Review: Dyson DC59 Animal Digital Slim Vacuum Cleaner

This vacuum has been a great help to my busy lifestyle as a working mum. Easy to use, really effective, no complaints at all. I love it

I just have to say it again. This is the best vacuum cleaner for me. So powerful as a portable vacuum cleaner. So light to move around. Clean ceiling is so easy now. I can use it to clean house in minutes. The animal version has the smaller attachment which is great to be used to clean car seats. Great investment for your bucks. Go and test it out in Myer or DJ or Costco. The only downside is the price, but you can find bargains surely.

I had lent my lovely new Dyson to my friend a couple of weeks ago and she ended up having it for a couple of weeks instead of a few days! I was so relieved to get it back, I was fed up with using my old vacuum cleaner again! She loved the Dyson! She's going out to by one, so is my mum! It really is the handiest vacuum cleaner to have. Mess from the kids is so easy to clean up, cat hair is sooooooooooo much easier to get up! A quick run over of the floors before someone comes over is now just that! It makes a massive difference to know I can quickly and easily make my home feel so much tidier and cleaner in just a few minutes by whipping out the Dyson and running it over the floor. No cords to get in the way, no loss of suction even if the container is nearly fully. It's great, I love it!

The Dyson DC59 Digital Slim Vacuum Cleaner has been an absolute gem. No longer do I have to drag around a heavy (back breaking) vacuum cleaner to clean up around our home or car. Gone are the days of sweeping up into a corner and vacuuming after the kids are in bed. I can now simply whizz around the house and especially the kitchen and dining area after breakfast, lunch and dinner in a matter of seconds and feel all is good. I certainly feel much calmer with a cleaner floor. The attachments make it a breeze to regularly clean out the car as well. My girls will even happily grab it and help me clean up. I thoroughly recommend The Dyson DC59 Digital Slim Vacuum Cleaner.

This is my second dyson vacuum. Dyson vauum is the best I ever use, I like this cordless vacuum, easy, quick, light and powerful! Two motorised head is very good, the big one clean the carpet, the small one clean the mattress and car. I tell all my friends & family to just go a buy one!

Like this vacuum cleaner very much. The best I ever use. It's powerfully and handy. I've got two cats at home. The vacuum cleaner is very light. My girlfriend can use it very comfy to use it without any hazard. Would recommend this cleaner to my friends and family.

With the Dyson Digital Slim, I am finding that I am able to clean more frequently with ease! I used to leave tiny messes until later to avoid having to plug in my old vacuum just to clean for a minute, now a quick vacuum, particularly of tiny messes is easy! I love the design and size, moves so swiftly. Even my husband cleans up more often!

I always thought that "There has got to be a better way", and Dyson DC59 is exactly the answer to that thought. Now I can vacuum the stairs, the couch, the car, corners and crevices with a slim and lightweight cordless vacuum that makes life flow more easily and cleaning now a breeze. The DC59 Animal is by far the best cordless vacuum ever. There is no cord to mess with and with its motorised head, makes cleaning so much easier for small jobs where it becomes a chore to drag out a regular vacuum cleaner. I now vacuum more often too. This vacuum is highly recommended !!!

Yes we love the dyson! Yes it makes cleaning a breeze Yes it is as good as they say No we are not giving it back! So my husband bought this...yes you heard right.....well actually I don't know if it was for him or me? It is a great product! Quality made and very easy to use. The battery life is great and dirt pickup was very surprising for such a small unit. Trigger control is great idea also. Just wished it can be locked on. Will replace my corded vacuum.....if it had replaceable batteries yes! Great product Mr Dyson! You have done to hand held vacuums What Steve Jobs did to portable music players.

We have a Miele vacuum already and my wife has been dying to use a Dyson cordless vacuum as she is sick of lugging around the Miele. Upon receiving the DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUUM CLEANER my wife straight away turned it on as there was some charge left in the unit and used it until it was completely flat. She proceeded to plug it into charge and has used it everyday since. My 16 month old daughter has also been so impressed with it she helps us vacuum the house as shown in the review photo. I would not hesitate to recommend the DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUUM CLEANER to anyone. It has replaced our Miele which is now collecting dust which i may have to use the DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUUM CLEANER to clean off.

After using my new Dyson Digital Slim for the past month I am telling all my friends & family to just go a buy one! This nifty little machine has changed my way of cleaning. It's light & so very powerful -- just as powerful as my big Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner. It has enough charge to do my entire split-level house. It's light enough to pull out to vacuum up the crumbs left by my 2 young boys. I'm definitely a Dyson snob as the Digital slim is my 3rd Dyson in my house :-).

I was initially sceptical about the amount of power a cordless vacuum could have. We have very plush brand new carpet and I was worried about whether the Dyson would cope with picking up all the dirt and hair. I must say I was amazed!!! It picked up everything!!! I even did a test where I vacuumed with my corded vacuum first then went over it with the Dyson DC59 and the cannister was half full!! The attachments are great, its light weight and holds enough charge to do my entire house!! I would definitely recommend the Dyson DC59 to everyone!!!

Replacing our casual broom and brush wasn't going to be difficult, but I'm glad we got the DC59 to better clean up after our little one. The device is easy to store, a pleasure to use and definitely gets the job done with ease. The device does get a little hot, but nothing unbearable. It's quite loud (especially on max mode) that frightens our little one, but it is a dream to use otherwise. Highly recommend it.

This is my third review. I am still vacuuming the house almost daily and my car once a week because it is so easy and so quick. My animal is turning me into a clean freak. Whenever anything hit the floor, I used to grab the broom and sweep the mess out of the way until later on. Not any more. Now I grab my Dyson and clean it up immediately. It's quicker than the broom and the job gets done properly in one swift move. The only problem I am still having is my son and his girlfriend keep borrowing it to clean their room which means I have to retrieve it then wait for it to recharge before I can start my routine. Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to try this machine and then to be able to buy it for half price.

I am so thankful to have been given this opportunity to try this vacuum as it made my life so much easier. My floors are crumb free and my ceilings are also free of spider webs. I totally recommend this to any mum .

I actually love this vacuum! It has made my life soooo much easier. Vacuuming was always such a chore as I have to move items of furniture to access power points throughout the house. The convenience factor of the DC59 is what sells it most to me. The house is vacuumed far more often and it is so convenient for random little messes my children make all the time. It works so well in my car also...this is a major bonus! It pretty much cleans everything and the suction is great...picks up everything. I can't believe how much dust it picks up out of my carpet. I think it does carpet the best but still works well on hard floors. Definitely my favourite vacuum purchase to date!!!

Great product, very good for quick cleans around the houseduring the week when I'm too busy to do a full clean. Also great for messes in the living area (ile. Food crumbs) and messes made by dogs (ile. Fur balls). Only negative comment would be in regards to the filter. It feels like it can slip out too easily so it'll be good if it clipped in a bit more. However, cleaning of filter is super easy.

I absolutely love this vacuum. I want to marry it and have baby Dysons (wow, that's a little weird). Since having children, I really struggle to keep my floors clean and I seem to forever be doing housework. Now that I have my DC59 Animal, I have beautiful clean floors for my crawling bubba! It's so easy, and kinda fun, that my daughter cleans the floors!

The Dyson is sooo much easier to get out than our old beast - and if you've got kids like mine that like to throw half their food on the floor or leave a trail of bread crumbs for you to follow, then having something you can quickly whip out to clean up is a godsend. It does have a 20 min battery life, but if you can work around that, you'll be fine. It works, it's light, it's quick to get out, and it picks up dust like you wouldn't believe.

We had always wanted a Dyson and after the recent addition of a puppy to our family we knew that the DC59 would be perfect. As a mother of four I don't really have that much time on my hands to spend vacuuming the entire home in one go. In reality I would only really have twenty minutes at a time, if that, to be able to do a quick once over of any given space which means that the battery time is more than enough for my usage. It is unbelievably effective in picking up dust, dirt and pet hair on the first go. I love that I don't need to repeatedly go over an area to be able to achieve amazing results. There is a definite and extremely noticeable difference between using the DC59 in comparison to other brands. Emptying the vacuum is just as simple as using it. At the push of a button the container is completely emptied into your bin leaving your hands clean and with no complex mechanisms to work out in the process. Admittedly I have not used the DC59 as much as our old vacuum as my husband has taken a particular liking to it. He used it in the car and was so impressed with the functionality of it that he is quick to use it around the home whenever needed. I think that's the beauty of it, it's just so incredibly easy to use that you don't hesitate to use it for all the little accidents that happen around the home. With four little ones things like chips and crumbs are dropped on the floor almost constantly and just having a vacuum as versatile as the DC59 makes those daily chores so much faster and easer to clean up. The DC59 is very light weight which is perfect when cleaning our ceiling fans, but also being light weight makes it far more user friendly in general I feel. I am incredibly happy with our purchase and considering the fantastic two year warranty I have added peace of mind. After having, using and loving my new Dyson Animal for a couple of weeks now, I can honestly say I would never want to be without it again! Already owning a corded Dyson and a robotic vacuum, I was a little unsure that I could justify forking out for an upright as well, it seemed a bit excessive. But taking up the promotional offer, I thought it would be worth a try, and have used it every day since. So easy just to clean up mealtime/craft time/postbeach messes, handy and convenient, no annoying cord to get tangled in! And super easy to empty. It really makes vacuuming fun. It picks up more dirt and dust that I ever thought was there (!) and while it may be a little louder than my kids would like, it's features, convenience and functionality far outweigh any perceived downside. As an every day go-to, I can't recommend the Dyson Animal highly enough!

I love love love this vacuum!!!!! It is so easy to use - slim, light, agile and powerful! I've used it nearly every day to vacuum the crumbs that trail my 2 year old around and my old vacuum cleaner hasn't been out of the cupboard since it arrived. My husband used it to clean the inside of the car and found it so much easier than a corded vacuum. The downsides would be the battery life - over 3 hours to charge for only 20 minutes use (or 6 minutes on Power mode) and that you have to hold the trigger the whole time you're vacuuming. That said, it's still an AMAZING vacuum cleaner and I am totally in love with it!

I was one of the people that took up the offer to purchase the DC59 Animal at half price with the option to return it if I did not like it. I am so glad I was given the opportunity,it is fantastic. I have bought & tried a number of cordless vacuum cleaners that did not do a very good job not a lot of suction & battery didn't last long only be able to do 2 small rooms or a quick clean up of spills. The DC59 Animal battery life was a lot better able to vacuum 4 rooms in one go, but not the whole house. The suction & cleaning power was great just as good if not better than my in house vacuum. While vacuuming my louge, dining area which is carpet tben without stopping transfering to the hard surface floor in my kitchen was as if there was no difference, it handled it with ease. It was easy to use & lightweight,quick to grab & use for all the accidental messes that happen. Also made vacuuming my car easy (no more excuses) All in all I think it is a great product & have already recommended it to others. Needless to say it will not be being sent back, I will be keeping it...& I would like to get another one for the granny flat out the backyard. I will have to wait until I save up the money. I've wanted one of these for ages and it was well worth the wait. It's lightweight and easy to use. It has great power and suction and gets into smaller spaces than a regular size vacuum. It's quick and handy for all the mess that the kids leave around the house. If I had to find any negative points the only one would be the battery life. It could last a bit longer but I get most of my house done before it runs out. Other than that I love it. Great product!! Definitely recommend!

I love the Dyson Animal DC59. It is a super handy quick easy to use for those crumbs that my kids leave everywhere. Having it mounted and easily accessable means it is used numerous times a day. It has as much suction as my full size dyson. Highly recommended. It is well designed and comes with suitable attachments for the hard to reach places. The filter would be my only downfall as it can fall out if the cleaner is tipped that way.

I have been using the Dyson for 1 month now and must say it really has cut my cleaning time in half because everytime there is a little mess, I get the Dyson DC59 and with ease the mess is gone in seconds fuss free. My old corded vacuum is now outside as I have no use for it anymore. The Dyson DC59 is light weight, great suction, different attachments that pack away easy, looks stylish and can use practically anywhere! Thanks MoM and Dyson for making my life easier :)

I love my Dyson. It is by far the best handheld stick vacuum I have ever used. The others are so frustrating going over the same little bit without picking it up. But that is no problem for the Dyson. The power of the suction is incredible and picks up everything. I used it on my carpeted stairs and I almost filled up the container with sand! I had no idea that the kids had tracked so much sand into the house and up the stairs!

We as a family absolutely love our new vacuum! We have another Dyson but it is not a stick one. We love that you can just zip around the house without unplugging and plugging in from room to room. So much easier to clean up after the kids. The kids love using the vacuum also! The colour of the vacuum is also super cute. I would highly recommend this vacuum to people of all ages and circumstances.

I dont know how i lived without the Dyson DC59 Digital Slim Vacuum Cleaner it is brilliant. The whole family can use it with ease including the kids. Its powerful enough to clean the whole house and its battery lasts as well.The suction is as good as our big vacuum. No more lugging the big cleaner out to clean the mess under the kitchen table.I would highly recommend to anyone young and old.

This is my 4th and final review for the Dyson DC59 so here is my thought and final wrap up on the product. I love how easy it is to put together and change attachments. Straight out of the box I was able to assemble the machine without the need for the instructions. The attachments are changed with 1 simple click of a button and can be done with 1 hand, no need to put the machine on the floor. The long nozzle attachment is perfect for getting into frames on windows, sliding doors, up high on architraves, down the sides of lounges and seats in the car. The short nozzle with the bristles is perfect for dusting. Never again will I dust with an ordinary duster which only spreads the dust onto the floor, this nozzle allows me to suck it up straight away which is so much better for my dust allergy. Having the 2 power heads means I can alternate depending on the type of clean I want and also the size of the area I am doing. The smaller power head also fits well between the furniture and the walls that the larger power head wont. I had been wanting a stick vacuum for quite a while but was concerned about the amount of time it took to charge in comparison to how long it would retain power for. The Dyson takes 3.5 hours to charge to full capacity which is less than 1/2 the time of some of the competing brands and gives up to 20 mins of power which is more than enough for my larger home. Would I recommend the Dyson.. Absolutely.. Has it made my life easier having 2 kids under 4... yes. Do I clean up faster than I did with my old corded vacuum.. I sure do!!! Do I love my Dyson... YES!!!

