas or beans. Goes a long way.

I make risotto quite a bit, so was interested in seeing how this one turned out. I found the flavour was ok, but not quite as strong as I would have liked. We had to add quite a lot of pepper to make it more tasty. Also, there was way too much liquid for the amount of rice, so it turned out gluggy with the rice being over cooked. If I did use this again, I would certainly reduce the liquid, which would probably intensify the flavour too. The combination of chicken, pumpkin and baby spinach was nice though and the feta on top added extra creaminess. Usually I would use parmesan so this was a nice change. Unfortunately I probably wouldn't recommend this to others and wouldn't buy it again.

Very easy to make, tasted a little bland for my liking and my kids weren't very keen (although they are very fussy). Had enough left over for lunch which was nice but still needed an extra boost of flavour for my taste buds

This was my first attempt at a risotto either from scratch or using a recipe base. I substituted the baby spinach with lots of homegrown silverbeet. It was easy to prepare & quite tasty although I forgot to add the cream. I'm not a huge fan of risotto & while my partner & I both enjoyed the meal it is probably not something I would buy.

I seems to be very easy to prepare according to the package, but in reality the flavour didnt really quite get there, i am so looking forward to try with my special trip to shop for the ingredient, my side everything so fresh but when the creation start it didnt delivery the magic of the one pot wonder, it doesnt really taste much at all, very disappointed!

A great meal, if you cook it correctly. Unfortunately I was trying to do multiple things, and the rice was not quite cooked enough. My son is unwell, so he hardly touched. Needed salt and pepper to give it some flavour, once it had them, tasted great! Partner enjoyed it also.

I was lucky to be chosen to review this product. My son is a picky eater and I've been trying new things to get him to eat different things but unfortunately this was not for him. I've only had risotto twice and not a huge fan but I didn't dislike the flavours of this one. The prep time was hard and remembering to buy all the ingredients for the risotto was also a thing for me. It's good that's it's all in one pan which makes cleaning so much easier. I'm not a big fan of pumpkin though and I think that's what made me not in love with it. I will see if there are other flavours for this product. My friends love risotto so I would recommend it

I usually like to cook from scratch, this was easy, but not overly flavoursome. My 7yr old is fussy as it is, and sadly he didnt really like this.

Maybe I expected too much from a One Pan recipe, the flavour was really lacking. I had to put in some garlic salt and lots of parmesan cheese to give it a kick. The steps were quite simple but it was a little time consuming for such an average result. I don't think I would rush back to buy this particular product.

My family didn't like this one. Im used to making risotto from scratch so I didn't have high expectations that a packet one would deliver the same flavour. Was gluggy without much flavour. I guess if you cooked it more the traditional way with lots of stirring it could be better. Wont be rushing out to buy this one.

we don't like pumpkin and spinach together with the risotto, i think the flavour was a little too overpowering for my children and they prefer that the pumpkin flavour wasn't so overwhelming and strong

I thought this risotto smelled like those microwave chicken rolls you get at service stations. The chicken-stuffing taste was overpowering, and it was quite salty. I usually make risotto the normal way, and to be honest, this didn't reduce the amount of time I spent in the kitchen. My family didn't go for seconds - in fact there was some left on every plate.

It was nice to try something we wouldn't normally have. Easy to follow not sure I would try this flavour one again but would try out the other products in the range.

After trying the Maggi honey infused soy chicken, I was looking forward to trying another one of their products. This dinner left me wanted to eat something different. The flavor was bland. Because I knew I'd be posting a review, I wanted to do everything according to the packet. I only wish I had read all the way to the bottom of the directions where it suggested garnishing with feta cheese. I had no feta in the house. Unfortunately, it really needed.

We tried this one out last night, and although it was easy to follow, it just wasn't the flavor hit the kids and I expected. It was simple enough to cook and prepare, but the pumpkin flavor wasn't to our taste. Having said this I would be happy to try others in the range and would recommend it to risotto and pumpkin lovers.

Risotto is not a favourite in our house, not sure if it's the risotto or the way I cook it, lol. I found the pumpkin, chicken and baby spinach an unusual flavour combination and it wasn't one that I particularly enjoyed. I love spinach and it's a vegetable that we eat a lot of in our house but I didn't find that it complimented the pumpkin flavour.