I'm posting a review on behalf of my grandmother. My grandparents are quite elderly. They still live at home but have a lot of in home support. Gran can't lug around their big vacuum cleaner any more so they have someone come out to the house once a fortnight to do the big cleaning jobs like vacuum. We decided to get her the DC59 for Christmas so that she can clean up any small messes in between. She loves it! It's so light for her to just whip around and give the house a light vacuum before visitors or to clean up any crumbs or dry spills. It's also easy enough for her to empty. She takes great pride in her home and I think she's so happy to be able to clean up any small mess quickly and easily rather than having to leave it there until her cleaner comes. I am so grateful to MOM's for giving us the opportunity to purchase one for her.

This is my second review. When I wrote the first one, I was the only person in my family who had used my Animal. Since then, my son now has the cleanest car in the suburb and my daughter-in-law keeps kidnapping it to clean their rooms downstairs because it is so much better than the old (2005) Dyson I gave them. Whenever I want to use it, I have to guard it while it recharges so I get first dibs! I am still loving vacuuming the house every day and it is such a simple, quick job. Housework has never been so easy. My house has never been so clean on a daily basis! Again, a huge thank you!

I bought the DC59 through the MOM discount. I've had it for about 2 weeks & I'm in love! This nifty little machine has made my life sooooo much easier when it comes to cleaning the house. It's light & powerful, sucking up dirt just as well as my big Dyson (which I got in May). It has helped reduce the time it takes to clean my house. I'm so impressed to see what & how much it has sucked up in its canister. I can vacuum my entire 4 bed, 2 bath, lounge, rumpus/dining & kitchen in one go before it needs to be charged. It's one little gadget that I can definitely recommend to all my friends! Well done Dyson!

For the first time on monday i used the Dyson to vacuum the car. Previously i had used my old broken vacuum which does not have any attachments so getting down the side Of the seats was near impossible. I LOVE the dyson attachments they are so easy to take in and out and the nozzle one is long and thin enough to fit perfectly down the side of my seats. The other of the two attachments has fine brissels which was perfect for sucking up dust off my dash!! My car finally looks clean!! 10/10 for cleaning the car!!

The more I use the Dyson DC59 Animal the more I fall in love with it. I can vacuum the whole house with ease and no need to bring out my old heavy corded vacuum. It looks so stylish and makes such a great addition to my laundry where it is stored. I can't believe how strong the suction is for a cordless vacuum. The best!!!!

There is just so much to love about the Dyson Digital Slim!!! I especially love how lightweight it is, so much so that my downstairs rumpus room now gets vacuumed once a day as opposed to once a week sometimes even longer. My old corded vacuum was so big a bulky to carry that it just seemed too much effort and so much more dangerous to carry upstairs and downstairs that I just didn't do it. With the DDS I can carry it and my baby and not be worried about tripping over cords and handles or having bits and pieces falling off mid staircase - I love it!!!! Cleaning the car out is now so simple with all the attachments the DDS comes with, and because it's so small and compact I can get into so many more places the traditional vacuum couldn't. I'm still yet to find something I don't love about my Dyson Digital Slim.

Everyone I know seems to fall into one of two categories when it comes to Dyson vacuum cleaners, they either love them or hate them. I have always wanted to try one out but because of this polarising opinion, I was hesitant to purchase one without trialling. I can confidently say now that I fall into the former of the two categories and do indeed love my Dyson and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I have not had to contact their customer service as of yet so cannot comment on that side of it. The Dyson DC59 is a great machine but there are a couple of small things that I would like to bring up. I know other people have complained that you need to hold the trigger button down the whole time, I personally didn't find this to be too much of an issue as I tend to vacuum in short bursts anyway whilst moving objects around. I did find that it needed to be emptied alot more frequently than I was expecting (although this could be a reflection of the state of my house!) and sometimes you needed to swipe your finger round the barrel to get all the dust out as it seems to get stuck in there. You also have to be careful about too much dust building up around the filter as a couple of times I experienced thermal cutout when the vacuum got too hot. Using the DC59 on boost mode for more than a couple of minutes also seemed to heat the unit up a lot. Having used the Dyson for almost a month now I can honestly say that it has changed how I clean the house. My barrel vacuum cleaner has not seen the light of day since the Dyson has been with us, instead of doing one big vacuum once a week, I now happily pick up the Dyson several times a day and do a room at a time or just to pick up spills from the kids. This morning I woke up and remembered I had to post about my vacuum. I turned on the computer and then my 2 year old spilt her cereal all over the lounge room floor so I grab my Dyson and vacuumed it up. As I came back to the computer my 5 year old dropped a toy down the side of the lounge, so I put my hand between the cushions to retrieve it. I quickly realized that I need my Dyson again, this time with the slim attachment to reach that tricky part between the cushions on the lounge. "Ok, 3rd time lucky," I think as I walk towards my computer. Except I got a message on my phone so instead I walked into the kitchen to answer it. Of course, someone has walked through the kitchen with his work boots on and their is dried mud on kitchen floor!!! Out comes the Dyson again. What I love about this is that it is so quick and easy to use that it really isn't an issue to clean up spills. It is as simple as unhooking the Dyson from the charger and turning it on. It is so light and as it doesn't need to be plugged in every time you use it in a different room, it is convenient. I am so glad I have been given the opportunity to review the Dyson Digital Slim vacuum. It has made my life easier and my house cleaner!!!

As a sit on the lounge... with my feet up and a warm cuppa in my hands. My Mr 4 who has just spilt a mass (like an entire large box) of dry Rice Bubbles all over the place, is using the Dyson DC59 on his own to clean it all up.... does there need to be any further recommendation than this!!! He even empties it himself. Whilst it is not a chore for him as he quite enjoys using the machine... it is teaching him to clean up after himself and with this little beauty he can... no cords to plug in, its light and easily moved about. BLISS

I have been using my Dyson to vacuum all my flooring surfaces (carpet and tiles) and I cant believe how easily the machine transitions from one surface to another! No buttons to push, no levers to pull it simply glides between the 2 surfaces with ease. The power off of a full charge is unbelievable. I can vacuum my whole house with more power than my old corded vacuum in half the time as I don't need to change power points or untangle the cord around furniture! I will be trying the dyson on my car next!! Here comes a real challenge!! haha.

Had friends around the other day & our kids all made a real mess eating cake......my friend was down on her hands & knees trying to pick it up off the floor & I said wait I have my new Dyson watch this!! It's so convenient to just grab & clean, no cords or trying to fine the best power point, no lugging around a heavy vacuum. My friend was impressed, it's a must in any house that has children or pets. I just love mine & I really don't know what I would do without it

Here is my final review for the dyson. I'm sure i've already mentioned it before but what the heck i'll mention it again. Is it wrong to be on love with your vacuum cleaner? :) What I love most about it is that my 3 kids aged (6,7 and 9) are all helping out with the cleaning. Not too mention they battle over who's turn it is (which isn't a good thing) but you can catch my drift as too how much we all love the dyson. I'm so grateful to have been chosen for this super cool review. It's a thumbs up from me and a triple thumbs up from my kids. Oh! I probably should mention that hubby finally loves it as well.

I have not used my old cleaner since receiving the Dyson DC59 to review. I had not expected to be able to use it for all my vacuuming needs due to its compact size, but I was wrong! We use our Dyson everyday and, although the charge does not allow me to clean the whole house at once, its size and convenience means that I can happily clean upstairs one day and downstairs the next. I would never dream of dragging out my old cleaner every day, but the ease of the cordless Dyson makes it an less of a chore! I also now clean the car regularly - much easier with a cordless vacuum. I have already recommended this wonderful little machine to several friends and continue to be amazed at its power and versatility.

So last night i really got to put the Dyson to use.... we live on property and have Stand Alone Solar so we can not use big appliances when its dark and no energy coming into the batteries. Last night i broke a glass all over the kitchen floor.... usually i would just sweep it up and pick up with a dust pan and brush and then have to wait until the next day to vacuum... as you know glass goes absolutely everywhere and you still find pieces and shards for weeks... Well after i had swept last night and got up the majority (large pieces etc) i was so excited that i could just whip the Dyson DC59 out and Vacuum the entire kitchen floor to ensure that ALL those nasty shards were picked up. That is such a huge relief i know that Mr 4 wont wake up in the morning and get cut feet. Having the Dyson charged means i can Vacuum at any time of the day or night regardless of my power levels. It truly is wonderful.

With the DC59 you only use the power when needed, there is a trigger button on the handle and you just press to use it, so you are not walking around everywhere with the vacuum running when not needed. The DC59 has 2 phases of suction, so if you think its not getting all the dirt from your flooring, just step it up a notch, but believe me, there is dirt in your carpet even you didn't know was there till the Dyson picks it up. Lightweight and cordless have to be the DC59's biggest winners. You can take this baby anywhere and you will. It makes vacuuming a dream. If you didn't like to vacuum before, this little beauty may just change you, or if not you, someone else in the house. Im loving waking up to my hubby doing a spot of cleaning. It works wonders on all types of flooring , from carpets to tiles to hardwood flooring. Like all brilliant things, nothing is perfect. The DC59 has a small charge life, but what can you expect from something so small and lightweight. If you are using it for spot cleans and put it on charge after every use, then it shouldn't be a problem, but if your thinking of doing a full clean of your mansion in one hit, then Im afraid you will be disappointed. But not just with the battery, the bin will cause you grief too. Like I said the DC59 is small and lightweight, so the bin too is small and if your place gets as messy as mine, then your bin will fill up very quickly..... Overall the Dyson DC59 Digital Slim Animal Vacuum Cleaner lives up to its name. It cleans like an animal and is the best mobile cordless vacuum. If you are looking for something to make your day to day life easier I would highly recommend this product. My hubby likes to bring half the beach home with him every time he goes and the Dyson allows me to convert my new house back to a home each time. The dust pan and brush are used because they are lightweight and convenient, no getting out and plugging vacuums in for a small mess. Well, move over d&p, the Dyson DC59 is here and you no longer have to sweep the floors then get the dustpan and brush out. You can do it all in one motion. The DC59 works great on my floating floorboards. I have always hated sweeping as I would then have to get the dust pan and brush out and bend down to pick up the mess. Never again. Thank you Dyson.

My rug sheds, A LOT, this vacuum is wonderful and so effective, it gets up every little strand off the carpet. It is fast and a pleasure to operate! I can't say it enough, my husband has used it more than 5 times! that is the most amazing thing about this vacuum! he never vacuums, but in his words "It's so easy, you go and get it off the docking station and it's ready to go, I love using it" YES he really said that! My 10 year old keeps asking me if he can vacuum! definitely worth every cent!

Got several different styles of flooring in your home? Sick of stomping on the silly little button on your vacuum head each time you change from carpet to tiles? Youre going to love the Dyson Digital Slim then!!! For my second review Im focusing on how easy this little baby runs around the house. In my home we have carpets, including carpeted stairs, tiles, and raw concrete. This is the part that gets me all excited..... no changing heads, no stomping on the buttony thingy, the Dyson DS just skips hops and jumps over the changing floor conditions like there is nothing in its way...... eeeeek! We have carpet runners in our tiled areas, no drama there, glides on and off them, they dont move, you dont need to change settings on the Dyson, it just works...it... just....works!!!! Then there is the stairs, all carpet, no dramas there, chuck the short pole on and away you go, no back breaking work lugging a huge unit up and down, nearly dropping it as you trip on the cord and putting a hole in the wall and knocking the baby gate off the bottom of the stairs breaking it in two.... I may or may not be speaking from experience there... just your little hand held friend and you marching up the stairs with ease. Bliss. Now our concrete areas, this has a surround of metal boarders between it and the carpet areas, my old not-so-faithful vacuum used to refuse to get over them, she put her foot down and not budge till I lovingly (cough cough) lifted her over and placed her on the other side.... My Dyson aint no diva, she gets in there and blasts over the boarder, no questions no hesitations, she just gets the job done! So basically, Dyson DS dont stop for nothing! You go girlfriend!!!

WOW! where to start my first review. I have been so busy putting this little Dyson to the test that I now have lots of reviews to catch up on. I must say, as cliche as it is, I actually enjoyed vacuuming...... all because of this little purple powerhouse! The Dyson Digital Slim was so powerful that after vacuuming with my poor old clunker that I thought was still pretty good in the suction department, I went back over with the Dyson DS and oh dear!!! The chamber was full after half a room, despite being a little embarrassed that my floors while looking clean still held a mighty amount of dust and yuk, I was so overly impressed with how much power this little guy had! As a mum with two little ladies, one having Asthma, I'm so excited to see dust and build up from my carpets gone! All that yuk that was not helping my little lady, is out of my house, yay! I've found the battery power lasts the longest when using the standard vacuum head, when using various other attachments it seems to drain quicker, however I still get everything I need to get done before the battery drains, then it charges super fast on its funky charging station. So pleased with the suction power of the Digital DS and many other features but you will have to erad my other three reviews to hear about the rest, trust me you want to hear how else this vacuuming hero has WOW'd me!

This i Review number 4… I have really enjoyed using this machine and working out all it's different uses and capabilities! I have used it for many different things, even vacuuming the floor of my car which was so much easier and efficient than my old bulky machine. I am ever so grateful i was able to be part of this amazing review and very hopeful we get to keep this amazing vacuum! It has made my life so much easier when it comes to quickly going over the floors after the kids or dog have made a mess and now i don't have to carry my old heavy vacuum up and down our stairs while cleaning which was always a worry of falling! Not having a cord to trip over or have to keep unplugging because it doesn't reach to the whole house is such a big bonus and also safer for my young children too. If there were any negatives about this vacuum it would be that you have to hold the trigger in at all times causing my hand to get a little sore and the dust cylinder fills up quite quickly. Other than that i could not recommend this wonderful and very stylish looking vacuum more highly! Thank you again MoM's and Dyson!!!

So, a few weeks into the review and I thought that the gloss may have worn off using the Dyson stick vacuum. No, the gloss is still there! I can honestly say it has made my day to day life so much easier. I no longer worry so much about bits and pieces being dropped on the floor as I know it is just so easy to grab the Dyson and suck it up. The main thing that makes it so easy is the cordless-ness (is that even a word?!) I charge it and leave it in the linen cupboard in the hallway and just grab it when I need it. I can't even say there are any negatives about it. The barrel is small, but it is a stick vacuum and any bigger and it would not be easy to carry around. Having said that, I can still vacuum my whole house without having to empty it. So still not a negative! It's louder than I thought it would be. I don't know why I thought it would be quieter, it's not noisy, just louder than I thought. Still not a negative as the only reason I am concerned about vacuum cleaner noise is that my nearly 3 year old is frightened of the vacuum cleaner noise... what has solved this problem for us.. the Dyson. See the picture attached for proof... 3 year old will now use the vacuum cleaner himself without fear of the noise! Still not a negative! The battery only lasts for about 20 mins and there is no warning that it will shut down. It doesn't even take me 20 mins to vacuum my entire house and the fact that there is no loss of suction right up until it shuts down... still not a negative! Yup... I love it! Can you tell?!!!

This vacuum just keeps getting better. I just used it to quickly go over my couches to remove food scraps and any fluff and stray dog hair and it was so easy and light to use! I'm used to having to drag or carry the heavy body of my old machine around which hurt my back but the Dyson DC59 is fantastic! I actually look forward to vacuuming now with my new stylish vacuum and it does the job exceptionally well!!

I just luv how easy it is to change the attachments when you need to clean something different. It just keeps amazing me of all the different things I can clean now with just the Dyson I've used it to clean so many different things now like the car, the door & window runners, the fans, the air cons, the book shelfs & even the walls. I also luv the fact that it's so light and easy to use and I don't have to plug it in. I can't believe all the dust that it picks up too. I can't wait for my partner to get home this weekend so I can have it attached to the wall

I can't explain how excited I was when my brand new Dyson DC59 Vacuum cleaner arrived...it was like one of my gorgeous kids on Christmas morning. After a quick glance at the instructions, I put it on charge and was pleasantly surprised to read that it would only take a few hours (I was expecting that it would need at least 12 hours for it's first charge). As soon as it was ready, I connected the other parts and off I went. Given I had vacuumed the day before, I wasn't expecting great results, but boy was I wrong. For such a small unit, the Dyson DC59 is very powerful and vacuuming my lounge room alone (which isn't overly big) filled up the entire cylinder. I still can't get over how much dust was in my carpet, even after vacuuming using a full size (and quite expensive) vacuum from a competing brand. It was also a breeze to vacuum the kitchen before I mopped. Despite my other vacuum having a 'hard floor' setting, the scraping sound on my tiles always bothered me. But the Dyson is so smooth over hard surfaces, and the rollerball head makes getting into tight corners and crevices so easy. I am absolutely in love with my new Dyson...it gets a 10 out of 10.

Living in a rural area...we get our fair share of creepy crawlies and their living environment. I decided to get around to getting rid of all those webs around the house. I attached the nozell to the Dyson and happily went around the entire house getting rid of all those pesky webs. I can now decorate the house without a worry. The Dyson was light enough to be able to reach above my head to the ceiling and it sucked those webs up with ease. I did the entire house in about 15 minutes with some dusting along the way. Also, did the skirting boards while i was at it. I was easy, lightweight and no messy cords to deal with plus I didn't feel like it was really a chore at all. It is now safely back on the charger.

Thank you Dyson DC59 Digital Slim Vacuum Cleaner, you make cleaning the stairs a breeze. No more messy cords or heavy vacuums, I only need one hand and the other is free to hold onto bub if required. The stairs were always a nightmare, trying to find a power outlet nearby and having to lug and lift the old cleaner. Now the stairs take not even a third of the time to do. The DC59 has no problems with carpet or rugs. I love the fact, I can casually vacuum anywhere without the hassle of continually plugging and unplugging the vacuum.

Ok, every review I've posted so far has been all positive, so I decided to make a couple of notes of the things that annoy me (although only slightly, but not enough to make me want to get rid of it). So if you vac for the full 15 mins of charge time, it can get a bit heavy in the hand and I begin to feel it in my wrist. Also the unit gets warm in your hand as you go along. If you want to get technical, it is way too easy to fall in love with the MAX button, so if you use it all the time like I am beginning to you don't get 15 minutes as it will die a lot quicker. However, they are only picky things, I love the result of how well it vacuums. I also love how the phone numbers are on the end of the unit if you need help. Some clever thinking there.

Well i'm into my third week of reviewing the dyson and it's still going strong. What I love most about it is how enthused my kids are about cleaning. They fight over who is going to have a turn. Today my eldest (age 9) won. Here she is pictured vacuuming the lounge room. They love how easy and lightweight it is and its maneuvering ability (that is; no cords to trip over or plug in etc) The only thing that would make it better is a bigger capacity to store the dust so I wouldn't have to continually empty it for them.

We were reorganizing furniture in our lounge room to make room for the Christmas tree and my 2 and 5 year olds were taking turns using the Dyson to vacuum as we moved the furniture. As the Dyson is so light and easy to use, my 2 girls we having lots of fun and feeling grown up helping with the vacuuming. The only problem was they liked vacuuming so much they starting arguing over who had the longest turn and whose turn it was next!!! I was just glad that my lounge room was vacuumed!!!

I received my Dyson in the post today after accidentally shutting the door on the postman without signing due to my sheer excitement! I was extremely keen try to it and so i pulled out the charging cord so i could start charging it hoping to use it after dinner. Firstly the vacuum was incredibly easy to put together. 2 simple clicks and it was done! Secondly it had charge! While it was only 6 minutes or so i was elated to be able to use it straight away. I used the larger power head and could not believe the power the machine had. My floors that were 'vacuumed' on Saturday filled 1/4 of the cannister just in one room, pulling the dirt out that my old hopeless vacuum could not. I plugged the vacuum into charge fully and i cant wait to see how it performs on all my flooring surfaces!

So this week I did the dreaded task of putting up the Christmas tree, I say dreaded because I hate the bits of tinsel and tree that make such a mess when putting it up. Well, not a problem this year, the Dyson took care of it super fast and easy, no going back and forth because the little bits wouldn't go up, all done first time with the max button. Although I must confess after using the max button it is hard to go back to regular power as the max mode is addictive. It was also my turn to do the cleaning at church so guess who I took with me? Yup the Dyson was much easier to go between the pews than a big corded vac. I won't be going back after this !!

I like the fact that if you have an extra messy job to vacuum you can push the "power boost" button for extra suction power - this also shortens the time you can vacuum as it requires my battery power - but it is such a nice option to have ! When you are using the power boost - the button in the centre glows bright blue.

My house is cleaner for this machine. I love it but can see it's limitations. I will list the pro's and con's as i see them. Pro's Don't have to lug out my large traditional vacuum with long tasty hose. Don't need to buy (or try and empty), over priced vacuum bags. Has the sucking power of a traditional vacuum and i have a long haired dog so need as much as i can get. Can remove the rotating head to clean it. Awesome! Great selection of heads. Con's It wouldn't do for a large house as it gets warm after a while and stops if it goes for too long. It doesn't have a normal sized non spinning head. I find spinning heads can flick larger bits of first around on hard floors. If i have used it too long and it has gotten hot I'm not meant to attach to the charger straight away, sometimes i forget to go back and when i go to use it it's flat On the whole the pros totally outweigh the cons. I would say it's more suited for a smaller house though. On saying that i have al3 bedroom but do tend to do it in sections as i get time only doing a full run over once a week

I continue to be impressed with the power and versatility of the Dyson DC59. This week I tried the various attachments and was really impressed with the machines ability to clean and dust those hard to reach places. Window sills, skirting boards, the tops of cupboards and doors and light fittings were a breeze - and unlike using a regular duster, the dust was sucked away so it couldn't "resettle" a second later! I find the Dyson works better on carpet than tiles, so keep it upstairs where we have carpet - this means I no longer have to drag my old cleaner up and down the stairs and am able to vacuum the whole upstairs area without recharging.

The more i use this vacuum, the more i fall in love with it! Beforei got the Dyson, i would usually sweep my tiles on an alomost daily basis which was a mission but had to be done with three little kids and a cat! Especially under the dinner table because im sure more food was on the floor than actually got in their mouths so with the Dyson DC59 Digital Slim vacuum, i am able to get it out easily and vacuum under the table and chairs sooo much easier than using my big chunky and heavy kirby vacuum... and it is amazing the amount of food and cat hair it does pick up along with anything else in its way! It is just a pleasure to use! I loooove it! I actually keep it in my room so my kids cant get to it! Lol they think its mummies gun! Lol

I'm so glad I could say goodbye to my Wertheim 4808 for everyday use and say hello to the amazing Dyson DC59. This has really made my life so much easier. With a toddler who makes a mess all the time, this is so easy, convenient and lightweight to use my daughter even asks to clean up. So easy to empty and save so much time! Will be vacuuming the car today which is very rare for me!! I love it so much that I will use any excuse to use it :)

So I've used mine to spring clean my youngest daughters room wow what can I say I was able to do under her bed on top of her selfs and also the runner of the windows plus the security screens too and the top of her air con plus the front of the air con, I even used it to clean the ceiling fan. I had to empty about 5 times plus charge it up once to clean all of that and I can't believe all the dust that I was able to suck up with the Dyson. Every time I walk in that room I can't believe how clean the floor looks that I'm going to use it on my older daughters room to spring clean hers plus my room too. I've used all of the attachments and have found it so easy to change from one attachment to the next. Best thing I've every used for cleaning besides my steam mop lol ☺️ Thanks so much Mouths Of Mum for letting me trial this

So this is my 4th Post about the Dyson Dc59 Digital Slim Vacuum Animal. The video shows how easy my lil 3 year old can use it. Suchcan amazing vacuum. I will definitely not use any other brand.. I absolutely love it. I would say the Pro'ss are ..... No cords, you can just quickly grab it and vacuum, it picks up DOG HAIR which is fantastic! ! Makes our black carpet look like new!, light weight, awesome colour... great suction, .. Absolutely love it ;) Con's would be, battery doesn't last too long, as I jjst want to keep using it, and that you need to told the button down the whole time while vacuuming. Still our whole family niw love to vacuum and tgats unusual ;)

I am seriously loving the Dyson and can't stop talking about it to my friends. One of them has already lined her husband up so that she can get it for Christmas. I was impressed yesterday when my toddler had finished snacking on the couch and my husband (unprompted mind you!) grabbed the Dyson and started vacuuming the couch! Hooray, a tool that others will pick up and use! Even the toddler will have a go! I was cleaning in his room and loved how it flattened out to vac under the cot - confession, I don't think I've ever properly gotten under there since it was set up - eeek - felt so good to dump that dust in the bin.

So my car was filthy! I have three small kids aging 6, 4 and 3 ... The younger two are boys! I know right! Definition of Boy = noice with dirt on it! Hahaha

I've been using the Dyson now for a week and am loving it. With a two story house I love that it is cordless. It makes moving around the house so much easier. I love that I can clean up after the kids without having to get out the bulky vacuum. My only criticism is that the catcher is not big enough. I find myself having to clean it out after every use and and two - three times if I'm doing the whole house at once.

I can't believe how much my children (aged 9, 7 and 6) love cleaning up using the dyson digital slim vacuum cleaner. As soon as they see even a tiny piece of paper, fluff or dust or anything of the sort, the rush to get the vacuum cleaner. My house has never been cleaner. The ultimate test was on Saturday night when we had a BBQ with friends. 8 adults and 12 kids. We had popcorn, cake, salad etc. It was so quick and easy to pick up the cordless dyson as opposed to get my big bulky vacuum cleaner out to plug in. The mess was quickly removed and the party continued. I can actually say I like cleaning now that it is so easy.

Gave the Dyson DC59 a thorough workout over the weekend. Having fully charged it a few days earlier, was a little surprised that the charge only lasted to vacuum two rooms and the stairs, although could be because it had been sitting unused for a few days. The ease of use and powerful suction continue to amaze me. The kids are still fighting over who will do the vacuuming - hope that continues!! I will never go back to another brand now that I have tried Dyson - the power is just far superior.

We vacuumed on saturday with our regular vacuum and thought to keep the dyson as a tidy up vacuum. I just finished vacuuming my son's room with the dyson 2 days after it was vacuumed with our regular vacuum and the photo attached is the result You think your vacuum is picking it all up.....think again! This photo is also dust from bookcase, window sill and tv etc so not just the floor that was vacuumed on saturday

We have had the Dyson for almost a week now and I used it every day. Yesterday I tried out all the attachments that came with the vacuum. Starting with the cobwebs on the ceilings, the Dyson is so light that it was easy to quickly whip around the house and remove them all, I can't even remember the last time I did it! Next up was the couch which has removable cushions, I always find a plethora of items under them, mainly dust and crumbs from the kids eating on it. The different attachments are easily changeable so switching them mid job was a breeze. Hubby then used the Dyson in the afternoon when cleaning the car after a trip to the beach. He had the max button on and although he got the job done, the battery got quite hot and I think the thermal cut-out kicked in. We checked for blockages after it had cooled down but found none.

First review: From the minute I first laid eyes on the box, I knew this would be an exciting addition to our family! I unpacked the box & didn't even need the instructions to put it all together. It literally only took 2 clicks & it was assembled! Wahoo! We have a troublesome dark blue runner carpet in our hallway & the only way I could get the white cat hairs out of it properly with our old vacuum was to put my runners on & drag my foot over the carpet to collect piles of cat hair, before vacuuming. I vacuumed 2 days ago with our old vac & I just went over the hall carpet with the new Dyson & oh my freeeking gosh - the dust & cat hair that came out of the carpet was unbelievable! How can so much dirt come from a carpet that looks clean? This new Dyson has amazingly strong auction & it will make my house a much cleaner place! It only had about 4-5 mins charge so I was actually sad when the battery died. I'll have to wait 3.5 hours before I can use it again. Until then, my awesome & pretty Dyson vac, until then... 5 out of 5 so far.

Now I don't know if its the colour of the Dyson Dc59 Digital Slim Vacumm but my 3 year old is actually starting to fight me to do the vacuuming. As i go to grab it she trys to snatch it first then screams if I dont give her a go. Which isnt a bad thing, teech them early. My opinions are still exactly the same. Absolutely love it. Our rug that had so much dog hair is now spotless! The only negative would be that you always need to hold the button down to keep it on. It would be good if there was a switch. But still the best vacumm we have ever used ;)

What an amazing machine! I finally got to use it properly since getting back from our trip and it performed awesomely! My 3 year old autistic boy even had a go! which is even more amazing, it is so easy to use and so lightweight that it is enjoyable! I could get right behind our bedside tables and high enough to get the cobwebs down from the air con! Not to mention the brush attachment to clean the aircon filter!

I'm SO excited! You know you're a Mum when you feel like Christmas has come early with the arrival of a new cleaning appliance! I haven't even charged it yet but had to have a quick go before putting it on to charge. So easy to put together without even reading the instructions. Light and manoeuvres really easily. Looks great. Worked really well on cleaning up all the dried up rice sitting under my toddlers high chair from last night! I can see already that I'm going to love this and my hubby will love that I'm cleaning my floors more often!

As soon as i heard the parcel man pull into the driveway i rushed to the door before he had even rung the doorbell. When i saw the size of the box i knew it was my new Dyson and got butterflies in excitement! My husband put it all together for me and mounted it on the wall in it's own special little spot unlike the old bulky vacuum that was always stashed away in the laundry cupboard! Not only is this a wonderful stylish looking appliance but the way it has it's very own wall caddy that also holds the other attachments and is very easy to remove and replace before and after each use. I could not wait to use it and from the moment i turned it on i was very impressed at how well it sucks up everything just like a normal vacuum you plug into the wall. I am absolutely in love with my new Dyson and can not thank Mouth of Mums enough for allowing me the privledge of being a part of this amazing review!!!

I was SO excited when my package arrived and couldn't wait to get vacuuming, so I pulled it all out and put it together immediately. It was so straightforward and easy to clip in so no instructions needed but the most impressive thing so far? How it looks... I don't even want to hide it away in a cupboard it's so stylish! I fell in love at first 'vroom' - the power of my HANDHELD Dyson was SO much stronger than my old plug in, cords everywhere, can't get to everywhere I want it to machine. I was completely blown away. My 3 year old got caught up in the excitement and came over to 'help'. So I gave her a turn, it's so easy to use that she was happily vacuuming in no time! From there it ran out of charge (as I hadn't even charged it up to begin with) so I easily found the cords and plugged it in. The next morning I was able to vacuum my whole townhouse without having to recharge, I did the stairs with absolutely ease which I always put off with my old vacuum as I had to hold the base AND try not to trip over cords whilst I did it. VERY IMPRESSED with my first couple of vac's - can't wait to keep using it and see how long between charges I can use it for!

I was so excited when mine arrived today but couldn't open it until I had picked up my two girls up from school. Once we got back I was able to open it with my two girls and the three children I look after which all of them where excited about. So I used it to vacum up the birds feathers & bird seed and what ever else was on the floor. I can't believe the power it has and how quick it was to vacum the house. I can't wait to vacum the car tomorrow with it and I think I'll even take before and after pictures as the car is really dirty so it will get a good work out tomorrow

Ok... so I already posted a review this morning but I have to do an update. I didn't even pay attention to how much dust/pet hair etc came out of the rug that was challenging to clean with other vacuum cleaners. I got home from running some errands, moved my pretty (yes..pretty!) new vacuum cleaner and saw what was in the canister..... Ew! That was just a quick clean up while trying out the Dyson on the most disgusting rug to see how it would cope and it did so well. Check out the pic of what came out of a 2 minute clean of a short pile rug. Best vacuum cleaner ever!

I received my Dyson vacuum cleaner this morning. It was easy to assemble and didn't take long to charge. Just as I started using it to see how well it worked, my 13 year old daughter came home from school. She asked if she could have a go. When I finally managed to get it back off her she commented that she would enjoy vacuuming with it! Hopefully this will encourage her to keep her room clean so that she can use the new Dyson to vacuum her floor.

This is one of the best vacuum cleaners that I have ever used! It also takes up such a little amount of space! It has a great amount of suction. It even sucks up pet hair! It is so versatile and by far the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever owned. Thank you to Dyson and mouths of mum for a great review. The dyson vac is a great value for money too!

Every morning I come into the lounge room to survey the trail of destruction my kids have already created, normally there is dry cereal all over the carpet! This used to drive me crazy but now I just pick up my Dyson and suck it all up! I actually tried using my old vacuum cleaner the other day and after 2 minutes gave up and picked up my Dyson again. I was able to finish the vacuuming whilst carrying my 9 month old teething baby around!

I love love love using my dyson slim vacuum especially for the busy areas of my house that get used daily with alot of mess. Instead of lugging out my vaccum with the cord getting in the way I can zip around in no time. Even my kids love using the slim vacuum for their rooms, saves me a job!

We just moved to a 2 storey house with ducted vacuuming & boy is that a hassle to get the super long however many metre hose our & drag it around the house or upstairs . . . the Dyson DC59 on the other hand is so light & easy to use that not only have our daughter's been keen to use it but even our eldest daughter's boyfriend has used it while waiting on our daughter, haha, how good is that. Only problem is I might have to get a second one so we have one upstairs & one downstairs as each time I go to use it, it's been moved to one of the rooms downstairs haha :)

Love the machine, it is light and easy to use. I can use it in places that it is hard to reach using the big Dyson vacuum cleaner. It is so useful especially for clean up after my kid have her meal. I live near the main road and it can get quite dusty, now I can easily have a quick clean up everyday. My mum hate doing housework, even she love to use this machine to clean. The only thing I think need to improve is the filter, it is not very secure on the spot, it is very easy to fall out.

The Dyson DC59 Animal makes cleaning up quick and easy. It is conveniently wall mounted (wall mounting took a little bit of time and effort, but it was worth it) and I love that the extra attachment connect onto the wall mount. It is so easy to grab and quickly clean up little mess, like food crumbs on the floor and couch, or give the kids' room a quick clean. My only complaint would be that the canister is not the easiest to empty...great that it is just a flick of a switch to open, but we often have stuff get stuck in the canister and the lid can also get in the way of emptying it.

We absolutely love our Dyson DC59! In a household with two messy, crumby little kids, it now means we can quickly whip around at the end of the day (or the end of each meal sometimes...!) and pick up all the crumbs, dust etc so that our house looks at least somewhat respectable! And as opposed to our big corded vacuum which then ids hate, they love the Dyson and actually want to help clean with it. Also super handy for cleaning the car, and since we live near the beach my car is always getting sandy so this is a winning feature!! This little machine is great when the kids spill cumbs on the floor. It saves my dragging the big vacuum cleaner out of the cupboard. It is so quick and easy to use. I also find it great for cleaning the ground left invthe coffee machine. I would recommend that if you dont have something like this then don't buy anything else. It has been very handy for me.

Having a toddler in the house means time is limited and mess is plentiful! We have a barrel Dyson which we love, but is sometimes a hassle to pull out and lug around to clean up a few crumbs. With the Dyson stick vacuum, there are no hassles to just grab it and clean up the mess, with its powerful motor and compact design, it is perfect for busy mums.

I already have a dyson floor vac and the DC 44, i wanted to try the dc59 to compare with the Dc 44, i love it, more powerful and gets the job done quicker, the only negative is the filter on the top fall's out all the time. Surely this design fault could be easily fixed.

This is the best cordless vacuum I've ever used. With powerful motor it works like a corded vacuum but maximum mobility. I use it whenever I want to clean the floor - without worrying about where to plug it to, I use it to clean the car etc. 100% satisfied with this product.

So a few days ago I lent my lovely new Dyson to a friend to try out. (still waiting for it back!!!) I had to use my old corded vacuum cleaner to clean up.... yeah.... that was not fun! I did realise how much I love my Dyson, what I didn't realise was how much I'd fallen out of love with my old one! (wasn't really into it to begin with to be honest!) The cord was a pain in the behind getting tangled and having to shift it out of the way. I kept hitting the walls with the barrell and it was just so big and clunky. When I do get my Dyson back.. hint, hint friend!!... I will be showing it some extra love and attention and sending the old corded, barrel vacuum cleaner out to the shed!

Our garage is on the bottom level of our house (down some very very slippery stairs), and so it's incredibly difficult to get our main vacuum down to the car to give it a once over. The Dyson DC59 Animal has made cleaning the car such a breeze, and I no longer worry about falling down the stairs, or hurting my back lugging the big vacuum around. Not only is it easily manoeuvred, but it gave the car a great clean, particularly after our lovely dog shed all his hair over the back seat. I am absolutely loving my Dyson DC59 Animal. While it doesn't replace my main vacuum when I do a "big" clean, it's great for high traffic areas and particularly around the dining table after the kids have let loose. It's also got the whole family involved (something I never thought I would see happen).

I have been a fan of Dyson for awhile now since buying the DC54 Animal corded vacuum cleaner, which is outstanding. But with two little kids I find ways to save precious minutes invaluable! The cordless Dyson lets me save time & keep the floor clean. Sure it doesn't seem like much to just grab the vacuum, plug it in, clean up, unplug & pack away but since having the cordless I find it so much easier to just grab it, vacuum & put it back! I can whizz around the whole house in 15mins & I have a 4x2 house. By the time I finish its packed with dirt, dust & cat hair (I have 3!) & the floor didn't even look that dirty! Usually to do the whole house I would have to plug & unplug 6 times which is just a hassle when your trying to be quick before one of the kids needs your attention again. Its great for cleaning up the crumbs under the high chair & sand when the kids (or hubby!) come in with dirty feet. The long extension takes care of any cobwebs & I love the brush attachment for cleaning dusty surfaces like the TV unit.

One of the best things about the Dyson (and there are a lot) is the fact you can easily without much effort at all clean up high. We have high ceilings and sky lights which were always full of spiderwebs. I used to have to try to hold the heavy larger vacuum in one hand and negotiate the ladder. Now I just reach up and suck the cobwebs up. Too easy! I love it!

Can't believe how easy and powerful this little vacuum cleaner is. Very light and easy to use. So good that hubby who was reluctant at first, now uses it. I highly recommend it.

I was so excited when I received my Dyson DC59! Got it out of the box & onto the charger straight away! It has exceeded my expectations - it now makes it so easy to clean up the kitchen floor after my toddlers messes, my big Dyson doesn't get as much use these days! I couldn't be happier with it & would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hand held vac! It has just as much sucking power as my big Dyson. Love it! (The only thing that annoys me slightly is that the filter falls out if you tip the vac on its side/upside down without it being turned on. Not too much of a hassle though, just pop it back in & away you go!!)

The Dyson DC59 is an amazing machine, so light and easy to use and works great on carpet and floor boards. Highly Recommended!!!

This is the best vacuum I have ever used. I currently have an Electrolux Ultrapower Stick Vacuum which I bought a few years ago as I have a bad back and hips and found that it was the lightest one around at the time but the Dyson DC59 is even lighter and perfect for my needs. I have an indoor long haired cat and the Dyson picked up his fur so easily without the need to keep going over the same spot. The first test I gave my new Dyson was to vacuum a large mat after I had vacuumed it with my Electrolux. I was stunned to see how much extra fur and dust it picked up that had still been left behind in the carpet by the Electrolux. The only downsides I found was that the dust compartment filled up really fast (due to how effective it is) and the filter falls out of the top if you hold it at the wrong angle but these are only minor nit picking issues. The Dyson has been reviewed by experts as having the same power as my Electrolux stick vacuum so I was a bit wary but although it has almost identical power it is better than the Electrolux due to the motorised head with carbon fibre filaments enabling it to remove even the finest dust! I found the Dyson lightweight, super powerful and could even clean the ceilings with ease! Plus, for added value it even transforms into a handy "Dust Buster" for cleaning the car or hard to get places like skirting boards and couch cushions. So thank you Dyson for making my life easier and less painful!!! AAAA++++

Even after a couple of months of the Dyson Animal being in our home the novelty hasn't worn off. I love that hubby will pick it up and clean up toddler dirt that is forever collecting on the kitchen floor! Cleaning the car is a breeze with the attachments and I have been recommending it to all my friends! Now I just have to get hubby to hang it up! Thanks for bringing this product to our attention, best one I have ever tried.

I have left my final review until after my post holiday clean. It was a tremendous help. Behind the fridge, up in the ceiling corners and even out to the car it was my daily companion. I turn it on to charge each morning and off again once I am finished for the day. No longer do I have to drag out the big old vacuum and cords if people are dropping by, I can grab the Dyson off the wall and do a quick clean up. I vacuum as soon as my 3 year old has finished eating and after the dog (labrador) has been in the house. The best part of the Dyson's convenience is that my husband will even grab it off the wall and do a quick clean - bonus! Thanks Dyson for a revolutionary product!

Love the new features such as the drop in filter & larger head, so easy to use! I upgraded from the DC44 animal & am pleasantly surprised by the difference in the 2, much prettier too which is always a winner in my eyes ;) It goes from carpet to hardwood with ease & is the perfect machine for cleaning up after my toddler who loves to cruise around the house with food in hand! Well worth the extra dollars as dyson go the distance :)

Ok, I don't have kids, but i do live in a 5 bedroom house with an ever-shedding golden retriever. I have a ducted vacuum thoughout the house and thought it got all the dirt, although needed some elbow grease to get the dog fur up. After vacuuming with the ducted I then went through and vacuumed with the Dyson, and was amazed/horrified at how much fur/dirt/dust the dyson still picked up after I'd already vacuumed! This Dyson vacuum is amazing. It's hard to keep on top of a moulting dog on hardwood floors, but this vacuum is easy. I dont need to bust a rib to get the fur off the carpet. It's lightweight and gets under the bed easily. The attachments make it easy to use in the car etc. Downsides are that it's quite noisy, and has a relatively short battery life - I do half the house at a time (but I have a large area to vacuum). The dirt catchment fills up quite quickly and I have to empty it multiple times during a vacuum session - as I said, there's lots of fur. However, I would highly recommend this vaccum.

I am absolutely astounded how great this vacuum is! Its so easy to just pull it out and give a quick vacuum. I am using it everyday, and the amount of dust and hair this thing sucks is amazing. Highly recommended- well worth the money (but I got it for 50% off, thanks MOM!!!)

Loving the Dyson vacuum, it has been hard to use it tho as my hubby loves vacuuming now! He is happy to do the cleanup after dinner as it is now fast & easy. My only issue is I hardly get to use it. Everyone in the family is keen to use as it is super easy to use & fast to wiz around & vacuum. Thanks Dyson for making my life easier!

This week I decided to give my car a quick clean over the Dyson DC 59. I started with front floors and then followed onto the back ones, I reach the boot area with my rotational nozzle, unfortunately my vacuum did run out of power. But once I got back to it I found that the clean that I got was better than a professional CarClean that I had in the past, it did a fantastic job.

I received my half-price DC59 Animal on Friday and I have vacuumed every day since! Up until now I had to sweep the carpet before using my ancient 2005 Dyson because it just couldn't do the job on its own. I vacuumed with my new DC59 (on booster) and I had to empty it before the power ran out! I couldn't believe how powerful it is. Once it was recharged, I re-set it on normal and zipped around the house in no time. No extension cords. No barrel getting caught around corners. No time-consuming unclipping of everything to empty it. Sorry old 2005 model, you are history. I love my Animal and I love vacuuming! My family thinks I've gone mad. I am vacuuming the house every day. It is just so fast and so easy. Thank you for granting me my wish for a new vacuum cleaner at a price I can afford! I think I'll just go and vacuum the lounge again :)

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER by the wonderful team at MoM. I was in the car on the way back from a long exhausting trip to the hospital 5 hours away each trip. I heard my phone ding and then my email said check here to see if you were successful in your application to review a DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER, I held my breath thinking my chances were zero as I know there were thousands of wonderful deserving applicants. Then finally halfway in the middle of a limited reception zone the page loaded ‘Congratulations’. I think from that stage I was floating on a magical cloud because in all reality I wouldn’t ever be able to afford to buy one, yet I always longed for one and admired their commercials and their beautiful products. The day the DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER has arrived I had already vacuumed my house using my tiny little hand held guy mentioned and photographed in the application. I always thought that little thing did a decent job considering it was meant for small hand held jobs. Then after charging my DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER I preciously vacuumed my house with the look of Marlene Dietrich on my face, proud, German, arched smitten eyebrows and a smirk that would rival Lucille Ball. After doing just the bedroom and the little rug on the living room floor the canister was full. I don’t mean full of large objects like crumbs or little pet hairs but full to the brim of the smallest particles I have ever seen in my life. The particles were so small they must have been embedded in the fibres like cement because I thought my floors looked well… clean. My proud look turned to horror when I realised how filthy my house in fact was. As I continued to vacuum, I must give the DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER credit because my home is really an old barn, a Queenslander raised on stumps so a lot of the flooring is floorboards, the older style with large gaps. The DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER faithfully managed to suck up the dust from these large floorboard cracks without even a care in the world, like a faithful friend who would do anything for you. The DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER also was for me, very easy to use. My husband mounted the charging unit on the wall and it slides in and out effortlessly and uses only a minimal amount of space which in a small home is really efficient. Vacuuming is not only enjoyable but it doesn’t cause much strain at all. The DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER holds its own weight on the floor and you simply hold the handle and glide it over whatever you need to vacuum. The swivel head by the way is divine, glorious, exceptional and like the poltergeist the way it turns right around almost with its own mind knowing that you need to clean a special corner or nook. As a feminist I feel slightly guilty to say that I do not like when my husband wants to vacuum. The DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER is really enjoyable to use, the filth it extracts from the floors is uncanny, its really plausible. Almost as if someone came in the night and let a dust and dirt bomb explode, because sure enough that cheeky DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER finds more dust each time I use it. It’s really a lot of fun and it works very well. My allergies to everything (cats, dogs, dust, and life) which I never believed I had yet took antihistamine tablets for have disappeared. I have not had to use them since about a week after I was granted the DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER to review. It is worth the higher end cost. If you are like me and things are very tight and money is really hard to come by, and need a vacuum I would truly still recommend the DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUME CLEANER, a payment plan or a savings account. It is such a fantastic, useful and pleasant vacuum cleaner to have. Please note that I have made an amazing video but still which does not show you as does real life how great the DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUUM CLEANER is! I hope everyone gets a chance to try the DYSON DC59 DIGITAL SLIM VACUUM CLEANER, once you try you will buy!

I have had to do a couple of clean ups, as you do with a couple of little ones, including a talcum powder incident. Out came the dyson, and the clean up was a breeze. You know how when you vacuum up talcum powder and all you can smell fro the vacuum cleaner, out the back vent, is the smell of the powder, well none of that happens with the dyson. Just a quick clean up and no more smells.

So this is my last review, now if this vacuum isn't already under the Christmas tree it NEEDs to be !!! This vacuum has made my life so much easier and quicker. A vacuum may not sound like a romantic Christmas present but I am sure everyone out there would love it. With the limited battery life, you do need to plan what and where you vacuum if you have a large house, however my house is the right size as I can get the whole thing done in one go.

So I thought I would be super smart and use the Dyson to suck the air out of a space saver vacuum bag where I was storing my winter quilt, however due to the design of the nozzle you cannot get a clean seal and therefore it won't work for this - I was excited thinking how convenient not having to get the cord vac out to do it, but sadly I hod to do it the old way..... This is the first thing I've found it couldn't do, awesome in every other aspect!

So after a few weeks of vacuuming with Dixie the Dyson. I can safely say it is the easiest vacuum cleaner I have ever used. 1st world problem I know but I used to hate getting my old vacuum cleaner out plugging it in then chasing myself around in circles trying to avoid the cord, avoid the baby who kept following my around and turning it off etc. So now that there is no cord, I am not chasing myself around in circles and the baby is fine to follow me as she cannot turn it off!! I've mentioned before that there are no negatives about this vacuum cleaner. It's great. If I was to give one genuine criticism, it's that there are parts of the cleaner that feel a little "plasticy" (again.. is that even a word!) What I mean is that, this is a pretty pricey vacuum cleaner and there are parts that feel like they are from a cheaper type of brand. Having said that, it is still robust in the main tube (pretty purple bit) and the suction is awesome. So if the "plasiticy" bits holds up over time I have no reason to complain.

This is my 3rd review now; Today I put the Dyson DC59 to work on getting rid of the ceiling cobwebs. We have exposed raked ceilings in our living areas & unfortunately the down side of having these is the spiders enjoy this & there "were" a lot of them to get rid of. It wasn't a task like it normally is, because of the Dyson DC59. I put on the attachment & off I went & I did it all in one charge. It was so nice & light to hold overhead, the suction meant that I didn't have to hold it in one area for long periods & now I can take comfort in knowing that not only are all the floor surfaces cleanse is the ceiling

Review 3 - the car! We have a hand held chargeable vacuum which I used to use to clean the car but it only ever lasted about 5 minutes so I could only ever do a really quick vac. When I cleaned the car with the Dyson, I did a quick vac initially but the battery lasted ages so I was able to do a really proper clean! It's amazing how much dust & dirt it picks up that you don't realise is there! Plus all the sand in the back from my toddler loving the sand pit & taking her shoes & socks off in the car! It's so easy to unclip the long extension pole & attach the motor unit to the smaller cleaning head. So easy to do the car now & it gets more out of the foot mats than the old vac. It is a bit of a pain to keep emptying the dust out all the time, but at the same time it's strangely satisfying to see how much actual dirt it has picked up. I just wish the container that collects the dirt was a bit bigger to collect more!

Review 2 - the deep clean! The first review was just a short one after the initial quick vac using the pre-charged battery. But now I have had a chance to do a few thorough cleans with our new Dyson DC59 & have found that it is so much better than our old vac. The Dyson DC59 swivels really easily so I don't have to move furniture around so much. Plus it fits under tables & chairs easily. It's so light that it can go anywhere! It's so much quicker now & the whole house is done in a flash! The suction is so strong that it gathers dust & pet hairs from under the fridge, which the old vac didn't. Hubby comes home from work & wants a go because it's fun. My 2 year old even wants a try. Carpets used to be a real nightmare... I would have to put my runners on & drag my foot across the carpets to gather all the cat hairs in a pile. It would take ages. But now I just vacuum it with the Dyson! See photo for the blue carpet in question. I'm not just saying this for the review - it really is a good vacuum. I have been honest with my reviews & I will be posting my suggestions for improvements in review 4. Next up: review 3 - the car!!

I bought our last vacuum cleaner a few years ago on the promise that it would 'turn vacuuming into a joy'...it failed miserably at this as it was easy to vacuum on hard floors, however, when you reached the carpet things got a lot more difficult. The only way I could manage to effectively use it was to drop the handle towards the floor as I went resulting in vacuuming 'bent over', not great on your back at all. I would always need to rest afterwards as it turned out to be quite a workout! Currently I am 30 weeks pregnant with bad pelvic and lower back issues, I used to dread having to get the vacuum cleaner out as it really was hard work. The Dyson has changed all that, I can vacuum with a good posture, it is so lightweight and easy to manoeuvre and effective too. I no longer stress over the mess the kids make of the carpet as I can just whip out the Dyson and it is cleaned up in no time, in fact they often want to use it themselves. Hubby even happily picks it up and quickly whizzes round the room without being asked now! Very happy with it so far!!

As I said in my last post, I couldn't wait to try the Dyson DC59 digital slim vacuum cleaner on the tiles in my bathroom to get all of my hair up. Well unfortunately I was unable to do it, as my hubby grabbed the vacuum out of my hand and wouldn't give it back. In saying that he got all the hair up from the tiles. The Dyson DC59 works great on tiles and made our floor look shinny and new again. Sunday morning, he had the Dyson out again cleaning the floors before I had even got out of bed. Thanks Dyson. The downside to the DC59 though is the small bin, you have to clean it out regularly... I guess thats the price you pay for having something small and lightweight..

World's Best Vacuum - now that's a BIG call ! I can honestly say this has got to be the world's best ! Awesome suction , compact size , Cordless & easy to operate ! What more can you ask for ?!! Sure it is on the expensive side - but the 2 year warranty is fabulous , I have already dealt with Dyson Customer service team & they are wonderfull as well ! I have nothing but positive comments on this vacuum !

Loving the cordless Dyson DC59 ! The convenient docking station is an awesome feature - the Dyson can be hanging up & charging - ready to go for the next vacuuming session ! There is also a spot on the charging station for to of the other Dyson attachments. Super convenient ! I also love the purple metallic powdercoated finish of the vacuum ! Very modern-contemporary looking.

The Dyson DC59 comes complete with 2 X power head attachments - one for carpets (smaller attachment) and one for hard floors - I have attached a photo of the "larger" powerhead for hard floors. It seems to work really great & can apparently be taken apart really easily if stuff gets caught up in it (string / hair/ ribbon , ect) I seem to use this attachment more often (it covers a bigger area) and works really great on my carpets !

Cleaning up after setting up the christmas tree was made so much easier with the Dyson Digital Slim! I could go right around the tree with ease and didn't have to move it to clean, it got right around the stand and it sucked those pesky pine needles up with ease! My 10 year old uses it, my 3yo autistic son isn't scared of it and what's more amazing is my husband has vacuumed 3 times! YES 3 times! AMAZING. This is a vacuum that really does do everything.

I am going to enjoy the fact my 7 year old wants to help vacuum. Now i might have more time to get more done, while she helps clean. :). With the vacuum cleaner being less noisy compared to my other one, she doesn't mind using it. I can't complain with any of the features so far. Can't wait to clean my car next week and check out the small compact side of it. :)

Well one week on and the obsession with my DC59 is still going strong! This thing is the best! I've never ever vacuumed so much haha! Now they just need to bring out one that also washes my floor and I'm set. This week we've been getting our car ready to sell so I tried some of the attachments out to clean the car. It did a fantastic job. No need to drag my other vacuum cleaner out to the shed. Actually my other vacuum cleaner hasn't left the laundry cupboard since the arrival of the DC59. Anyway, it did a fantastic job in the car. The mini motorised head was fantastic in getting all the ground in dirt off the car floor and the other thin tube bit was great for getting into all the little gaps. Very happy with the DC59. Highly recommend.

well this is my 4th review on the dyson.. the fact that I've vacuumed 4 times since receiving it says it all really lol. Today i vacuumed the car. The attachments were fantastic and it did a great job. Overall I am very impressed with the dyson. Its easy to use and powerful. Anything that can make vacuuming enjoyable is a fantastic edition to any household. Thank you again for letting me review it and keep it!! My carpet and myself are eternally grateful!!

I decided to see how much time I was saving doing my vacuuming with the Dyson DC59. Two days ago I pulled out my corded cleaner and progressed through the house, power point to power point noting what time I started and stopped. Just finishing the same area with my cordless Dyson DC59 and WOW, I'm now sitting down having coffee with time to spare. 12 minutes off any household chore is a huge plus and it never faulted in suction etc. Really impressed and highly recommended!!

So, we've had a rough week in our household with a very sick toddler. The last thing on my mind would usually be vacuuming. But, Dixie the Dyson, (yes, we named it!) has seriously been amazing. No cord, means I, or hubby, would grab it and quickly run it over the floors. It instantly made the house feel a whole lot cleaner and tidier. I was then less worried about the baby picking up things off the floor as we weren't able to keep as close an eye on that as usual. Did you hear me say just now.. hubby would grab it! I am not kidding when I tell you what he actually said after using it "If I knew is was this easy and a just a little bit fun, I'd have done it sooner!"

Still love this product. However i do have to remind myself that it is still a cordless vacuum, although it leaves my old dustbuster for dead. One things to remember are that it must have to stay on the charger when not in use (although it doesn't say this in the instructions). I left mine off overnight and it was flat.i love love love that you can remove the brush from the power head to clean it. All my other power head brushes on other vacuum have been impossible to get the hair out.

omg my husband has vacuumed three times this week alone! My husband has never vacuumed before lol. He says he can drink a beer and vacuum at the same time hahaha. He hasn't actually done that but he was holding our efourteen kilo baby plus vacuumed. He is looking for excuses to vacuum. He hates cords with vacuums and having to change the crowd in every room. With this Dyson he grabs it ready to go and starts cleansing I'm amazed and in love this is the best Christmas present to myself so far thank you at mouths of mums!

I am totally in love with the Dyson DC59 ! After talking to the lovely "Donna" at Dyson Customer Support Line & mentioning the wall unit that holds the vacuum while charging din't "latch on" very tightly she ordered me a replacement & it already arrived ! Fabulous customer service ! This unit is so lightweight & easy to maneuver around the house - it makes vacuuming a pleasure ! I just LOVE this vacuum - Thank-you so much Mouths Of Mums for selecting me to review it - best Christmas prezzy EVER ! :)

Are my friends only friends for my vacuum cleaner? Haha! Today we got invited to a play date with a neighbour, oh and could I please bring my new vacuum to try out?! Now they're just as hooked as I am! The DC59 was light enough to carry down the road in one hand while carrying my toddler in the other arm. Both husband and wife had to give it a whirl and they loved it. They were amazed at the suction it had, even saying they think they'll get one instead of replacing their corded vacuum cleaner. The DC59 worked just as well if not better apparently. She was able to vacuum her whole house on one charge, yes she did have to empty the barrel a couple times but that was only a small inconvenience rather than having to drag around a regular vacuum cleaner behind her and changing the power points a few times. She also thinks the ease of just being able to grab it off the docking station and go will motivate her to vacuum her floors more often. I agree, I've never vacuumed my house multiple times up until now!

Ok... So i got my Dyson DC59 Digital Slim Vacuum today and i was soooo excited to open the box and check it out! I sat and read the instruction which were extremely easy to follow and i assembled the vacuum with no trouble at all! IT IS SOOO LIGHT!!! So i then went around my house and tested it... WOW!!! This vacuum may be small but my gosh it sure packs a punch... And that is without the super suction button on! I had only vacuumed with my other vacuum a few days ago so thought I will just see how it gors... Well... There was sand and cat hair and all sorts sucked up in it and before long i had filled it almost to the max full line... So i thought i'll just press the red release button for the container... And i accidentily dropped some o the mess on my floor... Then ... (And get this!) I LAUGHED!!! ... Because that meant that i had some more mess to use my new vacuum on! Hahahaha! I ended up vacuuming my whole house in less then 20 mins because this Dyson vacuum was sooo easy and comfortable to use! I did the floor down the side of my toilet which usually i would be on all fours with a dust pan and brush sweeping it up manually or with a broom etc cause i couldnt fit my old poopy vacuum down there! AMAZING! I had to take pics of that before and after because it was AWESOME!

Oh my stars! My Dyson DC59 arrived yesterday. I waited until the kids were in bed to open the box.... it felt like Christmas! The first thing I noticed was that it is light. Very light. This is a very cleverly designed stick vacuum cleaner for a number of reasons. It is so very nice looking, it is light, it is incredibly easy to set up and use, the ball joint at the base of the cleaner means you can get into tight places really easily and being cordless is awesome! This is the first cordless vacuum cleaner I have ever had and I have to say it makes vacuuming so much easier. I first tried the Dyson out on the carpet in our rumpus/guest/home office (the room works hard for us!) and it cleaned up really well. But there was not too much beyond a little bit of garden dirt and sand from our busy boy that had been brought in. Next... this was where I thought the Dyson might struggle.... I tried it out on a rug that is underneath my computer desk. This rug is filthy. It cops a beating as I am in and out with and without shoes on between jobs with clients. It gets the kids on it with shoes on as they run in and want to play a little on the computer and there was cat hair well and truly worked into the fibres. Sounds gross right... it was! I have cleaned this rug weekly with our vacuum cleaner but the best it could do was remove the surface dirt. The cat hair stuck to it. To get the cat hair out.. I had to get down on my hands and knees to work it out with a window squeegee (good tip for getting cat hair out.. however... it took a veeeeeeery long time and was just a pain in the butt!) I ran the Dyson over the carpet and I was genuinely shocked to see that it picked up the cat hair in just a few short runs over it.Seriously... have a look at the photos (I am embarrassed at how dirty this carpet was and frustrated at how hard it was to clean) but I am so willing to share the before and after photo because it worked so unbelievable well. The one part of my house that regularly got missed in our weekly vacuum was our stairs. Most because of how cumbersome our old vacuum cleaner was. It was a corded barrel one. The Dyson stick does the stairs so easily, the ball joint means I can get right to the edges of each step and I'm up and down the stairs in less than 2 mins! I can't wait to share the next few weeks of my vacuum cleaning adventures! (I'm a professional business owner who works from home and I never EVER thought I'd be so pleased to share my house cleaning stories with anyone!!)

I have just received my new Dyson! We got back from a 5 hour drive and half an hour later it was delivered, talk about great timing! I have not been able to use it fully yet but I have given it a whirl! And my 10 year old son was even excited and said even he can vacuum now! << Now that IS amazing :) So far it is very easy to use and set up, easy to charge, small and compact, light weight, even my 3 year old could use it! I can't wait to give it more of a run. Thank you! This mum is absolutely ecstatic!

i received my dyson today, and of course i immediately had to put it to the test. I assembled it which took no time at all and gave our carpet a quick once over.. I am both insanely impressed yet at the same time revolted with what it picked up!! lol I filled up the canister in no time at all. Its so easy to use and fantastic not having a cord to contend with. I can tell this beast is going to be so well used in my household. And huge bonus, my dog, who usually goes nuts when i use my old vacuum cleaner, doesnt bark at the dyson. My girl has taste lol Thanks so much MOM for this opportunity!!!

Yippee hooray today's the day! I received my Dyson today (thank you) and decided to put it to the test straight away. My test was on the mat that sits inside our main entrance. I ran over it how I usually would with my current cord free Electrolux and it looked clean. I then ran over it with the Dyson (literally a quick back and forth) and I was horrified to see how much was left behind. The photo speaks for itself. Now I'm left wondering how filthy the rest of my house is!!! So far first impressions are awesome!

It was so lovely getting home today and finding a parcel on my front door. As soon as I assembled my vacuum cleaner (Which was so quick and easy) I took it for a test drive. OMG! This vacuum cleaner is amazing. I have never used a dyson before. It picked up the smallest particles off the floor and I can finally reach the picture rails up high. When my kids heard the vacuum cleaner they all wanted to have a go. I think they were slightly more excited then me. The ultimate test was my husband. He was drilling screws into the walls and of course made a huge mess with brick dust everywhere. One quick sweep with the dyson and the mess was gone. I think even he is convinced, Looking forward to posting more reviews. Will upload photos soon. :)

I love my Dyson digital slim! Its not too heavy and its quite powerful compared to other cordless vacs. its easy to assemble and empty. It charges in a reasonable amount of time to. I dont like that you have to hold the button down as my fingers get tired after a while!

Makes cleaning up so much easier than dragging out the full sized Dyson. Our 5 year old loves to vac with it and is actually effective. I find vacc'ing the car so easy now - no cord, smaller and more manoeuvrable. The only shortcomings are that the trigger must be held down, the unit heats up and most importantly with the motor head on tile the small items, crumbs etc, are often flicked out the back rather than sucked up. Having said that, far better than any handy vac we have had before and so much more flexible in use than the full size.

I already have a dyson but the dyson dc59 is so much more handy that I find myself vacuuming more regularly. Such a good investment.

I don't know why I waited so long to get my hands on one of these, it has changed my life! We have a large hairy black dog who is inside most of the time, and this cordless vacuum is just what I needed to get rid of all that hair. I can whip around the house quickly and effortlsly and it does a brilliant job. This cordless vacuum is better then my corded vacuum, which I think will now sit in the corner. The trigger button i thought may become annoying, but it has been fine and helps with the battery time. I do find that the canister fills up quickly, but I just empty as I go. The battery is long enough for me to get around the bottom part of my house without running flat, which is all I need. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone with kids and animals it does a great job, and is a great time saver. I now find I am vacuuming more often and keeping on top of it.

Is one of the best product I have been able to trial. As I have 2 golden retrievers who have the run of the place and love to bring in grass all the time, having the Dyson on hand is so easy to pick this up. Have also found it is so strong in picking up anything from my rugs that I had no idea how much dirt was still on the rugs. Highly recommend the Dyson DC59 for great suction and the battery life before having to recharge is better then any other small vaccum cleaner.

I, like many men, am lazy when it comes to cleaning. My work environment, with my chunky desktop, always was dusty until I got myself DC59 Animal. It was too much of a hassle for me to drag my DC29 out, clean it. I used to do vacuum once a week, now I do it every day because it’s so easy with DC59. Just because it is small, it doesn’t mean that it’s weak. I find it to have to umph that I need for cleaning, I personally think it is as strong as DC29 or at least comparable. If I can cord it while using it, I would’ve made it my main vacuum cleaner. It’s something minute but, I hope for next model gets a locking mechanism instead of trigger. Then again, button is responsive and it doesn’t tire me at all while using it. So I am simply nitpicking on otherwise a lovely product. So my verdict, I recommend it to anyone who wants that umph for cleaning small space without bringing in the hassle.

Fantastic Product always being used following our toddler and cleaning up after the dog brings his leaves an garden bits inside. Our 2nd Dyson and our first is still going strong after 7 years.

This is a fantastic product. The power is amazing and it picks up the dogs hairs. It is light and easy to use and packs away so neatly. As it is so easy to use I stay on top of the house cleaning as I do it more frequently. I have 3 Dyson's and I love them all but this is my favorite.

The dyson digital slim is a lightweight, slim vacuum that can easily clean your whole house in minutes. It's quick and easy to take apart and add in additional attachments to make cleaning on a higher level easier. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone looking to purchase =)

Loved the little dyson DC59! Light and super easy to use. doesn't take up a lot of space to store and has totally replaced our bulky corded vaccumm cleaner (house not big) Husband loved it so much, he's been doing the vacuuming! LOL! bonus! I'm a lazy cleaner, so i tend to leave cleaning to only during the weekend, but with the DC59, i just clean as i go! I just hope Dyson's next hand held version comes with replacement batteries just to keep it going longer!

I got my Dyson just before Christmas so I wrapped it up and put it under the tree....when i used it on Christmas night, after 15 people had visited for lunch, I was Horrified to see the amount of dust that came out of my carpets!!! They are now as clean as they can possibly be, thanks to my 5 year old who now loves to help Mummy clean the house!! I have 3 kids under 5, all of whom love their food, but aren't that tidy at the table, so I am loving the convenience of the Dyson to clean under the table after every meal. Saves me heaps of time. I even did a quick clean of the car this afternoon while the baby was asleep - too easy!! Love this product but wish it had the ability to keep the power on without having to hold the button down - I have little hands!

Amazing - best cordless vac on the market!!!! The DC59 Animal is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. 5/5 for convenience 5/5 for suction 5/5 for easiness 5/5 for light weight 5/5 for simple emptying 5/5 for animal hair reduction I was very fortunate to take up the 50% off offer. I had wanted one of these bad boys for several months and even tried to get it on sale at a local retailer. Unfortunately the local retailer had sold out so I was waiting for another sale. The universe must have been looking after me as I'm never going to get 50% off. No matter what the price, this vacuum cleaner is well worth it. My fave function is the "BOOST" power and my only wish is that it would last longer than 6 minutes I would recommend this fantastic vacuum cleaner to everyone - I never realised how difficult my cleaning life has been without this absolute gem!

We have had our Dyson DC59 for less than a week and already use it daily. With a Bub who is now on the move, it is fantastic for running over the floor quickly to make sure it is clean for her to play on. Great for cleaning crumbs of the couch and floor and other little messes you don't want to get the big Dyson out for. When we first got it, I went over the floor which was already relatively clean and was amazed at how much dust it sucked up. Price is a little expensive, but if you can afford it it is worth it.

Love the new features such as the drop in filter & larger head, so easy to use! I upgraded from the DC44 animal & am pleasantly surprised by the difference in the 2, much prettier too which is always a winner in my eyes ;) It goes from carpet to hardwood with ease & is the perfect machine for cleaning up after my toddler who loves to cruise around the house with food in hand! Well worth the extra dollars as dyson go the distance :)

with two young girls at home I couldn't do without my Dyson! I love it. I was surprised at first at how long the battery life is as well. I'm able to clean my kitchen/family room and hall way and bathrooms. all of which need s daily vacuum so I only need to get my big Dyson out once a week now.

I have it charging in the laundry which is in the middle of the house. If we make a mess or if people are coming over I just quickly grab it off the wall and give it a quick zip over. I can take it out to the garage and vacuum up all the sand and leaves my three year old leaves in the car. It is super fast and thorough. It is so easy just to do the vacuuming with this rather than lugging around my plugin and having to replug a couple of times to do the house and I can assure you it's not a big house, but the charge in it lasts the whole house without running out of power.

Christmas craziness has come and gone and you wouldn't even know it at our house. Our dyson sucked up every single bit of tinsel, fake christmas tree leaves, shortbread crumbs and all other unrecogniseable bit of fluff, dust and crud! It was so easy just to grab the dyson and run it over the floor between putting up decorations, eating, wrapping, eating, unwrapping, eating, playing, eating, sleeping, eating and eating. It was a food oriented christmas at our house! Suffice to say, it actually really did make a massive difference to how our house felt in the busiest time of the year for us. To be able to just quickly tidy up any mess before it got out of control, was brilliant. Christmas was a whole lot less messy for us this year! Thank you Dyson... I love you!

I have a large home with lots of tiles and 2 teenagers that are mine but always seem to have more than that ? and our dog "Bella" who thinks she is one of the teenagers!! The Dyson DC59 digital slim vacuum cleaner is fast, powerful and easy to clean, gone are the days of my tile mop and dustpan. I am converted, never used a Dyson before and wondered what all the hype was surrounding this product, well worth the money. I will be keeping my DYSON...Thanks

I love my Dyson, it is so easy to pick it up and just do a quick vacuum around the place. I was so surprised at how much dust there are daily. I love the fact that I can see how much dust that my Dyson can pick up, and it is great to pick up all the food crumbs left behind by my two little ones. It is also light, which means it can be used by everyone in the family. Even my 2.5 DS will pick it up and vacuum when he sees me using it.

I have had my digital slim for 12 mnths, I also have an upright dyson, so to get the animal slim required a lot of convincing, my husband was adamant that I did not need it, however after much pouting and whining I got one, and it is the best investment ever, I still use my other dyson, and let the kids use it in their bedrooms, as the digital slim is mine, but I was so excited today to catch my husband using it, so I have converted him, and I cannot recall him using a vacuum in the last 5 years, so this is a miracle in itself, this is the best investment ever.

Hi, I wanted to share the things about the Dyson that I didnt like. so here goes... My hand gets a little tired holding the button down to make the vacuum operate. It would be nice to be able to lock the button on, when doing large areas. thats it..... :D

Today I decided to do my video review on how easy this vacuum actually is. Although the vacuum works way better than me on camera, I gave it my best lol The attachments are so easy to use, and all relatively light to make the manoeuvrability of the unit easy for any direction or elevation.

This is my final review and four weeks in, I'm still loving the Dyson! East to clean, easy to clean with, easy to carry, easy to charge. And it is never failing to do a wonderful job. Last week I took it to my parents house to vacuum after they had already vacuumed their carpet with their own cleaner. We were all amazed at how much additional dust and dirt the Dyson picked up on what should have been clean carpet! Five stars in every way - I am a Dyson convert!

Well, a month into using the Dyson DC59 and I'm still as impressed as day one. I have carpet and polished floor boards throughout the house and its suction and ease of use on all floor types is incredible. With 3 dogs and 2 cats frequenting my house the ease of cleaning up any fur/hair is so so easy. The only complaint (only minor) would be the size of the dirt collection chamber. To keep it compact I understand it must be small but a little bigger would be great. Maybe I just need to vacuum more often!!!

Used the vacuum cleaner for whole house and car have been very happy about it. Today I used it on my cat's cushion with the small brush, onLyn used 1 , 90% of the hair on it gone. Since using the Dyson, my hayfever is Lot better, my carpet is looking new.I am very impressed by the performance and will recommed my family member to the Dyson vacuum cleaner.

Review 4 - Improvements Don't get me wrong - I love the Dyson DC59. But here are my thoughts on some ways it could be improved: • when continuously holding down the trigger, I got a sore trigger finger! Especially when cleaning a big room. Is there a way to have a switch to turn so that it points to either continuous power or short bursts? • the dust compartment filled up so quickly - really needs to be bigger. Or maybe my house is just really really dirty? Could there be 2 different sized interchangeable options - a smaller dust compartment for those people who want the small lightweight version of this vacuum & a bigger dust compartment for lazy people like me who want to empty it less often! • Please provide wall screws in the box so that it can be set up right away. It was bizarre that it didn't come with the 2 wall fixture screws. I really can't think of any other improvements. I do love my new Dyson & am very grateful to Dyson & MoMs for this opportunity to try out, review & hopefully keep this amazing vacuum. Thanks for reading!

This vacuum cleaner really is amazing. It is so easy to use and light weight to manouver up and down my stairs while vacuuming! I love how the flap opens so easily to empty out the cylinder after each use and then you just place it back in it's cradle so it is all charged up for next time. With a young baby crawling around i love how it is cordless so there is no temptation to try to chew the electrical cord or get it wrapped around her neck etc. My 11 year old son who DOES NOT like to clean anything really enjoys using the Dyson too. It has so much power for cleaning up any mess off the floor and being a very busy mum it has made my life so much easier when i comes to keeping my floors clean.

I had my mother in law coming over, 10 mins notice and I was able to whip around the house SO quickly, no lugging a heavy vacuum cleaner around and unplugging and plugging in different rooms, just move effortlessly from room to room (and shutting the doors on the rest!). the kids were not tripping over the cords and tripping me up in the process! The only downfall I have found so far is that I have to hold the power on all the time and my finger gets sore (the little things I know). I understand this is to save power but it would be great to have a switch I could flick on to keep it on whilst I move around the room. I tend not to take my finger off it for quite a while anyway so it wouldn't really be saving too much power whilst I am vacuuming. Apart from that, I am finding it VERY hard to fault.

My floors have never been cleaner, the ease of use for this vacuum is great, we have used it on carpet, tiles and in the car. My children are able to use it and my youngest (8) no longer runs away from the vacuum. Definitely recommend this for anyone. If you are looking for a light weight but still plenty of suction get this vacuum

So a week on and I've been able to leave the Dyson alone long enough to charge fully and put it to further use. It is fantastic to be able to just pick it up to clean up a small spill, like a dustbuster but infinitely better because it has suction and reach. I'm also able to vaccum the entire house on one charge, initially I thought I wasn't going to be able to do this but that was because the vaccuum was set to boost. Really you don't need boost for general vaccuuming as the suction is already good enough. It is so much quicker and easier, I don't have to plug and unplug it as I move around the house, I don't have to move all the furniture to get under it as it reaches under couches and beds effortlessly, and it is just so light. The dust bucket is pretty much full once I have done the house. I'm still not sold on having to empty the dust bucket, that is one area where I still prefer my traditional Miele with is dust bags. My Miele was probably around the same RRP or a bit more expensive, but I would definitely rate this above it, simply for the convenience of not being cordless and getting under furniture without compromising on suction.

I am lucky enough to have a large walk-in linen cupboard with a plug in - perfect place to mount the docking station for the Dyson DC59 - which hardly requires any room as it is so small & compact ! First of all my Hubby mounted the docking station the wrong way - we have since flipped it around the proper way (the vacuum tube meant to point down & therefor you can have it all set up ready to vacuum - just unclip from the wall). There is also a spot for 2 of the additional attachments on the docking station - which is also handy.

Vacuuming has never been easier with the Dyson DC59 - so lightweight & easy to operate even my kids have a go at vacuuming now ! With no power cords to worry about & get tangled up in it is such a joy to vacuum ! The suction power is incredible & it is able to maneuver around the house & tight spaces with ease ! Loving this vacuum & have been recommending it to all of my friends & family !

Since I've started using the Dyson DC59 I've noticed a lot less dust build up around the house - when I used my old vacuum cleaner it seemed it would just blow dust all over the house while in the process of vacuuming - not with the Dyson ! As it is cordless it is also super easy to do little "touch up" vacuuming jobs around the house

I have 2 videos uploaded to YouTube. One of the amazing Dyson being used by our 7 year old,and the second a little review by Emma herself. She used to hate the loud noise of the vacuum cleaner but now she enjoys using the cleaner herself. Next week will be put through the test for car cleaning. So far I have mainly used the motorized head which has ample suction without using the boost button. It is easy to clean, although I find myself having to pull out all the hair and fluff from the canister. But not a huge deal. Love this product. I am cleaning almost every second day.

Not only is the Dyson DC59 light weight , easy to operate - it is also a breeze to clean the filter ! Just lift it out from the top - rinse under water & dry ! Too easy ! Also, when you register your machine with Dyson for warrantee purposes they will send you reminders via email when to clean your filter - how awesome is that !??!! Just another reason why I love this vacuum !

So easy to empty the "bagless" canister on the Dyson - at the touch of a button the lid flips open & the dust empties out - so simple & uncomplicated ! I just walk straight outside to the bins & empty it out (such a light little canister !) What a great feature - just another reasom why I love this vacuum. It is so easy that I empty it after after vacuum session.

Day 2 with my Dyson DC59 I cleaned my car. We have a large Landcrusier so plenty of surface area to clean, we have 2 children & a long haired dog that all manage to all make a mess, not to mention the buckets of sand we seem to bring home in the car after each trip to the beach. It was amazing to watch the Dyson pick up all the dog hair & sand right before my eyes. I loved using the attachments to get into the hard to reach places under seats etc. Love my Dyson & my clean car :)

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the Dyson DC 59 & I have been using it for approx. 2 weeks now. I can honestly say my carpets have never looked better (almost as if they have been "steam cleaned" !). I love the fact that is Cordless (not more going from plug to plug with cumbersome cords !) it is also super lightweight & easy to maneuver around with. If you are in the market for a new vacuum I would highly recommend the Dyson DC 59 !

The Dyson Digital Slim is so easy my kids are using it. My husband said that it even gets under the table without moving the chairs, and it gets right to the edges. I Love it, our poor upright may be feeling a little jealous though as it hasn't been used in over a week now.

Since getting the Dyson I have used it about 10 times already. I find it so easy to use. When I notice a bit of dust collecting on the tiles instead of getting down on my hands and knees I just whip out the Dyson and vacuum it up now. It is so easy to use on Any surface and have been quite pleased with the amount it picks up in relation to cat litter. I have a very messy cat who always flicks litter everywhere. My last motorized head used to just flick the litter everywhere instead of sucking it up so I was constantly having to change heads on the machine, very time consuming. The Dyson makes very light work of my daily cleaning. Am absolutely loving it. Next test will be car cleaning and to see how my 7 year old likes it.

If there is ONE present you want this Christmas - this is it ! Wow ! I just love this vacuum ! It exceeded my expectations ! So lightweight & powerful - cleaning has never been easier ! It is LOOKS great - metallic deep purple & silver casing - Nice ! If you find one of these under your Christmas tree you would be very lucky indeed - so start "hinting" to Santa now !

Okay I picked up my Dyson from the post office, it was so light. I drove home carefully and then ripped open the wrapping. Upon opening the Dyson box, I had assembled the vacuum quicker than my five year old can eat a cookie. My finger hit the trigger and we were off. I cleaned one bedroom, and was looking out the windows to make sure my neighbors couldn't see the dust and human hair collected from my bedroom floor. I decided I better stop right there, and charge my girl Danni. Oh yer my Dyson has a name. I will post next week about Mine and Danni's adventurers.

Day 1 of my new time saver, I thought I would give it a good test to start with, "the fireplace". Well it didn't disappoint, it was a cold winter and my old vacuum struggles to pick up the timber dust and general dirt associated with a fire place. As you can see from the photo (mid vacuum) the dyson slimline got through it easy. The swivel head made it easy to move in and around the vacuum. It has made the sandstone look clean and fresh again. The vacuum was also very easy to empty once I was done, gone are the dreaded vacuum bags which are just a mess when you change them. One satisfied customer (vacuum 4hrs old :) )

I have had this beautiful piece of machinery for 3 days now and I am still smiling. I am looking for reasons to vacuum (weird I know). the past use to consist of vacuuming the house, then whilst sitting down for a cuppa after I would watch the black fur tumble weeds roll past me. My dogs fur would be rolling down the hall, all over the babies play mat resulting in her eating a few, and always noticeable while mopping. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore. 3 days have past since I vaccummed the house, there is a noticeable less amount of dog hair on he floor, I have not seen a full blown tumble weed since. Thank you Dyson! I love having my dog Inside and now my partner can't use the hair as an excuse :)

Day 1 with my new Dyson DC59 & I couldnt be happier with it. I was so excited to receive my new vacuum cleaner that I couldn't wait to rip into the box & get vacuuming!! I had only vacuumed & mopped the house the night before it arrived, so I was keen to put it to the test to see just how much grunt a cordless vacuum auctually had.....I was impressed as the collection barrel was filling before my eyes! So my clean house wasn't as clean as I thought!! The dog hair that it picked up off the floor rug was unreal.....I can't wait to use it again

Well my DC59 is fully charged and ready to go! I love this so much that I've vacuumed my house multiple times today. Totally unheard of in my house. Only con I can think is that it's a bit noisy but that's a tiny thing compared to all the benefits. I love how easily I can move from tiles to carpet. My old hand held vac couldn't cope at all on carpet. In fact I think the Dyson on normal mode sucks much harder than my old vac ever did on boost mode. You can literally feel it sucking to the floor. It even vacuumed easily over my thick shaggy rug on the playroom floor. You should've seen how much crumbs came out of those shaggy fibres, I was horrified!

I have just called Dyson Au to register my Dyson DC59 for warranty purposes (to anyone else who has received a Dyson to trial - I suggest you do the same !) Well , the lady I spoke with at Dyson was named Donna & she was absolutely Lovely to deal with ! I even mentioned to her that my "docking station" that we fixed have to the wall doesn't seem to "latch" as securely as it should (it falls off if you bump it) and she has ordered me a replacement holder FREE of charge & will be delivered in the next 10 days ! The Dyson customer care line very helpful ! I love my Dyson DC59 a little more every day :)

I have never been so excited to do the vacuuming before! Couldn't wait to put the Dyson to the test, the kids eagerly unwrapped the box and it was so easy to put together. We were able to test it straight away due to there being a couple of minutes charge on the unit. I cannot believe how much stuff it picked up over the small area we tested!!! I was shocked as I had only vacuumed yesterday. It was so lightweight and easy to push along the carpet unlike our barrel vacuum, even my four year old could use it! I am now patiently waiting for it to fully charge up so I can really put it to the test!

Hands down this is the best Vacuum I have ever owned ! Love the fact that it is cordless ! The suction power is incredible - my carpets come up like brand new after each vacuum ! So easy to operate - light weight (even my young kids like to have a go vacuuming - Bonus !) would recommend this vacuum to anyone !

Anyone who has young children will know exactly what it is like to have to constantly chase them around picking up after them! My 3 year old son decided to make a nice mess all over his bedroom floor with his coloured sand that WAS in a jar. When i went to vacuum it up he asked me if he could do it? So i thought why not! He had so much fun using the DC59, couldn't wipe the smile off his face and it wasn't too heavy for him to hold either! This vacuum cleaner really is wonderful… We love it!!

I have owned a Dyson for many years and have often pondered the handheld and wondered if it was necessary... so Glad I purchased as part of the trial! This is a brilliant piece of machinery - perfect for the stairs in our house.. I no longer feel like I am going to fall when I vacuum. It has amazing suction & the interchangeable attachments work really well also. Love love love and wouldn't hesitate tor recommend.

Fantastic little vacuum on a stick. It cleans up in a jiffy and has fantastic suction. My daughter bought one and I saw how handy it was. Being able to purchase one at a discount was brilliant and having it delivered was a bonus as well. Only downside was that the storage area fills up so quick but that is to be expected froma lightweight vaccum that sucks up every dust molecule in its path.

I love the vacuum but I didn't like that it only lasted 20mins and how long it needed to charge it for. But other then that couldn't fault it but it wouldn't work for me. I now own a dyson allergy as it was enough to show me how great it was ...

I was so excited to be taking part in this trial, and I have not been disappointed! I have been super impressed by how lightweight and maneuverable the DC59 is. More than that though, I am thrilled at how much it picks up from my floors. I was almost embarrassed to have vacuumed only the day before with my old vacuum cleaner....and then filled the barrel of the Dyson just 24 hours later. It's capacity to pick up dirt, dust and animal hair far exceeds my old vacuum....which is now on it's way to vacuum cleaner heaven! Thanks so much for the opportunity - one very happy owner here!

I can't recommend this vacuum cleaner enough. It is an absolute life saver to us. I have a 3 year old and a 6 month old and keeping the house clean was a nightmare. With the Dyson DC59 - I can vacuum caring my 6 month old around the house - its that easy. Light as, no cords... its all smiles in my house with a clean house and doesn't feel like a chore!

This is not my first Dyson stick vacuum, I also have an older DC35 in the office which had poorer suction and a short battery life. The newer DC59 improves on those shortcomings in spades. With stronger suction and over 25 minutes between charges (less if using the hardly needed boost mode), it's rendered our corded vacuum cleaner sitting in the cupboard - collecting dust, so to speak! Since having the Dyson DC59, we have been vacuuming way more than ever. Not only for the convenience - and fun, but it's got a "built-in" timer that means no open-ended chore as the battery will go flat. And it goes flat pretty much suddenly, the suction doesn't get weaker then dies. You also can't use it while being recharged. Once you plug the charger in, the vacuum stops. I've always liked how easy it is to dismantle Dyson vacuums which makes it very easy to clean - see attached pic. The filter just needs a rinse under the tap every now and then. Interestingly the vacuum still works when you are emptying the basket or taking it apart, so go easy on that trigger! The vacuum cleaner is not cheap, but considering the frequency it gets used, it's very good value. If you have a big house, you'd still need a plug-in (or ducted) vacuum cleaner, but the DC59 would be a great everyday alternative for more targeted jobs. It's also great for the car. Do check out Dyson's flex-hose attachment to make it even better. It helps that we live in a small two bedroom apartment, but it's the convenience and versatility with the DC59 that makes it a stand-out. Being the dad and hubby, my wife couldn't help but chuckle whenever she'd hear I got the Dyson going - again. Here's a tip - perfect for fruit flies! Pros - Great suction; Convenient; Versatile (especially with additional Dyson toolkits); Easy to clean; No ongoing maintenance costs such as filters or vacuum bags. Cons - Doesn't work while plugged in; Basket size is smallish; Above average initial cost.

This vacuum cleaner has been on our “great to have” list ever since we saw it being put to use at our friend’s house while visiting them. Like our friends, having a one year old who has started eating solids, we really appreciate the ease with which we can just bring out a powerful cordless vacuum cleaner and clean up any mess after meal time. It is easy to use to just clean up any food stuck in the corner or gaps in the high chair or on the floor. It is also very handy when it comes to cleaning the inside of a car. Gone are the days when we have to drag a heavy vacuum with a long extension cord to the carport to vacuum the car. Without having to drag a vacuum cleaner around, having the Animal makes me clean a lot more frequently. With the different attachments, it allows a good cleaning all around the house. Although it’s been easy to use and reasonably light weight, I do find my hand, especially my wrist (I had RSI before), gets a little tired after using it for an extended time. It means that I had to watch out for how long I use it each time. However, the Animal is an extremely good vacuum cleaner and I would recommend it to family and friends.

The best money I've ever spent. The slim, cordless deign of the Dyson DC Animal makes it easy to use & get into those difficult hard to reach places. So much easier & enjoyable to use without a cord dragging behind as you vacuum. Having 2 young children, the Dyson DC Animal makes cleaning up after meal times quick & easy. A must-have vacuum for all Mums with a family. My husband even enjoys using it.

I wasn't sure if all the hype was going to be true or not but the Dyson sure lives up to it's reputation. Thanks to its efficiency and the fact that is cordless, I'm now able to vacuum with ease. Getting down low and in those hard to reach places is a breeze with the slimline head. The only downside is the battery life. I can just do our three bedroom house before it runs out but if you're trying to do a bigger area you might not be able to get around it in one go. Other than that, its an incredible vacuum and it's actually scary to see how much dust is being sucked up from what may seem like a clean carpet. Highly recommended!

The DC59 Animal is by far the best cordless vacuum ever. There is no cord to mess with and with its motorised head, makes cleaning so much easier for small jobs where it becomes a chore to drag out a regular vacuum cleaner. I now vacuum more often too. This vacuum is highly recommended !!!

Oh my god!! This is a word right after seeing the lots of dusts in the machine, after only cleaning the quilt and matress. No wonder we suffer sore throat every morning. Dyson really sucks up the dusts well and miss nothing. Totally recommended!!!

This little gem is an absolute life saver in a busy family house with young children. This dyson is an absolute dream to use and saves me precious time and has halved the time it takes for my weekly household clean of our main living areas..So easy..So dyson!

Light weight but powerful! Good battery life. So many great and easy to use attachments that I can clean everything with the same machine! I have to fight hubby for the right to clean the floors now. I love the wall mount, everything stays together neatly. Perfect for our laminate floor, picks up all the dust with ease. I love that it is cordless!!! No fuss moving the cord from room to room. FREEDOM! I could not be happier with this product!

This vacuum cleaner has made my life so much easier, I just whip around the house every day with no effort a all. My other Dyson has not ,over out of the cupboard in quite a few months. Thumbs up to Dyson.

The Dyson Digital Slim vacuum cleaner makes vacuuming fun. It is gets into the corners easily and the suction is always 100%. The amount of dust and pet hair it picks up is incredible. I love using the dyson everywhere in the house, I even vacuum the walls - there is nothing I can't use it for. The house evens feels cleaner. I love it.

I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity of trialing the Dyson cordless for a month and returning it at the end of the trial if I wasn't happy with it. There is NO WAY I am sending it back. It is the best and easiest vacuum cleaner to use that I have ever owned. Gone are the days of dragging cumbersome machines around and dodging around furniture. The Dyson cordless is amazing!

well what can I say..the Dyson DC59 Animal is just that - without a doubt the best hand vac I've ever used. This little gem really does pick up so much dust and dirt it's quite unbelievable, Its light, It's easy to maneuver and most of all it's actually fun to use without it being a boring task. Highly Recommended.. as Molly would say "do yourselves a favour" and get one..

I've really enjoyed using the Dyson DC59 and what's even better, so has my husband! It's fantastic for doing a quick clean-up of all floors and even picks up dog hair. It really is lightweight and I love the fact it can be used as a small dustbuster – my husband has found it great to use in the cars. I suspect we will never be without one of these in the house!

You would not want to see what this takes out of the rugs that my other Dyson has left behind! Husband loves it, kids love it, it's quick, easy and always ready to go. I had another cordless vacuum that was supposed to be good, but it never really did a good job so I was sceptical about the DC, but it is amazing L)

I purchased the Dyson Slim with the 50% discount offer through Mouth of Mums. It arrived just before Christmas and was wrapped under the tree for me to open on Christmas Day. I have a Dyson standard Vacuum that is probably 5 years old but I really needed something that I could use like a dust buster but could handle kids mess. This is a BRILLIANT vacuum, it has better suction than my current vacuum and my carpets have never looked so clean. It is so handy to have sitting charged and easy to grab when need especially with the long handle to get under things and then saves me from bending down to have to clean up mess. It works well in all areas from bedrooms, kitchen, lounge to the car. It is also great to clean the entire house as you can do sections at a time and as long as you keep on charge you can just clean one area, pop it back on charge and move onto the next and so on. The best thing is having no bulkiness to smack into walls as your not pulling it behind you. The only negative thing I can say is the button can be a pain having to hold it down but at the same it is much easier than having to actually turn on and off. Other than that it would be great if is held it's charge longer but it isn't too much a bother.

I LOVE my Dyson. With two kids it makes cleaning up so easy. I am quickly vacuum up any spills with out the fuss of having to pull a big bulky vacuum out of the cupboard and plug it in. For days when I want to vacuum the whole house the battery last long enough to allow me to do that again without the fuss of swapping power points. So easy and convenient.

I love my Dyson products and find the DC59 to be no exception. Great for those instant clean ups. So lightweight and easy to use. I have had hip replacements, back and hand surgery. The DC59 is a blessing. I am now able to clean my own house. The versitility of the DC59 is wonderful. Quiet enough to use and not wake the baby. Always waiting ready for use. Love it.

I received an email giving me the chance to purchase the DC59 Animal at half price & I could even return it if I wasn't happy with its performance. It won't be going back that's for sure! I already had the DC44 Animal but was looking at upgrading to a new one so the old (which is still going strong) can go to our weekender. A few changes have been made such as a new (& far more convenient) drop in filter, the larger head (but still very easy to maneuver in & out of tight spots) & it's a whole lot prettier! I have a toddler who runs around chasing the cat & more often than not she has food in hand the whole time, the DC59 is easy enough to pull out & clean up her trail of crumbs. It's also great for cleaning up the cat hair that is inevitably shed by the poor puss as she is hunted from one end of the house to the other. It goes from carpet to hardwood flooring & back again without missing a beat. I'm glad I took up the offer & no doubt it will give me many years of service like the DC44 & the twin barrel hepa DC11 have :)

I was so excited when i got an email which offered a trial of the new Dyson Digital Slim for half the price. Id been wanting one for ages! So i thought why not? i'll give it a go. I have a a larger dyson which i use for a whole house vacuum, but i always got frustrated when i had to pull out the big vacuum for something small like a few chips or crumbs on the floor. So the Dyson Digital Slim has been wonderful in that aspect. I just use it the whole day to follow behind my 4 year old and his trail of mess. My son has special needs and is vision impaired, he tends to make a fair bit of mess but doesn't understand/can't see he has, so this has definitely made my life easier, it's so light and easy to use, easy to store and has plenty of power, I would recommend it to anyone! I would definitely recommend this vacuum for those days you just don't want to pull the big vac out or you have a small mess to clean up, due to the small bin capacity you wouldn't want to be using it everyday to clean your whole house.. The suction on this machine compared to other handhelds is amazing with full power till the end. It also makes cleaning the car so much easier.

This is a great vacuum cleaner and is able to clean everywhere in the house.

OMG. My sister gave me the code for the discount and I got a half price Dyson pet vacuum cleaner. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much Dyson for this opportunity. I love everything about it. The colour is good, it is very quick to vacuum and sux up all the pet hair. Only two things I would say would make it 100% perfect is the size of the dust catch and the size of the metal pole should be made adjustable for taller people. But awesome product.

We have a Dyson DC23. This is much less cumbersome so much quicker to pull out to use and easier to manoeuvre. We expected it to have weaker suction and it does but it is still sufficient for the job. It won't be going back....it is already mounted on the wall...it'sd a keeper! :)

This is amazing it sucks up way more dust than my other dyson which is only about two years old. The only problem I have with it is it does not stay charged for long enough to do any more than one room in my house at a time. I am only getting about 7 minutes charge out of it not the 26 mins as on the box it really needs to be able to work for longer than that!

I have received my first email alert from Dyson Au to clean my Dyson filter...when I registered my Dyson for warranty purposes they took my details & offered this service. Cleaning the filter couldn't be easier - it literally took 2 minutes ! It didn't even look dirty - but after emptying plenty on dust from the canister I knew it has been working hard !

Got this animal half price and it just arrived on Friday. Have already used it twice , once on my car and once in the kitchen. The best thing about it is when you suck up those hidden coins that are under the car seat, your able to get them back. I don't think ill ever use my dust-pan ever again in the kitchen either. Its amazing.

I thought I had discovered just about everything this little baby could do.... then I thought.... THE CAR!!!!! oh lordy, how easy was that! all the attachments make it a dream getting into every little hidy hole for dust and crumbs. and the mini power head did wonders on the carpets. And all ladies will be pleased to know that I had the dyson taken away from me by hubby..... he took over and finished the job becuase he loved the results so much :) happy me!! really a fantastic unit, couldnt be happier.

It has been a challenge getting the floors done of late because my two year old is in a terrified of vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, flies, moths.... phase. The beauty of the DC59 however is that I can easily vacuum while he is asleep and not worry about waking him up. Because it is so much quicker (no plugging & unplugging, no moving all the furniture around to get under things) I even still have some time to put my feet up before he wakes up!

IT's been a week or so since I last posted my review and I am still in love with my cordless Dyson! It's SO easy to clean the car now, I used to wait until it was absolutely terrible and then had to go and pay $50 each time to have my car cleaned, now I can do it myself in my own time and my car has NEVER been cleaner (yes, even before kids it was never clean!). Everytime my one year old has a biscuit or any food for that matter it goes all over the floor and I used to be cranky about it, now it's so easy to get the vac out and whip around - I am sure my kids and hubby think I am obsessed but honestly it's the easiest vacuuming has ever been so why not! I feel better when my house is cleaner so this is a godsend for me. I do still wish I could keep the power on rather than hold down the button, but apart from that it's perfect!
